@gailmary - So nice to hear from you. I'd been wondering how you were doing. Sounds like as with the rest of us, you are moving along with ups and downs. Glad to know that you are still walking. Those walks are what I really rely on for both physical and mental health, and as one of the best gauges of how I'm doing overall. I think that as long as we can take walks, we're doing pretty well. Hope you have enjoyed the summer, and are now looking forward to the nice things that fall brings us too.

this is the bay on a good morning and walking my pugs here is Sri great for my physical and mental health. I can’t wait till the weather cools down a little. I just cant walk in this brutal heat and humidity with my lung issues.

@shanagirl - I'd enjoy the bay on a bad day too - just in a different way from the sunny summer days. I always find something really enticing and interesting about these natural places, no matter what the season or weather conditions.

Your sounding much better - here's to even more!

@shanagirl and @threetree I miss living next to Sail Bay by our house in San Diego. On days like today I would be walking the boardwalk or even take my scooter out since my leg isn't quite healed yet. Our condo was the one on the left of the trees in the center. We lived on the fourth floor so we had an unobstructive view. The second picture is looking out from our balcony. The first water is Sail Bay, the strip of houses is along Mission Blvd, and the far body of water is the Pacific Ocean. I loved living there even though we were surrounded by people and had to endure tourist season. We still own the condo…it rents out well!

@threetree . Yes you are so right. Even on the bad days I can see the bay and weather from my bedroom aand bathroom windows, even when I take a shower. It’s very calming on rainy windy days to watch the weather here.

@intolight I’m loving these pictures. We should all keep our self soothing pictures coming here even if we no longer live there.

@tanya_djamila Yes I did turn it over since would be harder to press button, made it shorter too and being careful while opening stuff too which were the causes. DB is fine, SIL told DB when I let her know.

Well, belong to a few facebook groups about cheap meal ideas or similar, amazing to me not many singles who don't mind Kraft Dinner have never thought of only eating 1/2 cup at a time, getting two to three servings instead of one and using more than one inexpensive seasoning to add flavour. Walmart has the chicken dogs that are 2 bucks for 12 or 5 bucks for 39. No need to limit oneself to straight up hot dogs, can chop up meat and use like beef. GetManwch and inexpensive seasonings. Frozen veggies are less than fresh. Oh well, no need to tell myself this stuff, I have discovered for myself. Less expensive seasonings are also good to have..

Not sure about meals today, almost done the freezer stuff that had to live in the fridge for a few days. Need to work on the stuff in the freezer, looking at possible egg, rice and lentils for meal one and I will figure out the other. Nice thing with the rice cooker, I do love my rice being so fluffy and easy to add lentils and eggs, heat up for at least an hour if adding more too it, even put a mini pot pie in with other ingredients. I usually give a good microwave of may 2 mins and make sure everything done. If I want them, can also use the air fryer at same time to add hashbrowns.

MEAL 1 Was lazy about it. Took the rest of a pkg of Knorr fettucine alfredo, 1/2 cup put 1/2 cup water and took a bunch of dried red lentils, our walmarts seem to be out of canned lentils. I get those at another store. Also added white cheddar seasoning in as well, is taking a long time but think will be good but do not believe the lentils are too visible. I know they can get mushy with longer cooks. I will post if it is good.

Other than that, laundry, floors and dust are on the go.

I hope all have a good day, in pockets for all.
