Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
At the end of the day, we must go forward with hope and not backward by fear and division.
Re: Calling all TNs
@cc4npg , best of luck with the osteoporosi s. I imagine i have it too and can't take the bisphosphonates. So I wonder if there is new stuff I could use. Never heard of Strontium citrate. I haven't even had a Dexa scan in years. I'll start there and talk to my endocrinologist about it soon. I do try to get my exercise. Or at least I used to till this dx.
I had a hysterectomy at 27 yrs! Some estrogen till 50. At the time surgeon told me to take calcium, vit D and magnesium. Added K cause I don't seem to make D so I need a high dose. Little production of melatonin too. No wonder I got breast cancer.
Re: Enhertu questions and experiences
Hi @elena_p …thank you for the commiserating and understanding. 🤗 I'm happy to hear you're starting to feel like yourself again 😍I had a better day yesterday, post day 5. Slept well and didn't wake up with the generalized fatigue and backache or mild queasiness [luckily I haven't had nausea per se, just the mild queasiness and no appetite.] Went for a gentle walk and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. Holding on to hope for both of us that our bodies adjust and tolerate the infusions better each time. Cancer can take a big flying you know what! 😎 Sending you love and courage and support. Take care and keep in touch. 💗

Re: Enhertu questions and experiences
Hi @jenene63 !
Looks like I wasn't the only one feeling like roadkill these days :) I'm post 1 week of first cycle and I only started to feel like myself again. Ok, days 1-3 were fine but mostly because of all those extra infusions we get during treatment but the next days were an absolute blur. At some point I contemplated if this is the quality of life I want to have but I had to slap myself back to reason. I have an 8yo and giving up is not an option. My oncologist also claims it gets better after 2-3 infusions and I really hope she's right! Hope all are doing well!
Re: Stage III Cancer Survivors...15+ years and out
Here for my annual check in, 22 years NED for me and still counting! Hello to all of the other 'old timers' who still post here. I always like to come back and see those names ❤️
Newly diagnosed DCIS
I just received my DCIS diagnosis on 2/20. My physician has ordered me an MRI due to punctuate calcifications seen between the two DCIS positive sites in my breast (which are 7 cm apart). Has anyone else had this?
46 years old IDC 1a Lumpectomy on Monday
Hi all, looking to connect with women going through the same kind of BC that I am. Whether just diagnosed, just had surgery or just started treatment. I feel it’s easier to talk to “strangers” about it. I haven’t told many people yet. Please reach out 🙏❤️

Taco, That 100 yr old sounds like the 100 yr old that leads my chair yoga class
My Dermatologist went crazy over blood work, 6 tubes, yikes! Most results have come in. All normal but one. She only froze one spot, but the Lupus rash was in over drive. It does that in cold weather. She took me off the cream I have been using and gave me a different one. The first couple of days it seemed to be working well, but the weather has been warm. It dropped to 30 degrees today and the rash is back. Strange.
Dentist today.
