I wish it would matter to more voters that Vance is pushing the double standard when talking about women who haven’t given birth, when no U.S. President ever has. He’s trying to appeal to the Christian Nationalist voters who are mothers to make them feel superior over women who aren’t. Because having babies is the only thing those Christian women are permitted to desire.
I agree, Caryn. We cannot underestimate Vance. I will say that I don’t think those running the Democratic campaign underestimate him.
