    Yea, Cassie!!!!

Did zumba & yoga tonight. Our zumba teacher had been raving about the great new warm up routine she was going to introduce tonight 'the most awesome ever'; so we were all excited, and when the song started it was 'The Chicken Dance' (I don't know if people not from the Midwest know this song, but it is a polka type song done in groups at wedding dances)....so we start out the first move thinking 'WHAT?'.....and for the second move she says, "Fly around the room like a chicken'.... so we do, and she collapses in laughter and says, "April Fools!"Loopy

Ruth... hilarious!!  I grew up in SD and can't remember ever being introduced to The Chicken Dance there. In WI, we do the Chicken Dance at baseball games.

A bit windy today but warm so took a nice 30 min walk this afternoon.  It was 75 degrees when I left work!

OK, now I have the Chicken Dance song stuck in my head! Headphones It's a baseball standard around here too, especially at minor league games.

Half hour dawn run this morning. Daffodils are starting to bloom - hooray!

Now get the visual of a bunch of ladies flapping their arms and 'flying' around a mirrored room......Loopy

Off to my Cardio Sculpt, and then I HAVE to clean my house....or burn it down......

Since we have had lots of snow melting, I have been walking down to Dunkin' Donuts much more. Even walked over and back on Saturday from the exec. board meeting for my neighborhood association.

4/2- back from my trip to the west coast late Monday. You ladies will be proud of me with getting to the gym twice with my sister while I was visiting and I did some weights and swimming, plus we did tons of walking and I was averaging 14-15K a day with my steps on my Vivofit. That helped to defray some of the good food I ate while I was out there! If any of you in Cali go to 24 hour Fitness, I have to say I am envious as that gym was awesome!

Today I got back to my gym for a solid hour of resistance training and will be doing a neighborhood walk tonight. Tomorrow, I am going to get on my bike and get back into my outdoor biking!

Pages and pages behind (again!).  Not very active lately but did get in a 30 minute moderate walk after work.  Two tiny runs somewhere in the middle.

Our football and basketball playing godson is also on the high school baseball team. Their opening home game was supposed to be tonight. The temperature is 37 degrees and the wind is gusting to 37 miles per hour, so thank goodness, the game was cancelled and I went to zumba instead (which was very fun even without the chicken dance Happy).

Love the Chicken Dance story Ruth!

Dropped off the car for a morning oil change & walked the long way home.  Pretty day, felt good to move.

Must finish some reading for a teleconference tomorrow.  G'night all. ♥

Jazzygirl, I enjoyed your photos. I grew up in Orange County. Glad you has a good visit!

I walked about 1.5 miles today with my dog. Thought I might do another walk, but the day got away from me. I did hit 6000 steps though, so that's good (that is my current minimum goal).

Half hour of yin yoga this morning - still trying to stretch out a balky quad, but it's getting better. Off to the cabin this weekend to rest up for Opening Day on Monday!

Ruth great visual on the chicken dance, congrats Cassie, Jazzy I belong to 24 Hour Fitness, I have a Super Sport membership which means I can go to any of their gyms except an Ultra Sport and rest assured I take full advantage of it and travel all over the place for my classes and some days I even go to two different locations and I also belong to the Y. Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter, now I need to go find me some Hot Cross Buns.

No classes at the YMCA today; so 8 of us from my various classes got together & did a 47 minute Cardio Dance routine in the Fitness On Demand room. When I tell you it was entitled 'Hip Hop '90s', you can rightfully assume that it was chosen by someone younger than me! Loopy It was good though, my fitbit says I've burned off 7,000 steps already today.

Ruth, that sounds hilarious and fun. :)

Walked with the whole family today for almost two miles. It's very sunny and warm here today, and it was nice to get out and walk.

Oh, hot cross buns. Cheryl you reminded me how much I love those. Might have to search for some myself. I'm the only one in my family who likes them, so I end up eating the whole package!

I only walked 15 minutes today with my son and dog. It has turned cold again, 45 and a cold wind, so I'm glad I did a little rather than none. One day its 40, one day 70. Spring in the midwest!

15-min fast walk to fetch my car this morning.  Worked til 6 then watched the news and had supper.  Now sipping a cup of decaf Earl Grey.  Will go walk a bit when it's done as haven't put in my self-prescribed 30-minute minimum yet today.  Hope everyone enjoys whatever Spring celebration you observe. ♥

Hi all. Welcome newbies. Haven't heard on the appraisal yet but don't expect a problem with it. Inspection came in today with no surprises and have electrician and another contractor scheduled in next 2 weeks to take care of what I can't do myself so it's going well. Still finding all that stuff Nats hid and having to box it up. Expecting may be homeless by end of month!

Looking forward to this all being behind me and then able to get back to regular exercise.

    Night sculpted friends.

Patoo: Sounds like things are moving along smoothly except for finding things that Nats hid. I think she hid some things here also. Smile

Hi All! Had a warm day so got the mower out of the garage and push mowed for over 2 and a half hours (1st mow of the year). I was hot and sweaty from mowing so I used it to my advantage and walked/ran at the park. I love watching the trees start to wake up from the winter. Won't be long before they're all blooming.

Freestyle step and body balance yesterday. Not sure what I'll be able to fit in today. Rain and wind have kept me from running.

    Happy Easter!
