Hey Lini...missed you. We should all go into the "staying connected chat" and have a real party...Friday or Saturday night maybe? There's usually no one in there so we'd have it all to ourselves and I'll bring the vodka fountain.

Oh had a major vodka hangover just this past Sunday. I think I'll stick with beer, usually bloat up before I get too drunk. Don't know why, but vodka doesn't like me anymore. Made a blubbering fool out of myself Saturday night, so I'm steering clear of the stuff for quite a while.

I've really missed all of you, not to mention myself. Don't know where she's been, or where she's going. I just hope she comes back to some sort of "normal" soon.

Vickie, what pray, tell is the pissy tent???

I might be up for a chat late Friday but I kind of have a 'date' that night so if ya'll want to hear about it afterwards I could share..... And Saturday I'm getting together with a g/f but might be around later. Just tell me where to go and I'll find you.

I'm in the same place as you Lini...blubbering fool yesterday over someone who wasn't worth it. (although I think we all need to "blubber" once in a while just to get it out of our system) Talked to Teena who told me that if I gave him any more "points" she was going to come kick my ass. (that would be one way to get her to NY LOL). If your out there Teena...thanks a bunch...your a doll.
Not sure where "myself" is either...guess I need to look a little harder.
Me, you and Shel need to get together!
Going "Black Friday" shopping with my sister...leaving at 4:30 in the morning...will probably do some serious drinking Friday night...should be an interesting day!

Hey Janis...in the "circle the wagons" thread we have all kinds of "tents" to hang out in...the blue tent...the sunshine tent and lately the "pissy" tent for all us hormone deprived, miserable pissy women! You should check it out...it' a great thread and lots of fun.
Tell us all about your date...hope it's a great one and have with your gf. I'll check the "staying connected" chat Saturday night off and on and see if anyone is there.
Hugs and hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful.

    Happy Thanksgiving Buds~

Baked a rum cake last night, made cranberry salad, and have sweet potatoes in the oven right now. This is my favorite holiday...lots of good food, LOTS of wine, what's not to love?

And my annoying sister in law went to London for Thanksgiving with her fiance - even better!!!

Christine - that turkey is hilarious!!! And I LOVE the pic of the cat pilgrim and indian dog - too cute!!!

Janis - do tell us all about your date, 'cause inquiring minds want to know.

I would like at this time to give thanks to all my drinkin' buds for making this the funnestess thread on the boards!

I hope each of you eats and drinks too much today - that's what it's all about!!

    Cheers!!

    Hi Ladies,

Too tired to write - or drink! Worked early and then had dinner with family. One measly glass of crappy merlot. Gonna try to do some shopping early Friday but can't over do it as I'm seeing my young man who wants to do unmentionable things to me later in the day so I HAVE to be somewhat well rested!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Felt crappy on Turkey day; sore throat-no energy, so NO drinking. Too bad, as everyone was pulling out their best wines for the after meal toasts. It was a nice extended Family get together, early in the day, at the country club. Great company, lousy food.
Later at my bros we just grazed on our own cooking and it was so delish! My mom's recipes, just like "it is s'pose to be"
Yesterday, Thanksgiving, kinda helped me outta my crappy funk. I have been feeling like I have no motivation to do anything. Then I went shopping and bought a new outfit to wear on T'day and started cooking. It really helped.

Now shel, please explain, is a "lodge" the same as an "action tent?" lol. Relax and have fun!
Oh lini- great to see you posting.
Hope everyone is having a fun holiday weekend. I am off to work til late tonight. My BUSY season starts now! Arrrgggghhh!

    Hello ladies,
Marathon shopping day today...up at 4am (crazy sister of mine!!) and we got home at 1pm. Got tons of great deals and spent too much money! But...I'M DONE! Only have to pick up a few small things for the girls at work.
Too tired to drink tonight...hopefully I will sleep in in the morning but I doubt it...usually 5am...wide awake. No action tent for me tonight.
    Janis...details details details...
Shel...hope your getting ready for tomorrow night and hope you have a wonderful time.
Christine...are you feeling better? My son started coming down with a cold the day before Thanksgiving and I gave him a couple of doses of the new "Airborne" flu and cold medicine and it knocked it right out of him. I've heard great things about it and have taken it myself when I flew to Florida just to keep my resistance up.
Lini...we almost had flip flop weather here today...first day of sunshine in 15 days and 50 degrees! Supposed to be the same tomorrow. Good to see you here.
    Cheers all

Feeling much better today. So glad to have a couple days of sunshine. Today was 70 and sunny. That really helps get me out the funk I've been feling. Lini- flip flops for me!
Vickie- I am jealous that your shopping is almost done. I have always been a "knock-it out on Christmas eve" gal. The only time, I was done this early was when I was scheduled for surgery on 12/5, two yrs ago. Now, I am back to my old ways-procrastination!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Janis? Shel? Are you guys still held-up in the ACTION TENT?

Christine, I'm glad you're feeling better! This fine weather we've been having (around 56-60 here lately) is just wonderful! The flies are confused, though. I had about four in my house today!

Oh, the action tent is THE place to be Ladies! From what I've seen lately I have total faith in today's youth!

I'm tired today (no, not from that!) as I raked and raked and raked some more and then cleaned out the gutters. Now it can snow - NOT!

Work tomorrow - blech - and Mon, Tue & Wed but then on Thursday I'm leavin' on a jet plane!

    Cheers to all!

Ok Shel...fess up...how was your date? Hoping that it was wonderful. Are you crossing the border and shopping today? If you are...have a great time. Retail therapy is the best.
Janis...the weather here is wonderful too and looks like its going to last a few more days...60 degrees today is what is forecast with lots of sunshine...just what we needed. I put up all the Christmas lights yesterday and cleaned the whole house except my bedroom which is a disaster! Hidden presents everywhere in there and with chemo brained me I will be finding gifts next July. Really need to get my bedroom organized and gifts wrapped and put in one place.
Leaving on a jet plane? What did I miss...hope your going somewhere fun and have a great time.
Christine...glad your feeling better and Janis has come out of the action tent but I'm really wondering about Shel.
    Have a great day ladies

OK. Shel is still MIA, musta been a great "lodge"
Going out for dinner w/ my bros and their fams. Love it cause I see the kids and the company considers it a business dinner (sshhh) Sure to have some good wine, but maybe not too much, thyroid biopsy tomorrow. Maybe a reason to drink more!
Hey Janis that was me with the rake today too. Cleaned all the flower bed, all outdoor furniture is put away and I am ready for winter, at least as far as the outside goes. Still, a little to finish inside before I can start the decorating. I said I wasn't gonna decorate this yr, too tired, but it may lift my spirits that have been like a roller coaster lately.
Vickie- that's funny about finding gift next July. I did that even before chemo brain. It might be better for me to buy it all on 12/24, just so I know where it all is.
Hey Donna, are you back in your new "old" house yet?
Later girls, gotta get ready to go.

Happy Thankful Weekend, Ladies! My writing and more important, reading of these boards has been positively awful! So in a most belated fashion, Thank You All, for giving me many moments of reprieve from fear, sadness and dread. You have made this so manageable, that I feel guilty when others commend how I've handled it. Tomorrow is the (hopefully) last of my surgerys. My PS is cool, but enough already, right? 6 month check up is Wednesday with onc... and then we're ALL on to a New Year.

    Big Hugs and many thanks

Nice to see you teena. No guilt. Guilt free zone here.
Yay, last surgery!! Is it your exchange one? It'll go perfectly, and you'll look amazing for the New Year.

Christine - I'm starving! What'd you have for dinner? I need to get off of my arse and make something for dinner.

Vickie - I've got the decorating done, but not one single bit of shopping. Need to figure out what to buy first.

Shel - Still in the Action Tent?? My turn next, so move on over. I need to be "shagged". Just heard that term in a movie I was watching. I guess it's less offensive sounding than the alternative.

    Janis - Vacation?? Lucky girl!

Donna - Maybe the annoying sil will bring you back something nice from London?? okay, maybe not.

    Hey buds~

Teena - good luck tomorrow. I forget now what you're having surgery for?? What DON'T I forget these days?

Maybe Shel moved into the ACTION tent? Hope she's having a great time

Janis - you rock on, girlfriend

Christine - glad you're feeling better. There's a lot of crap going around. I'm trying to keep my blood alcohol level up in hopes of drowning any bacteria.

Vickie - you're almost finished shopping? I'm jealous! I tend to be more like Christine, and on more than one occasion I have shopped on Christmas Eve, but not in a while. I just ordered my first gifts online Fri. Some uncut currency (a collectors page of four 2-dollar bills) for my bratty neices and nephew. I'm sure they'll find them totally lame, but they're so ungrateful anyway, who cares anymore. Gee, sound a little bitter, don't I?

I'm not moved into my new "old" house yet. Hopefully, we'll close next week. I picked out carpet, and still need to choose paint (and color). Totally bad timing, as I'm supposed to be out of my apt Dec 10th and am leaving on vaca Dec 13th the for the sisters trip to Montego Bay. HootyHoot! We can all three put away the cocktails. Have a feeling the Sunset Beach Resort won't be all inclusive after our stay! And two of the three of us are single.

Janis - didn't you say you were going to Guatemala?

    Cheers~

for a youngster, he's pretty patient!

    how're ya'll doing?

i'm tired 24/7, dizzy most of the time and bombarded with doctors appts and treatments and diagnostics........however.....i remain "mike free" and that's a good thing!

nice to see you all online!

Hey drinking buds...looks like I'm drinking alone tonight...actually really tired so going to bed soon.
Teena...hope everything went well for you today...thought of you all day and I'll call you in a couple days after you recouperate a bit.
Shel...glad your having a bit of fun...you deserve it.
Had a crappy day at work...one employee who has had breast cancer, lost her hair, had surgery, chemo, rads and now is a board member of our local Breast Cancer Alliance walked past an office I was working in with another women...came back laughing and said "gee...I didn't know it was you I thought you were a boy"...totally floored me...my hair is back, wearing a red fuzzy sweater, skirt, total makeup, earrings...you get it...the works. Got lots of good comebacks in the Circle the Wagons thread!!! I really wanted to throttle her but didn't. I do intend to contact the Breast Cancer Alliance though as she has done nothing since my dx but scare the crap out of me at every turn...told me how horrible chemo was, how her surgery was so bad she felt like she'd been shot in the chest, how she was so wiped out during rads that she couldn't get out of bed...NOT someone a newbie needs to talk to!
    Sweet dreams all

Vickie - How anyone could mistake you for a boy is beyond me. She is probably a big, ol' ugly thing and jealous of your beauty. I had a co-worker, also BC survivor, call me "hardy" like I'm livestock or something, because I'm reconstructing and she just cant "bear another surgery". Mind you I'm no skinny petite thing, but hardly huge at a size 10, just curvaceous. Well was when I had the boobs. LOL!! Her ass is twice the size mine is. Some people are so rude. She tried scaring the crap out me in the beginning too, but she knows to stay clear of me now. A few glares and even the stupid ones 'get it'.

Shel- Well, darn I put off entering the Action tent 'cause I thought it was occupied, but glad you're around and busy, busy even if it's a different kind of action.

Crack me up, Lini! yeah, I am avoiding the action too. Shel and Janis have it all "tied-up" (No pun) The drive is somewaht returning after the drug switch and maybe time, now I just need to find...."someone to play in my tent"
My ex BF that I went to Vegas with, now wants to take me to Italy! Ex or not, we travel well together and I've never been, Stay Tuned!
