3 mile walk around the sport fields after work today. I probably won't be logging in for the next few days since I have my infusion tomorrow... blah

Welcome merg!
Good Luck tomorrow Longisland!
Way to go Dulci!!!
Power walked/jogged today. Expecting rainy weather for the next 2 days. My heart goes out to all those in the path of tornadoes.

Natsfan, thank you for sharing that moment. Really puts things in perspective....
Completed 30 minutes on the treadmill today as still somewhat stiff and sore from renovations work yesterday. My heart breaks for those affected by the tornadoes. Houses can be rebuilt but lives lost are irreplaceable....
Oh and my band is the Black Salmon tonight...

Nats - thanks for sharing. Dulci, great job!
Voices got to me after work today and I went back out and walked. 3.32 miles; just under 8800 steps.
Night my sculpted sisters.

Thanks Wonder. Rainy weather here next few days as well. Today was perfect though

Good job Patoo. It's hard sometimes to get back out and do it. That's why I like to do it straight from work some days.
I must not be meant to be in a band because nobody is going to buy tickets to see gray eggs and spinach, hahaha. Yesterday was blue salad... so yeah... not meant to be. That's okay though because my ex-husband was in a band and I've had enough of that lifestyle anyway, lol.
G'nite ladies.

Great job on the race, Dulci!
Mary, your mom would be so, so happy to see you healthy and happy. Maybe she WAS there cheering you on.
Good luck tomorrow, longisland, blah is right!!! Get in and get it over with.
I did Zumba tonight, and this afternoon I 'passed' my annual check-in with the oncologist....whew, now I can breathe again for awhile!

nothing done today except many quick trips to the toilet....trying to figure out what the heck I ate

guess I am to claim my band tonight as blue gingerale and crackers.

No workout today but my band is Black Beef Pot Roast.

Mary, what a powerful experience it's funny how things pop into our heads at certain times, I'm sure it was her whispering in your ear how proud she is of you. Dulci great job. A big woohoooooo Ruth. LI good luck tomorrow hope it's easy on you this round. Nihahi hope whatever it is that it passes quickly (pun intended)

This morning was Sh'bam and did Body Pump tonight.

Welcome merg! Yes, you can exercise through chemo, and I think that those of us who do exercise end up better for it on the other end.
Oh Mary! I don't know what to say. So often, I think how amazingly lucky I am to be vital and healthy. It could have been otherwise. Running puts one's mind in focus. One of the reasons I do it.
Speaking of which, I didn't do much exercise yesterday....just 1.6 miles of a run/walk following a marathon envelope-stuffing. I just had to get the mailing out, so guess how I spent my Sunday. I did cue up some good jazz on KPLU streaming, so stuffed away listening to jazz and blues. Hard to type right now as sliced my finger with a deep paper cut. To my credit, I spent the six hours standing up, so that should count a bit.
Fortunately, a wonderful run this evening and heard/saw an Oriole singing. The ones here are different than the Baltimore Orioles I know from growing up, but the same song. We are about to have three HOT days of high 70s.
Dinner tonight is curry made with Easter lamb leftovers. Right now, cooking the rice.
The VOICES are reminding me that I still need to do weights. Long day today, as started before 6 as had to get out some client work. Then the nonprofit work, and I still need to catch up. I also need to text someone in our group with a reminder. YIKES!
I think I'll start with candles.....light tea lights almost every night. Part of winding down, and makes the most prosaic meal special. Have a wonderful evening everyone. - Claire

No pants so I guess my band is the Naked Oreos.

Mary your story made me cry. I know your mom would be so happy for you. I lost my mom at age 56 and I think I will be sad if/when the day comes that I realize I have outlived her. LongIsland, good luck and enjoy your post-infusion rest days. Ruth, congratulations on your check-up. Nihahi, wishing you speedy recovery.
Hooping this afternoon but definitely over-did it Sunday. Shoulder and knees not happy!

My band today is Tan Oatmeal - probably a band that plays gigs at senior centers.

Thanks for the comments on my mom - I knew you all would understand such a bittersweet moment.
Took a rest day yesterday, then did Pilates this morning. We're in for rain for the next few days, so no exercising outside for a while.

Black Yogurt....heavy metal......

Nats, that story of thinking about your mom during your 10K brought tears to my eyes just now! You are really honoring your mom's memory.
My memories of my mom inspire me in a different way. She died of ALS so I feel like I know what "I can't" really looks like. Yes, there is such a thing as "I can't" but it's not true when most people say it. The truth is usually more like, "I don't want to try."
Anyway this morning I ran 5K again before work. Will walk the dogs on my midday break. Yesterday I worked out with weights at the gym.

Hi all, I'm new to this thread. My band name is Black Celery. Yesterday I hiked thru the woods -- took the steep trail up and down and got a call from the eldest asking for a ride RIGHT NOW so jogged the last 1/2 mile. That was fun so today gonna do a slow jog thru the woods about 30 to 40 minutes and walk the last 1/2 mile.

Welcome, mz mes!!

I am a blue banana.
Been getting my 10k steps in every day. Sunday did a nice hike with a friend, much more challenging than walking around the neighborhood. Been to the gym too, worked on arms, tonight is legs. And my classical stretch in the mornings, to get me going.
I had many pages to catch up on, but want to say I am grateful to be a part of such a wonderful group of women!

I wont even try to respond individually to each post that made me think or smile but I am enjoying visiting with you all -even though I sign in every other day. Thank you for letting me hang out here. You are a fun bunch!
I also exercise every other day. I was so tired yesterday that did 1 hour (8+ miles) on stationary bike. I felt a bit self-conscious that you all do real exercise and I was cheating (sort of) and barely moving, but that was my best. Planning for a make-up session after work today!
Gentle hugs to those in active treatment. You Meg starting chemo today...best to you! I am also a newbie to this thread and had the combo chemo you are having today. Will you get 4 cycles?

Welcome to all the new ladies. You sound amazing!
30 minutes - 11km - exercise bike.
Pyjama Pink Pizza. I don't know what is worse - wearing pink pants or eating Pizza. Doing both together sounds criminal!

grey carrot sticks....checking in!
Tummy all better, but doing RC stuff again Tues and Thursdays. Gotta dash cause I'm taking the bike for it's spring tuneup tonight. At least I'll get a ride out of it, and hopefully and fast walk after supper.
Hi to the newbies....this place is great and we are ALL awesome, though the band "menu" is dubious at times.
nisa...I truly fail to see what is "meak" about an hour on the stationary bike....be proud girl!!!!

Welcome Mz Mes!
Nisa, moving is moving! I never count how fast or far, just how long.
I need to get some more colorful pants.....tonight I'm Blue Chile Lime Chicken (salsa/blues, if there is such a combination).

This doesn't have anything to do with exercise, but I woke up early this morning and saw this strange looking sky out my bedroom window. The 'flash' is from raindrops on the pane.

No kidding Nihahi - an hour on a stationary bike certainly count as real exercise and a full workout in my book! Way to go Nisa!

I enjoy catching up on the good stories here. Dulci thanks for sharing. You should be proud of yourself. You are a survivor in more ways than one and now you are an athlete! Natsfan, what a great story too. My father died young and so did my brother and it is strange to think I outlived them both, even though BC tried to take me out. Not going down without a fight!
Wow, Ruth that is beautiful, but red sky at morning, sailor take warning!
Today I got back on track after the weekend off. I volunteered at the ACS Discovery Ball and well it took a lot of pre-work on Friday and Saturday to get myself ready for a black tie event! We were on our feet for six hours so yes I also took Sunday (and Monday) off. I hope to get more consistant this week. So today I did 30 minutes of stretching and balance with my trainer and 53 minutes walking.
I am the Black Salad too. We're healthy heavy metal.

Love the photo Ruth.
Hit the gym today for 30 minutes on the Elliptical plus some weights. Expecting days of rain so grateful for my fitness center. Not hearty enough to brave the elements and exercise....LOL

Black Chocolate Biscuit here and I am melting, it was 102 degrees here today and now at 10pm it's still stinking hot oh and soooo windy

I forgot to wear my Fitbit today but I put it on before heading out to Body Step tonight, and then drove over to another city and did Sh'bam and I've done 12000 steps between the two classes. I think I have to go and dig out a fan from the garage don't think I'll make it through the night without it.

Yikes, Cheryl - I'll send you some of the cold rain we're having. Better yet, Nihahi, why don't you ship out the weekend snow to Cheryl and she can ship out the hot weather to you.

Stayed inside and did 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning - as Odie says, I'm not going out in that stuff! It's been raining since yesterday morning. We're getting those same storms that have hit the South as they move north up the coast. Fortunately they've diminished in intensity so they don't expect the severe damage they've had further south, but it's still going to rain for a couple more days.
Anyone in the South, please take care.

Ran 20 minutes.

I might be able to claim some hurdles as well after the storm/power outage last night. Loads of worms to jump over...

Denim Omelet.
