Pathology Results

Hello,

I had my lumpectomy on September 15th and received my pathology report day. I did feed my report into ChatGPT and the doctor also called me. The results were worse than I was hoping (although i know in certain respects I'm fortunate).

The tumor size was 1.4CM with a mix of ductal and lobular. Is that common to have a mix? I thought it was all lobular. Also there was a 3.1MM cancer found in one of the tissue cuts (there were five in all). But the report still indicates single foci tumor. also do i add the 3MM to the 1.4CM?

In addition, there was a 2.2CM DCIS with a 2MM clear margin. The doctor said not to worry about this, but it does freak me out.

The good news is that I had clear margins. But now i have to order the onco test which makes me nervous. My PR score was low at 5% and my ER score was high at 95%. Also I'm post menopausal.

Anyway, this is my first post here. Best wishes to all.

Is there anything particularly concerning from what i said?
