lover, no smiling during the butterfly..haha...that's her breath. I can actually see the pain on her face. Kinda of a gritting mouth breath :). She was a great flyer.

Haven't seen Ben, they're being very protective and no visitors for the first 2 mos!

Hi Sensi, hope tomorrow and the rest of the week is easy for you. Maybe next week we can do lunch.

Shep, how's it going? Did FF find the frying pan? Hope he's pitching in.

Smarty- she is such a lovely child. Hope you can see Ben soon when the parents are ready. Taking the germ/immune system thing very seriously!

But that is okay too. Coming from the woman who has a cold right now...

  • HI! I wanted to stop by this wonderful, supportive community to tell you about a thread I started over in Our Furry Friends, "Dogs, dogs, dogs!" People post pictures of their dogs and tell stories. Here's my little guy, Fletcher, sitting on top of me in Central Park!

I had papillary cancer last year, and recently was diagnosed with lobular carcinoma in situ in the other breast, and had a lumpectomy. So far so good!

Junie, sorry about the cousin. Heroin is getting to be such a bad thing. Tragic.

Loverly, derm appoint----spot on nose frozen. Donnie's out of the dog house and back in the hen house. DH Greg would yell sooo much at his brothers football games, people would move away from him. Me too. The dentist appointment was not so good. UGH I hate cleanings.

Tulip, Yay sx. Please read the Toradol, block and opioids thread. May help to prevent recurrence.

    Wenchi, Breathing?

Smarrty, Evie's darling Such a pretty girl.

    Hello to all and lurkers.

  • hey ladies. All is well here. Still NO back pain. It's amazing !!!! Migraines are getting. Better. Have increased synthroid twice so hopefully getting it back in range. I've spent more time alert and awake with dss in the last month or so then probably in the last 6 months. I am glad I didn't give up and quit when I really really wanted to so many times. Never ever thought it would get better, only expected worse. The fair is Thursday and I a! Going with family !!!!? Haven't been in 3 years. Not riding any rides but a! Excited just to see how happy they are. Actually see it and not just pics !!! ?

Lovely. Hows back to school going ? We are finally back in the routine

Chevy. You out there ???? Sending much love

Susan. Hi. Hoping you enjoyed babysitting.

Sas. Ugh I hate the dentist too. I get laughing gas for everything. Just sit back and relax. Dentist has a TV screen on ceiling above chair.

Smarty. Yea. 1 1\2 weeks with Evie. She will go back home spoiled , I bet

    Kathi -. Waving hi

Wild tulip. Surgery preplanning. Looks like you got it under control. Sounds like me. I love everything planned and on paper. Control freak I admit sure. Trying g to work on this

    Hugs to all I missed

    Hootie hoo

  • Fabulous News Patty. Thank God!

  • It's Wacky Wednesday! image

  • WildT and Patty, DD2 is 13 and is in 8th grade. They are the first lucky class in middle school who are doing the Common Core Math. Gosh, I can't even help her. Her Bridge teacher, who is better at language art, does not even know how to teach them this new way of doing math. It seems as hard as Calculus. They have to work backward and learn how to solve the problems themselves first before the teacher goes over the problems. She can't wait until next term to get her math teacher.

Susan, I thought about feeding Mitzy raw food Thank you though for the suggestion. I think she has environmental allergies. Saw her licking her paws the other day. It is quite windy here and she is scratching more. Can't imagine what she would be like if we kept her outdoors. Still lookingfor the pic of DD2 smiling while swimming breast stroke. Not sure where I saw it last. We have a few cameras. I really want to be a minimalist even more now. Ugh!

Ms. Sas, I get all tensed up every time I go to the dentist even just for cleaning.

Yay for time with Evie. We should do lunch before your trip to Down Under

    Hello Ladies,

Just making a quick pit stop. Did some apartment cleaning today and I am completely out of steam.

Sas - I didn't know the cousin that died, but my sister had mentioned him. The only reason I mentioned the news about his being addicted, was that he had had a medical issue to begin with and then became addicted. So it made my mind go around and around about the potential we all could have for becoming addicted to the opiates. I have been using them for many years already and am only using 2-3 pills per day along with the anti-inflammatory. I guess I just worry too much.

    Sheppie - I hope you're doing well!

Jazzy - How's the cold? Any better?

Catch you all later. I need a nap.

  • Where is me manner? Welcome,Cuddly!

Jazzy, hope you are feeling better.

I guess JunieB is still napping. Take it easy and don't wear yourself out, young lady.

ShepK, thinking about you and really hope this surgery "fixes" you. Do you need for me to add WD40 to the gift basket?

jazz bug, I worried about the same thing. Talked to my PC about it. She rolled her eyes when I said I take 2 a day. Ha, guess we are ok. She also said, being in a stage 4 position....it's ok . She did say, bad sweating and forgot other stuff, is a sign of addiction......maybe memory loss...lol.

Gong to,play with Elena today. Don't I have a fun life

    How's post surgery going??

Hi friends- doing better. The bug has pushed through, seems like like a cold than a 48 or so hour bug. Went to work yesterday and getting ready to do the same again. Thank you for asking!

    Wishing everyone a good day!

Ughhhh! Feel like I need to borrow the frying pan. Last night my FIL called and all but demanded that my DH come fix his computer this weekend! We were just there a week ago for a birthday party for DH's great niece!!!! Hubby said his father will just have to wait, we need time for ourselves and to do things around here.

  • Umm.....HELLO hello hello hello

    image

I can hear my own echo and the ringing in my ears. Off to shower..

  • Mommy, good for DH for setting boundaries.

    Jazzy, nice looking horse!

Eeyore, are you still in Hawaii? Which island? We are going to the Big Island this December.

Susan, what do you mean you don't have a fun life? I thought Elena keeps you busy.

JunieB, have you woken up from your nap?

I did a Humpty Dumpty on Monday when I walked downstairs. Those darn last three steps take turns tripping me. Carpet can be slippery at the bullnose edge. Landed on my left bum. Made a such loud thump I woke up DD2. DH still slept like a log which was good. Good thing I didn't fall face down and land on the implants. Those saline bags would have gone kabush! Thank God also I didn't land on my right arthritic hip. Sweet Mitzy immediately hovered over me trying to lick me. Probably was wondering what I was doing on the floor so early in the morning.

Sitting here trying to see what I want to tackle first. Got a ton of homework to do for the week because something glitched earlier this week when the professor set it up to display on the site where we get the assignments. Think I'll tackle the reading first before I move on to cutting the last part of a craft project I am working o

  • Morning ladies, I am pages and days behind. I will have to catch up later but wanted to say hi. Love and hugs all around!!

    lover..hope your bum feels better

  • loverly. I hear ya about common core math. It is so confusing. Both dss have it. Ds1 started two years ago in 6th grade. Lots of parent complaints and teacher is no help. All foreign to her as well. We spend a lot of time at home on the Carnegie site. Thank God for Google. Not sure we would figure it out without Google. What happened to regular math?

Susan. Enjoy your time with Elena. They grow up so quickly.

We had an awesome time at the fair last night. Stayed 4 hours. A lot of walking. I had a minor back ache when we got home. I took my pain meds and promptly fell asleep. Pretty stiff today but def not the pain I had.

    Hugs to all

  • Susan, I think you added the "I". It was not there when I read it last night. Yeah, and I didn't hit my head when I fell either. Mom might have dropped me on my head when I was younger, but I could have....never mind. I should not swear. I blame it on my eyes then. Maybe I need reading glassesNerdy Thanks for pointing that out. That makes sense now. Your signature line is " Live and love fully". I should know better. Haha

Patty, will have DD2 check out the web sight. Thanks for mentioning it. We are so behind in math here in the States compared to other countries. Maybe they are trying to catch up our kids. If we lived in Singapore, DD1 would not be able to get in Singapore U (and the kid graduated with honors). Our honors here are their "normal" kids there. It's crazy competitive there. All I hope for my kids are for them to find a job after college and love the Lord with all their hearts and serve others. I'm happy to hear you had a great time with the boys. I bet the pain you had afterwards was worth it right?
