Just heard there was something of a lockdown going on by the Capitol police. It was thought some possible gunfire. Haven't heard anything since, but the Loon is due to be there tomorrow afternoon in court to plead on his latest indictment.
I would not doubt there may be someone trying to muddy things up a bit. Many of the people on the right have gotten spoon fed shadings and outright lies so long they wouldn't know the truth if it swallowed them whole. That is a shame. Most of the people who should READ the whole indictment won't. OTOH, while many are trying to soften the blow as much as they can and will continue to do it, I'm of the opinion that just as many know it is likely to be disastrous to continue to sign on with the Loon and will not show up for him.
In the end, I really do think Jack Smith is smart enough to take the Loon down. There is just the worry left about what may happen until a number of those on the right really start to let it sink in properly so they will at least quit trying to keep the Cheeto Loon propped up. A decent small start to try and save any shred left of a once decent party.

ruth, I happened to see a clip on the news last night of Pence saying this. It surprised me, but then again, Pence wants to be Prez. After all his ass kissing of Trump, he finally call him out on something.

Hell would have to freeze over for me to consider voting for Pence. That old adage about when someone tells you who they are, believe them applies to him. His view of women and their rights being subjugated to men outweigh anything he says about the loon. He would continue to support anti-abortion views, downplay equal opportunities for women, etc. and I really think his wife would be running the country like she controls him. If my husband called me "mother" he'd be sporting a black eye. I am a mother of 2 but not him. It has been a journey to make him realize I am his equal but he has finally conceded, lol.

Agreed. Pence is scum. He’s the epitome of entitled privileged Christian white dominating heterosexual patriarchal male. The way he s- - - - - Don’s appendage all those years and then almost paid for it with his life and he thinks he’s fit for prez himself? Hell could freeze over and I still wouldn’t vote for him. Not that I believe in hell……

No, I would never ever vote for Pence either (unless Trump was the only alternative, write-ins were not allowed, and you would be executed if you didn't choose one of the above). I do think it illustrates how far down the rabbit hole the right wing is when they have someone who actually represents what they claim are their 'values,' and they still follow someone who has broken every single one of their commandments (Trump's handling of the Covid crisis helped him to break the 'thou shall not kill' rule…….which is the only commandment he had not yet directly violated).

I'm right with you ladies Pence, in many ways has been very much of a loser like the very person he stuck by for so long. Only stepping away now because he is on a narrow line, and it is the only way he has to differentiate himself although it will not work.
Pence was going to re-run for Governor of Indiana again and it was petty evident that he was not re-wanted in that role. Not sure but I think the Federalist Society put him forward to Jared and Ivanka and others close-by back then. The Loon said he didn't want him but took him anyway because he was as un-schooled then in what he was doing as he has been to this day. So he took on a loser, un-wanted and it set up the ass-kissing thankfulness that went on even after Pence's life was threatened.
Perhaps under your conditions Ruth, I too might vote for Pence, but I would hate it venomously and likely cry every time I let myself think that I had to do.

Think his political future is circling the drain as they say. Perhaps he should just be content to sit home with "Mother" and leave politics behind. His track record as former governor and as former VP are nothing to write home about, but I am sure he will have a book deal if he doesn't already have one. Give it 6 months at B&N and it will be on the deep discount tables.
