Dulci so good to see you again, you've been missed. So happy you are enjoying the time with your DD Sweet. Patoo when you find out how to get rid of the belly flat please let me know, no matter what I do it never shifts for me, dang it. LB I am feeling better, I'm home tonight and it is very lonely without a big ginger cat sitting in the back of my chair.
This morning did Sh'bam and tonight did a Body Combat class.

My Core class has turned into Step It Up & Dance! It's more cardio, uses a step for part of it, all of which is fine, but I will need to think about how to get the toning component in. Also went for a short walk because it is really beautiful here at the moment.

No stone passage for DH yet. I keep telling him to get a move on!
The urologist said they can go get it if it doesn't move on its own, but the procedure sounded uncomfortable, shall we say. So we're in a waiting game. TwoHobbies - DH pretty much echoed what you said about the ambulance ride - it was bumpy and painful. Agree - strange they wouldn't have better suspension on those things to help smooth out the ride for people in distress. Pilates DVD this morning. Tonight is our standard Tuesday track session with the running clinic - we're going to do 12 laps, with the middle 4 doing something called a Ranger Run. My guess is that it's some kind of interval work, but I'll find out tonight. Still in the 80's, but humidity is down - hope that makes things a tad better.

LB and Claire, I also like his shorts. Dulci, welcome back! Natsfan, I hope the wait is not too long.
Salsa yesterday and Zumba tonight.

Natsfan..
I've passed 3 on my own and they've had to "go and get" one. It doesn't SOUND pleasant, but since you're knocked out and when you wake up the excruciating pain is gone, well, it's actually not bad. Hope he passes it soon. It is the most miserable feeling.
Everyone else...thanks for the welcome backs! Appointments all day today so a little walking and some stretching. Nothing to Humble Brag about!

Heidihill, great minds think alike!

Mary, your poor husband! I did have a kidney stone taken out surgically, and it was not too bad, but yes it would be better if it passed on its own!! Hope it happens soon! The waiting is the hardest, hope pain meds are helping!!

Patoo, I had similar results, with elevated glucose and cholesterol ! I am board with you!! Gave to nip this now!!! Hope you feel better!!

Patoo, sometimes those health checks are a good motivator to improve but I do hate that feeling of being a ticking time bomb. My cholesterol went up on the AI too - up almost 30 points! And this with eating way better than I used to. At least no glucose problems and my triglycerides were very low. I've way kicked up my exercise this summer. I'll be interested to see if I can get it down some and/or get my HDL up. We shall see.
My husband's friend was telling him about the 5:2 diet. Two days a week you eat only 500 calories and the other 5 you eat what you want. Today I tried it and I did get through but its not that pleasant. I told my husband if I don't lose 2 lbs tomorrow I'm done with this idea!
We finally got a day without rain so I was able to mow my front lawn this evening - 45 minutes.

try loseit.com....it's free and you get calories 'back' when you exercise!

Ruth I've done Lose It and My Fitness Pal and 7 weeks into it I had lost 2 or 3 lbs. Ha ha. My problem was I couldn't eat that few calories without voracious hunger and the more I exercised the hungrier I got. So when I switched what I was eating rather than focused on calories I lost 13 lbs. Now honestly I probably don't need to lose any more. My doc said I'm fine and there's no evidence that lower weight will help - just stay in the normal BMI and don't gain weight. I wanted to do it with my husband so he would lose some weight. And I just kind of want to be like my 30 year old self. OK so I admit it, I need therapy!
But I do hear they work well for others and I think its always a great idea to journal in some fashion what you eat. It helps you prioritize what you want to eat and I guess you could say it helped me understand it isn't the calories, its the quality of the calories.

15 minutes in the "nustep" sit down stepper machine. 6 min in the stationary bike, 40 revs in the leg curl machine, 3 min in the threadmill, 1 hr weight strengthening class. Light dinner. I'm feeling great!

ruthbru, yes I used to do loseit.com daily. Didn't lose much but at least it kept my eating, almost, in check. Need to get back on it. I have the fitbit but don't like their logging and it doesn't motivate me like loseit so will begin loseit again tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.
Only 30 mins on the treadmill but my eating today and yesterday was pretty good and I was down a pound. Seeing the scale go down is a great motivator so will try, no, will do, something every day. If I take one day off it morphs into another and another and another.
Night my sculpted friends.

I jogged for 45 min on Monday morning and ride my bike for 50 min this morning. I have made it to work on time so far but am cutting it very close...

Lots of up and down the stairs, in and out of the house to the garage and back, hauling of furniture, etc, etc getting ready for our garage sale on Thursday. Was miserably humid until late afternoon but has magically cleared to a beautiful evening. AC is off and windows are back open - YAY!!!

Sweet,
It WAS horribly humid, wasn't it? But the "magical" part for me was a huge storm that I had to drive through. Thankfully it didn't last long. The temp dropped 15 degrees in about 20 minutes.
Working all day today so will combine my salad for lunch with my "library workout." Better than nothing. Lots of squats. Lol.

Running clinic track workout last night - found out what a "ranger run" is. First we did 4 laps around the track at our normal pace. Then we ran in our pace groups in single file, and the person at the back of the line had to pass everyone and run to the front, posing a question like "what's your favorite color" or "what's the last book you read." The person who had been second to last was now last, and they had to run to the front of the line, shouting their answer. When they reached the front, then the person who was now at the back had to run to the front of line shouting their answer. You did that till everyone in your running group had run from the back to the front. Then it started all over again with a new question. Basically it seems like a way to begin some gentle interval work, since when you were the last person in line, you had to run faster to pass everyone else to get to the front of the line. Once we did 4 laps of the ranger run, we did 4 more normal laps. This is all in 85 degree weather, so I was completely covered in liquid awesome by the end of that one.
This clinic is sure pushing me to do more than I normally would do, so that's a good thing.
DH is still hasn't given birth to his bouncing baby kidney stone yet.

Nats, your running clinic ALMOST sounds like fun to me

Today I walked without the compression. It was more of a challenge but I will do it again tomorrow and know it will be better.

Eating pretty good today. Going to jump on the treadmill and stay on until Jeopardy is over.

Ugh someone come walk with me! Hate going alone. Haven't done anything for three days now.

bethq, I was walking with you but you just couldn't see me! Listen for the voices (and think about your health).
I'm not back to where I was in the far gone past but did do 30 mins on the treadmill - baby steps (again).
Night my sculpted friends.

Beth, I would love to be your walking buddy if you were closer

Patoo, wtg!!!
Love the Weds Walking Women photo.
Hit the gym after work today for 45 minutes of circuit training.
Night ladies.

Beth, we are all walking together!!!
I should get a million extra 'points' because not only did I clean the whole house, but I washed the windows as well.....which includes (but is not limited to) standing in the sink and dangling out over a bunch of rocks in order to clean the kitchen windows and balancing on the cat's perch and dangling out over bushes to do the bedroom windows.

it is much more fun to walk with others! I always had a walking buddy, but since moving to CA, it is just hubby and me!! And I certainly love walking with hubby, but you know, we girls just need girlfriends!! Oh, it will be fine!! I push my grandaughter's stroller 3 days a week, and I love it!!
Looking forward to walking with many of you next June!!

Beth how about listening to music while you walk? Or recruit a neighbor or friend to go with you ?
I did a very short dog walk tonight. It's almost too short to mention but I count it all.

Music might do the trick, great idea.

I always have on music when I walk or run. It really helps!
I jogged 45 min before school today and after school I swam 1/2 mile in the lake. Finished off with a yoga session. I am taking a no exercise day tomorrow to recover...
