    Welcome SummerSun!

    Happy Birthday Claire!

    Heida: aerial yoga sounds crazy.

    Mel: Cute puppy!

Hi All. My exercise today was helping dh remove a rug from one on the bedrooms. Tug, tug, pull, pull, drag, drag. The padding underneath had disintegrated in most places making It a gross and messy job. Then the wood floor had to be cleaned. Getting the room ready to paint.

    Happy Birthday, Claire.

I love my homemade mayo. I use light olive oil, egg, lemon juice and dry mustard. With such healthy ingredients, I don't feel bad about eating it.

I have actually become a morning exerciser. Up at 5:30 five days a week and at the gym by 6. Even in the sub zero temps we had this week. I feel so good starting off my day with exercise. I average 12,000-15,000 steps a day now.

I feel like we are living in a snow globe lately. We are in another snowstorm. We are already cancelled for tomorrow. We have not had school on a Monday since January 5th!

    Welcome SummerSun and Candi.

Congrats on the new puppy, LA Rock. How adorable!

    Happy birthday Claire!

No formal exercise yesterday but did manage to get my daily step goal just doing the necessary errands. Today was my rest day so I took it easy to try to kick this cold and finalized my summer vacation plans. Doing a combo Disney/cruise trip to celebrate my niece's graduation and am so excited. Can't wait for sunny and 85 degrees.

Welcome SummerSun and candi07.  Heidi I don't know what aerial yoga is but it sounds intense and you would love Grit, it's fast, it's crazy and I gush liquid awesome,  I know a lot of the coaches but I have found one who really pushes me - okay he's young and cute and all the girls are in love with him, he's young enough to be my grandson he's got a lovely wife but I just love him Loopy Ginger I watch a couple of shows on the weather channel and they keep preempting them for snow coverage, it sure looks beautiful.

I went to the gym and did Body Step this morning, but I had a real scare early this am, I am dog sitting and I was getting their breakfast ready and the little rat terrier who is usually first to eat wasn't there but I had seen him go out to go potty, well  found him flailing in the pool I got him out and toweled him off left him by the back door to go get another dry towel came back and he was in the pool again I think he may have had a stroke, he is bumping into furniture and was walking funny and he isn't aware of things I take him out put him on the grass and then when he comes in he just pees in the living room, I have towels down everywhere and my steamer is getting a workout. I contacted his owners who are on vacation in New Zealand and will take him to the vet in the morning hopefully they can give me an answer, I don't think he's in pain he's just confused, yesterday he was jumping around and okay and today it's all changed and I have them for two more weeks, it's going to be an adventure!

    Hi Finley!

Mayo sounds like a healthy thing! And aerial yoga probably is not the best for me. If I do it I'll stick to ground exercises and leave the flying and flips to DD.

My Sunday was lazier than planned. Today will hopefully be better. I have to walk to do errands as my bike is being serviced.

Smart decision HeidiHill. Happy Birthday Claire-have fun! Darling puppy FinleySillyHeartMary, thinking of you and so much to get done and inspired by your motivation.

Lingering chest cough that keeps me from running in icy wind so more time for studying about exercise than actual doing this past week and hubby and I celebrated 17 years of marriage this past weekend-it's all good.

Have a terrific start to the week everyone

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

Had the most wonderful time yesterday. First time my friends met my guy and Jon said later "he's a keeper". Anyway, all of us had a blast. All the food worked out too. The Chicken Paprikash just fit into my pot, so back to the hunt for a large Le Creuset stew pot. The only kind to have.

Nice to have a piece of cake left over as today is my actual birthday. One thing interesting was how differently the Jersey cream whipped than the regular store cream. The mayonnaise was perfect, as were the 3 salads.

Most wonderful birthday in years so far. More festivities to come! - Claire

Happy Birthday, Claire! Welcome Candi and SummerSun! And Happy Anniversary, LB! You've both been through it the last few years - how wonderful that you're both doing well and can celebrate so many years with each other! Hope that cough resolves soon.

And welcome to Finley too - what a face! I can almost smell that wonderful puppy breath from here. SillyHeartA co-worker has a 4 month old that looks a lot like Finley - she brought him to work last week to say hi. I'd been having a rotten day, but after 5 minutes of playing with her pup, I felt so much better.

Wonder - and the home improvement march goes on! Sounds like getting that rug out of there was a huge improvement just on its own. Cheryl - very scary about the little dog. Keep us posted - it does sound like a stroke, doesn't it.

Another busy weekend of decluttering - we took two more full carloads to the transfer station, and one very full carload to the thrift store. The thrift store accepts record albums, so DH and I bit the bullet and donated our entire record collection. We haven't had a turntable in years, so we might as well donate them and hope some audiophiles can enjoy them. But there's a lot of memories that went out with those boxes - early Beatles albums, the Woodstock album, Peter, Paul & Mary, Stevie Wonder, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Judy Collins, Allen Sherman comedy albums, West Side Story soundtrack, etc. Among DH's donations was his 45 rpm of "American Pie" - the song was so long that it wouldn't fit on a 45 - you had to flip it over half way through. Yep, we're old! Lugging boxes of albums is good upper body work. I think we've finally pretty much cleared out the stuff we want to get rid of, and we'll be ready to start packing soon. I hope so - I think our car is at the point where it can drive to the transfer station and thrift store all by itself!

Hello Finley! What a cuddly cutie!

Happy anniversary Lilacblue. After all that you and DH have been thru, I bet this one was extra special. Hope you get rid of that nagging cough soon.

Cheryl, scary moments with the little dog. Poor baby. Hope he stabilizes and improves.

    Went to bootcamp tonight.

    Happy Anniversary, Lilac.

LA, give Finley some kisses from me. What a sweetie!

Cheryl, I hope your doogie is doing better.

Mary, I am tired reading about all your sorting/packing activities!

I did yoga this morning & zumba tonight. There were a lot of new faces in the classes and, of course, the more the merrier!

I have my annual mammogram tomorrow so am all crazy nervous; which I put to good use by vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning the bathrooms and the kitchen. Since the appointment isn't until 3:00, I predict all the dusting will get done too. ShockedShockedShocked

Ruth: Sending good vibes to you for tomorrow. Have fun dusting.

Cheryl: Please keep us posted on the little dog. So scary.

Lilac: Happy Anniversary! Hope your cough improves.

    Claire: Happy Birthday Week!

    LA: Love Finley!

Mary: Doesn't it feel good to declutter? We have been doing it as we go through each room we are painting. It takes a lot of work but all worth it in the end.

Dh and painted another bedroom. Only thing left is cutting in the ceiling - doing that tomorrow. Getting lots of exercise cleaning, moving furniture, painting, etc.

Ruth sending good wishes for tomorrow and I made your chicken supreme for dinner tonight, it was delicious. Finley is beautiful, sweet puppy. LB congratulations to you and your DH you have really been through the wringer together so enjoy your celebration.

Didn't do any formal exercise today but it's hard being a seeing eye person for a little dog, I took him to the vet this morning, it's confirmed he's blind and we're waiting on test results but he has a slight fever so he's on antibiotics and drinking copious amounts of water therefor I am having to walk him every hour or so to avoid 'accidents',

Edited to add: shortly after writing this I was sitting with him on my lap and all of a sudden it got warm, very warm ooops guess I spoke too soon, he got me good and the chair cushion is now drying in the shower.

I've been off this thread a few days. Jazzygirl thanks for the advice regarding rads and working and exercise. I'm back as of yesterday and will need to figure out some new routines once rads start. I'm thinking if I can't get a big chunk of time in that 10 minutes here and there will still be good. I know my dog will appreciate whatever she can get. :)

Hi, Cheryl!! Are you coming in to Torrance any time soon? I know I am so unreliable when it comes to meeting, and I apologize for that!! Hey, but. If you were coming. In I would at least. Give you a hug.😄😄😄

Ruth, let us know how your mammogram goes, and I would love your chicken supreme recipe!!!!

Ruth, sending good vibes to you for your mammogram.

Cheryl, hope everything settles down with the poor fellow.

Early kettlebell class this morning. I received some good news this morning. I was appealing a denial from my insurance (TRICARE) for my NSM and reconstruction. It has been a long 6 1/2 months of letters, studies, calls etc. I received word that they will allow all coverage and changing their policy forward. Victory!!

What an adorable puppy! And happy celebrations! Did an hour and a half of floor mopping on Sunday morning after Brewfest, 20 minutes of yoga last night and hoping for some Pilates tonight. Signed up for rowing class tomorrow night so that will be an hour and a half hard work!

    Keep it up ladies!

Well, I survived the mammo. It's not official until the radiologist reads it, but the technician didn't see any areas of concern. Whew! I don't know what possessed me to agree to an appointment so late in the day, but I sure did get a lot done before then: shoveled some snow (although I hardly dare say 'shoveled' to the East Coast ladies as it was only about 2 inches), went to my Cardio Sculpt class, washed clothes, dusted, got cat food, and still I had a couple hours to kill, so I engaged in some' retail therapy' (yikes, you can spend a lot of money in two hours!). I will go to yoga tonight.

    As requested:

    Chicken Supreme

    6 boneless chicken breasts

    6 slices Swiss cheese

    1 can cream chicken soup

1 box chicken-flavored Stove Top dressing mix

    1 stick melted margarine

put chicken in 9 x 12 baking dish

put slice of cheese over each breast

mix soup & 1/2 can water, pour over chicken

mix stuffing & butter, sprinkle over top

Bake covered at 325 for 1 hour, uncover & bake another half hour....yummy!
