Susan I have a couple of unfinished quilts that I need to work on, I am not happy about the colours I picked out. They are not my style, but I think my daughter will like them. I am a green and blue person and one of the quilts is fiesta colours.

    Shep love the kitty.

Lookie - Those blankets are neat! I love how the borders look like classic tatted (?) lace. The owls and teddies are so cute and look like they would be fun for little fingers to play with :)

Susan - Knitting in bed! Always so busy! Hope you are feeling okay <3

M0mmy - Hubby is so "strict"! Lucky girl :)

WildT - Mission accomplished! I have an appointment to get the thumb shot on the 6th. Now if only I could get a couple shots for FFH. Hateses him :(

Need to look at more baby kitty pics.....while sitting in the liquor aisle of the store!

Stopping by to catch up on posts I have missed.

So enjoy the graphics and pics everyone shares.

Starting my first sleep study to see if they can find anything that may help other than Ambien. Looking forward to my sleep over at the clinic.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and restful night of sleep. . .

Loverly - The injection will be fine. Your doctor should numb the spot with a numbing spray, then inject a combo of a numbing agent & steroid. My injection didn't do all that much for me. The Rheumatologist said she'd used a low dose of the steroid though.

ShepK - Glad to see you posting again. Don't feel bad about not getting the saying on the "Hump-free" pic. I didn't get the one someone posted that said "Can you see Friday yet?" "No there's a dang camel in the way" DUH! We all have our moments.

Susan - Elena is adorable in her sweater. Hope your get rested up from your chemo.

I am knitting the 4th crib blanket in the same pattern and I'm tired of it. Last Sunday I did a swatch to figure out the guage for a didderent pattern. Really looking forward to starting that once I finish this one.

Lookie - Cool pics of the blankets. I can't crochet though.

Eyes are droopy, so I'll just call it a night and bid you all a restful night.

I didn't know you could freeze cake. Cool

I am back in the hospital. Got here yesterday. Treating me for sepsis, again. Spent like 12 hours in the er waiting on a bed in icu. They finally got me stable enough to move me to a regular room. Feeling drastically better already. Amazing what fluids and antibiotics csn do. Oh yeah and the pain pump.

    Hugs to all

PattyP - So sorry to hear you're back in the hospital, but glad the antibiotics, fluids and pain pump making you feel better.

Susan - Chocolate Cake! Yummy! Last year at Halloween, I baked cupcakes for my MO's office, and now its nearly a year later. So, time to do it again. Just trying to decide what flavors to make this time. I have a delicious mocha chocolate cupcake that I put a peanut butter frosting on, then and apple & Spice one w/ cream cheese frosting, then maybe a pumpkin cheesecake or just a pumpkin cupcake. I need to go through my recipies.

I hope your feeling okay today.

Susan after chemo you deserve chocolate cake.

Patty sorry to hear you are in the hospital, hope you get home soon.

Junie how generous to make cupcakes for your MO's staff, they all sound good

Shep, Good girl making your thumb shot appointment! Just breath through it and it will be over before you know it.

Susan, I craved sweets with chemo too, and potatoes and grilled cheese..basically carbs. Do you have the metallic taste?

Patty, Sorry about the hospital stay. I hope you are on the mend!

Junie, Mmmm...pumpkin cheesecake. That sounds so good!

This morning I got my monthly Zolodex shot, and then a fill in my TE's. After that I went to the dentist for a small filling and lastly to the chiropractor. All four appointments, plus three errands in under six hours! I think this will be my last fill in my TE's..so hard to decide. I'll live with it a few weeks before making up my mind. My exchange isn't until Dec, so I'm not in a rush at this point.

Hi to everyone..I hope you all have a good weekend.

Patty, sorry you are back in hospital. Hope you are feeling better.

Wildtulip, yeah potatoes too. I even eat them raw . Other chemos I would lose a few pounds over the 4 down days. Not this one. If I'm am not sleeping I am craving something .

Got rain here too. Lots over the last few days. Don't mind being in bed on rainy days. And I love the smell of rain

WildT - The pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes have a carmel/pecan topping, plus a squirt of whipped cream. I wish I could share with you all.

You got all of that done in 6 hours? Good going! You must be pooped though.

Susan - I hope you're getting lots of rest and having minimal pain. On the days after your treatment, do you feel up to knitting? or mostly sleeping?

Jazzy - Hope you're having a great time in NYC!

PattyP - Hope your feeling better today.

Sheppie - Good for you on getting your thumb injection appt. You can do it! You've lived with your spine for so long that the injection will be like a little bee sting. You're tough.

Lookie - I'm not sure that my making cupcakes is being so generous, as much as a chance to share. I don't get to cook or bake for others very often and the staff in the doctor's office are always working under a lot of pressure taking care of the needs of all the patients they serve, so I guess one time a year of baking something to say thanks is a small thing.

    Guess that's all for now.

Patty- so sorry to hear you are in the hospital. Those IV anti B's will really kick your sepsis. Praying you are home soon and rest comfortably.

JazzyJune- one more week to NYC, leaving on the 9th. Been packing tonight and think I have a lot done! Getting really excited now, but work is going to be a bear right up until the time I go.

Are you feeling better? How is the hip situation?

ShepKitty- you had some surgery recently and wondering how you are doing?

Sensitive Heart is doing chemo and wondering how she is doing?

Mommy- I am hoping your are feeling better each and every day after the loss of your uncle. We just never know how we are gong to feel when these things happen. Please take good care of yourself.

I had some friends over last weekend and one of the friends has been in a long and difficult eldercare situation for awhile. On monday, her mom went to the hospital and the doctors said she was in organ failure and would not make it through the night. My friends mom did pass last night, and my friend is having to clean out her apt tomorrow and do an estate sale and a couple of us are going to help with that. All happening so fast and she is a single chic like me, but also has no siblings to help so super difficult. Going to go be a sister to her tomorrow, then later get a massage. Gonna need that.

Jazzy - Your friend is a lucky woman to have a friend like you to help her in this sad time. I hope you enjoy your massage afterwards.

Hip is behaving. I am wearing the brace. Avoiding further surgery and the puppy are both great motivators.

Thanks Jazzy, I am getting better with getting over his loss. Had to go to a wake for a neighbor's relative who died this week. Praying that I don't come down with a cold until after my appointment with my MO this week.

Good morning, afternoon, and evening (in Ireland)!

ShepK, good girl for making the appointment to have your thump straighten out. How is recovery? Making progress?

I have not had trigger fingers. Sounds painful. You ladies who had/have it, could you describe to me the experience?

WildT, how are your feet after rest (if you get any) on the weekends? I found this article for you and hope that its helpful. The article mentioned the Tens unit. Wonder if that will work for you. If you don't want to non-pharmalogical approach, it might worth a try. Hopefully, it's covered by your insurance. I hope that you fall into the percentage of folks whose side effects minimized after several months on AI.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC21401...

I wish one day we have medicines without unbearable side effects for all diseases. It's so sad that that so many have to endure decrease in quality of life.

JunieB, that pumpkin cheese cake sounds yummy. Will probably try making it when DD comes home for Thanksgiving. DH and DD2 love pumpkin pie. DD and I like cheesecake. We can have fusion dessertWinking So sweet of you to do that for your MO's people.

Susan, hope your body aches is gone by now. I am not sure if it's sympathetic pain or what, but I have been aching all over the last few days. Feels like pin and needles in my bones. Last night was the worse. Pain is not as bad as the flu though. Maybe I am having a taste of the side effects of WildT's Zoladex shot (sympathetic pain. Hah! Nah, it must be the changes in the barometric pressure. We are supposed to get rain this Sunday. I love your keep on moving attitude. It reminds me to pry myself off the couch and get going.

Jazzy, you're such a great friend! I cleaned most of my garage and some cupboards a few days ago. I told myself (and DH) not to accumulate so much stuffs afterwards. Not fair to the kids if something happens to us. Not easy to let go, but somehow I feel a bit liberated. You know, we really don't need thatmany items to survive. I gave away at least 7-8 bags of things. Still have more. I don't know why, but it is hard for me to give books away.

Forward, I forgot to ask you how did you know I have brown liquid in the back of my fridge? I forgot the 4 bottles of Kambucha tea my Sis got me ;(

Got my mammo and dental appointment out of the way yesterday. I always worry that the tech put too much pressure and pop the implant on my native sideShocked Thank God I didn't come out looking like this:image

Sitting in my kitchen snacking on Non GMO Project-verified gluten free USDA organic chips and habeñero salsa. That should do something to keep the rogue cells away. I think I will go and take a nap.
