Theodore Roosevelt's Presidential Library will be 230 miles straight west of me, in the North Dakota Badlands, right by the entrance of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It opens this 4th of July weekend. I will definitely visit, but not this summer when I'm pretty sure it will be crawling with people & a madhouse as they work out all the kinks.
Here's a funny meme!

My favorite yoga teacher returned yesterday for the winter…she has a river cottage and sailboat so is gone from April - October…but from November through March we have her and she is the best. Monday's are back in style!
Voted early. We don't have classes today, but at my office writing reports, etc.
Will have lunch with my 90 y.o. mother and go to the gym after school as usual on a Tuesday for a 5:30 class.
Virginia has statewide elections this year, so for us it is a big election.
Vote everyone if you have ballot issues! TT

No voting here today (if there was, I would vote for sure!).
TT, my favorite yoga teacher moved away, but is now back (a relationship that didn't work out so well when it wasn't long distance). We, her students, are thrilled to be able to practice with her again!
I went to LIFT this morning & will do CORE at 4:30, before undoing all my goodness at a Benefit Pancake Supper. 🥞 😋

No elections here, either, but I vote every time. Haven’t missed an election since I was first eligible.
Was up early, not used to the time change yet I guess, so hit the gym. Used their fitness app for a pretty good workout. I prefer a human coach but it was OK.

Badger: You're a good co-worker to be willing to help out. I'm sure they appreciate you.
TT: Hope you had a fantastic lunch with your mom.
Ruth: Enjoy those pancakes.
Last night I met with Girl Scout leaders to present a PowerPoint about this year's cookie sale. I always admire their willingness to participate in the sale bc it's not as easy as it looks. Badger, you made the comment earlier that you would like to support the girls without actually buying a package (that's what they are called now). Our Council's service project supports 1st responders, the military, and food banks. You 'buy' a package, the girls get the credit, and the package is delivered to various organizations. I'm sure every Council has a service project.
Like TT, I also voted today. Only 3 things on the ballot but like ya'll, I always vote. Had a pilates zoom session with ds's partner. Afterwards I walked.

The Wednesday Walking Women (plus 2 who walked outside).

Wonderland, thanks for the info on how to support the GS without bringing cookies home. Great option!
Walked this afternoon. It’s going to get cold soon and I wanted to enjoy one of the last nice fall days. Snow maybe this weekend.

Ooooo Wonderland, I like that way of buying a package! Usually Thin Mints and Samoas come right in my front door!
Went to Tai Chi yesterday at lunchtime and will go at 5:30 tonight for another class…that makes four this week.
I go to Seattle for a work conference next week, Wed - Sun. Not much I can do about it, but the govt shutdown delays in airports are stacking up…making an unpleasant activity even more so.
Nice WWW picture, I'm sure your mornings are cold at this point Ruth. Happy Thursday everyone, TT

That's a wonderful idea to donate Girl Scout cookies......although I would have to buy some for myself too!
HIT this morning, a fun dog walk & I'm going back to Yoga tonight.
TT, I hope you can get to Seattle & back alright. What a mess!!

TT good luck with your flight. What a mess.
Hit the gym this afternoon. I have my first “free” coaching session next week.
Exercised my checkbook buying food for the Scouting for Food drive this Sat. Beans, rice, tuna, soup, spaghetti & sauce, mac & cheese, granola bars, salt & sugar. I’ve already sent my annual donation, which the pantry will use for perishable items like eggs.

Every time I go to the grocery store, or Walmart, I'm buying extra food for the local food pantry.

Ruth, I do the same but it’s for the little free pantry at our public library. It’s amazing how fast the items disappear. I’m there at least once a week and always bring something.
Got done with work at noon and took a walk. Glad I did. The sky was so blue! It’s raining now and the sky is gray.0 -
Beautiful picture, badger!
I went to mat pilates this morning & took a very brisk dog walk this afternoon. Maybe some snow tomorrow.

Gym this morning, made cherry pie for family meal tomorrow, then had a nap. Sipping a rare pm cup of coffee now. Going to a fundraiser for the fire dept tonight. I can’t stay up late anymore!

Yoga & two very brisk dog walks. We had a dusting of snow this morning, but thankfully it had melted by noon…..the clock is ticking towards winter here.

We also had our first dusting of snow. So pretty! Yes, I am one of those nuts who like winter. We’ll have a brief warm-up then the cold will settle in for the season.
Did usual family Sunday then came home and crashed. Evening event plus coffee meant I didn’t get to sleep until the wee hours. It was a fun night, though. Back to regular schedule tomorrow.

I took yesterday off too. I will go to Zumba this morning & HIT tonight. This week I will cut back the perennials which are now thoroughly frozen & don't look nice anymore (they lasted longer than they usually do, so I can't complain.)

Beautiful maple tree.
Got to the gym last night for strength and core, but that is the last I will see of the gym until next week. Fly to Seattle Wednesday for a conference, so my exercise will be walking, walking walking!

Hope your flights go okay, TT!

Good luck with flightsTT!
My BIL borrowed my car today while his was in the shop. Hubby was at his usual Monday card game with his buddies so I had to resort to the dreadmill while watching the noon news.

TT: Safe travels!
Badger: Beautiful colors. Yesterday and today have been windy and most of the leaves on our chestnut fell.
Ruth: Glad you were able to enjoy your perennials a little bit longer this year.
Dh had the cataract in his other eye removed last Wednesday. All went well and he's seeing much better, especially since both eyes now have had surgery.
DD's friends hosted a baby shower for her on Saturday. She received so much! It was such a nice shower with about 40 people present. Lots of kids were there also which made it feel homey. Her co-workers are hosting a shower for her this Friday at lunchtime. She's very conscious about people spending their money and she hopes this is just a party to celebrate her baby as she was given so much at Saturday's shower.
Ds and granddaughter came for the shower and spent the weekend with us! She's a happy baby and so full of life. Had a blast just following her around the house and yard. We made a big pile of leaves for her to play in. Next time they come I will need to baby proof the house better. She's very curious and likes to pull off and examine things on tables. One year olds are very active!
I pulled something in my shoulder and have not been very active. Luckily heat and Advil have been working and the pain is easing. We did go for a stroll with the baby today. It was cold and windy so only strolled for half a mile.

Wonderland, glad DH's surgery went well! Sounds like you had a fun Baby Weekend! Both with the future baby & the already here baby. You are in for some busy, fun times!!
LIFT this morning, a long dog walk in the afternoon & Core tonight. The bad weather missed us, so we feel very lucky!

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women. Only 2 people went outside. The guy in the photo is the manager of our fitness center & SIL of one of our walkers. (The red, white & blue theme is for Veterans Day.)

HIT this morning & a lovely dog walk.

Great pictures, even with the "stick city" that winter brings.
I'm walking, walking, walking. Flew to Seattle yesterday, even with all the sitting on the planes, still got 11,000 steps as the airports are huge.
I was up this morning at 4am/7am eastern…will probably not get fully adjusted to the time zone before flying back on Sunday…now just have to get my mother not to call at 4:30a./7:30am eastern like she did this morning! 😂

I always enjoy your pics, Ruth!
Wonderland, fun with family! You are blessed. Glad DH eyesight and your shoulder are better.
TT, my family is spread out across the country. Mom couldn’t remember time zones so called at noon just to be safe.
Coach session at gym was awesome. Another next week.

Another gorgeous day here. I went to mat pilates & we took a very fun dog walk the golf course (which is closed for the season).
Time changes are tough! Especially that many hours! Hope your mom didn't call you again this morning, TT!

Nice here, too. Maybe 60 tomorrow! Walked after work. Too nice not to. 🌞

Beautiful day here! Went to Farm & Fleet and bought bulbs - tulips and daffodils - half price. Going to go dig in the dirt (garden & sculpt).

Yoga & a much cooler walk than yesterday . I am also doing some yardwork while DH puts up the Christmas lights (which we won't light until after Thanksgiving, but a good thing to get done before the weather turns).
