I am finally ready for the trip to Portland. It's going to be a HOT one, but think I have all the electrolyte and energy potions I need.  Already visualizing that 20' Fat Tire Amber at the FINISH. - Claire

Cheryl I think I see Jericho in that Reebok video-- is that right? Good for her!

I'm celebrating my 2 year survival today. I had my checkup -- all clear and I got demoted from every 3 months to every 6 months follow-up. And my MO told me I don't need to fokllow up with the RO any more. So, yay!  Extra cake for me today.

Hooping today, and drove up and down the coast for my ultrasound, checkup, and lunch with a friend. The water was gorgeous-- brightest greens and blues I remember seeing. Huge full moon tonight also.

SlowDeepBreaths, you asked about my shoulder-- not getting any improvement from the injections or exercises. I get a little bit of ROM improvement, then the pain ramps up enough that I back off on the exercises, and it goes back to where it was. Treading water really. At least my daily pain med requirement is reducing from the peak it had reached. I think it's going to be a long road still.

_Ann_, Congratulations on your milestone! I'm sorry you're not getting much improvement from the injections. Glad to hear you're pain med requirement is reducing. How long will you be getting the injections?

Good luck, Claire with your ride.    Ann, congrats on your "promotion" not demotion, to 6 months.  I think I heard they called last nights moon a supermoon.  It was cloudy here so I missed it.

Rainy today so I went to the health club.  40 minutes treadmill, 15 minutes cycling with three sprint periods, a little upper and lower body weights.

285 minutes this week.  Look what you girls did to me!

Yes Ann it's her, jump kicking and dancing in the video. Congratulations on your graduation to the 6 month check up club, sorry your shoulder is still giving you problems, if at the end of the study you find you are getting the placebo do they then give you the real deal? Hope you are enjoying your ride Claire. Too funny Twohobbies this thread really is addicting isn't it encouragement really works. No exercise for me for a couple of days I'm back on antibiotics as the pneumonia has reared up again so this afternoon I'm going to get a Pedicure and then sit under the umbrella by the pool and read.

Congratulations Ann on your two year milestone. Enjoy extra cake!

    Claire, enjoy the ride...

Hopefully Lilacblue' s fundraiser was a huge success today...

Exercise today for me was lots of running around gathering provisions for the birthday party for DH tomorrow. Lots of walking and lugging groceries which will offset the ice cream cake, right?

    Happy Sunday!

Congratulations to both badger and Ann on your checkups! Cheryl, better behave until you kick that bug! I will check out the videos when I get home. Walked this morning and played volleyball in a pool this afternoon. Pretty hot and humid for a North Dakota girl

Long walk this morning. Saw a three foot long snake! Not a rattler, fortunately. Thanks for all the anniversary wishes :-)

They told me I won't know whether I got placebo until 6 months after the study closes, and I can't get the real drug because it's not FDA approved yet. Hopefully I'll be recovered by that time anyway.

Finally - got out for a 35 minute walk, ran the last quarter mile - whoo hoo!  I have not done much since the California Dreaming trip so this is long overdue!  After a 2nd bout of gut issues that lasted 10 days again I'm finally able to go for a walk without worrying about running for the bathroom.  Still don't know what the problem was or is but my PCP is referring me to a gastro-enterologist soon.  I've been lurking but haven't posted much lately.

Ann, great on the 2nd year and Odie, hope DH's party was fun and he happy. S&S, take good care and I hope someone get's to the bottom of what is going on and that you are on the mend sooner than soon. Teacher, my dog needs a spa day of a good bath & nail clip.  TwoHobbies, good on those minutes.  Badger, did I miss reading you too had a yearly clear recently?  Ruth, you must have a terrific tan and Claire, enjoy the ride.

Our fundraiser was rather remarkable, with yoga, pilates, tai chi,
unwind your spine, singing bowl relaxation plus a marquee of body
workers proving reflexology, reki, indian head massage and body massage
and also another marquee with talks on how to think positively, east
kent breast screening and in the afternoon, a woman who brought lovely
elegant lingerie to sell. Of course the vegetarian buffet lunch was
impressive and "stonkingly delicious" said PRP partner Jennie. It was
myself and friend Lief who provided the food and the best offering
overall was Lief's Sexy Beetroot-beetroot roasted in tamari and balsamic
vinegar was so amazingly tasty. All who participated donated their
time to our effort to keep this weekly pilates class for women going
through or after treatment of breast cancer and ongoing and free to
    those who come.

I had such a good time with Lief and Sarah
helping working up the food for presentation. Lief has an encyclopedic
mind for proper horticultural names of plants and
flowers, so she went around lovely Tram Hatch with owner Pam (who
possesses the same plant acumen) and they came back with many edible
flowers to make our salads and cheese board attractive and inviting.
Funny how old fashioned American carrot salad with added pineapple was
viewed as exotic and new to these English palates. It was super
successful and Jennie who was the main ringmaster of the day said let's
do it again next year - only bigger! Our little bc initiative is now
flying beautifully under it's own wings.

Got our boy off on his science school trip this evening for a night long bus ride to Geneva.  Off to tour CERN, to tour the hadron collider. They also have a chocolate factory tour with strict instructions to bring back lots of chocolate.  DH took Monday off and he and I are having a day together and have a
special lunch out planned. Have a great start to the week everyone!

O my goodness. Everybody is so busy. My dog and I are still doing week 1 of c25k. I'm also still doing the gym 2 times a week.

Ann, you should like this. I bought a hula hoop today. I was inspired by my GD who has actually done hooping videos now. She is so excited with her new skills, that I raced out for my own hoop. By the way, I am a terrible hooper!!!!

I did 6000 steps just shopping with my husband today - holy cow that was a fair bit of walking for groceries.

I hope everything I going well for all of you.

I walked at the lake today for 27 minutes and did about 40 minutes of weeding.

Sweet, I'm glad to hear you are feeling a little better and hopefully the GI will get to the bottom of your issue.

Lilac sounds like a successful event and fun and I hope your son's trip will be very fruitful, or should I say chocolate-ful.  Suddenly I  can't get my mind off chocolate.

hi all, got out for a lovely walk this morning while it was still cool.  Then a day of working on the computer and in the kitchen.  Made meatloaf for supper and mini-cheesecake tarts with raspberries from my friend's garden.  Topped off the weekend with a bluegrass concert at city park this evening.

LB - glad fundraiser was a success and thx for new beet recipe!

Wonderland/Ruth, enjoy lunch tomorrow! ♥ to all

Mary, thank you so much for the detailed melatonin post - what a wealth of information.  It's only been 6 months of sleepless nights for me, and I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed by it, don't know how you did it for 2 years! I will call my MO and ask if it is OK, but I'm certainly willing to give it a try if he thinks it's OK.  Will let you know if it works for me.

In the meantime, Cheryl, I do take my pill in the morning, so I will switch it to evening and see if that makes a difference.  But knowing me, I'll probably forget to take it!

Have not done much exercise other than walking.  Unless you call wrestling with bras at the specialty lingerie shop exercise, with a very earnest young lady telling me I'm truly a size 34 and not a 38.  Maybe she's right, but the 34's gave me back boobs, and I could barely breathe, so I walked out of there without buying anything.

The good news is my gym reopens today, the bad news is I have a training session scheduled, and since I have been lazy with a capital L these last two weeks, I know I will be a hurting puppy tomorrow!

This morning we walked the dog for an hour in the steamy North Carolina sun. Had a fabulous lunch with Wonderland and her DH at an English Tea Room (sorry you couldn't join us, Cheryl!). Tomorrow is a travel day, I will post some pictures later in the week once I get reorganized. Sounds like I am going back to a polar vortex... happily this time

Nice to read of the meet-up of Ruth and Wonderland.  Pat, nice your gym is back open and Teacher, I've not experienced cording and do know it's not pleasant; hope it's resolved in some way soon. TwoHobbies, I'm looking forward to the chocolate.  Had a terrific lunch with DH and we went to a fantastic farm shop and bought some goodies for dinner.

Did a 5k run this morning and power step tonight at the gym.

My trainer spent our session today massaging my neck, shoulder, and arm. The cording didn't hurt like yesterday and I was able to raise both arms again. Yippee!

Hi all. One sore puppy here after Saturdays workout and mostly the weights. I managed a 26minute walk and would love a hot bath if my hot flashes weren't so bad. Has anyone noticed hot flashes are worse with extensive exercise?

Back to work and back to exercise. Went to bootcamp tonight since my coworker can't go tomorrow and came home to work on the laundry. Might go to bootcamp again tomorrow night anyway so as to get 3x this week.

Ruth and Wonderland, so glad you had a wonderful lunch!!  Walked hills again today!! Have not been to the gym yet, hooey to get down there sometime this week!! Since watching my Grandaughter, I don't sit as much, so I hope that is helping with weight loss! Oldie, I would love to do a boot camp! Teacher, your massage sounds wonderful, and hope it helps with your LE! Two hobbies, yes, my hot flashes are more intense when exercising!! LilacBlue, I need to do a 5k daily, good for you!!! Have a great evening, everyone!!!

Home on vacation today and tomorrow.  Got in nearly 10,000 steps just working on my task list at home today.  Laundry (up and down the stairs), picking up and putting away took me all over the house many times, grocery shopping, also did some weeding and flower planting and several trips of carrying a full watering can to my newly landscaped front yard Smile.  Obviously I'm feeling much better than the past several weeks - yay!!! Still haven't quite talked myself into going back to the 6am workouts at the gym but my classmates frequently let me know how much they've missed me.

Love reading about everyone else's activities - such a great variety!
