Yes, cleaning counts as exercise, sadly.

I went to a lifting class this morning, dog walked in the afternoon, & Dance2fit tonight. I wasn't in a cooking mood, so we had scrambled eggs for supper.

Got to the gym at lunchtime, 5 days this week.

I try to avoid the housework=exercise, but it definitely is exercise!

    Happy weekend ahead, TT

Mat Pilates this morning. I have been busy the rest of the day & don't know if I'll get any aerobics in yet tonight or not (probably not!).

Rain yesterday, snow tomorrow. Happily, today was sunny and warm (ish). Got out for a walk after work this afternoon. Really enjoyed the fresh air!

I went to Yoga & did a dance workout on Utube.

Good work, Ladies. I, on the other hand, have not walked in a few days. I continue to go through bits and pieces of the house and get rid of things and rearrange as space is freed up.

Yesterday I spent the entire day with my DD and grandson. He wanted to be held most of the time and I loved every minute of it.

Today was Girl Scout Cookie Delivery Day for our area. I've been helping with this for over 20 years and it's usually freezing. We do it outside and by the end of the time I can't move my fingers and toes and have a hard time talking bc I'm frozen. Every year I tell my friend I don't want to do it anymore and every year she talks me into it. But today was different. It was cloudy and warm. I still dressed warmly but I wasn't frozen. Tomorrow it's supposed to clear up and get colder. I plan to walk.

Be sure to buy Girl Scout cookies! There is a new one called Exploremores that tastes like Rocky Road. I think it's too sweet but I still eat them lol.

I will watch for the Girl Scout Cookies & definitely buy some; although probably not Rocky Road, which does sound too sweet for me. I would probably never get anything done with a baby in the picture! The grandpuppies are over for the day while DS & DIL took a day trip. My exercise has been chasing them around ( they have actually been very good).

I forgot to mention yesterday that I cleaned the oven, something I have been putting off forever

Will look forward to getting some Girl Scout cookies…samoas and thin mints for me!

Got to my strength and core class last night but missed out on my lunchtime class today. Was supposed to have a piano lesson and then the teacher forgot! ...it was too late to go to the gym class by that time, ugh.

TT, those are my favorite Girl Scout Cookies too!

Zumba this morning, lunch with a friend, had the neighbor dog over for a little play date (finally a nice day), and HIT tonight.

Too windy to walk yesterday but today was perfect for my walk.

Also started my free yard sale by the curb this morning. Already about half of the items have been picked up. Fingers crossed that everything goes.

I’m going to buy GS cookies for donation. Too addictive to keep in the house! I love the Trefoil shortbreads and can eat a sleeve in a sitting. Unlike most ppl, I’m not crazy about thin mints.

Walked outside yesterday and today. It was 53 and sunny today! Cold returns tomorrow so got to take advantage while it’s spring-like.

Walked, did a bunch of errands, bought tickets for my niece's wedding in April, cleaned the fridge, went to Core, brought dinner over to a friend who's under the weather. I'm tired! 😴

TT: If you have mentioned before that you take piano lessons then I must have missed it. Are you a beginner or have you been playing for many years?

Badger: It feels so good to walk outside when the temperature is in the 50s.

Ruth: You were really busy today. Glad you got your tickets for your April trip. Weddings are exciting.

I had my 6 month cardiologist appointment today. All good with my heart! I take one medication plus a blood thinner. After my ablation last February I was on 200mg of the medication daily. In the summer I dropped it to 100 mg. Today he told me to take 100mg every other day. Hope to go off of it in 6 months. He wants me to continue taking the blood thinner. I'm starting to get a lot of bruising on my arms from it. Getting older and my skin thinning out has contributed to the bruising. But I'll take that any day over the possibility of having a stroke!

Rewarded myself for my good appointment by walking. It was in the 50s and delightful.

    You ask about piano…these crazy boxes;

    became:

now I need to learn how to play it!

How fun, TT! I took piano lessons as a girl & I bet some of it would come back if I started it up again. Hummmm....

Congratulations on your great medical appointment, Wonderland!

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women today.

TT: That's an awesome present! Good luck with your lessons. I admire everyone who plays the piano.

Ruth: Big group this week. I can't get over all the short sleeve shorts. ND citizens are truly hardy.

Brought my car in for routine service this morning. Was going to meet with friends to play Mahjong but one of them got sick so we cancelled. I spent the afternoon going through more things. I read an article about "The Great Stuff Transfer." Baby Boomers are leaving so much stuff with the younger generation and they don't want it. It coincides with The "Great Wealth Transfer" which I'm sure they will gladly receive!

Had a zoom meeting for the Girl Scout Gold Award Committee this evening. Girls present their projects to us for approval. The girl I interviewed tonight will be starting an inclusive program at her high school for interested EC students to join the varsity field and track team. They will be paired with a buddy, train weekly, attend meets. Lots of other details but that's the main purpose. I love hearing these project ideas. Really gives me hope.

    What an awesome program, Wonderland!

I spent the whole afternoon taking everything out of all the cupboards & drawers in my kitchen and bathroom. Cleaning, replacing contact paper, throwing out expired medicine & spices etc. etc. (long overdue, some of the bottles had expired in 2024!). Book Club tonight, which is always a delightful evening. Wonderland, we walked inside, hence the short sleeves, we wouldn't get too far outside dressed like that!

TT what a great present! My parents bought an organ and made me take lessons. I think they watched too many episodes of the Lawrence Welk show. It was not a happy experience. I’d rather have taken piano lessons.

Wonderland, I can relate to the “Great Stuff Transfer.” No one in the family wanted mom’s full set of china (for 12!) or her collection of tiny souvenirs spoons (not real silver). Good idea to start culling now. And, yay for good cardio appt!

Ruth, I did a cabinet clean-up a while ago. Expired meds went to drug take-back and expired spices went into the garbage. I will not admit how old some items were.

I had a good workout yesterday ahead of oral surgery today. I’m not supposed to raise my heart rate for 48 hours.

Yeouch, on the oral surgery, badger. Teeth stuff is so icky!

I went to HIT this morning & back for Dance2fit and Yoga tonight (my class for tomorrow is canceled so I exercised extra today). The weather is supposed to be nasty tomorrow, so it might be a good day to stay home and clean….or read!

Got to the gym last night after school and again today at lunchtime. Only three days this week, partially due to me and partially due to gym instructors absent. Oh well.

Had to drip faucets last night, ugh. Enjoying the already longer days…and just dreaming about warmer temps! TT

A cold, very, windy, nasty day. I basi Ucally stayed indoors & did a Zumba Utube video.

Badger: Hope your oral surgery went well. In December I had a crown and the procedure was perfect. Earlier this year I had an upper molar removed. Decided not to get an implant bc you don't see that I'm missing a tooth when I smile. I was not interested in having my sinuses lifted as part of the implant since it was an upper tooth. I had a lower tooth removed over a year ago and decided to get an implant bc your sinuses are not affected with lower teeth. But that implant became loose and I had to start the entire process all over again. That also factored into my decision to not get an implant earlier this year.

Ruth: If you think the weather is nasty than it must be really nasty!

TT: I like to keep up with watching the days getting longer. Right know it's dark by 6:15 or so.

I spent all day Friday with our grandson. He wanted to be held just about the entire time and I was happy to oblige. Yesterday dh and went to Carrboro to visit our granddaughter. She's 15 months old and full of energy. Not a whole lot of holding her bc she likes to go go go!

It IS really nasty. The cold, icy winds almost blow you sideways. We didn't get very much snow, so we are 'only' in a Winter Weather Advisory. North & east of us they are having a multi-day blizzard. Argh!!! Saturday I gave a talk to a woman's group about Theodore Roosevelt at 9:30 & at 11:00 I went to the funeral of a dear friend, who was an absolutely wonderful woman. There is a strong history of Alzheimer's Diease in her family; that was the one thing that she was afraid of & that's what happened to her……so it's been a long, sad decline. It was a big funeral, which is a testament to all the people whose lives she had touched. In the afternoon I walked 45 minutes while listening to a Podcast. Today I went to Yoga.

Sorry about your dear friend, Ruth. She sounds like someone I would have liked to have known.

    Walked today.

You would have liked her, Wonderland. She was a middle school Life Science (ie Home Economics) teacher for 29 years. Making pillows, cooking, and keeping the chaos managed amongst 7th graders with sewing machines and boiling water. After she retired, she started making mittens as gifts out of old wool sweaters. She'd make each one unique for the recipient. She made 1000s of those mittens. I am lucky enough to have several pair…..which are well worn by now.

I went to Zumba this morning. This afternoon the sun came out & the temperature soared to 3 above so I zoomed out and did as many errands as I could (another cold snap is on the way). HIT tonight.

    Got to the gym Sunday/Monday.

Schools starts up this week for all students, it has just been the graduate students so far, so things are getting crazy.

We are in the path of the big storm for this Friday - Sunday. SE Virginia could get between 12-18 inches, yikes.

Growing up with a home in New Hampshire, we thought not much about snow…here in Virginia, we don't get a lot, but we are also not prepared for it. My small city has one proper snow plow…all other "plows" are simply F150s with a plow on the front. Not proper equipment for any major event.

Take care all of us in very cold temps and potential hazards. TT

LIFT, Core, and Zumba today. I am trying to exercise 'ahead' because Saturday we leave for a week in Arizona. IF we don't freeze to death first!

Wonderland, yes it was sinus lift surgery. Not too bad, really. I go back in ten days to have stitches out. Implant 6 to 9 months later so I will have a good bite surface again.

Ruth, LOL @the warm-up to three degrees. Our weather is a day behind yours. It was so cold Monday, I didn’t leave the house. Got to the gym today for a very mild 30 mins on treadmill. Will go again tomorrow then the brutal cold descends. Wind chills down to -40 Thurs PM to Sun AM. I may hibernate.

Take care TT with the snow! 12-18 inches? Yikes is right.

    Wow -45…that is insane!

Our snow storm looks like more of an ice storm…which is bad in different ways, we'll see.

Love your AZ trip each year, have fun! TT
