Hi all, good to catch up. I’ve been MIA due to a death in the family. My BIL passed last week from esophagus cancer dx in October. He got three good months but the last month was hard. Home hospice was a blessing and so was his loving family. RIP Jim, you were one of the good ones.

Did get to the gym on Friday for core workout. My plank was pathetic but it will get better. Skipped the weekend then got busy with family obligations and making up for lost work time. Will go tomorrow and workout hard.

Oops, I put that meme on the wrong thread. If anyone is offended, I will be happy to delete it.

The weather is nice so we went for a dog walk this afternoon (and then went over & played with the grandpuppies). Dancefit & Yoga tonight. I am now also watching the Olympics!

I wasn't offended…I am part of that group, also former League of Women Voters president, I would be mad to lose my voting rights!

Sorry for your loss badger. This winter we have lost so many.

Got to the gym last night, if my meetings don't run too long today, will get to the gym at noon — that will make 4 days this week, Yeah!!!

The previous two weeks just got there one time each week…not good.

Happy Galentines to my all my gals! TT

Badger: I am so sorry about your BIL. May peace and comfort be with you and your family during this difficult time.

    Ruth: Definitely not offended.

TT: Hope you had short meetings today.

Lovely day for a walk. 55 degrees and dew point 22 degrees. All of that will start to change tomorrow and for the weekend with much needed rain arriving.

Thanks for the kind words, ladies. Good reminder to make every day count.

Ruth, have you ever had a chocolate martini? Yummy!

Gym yesterday. Stretch, treadmill, then whole body workout with dumbbells, lunges and squats. SO nice today, I took a long walk.

It was really nice here too! We took Bruno out for a long walk in the country. I also did 45 minutes of toning to a utube video.

Took a walk this afternoon. Enjoying this early taste of Spring while it lasts. Back to reality later in the week.

We are in for some 'interesting weather' starting sometime tomorrow. Maybe a thunderstorm, followed by freezing rain, followed by heavy, wet snow & wind……or not……stay tuned!

I went to Zumba, took two dog walks & back to HIT. Two of the three boxes of Girl Scout Cookies I bought Saturday are already gone, so I HAVE to exercise!!

Interesting weather sounds like scary weather. I know you'll be careful.

64 degrees. Had a nice fast walk.

The local GS cookie booths start here this Saturday.

It’s cloudy here and getting windy & colder so got in a walk before it rains. Blah!

A morning dog walk. It's very windy but nothing has started here yet. I'll go to CORE & Zumba both just in case I can't get out tomorrow.

Probably going to get a decent workout here with shoveling once this storm passes.

GS cookies aren't here as yet…not sure how we got on the naughty list to be passed by 😀

Finally get to the gym today for the first time this week!

Loving the longer days already and only 2.5 weeks until we change the clocks, I am ready for winter to be over.

It will be 60 here today, but we haven't yet taken a good hold on warmer weather. We are in yo-yo season…low of 20's, high of 40's, low of 20's, high of 60…

If you were planning on giving something up for Lent, I read this earlier this week and liked it a lot: In his Lent 2026 message, Pope Leo XIV urges the faithful to move beyond traditional fasting from food and instead "fast from words," specifically targeting the use of harsh, wounding language, gossip, and rash judgment. He calls for a, "disarming" of language to foster peace and create space for listening

    Take care everyone, TT

I'm not Catholic, but I am very impressed with Pope Leo.

It's snowing like crazy here; here's the small Wednesday Walking Women group. I've done some shoveling & will do more before this system is done.

Not Catholic but thought that was wise advice…raised Episcopal now Presbyterian…middle of the road christian.

Got to Tai Chi plus walked to church for 7pm Ash Wednesday service which gave me 45 minutes of walking round trip

That’s an excellent Lent message, TT. I’m not Catholic, either, but I am Christian and see Lent as a season of gratitude and reflection. My goal is to be less slothful. I need to finish the paperwork management project I started last year, gather the info needed and get the tax packet to our accountant, and stick to my workout plan.

The snow has stopped; but it's a cold day & everything is covered with ice, so not much of an improvement. I went to HIT this morning & cleaned the house. I am now watching the Olympics. I plan to go to Dance2fit tonight & to a basketball game. So busy, weather or not!

Worked until 4 then hit the gym. I prefer mornings as it’s less crowded but it’s hard to motivate getting up early when bed is warm and weather is cold. No snow here yet but it’s raining. Let’s see what the morning brings.

Doing really great on steps the past two days, no gym days Friday or Saturday, so trying to step up (literally).

We have been enjoying 50 - 60 degree days for much of the past week, but the storm coming to the east coast will maybe get us tomorrow into Monday. Right now SE Virginia is looking at 6 inches…which for us is a lot, but my hope is that the warm ground temps will lead to a quick melt off. I drove our F150 yesterday to boost its battery and give it a run in case we are snowed up for a bit. The ice storm of two weeks back arrived after a week of frigid temps, so it stuck for a long while. We always joke that in the Historic Triangle (Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown) we get snow, we close down for a day…and then it melts. Hope this storm brings us back to our more normal practice than the ice storm.

Besides laundry, making beds, grocery shopping and visiting mom, by main activity time was practicing the piano. Mr FitBit considered 30 minutes of piano practice as enough activity to give me activity points for the hour I was in. For me it was sitting and moving my hands only slightly more than I am now typing this…?🤣

Enjoy the last full day of olympics, we are! TT

Thanks everyone buying Girl Scout cookies or will soon be buying cookies! It means so much to the girls to reach their goals. We took our troop on some amazing educational trips that would not have happened if not for cookie money.

TT: Our mountains will be getting your storm. My location will only be cold and very windy. Mr. Fitbit converted your intellectual wellness into your physical wellness and gave you credit for your piano practice.

Ruth: Sad the Olympics are over. Did you watch the new sport called SkiMo? It was insane.

I got to visit my granddaughter yesterday. She's 16 months now and so much fun. It was a short trip but every minute counts.

Kinda rainy and cold today so I walked in the house.
