Hmmm, so you finally get it about the orange home fry. Sure took a while to sink in. I am glad you finally spoke out.
Truth is — Pence says he and Trump have major differences of opinion. Anyone allowing me to be killed by rioters on his behalf in an insurrection I would have some pretty big damn differences with, but okay — you finally did do the right thing. I'm trying to be kind here but it is not easy. You kissed up to this guy for over four yrs. ya know.

Ah, a little thing about double standards and whom are allowed them.

Looks about right even though I don't see an ankle bracelet.

I don't think I ever thought (cared much at all) about F. Willis and the boyfriend. It seemed to me beforehand that she had quite a case, was very talented in her job, knew what the parameters were and so likely would not go to such an extent on any thing that it would jeopardize any case — no matter which one.
I did read somewhere that she had made a statement at one time that she would not be involved (romantically) with anyone she was working with and that did turn out to not be the case. I agree that it didn't look well, but at the same time she really did keep her ethics intact. I'm sure the other side since they don't have a good or even real answer for the events Trump immersed himself in worked overtime to try and drum up something. That is what I would do and frankly it seemed like they got close.
I would imagine she has learned a valuable lesson, but for the most part she is anything but a disappointment to me. I wish the investigation and hearing didn't have to take place, but mainly since it stole time from getting the Loon's dish full of his just desserts.
I really hope we can get on with all of it now. I'm impatient to the max.

The a**hole who called the Delta pilot a stewardess should have done his homework prior to this meeting. Not so sure I would have been as nice as she was.
I have met my share of condescending men in power (male physicians in my case) and can honestly say that sometimes I was kind and nicely corrected them if I felt their ignorance was just that. Then there are the "superior" men who consider women as lesser mortals doing their best to denigrate women and I just loved correcting them in a not so nice way. I always made sure to smile as I delivered my message.
It is easy sometimes to turn the tables on them such as when I had a physician ask me if I was "capable" of making a phone call to get something done and I told him "no, I wasn't", he would have to do it and promptly hanging up on him. I went to lunch and left him to stew over that conundrum. So my tolerance level for gender based insults is low.

Friend do it this way--that is, whatever you do in life,
do the very best you can with both your heart and mind.
And if you do it that way, the Power Of The Universe
will come to your assistance, if your heart and mind are in unity.
When one sits in the Hoop Of The People,
one must be responsible because
All of Creation is related.
And the hurt of one is the hurt of all.
And the honor of one is the honor of all.
And whatever we do affects everything in the Universe.
If you do it that way--that is, if you
truly join your heart and mind as One--
whatever you ask for, that's the way it's going to be.

I've always tried to have positive thoughts/feelings about this youngster. Now rapidly a young man. I have nothing but disgust for the parents for sure. I also not that the Loon's other children seem 'troubled' through their upbringing for sure. One can hope but a life of luxury and 'specialness' usually seems to bring out traits that are less than respected by the world at large.
Also aware although its long in the future, he will have the Trump dementia gene present. What a thing to get to think about.

Having said the above about genes — the Loon had the same thing from his father. In my mind though I would say the Loon is such a narcissist that he never seemed to have considered worrying about genes and what might befall him. Could happen to anyone but seems easier when the gene is 'there'.
Since I do think the Loon would never even entertain such possibility, I do think he is pretty much oblivious to how bad he comes off now. I also think the media should be close to having to own up. The Loon is going to be one way or the other in the spotlight. He uses his trial appearances for small rallies and he will be apt to let fly anything. It is going to be interesting.

The Delta pilot debacle is many layered. Not only did she state multiple times during her introduction speech that she was a pilot, that he seemed to have totally ignored, the industry hasn't used the term 'stewardess' in ages. They've been called 'flight attendants' for decades now.

The news that Pence won’t endorse his former running mate hasn’t made so much of a headline! No one seems to care, apparently. The media must declare him to be a person who does not get clicks, so they don’t bother to report on him. I just caught one quick news segment about it on ABC.
I think of how close Pence literally came to being killed, hung even, during the Jan 6th insurrection and it boggles my mind that it’s taken this long for him to stop his ass kissing of Trump. I mean, that’s all he ever did. He thought it was going to get him somewhere and all it did was almost get him killed. With Donald to blame. Do you think Pence has ever woken up in a cold sweat and had some kind of epiphany about how close to death he came, how Trump would have had no trouble sacrificing his life?I did hear that Pence said he wouldn’t vote for President Biden . I think he also said he wouldn’t vote for a third party. So that leaves, what? No one? Vote for no one? Geez, if only we could convince a lot of other Republicans to vote for no one!!

Exactly, miriandra! The man repeatedly did not even listen to the words coming out of the pilot’s mouth, did not register them in his pea brain, so apparently ingrained in his thought process that a woman is not worth listening to and that outdated gender-based assumptions about her can be made. These asshats really do seem to live in the 1950s in their mind.

Yup! I was hired by the late great Pan Am in 1977. We were most definitely flight attendants. That was over 40 years ago (yikes, I didn’t even realize that 😯). Yes, I am in this photo.

I had that same impression — that the Delta pilot said quite clearly what her job designation was and all one had to do was listen to her personal introduction. Nothing complicated — I guess unless you have already made up your mind that it is someone speaking who will never get or have credibility with you due to gender.
Exbrnxgrl, love the picture. I think the only time I recall the word stewardess used was back when I was in high school in the mid 60's.

I don't know anyone but the Reps. who can give the word oblivious such meaning. That and inflexibility. How to turn yourself into a blithering idiot in one easy lesson.

Love the flight attendant picture, Caryn! Which one are you?

Great photo, Caryn! Are you in the seated row in front wearing a hat?

Yes! That is indeed me. We had the very good fortune to be trained in Honolulu. This is our class graduation photo after six weeks of training. My practice flight was from Honolulu to Osaka, Japan. It was great fun and people were still behaving themselves in flight, for the most part.

I think he said this at his Ohio Rally which was actually to be about one of the Ohio candidates for office there. Of course, the Loon used it to rally mainly for himself and that was mainly his usual grievances.
Why am I not surprised that he is threatening mayhem if he is not elected. He lives and breathes it most of the time.

Jackie, what a sicko Trump is. He wants bloodshed. The horrific thing is some people would be okay with that and even relish something like that. It’s also horrific that those in power like Mitch McConnell and other would hear those words and still friggin’ endorse the lunatic. What the eff is wrong with our country!???
Caryn, your time as a stewardess sounds interesting. I love the nostalgia of the picture, all the women so properly dressed and posed for the photo, the men all suited up and handsome. I especially love that each woman personalized how she wore her scarf.

Loved the scarves, too and wonder if they had a class on how to tie them? Love scarves but am unable to be creative in how to wear them. Worked with a woman who always had some interesting ways to wear them and admired her skill.
I flew Pan Am when I took a trip to Miami and the Bahamas as a senior nursing student. I think I also belonged to the Pan Am club after that trip. We went in February. When we returned in summer wear and sandals to Philly we had to run from the plane to the terminal through snow. That is when the plane landed adjacent to the terminal and you used the stairs to descend from the plane. Brings back wonderful memory of that trip with a then BF and such an innocent time. Thanks for posting the photo, it is lovely.

The value of all service lies in the spirit in which you serve and
not in the importance or magnitude of the service. Even
the lowliest task or deed is made holy, joyous,
