Aw, thanks Vickie! I think??? I have a decent schedule this week so I can have a few drinks after work if I want to and I think I will. How better to cope with all this d**m snow! I'm moving to southern CA as Lini has the right idea by living there! Stay warm my Northern friends! Looks like hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps will be on the drink menu for a few months.....

Ah, F#$%! I put on Christmas carols hoping that it would inspire me to put on my new toe socks and write out my cards, but I'm here blubbering like a fool. Me thinks that me is depressed. Must pull myself out of it, NOW!! I'll be over in the Fruitcake tent, again.. Be back later.

Christine! I hate when you have to work so late! I check-in at odd hours too but if I were up that late there had better be a good reason!

I am meeting ANOTHER young man tonight. Well, he's not as young as the previous two but he is young. What can I say? Is it a crime to like nice, hard bodies? We're going to have drinks (and a meal perhaps since we're both hungry and haven't had dinner yet) then he suggested a hot tub place. Ooh la la! I initially said "no" to that but am taking my bathing suit just in case I like him!

Cheers Ladies! I'm working Sat & Sun but will definitely be around afterwards to see what everyone is up to.

aarrggghhhh to all! Just returned home to Ark after a week in sunny Fla--drinking Bloody Mary's every morning by a pool--sitting in warm sunshine--85 degrees and loving every second! Missed the snow/ice here in the midwest, but have returned home to temps in the teens. Have gone from t-shirts, shorts and barefoot to sweatshirts, heavy socks, and jeans--yuk!!! My "clock" is all out of whack--so, gonna go grab another Miller Lite and catch up on what I've missed!

    hugggsssssss!!!!!

    Hey Drinkin' Buds~

I've been so busy...I can't even begin to tell ya. What with the house remodel, moving, getting ready to go on vaca, Christmas shopping....oh yeah, and I have a full time job too! But it's all coming together.

Janis - welcome back! Tell us all about your exotic trip!

Mk - pull up a bar stool and enjoy an adult beverage on the funnestest thread (we also make up our own words here sometimes) on the boards.

lini - hope you're feeling better soon. I know this time of year can be depressing. ((HUGS))

Sounds like everyone is just chasing their tail....(or in Janis' case, chasing young tail :-)

Today is BIG MOVING DAY. And you would not believe the filth the ex left in that house. I knew it would be dirty, but Holy Crapoly! Unbelievable! Even the guy laying the new carpet made a comment on how dirty it was - that's bad!

Hope you all have a more fun weekend than I'm going to have. At least it's supposed to be around 45 degrees today, which will be an improvement over the last several days.

Everyone take care and I'll check in again before I leave for sunny beaches on Wed.

    Cheers!

Donna: Oh my I hate moving so much. And then to have a dirty house to clean. What a mess. Hoping this week-end goes by fast and you get all settled in.

Junie: Oh my, bloody mary's by the pool sounds so wonderful.

Janis: I hope you had fun. While you were enjoying a wonderful evening, I was sound asleep. Passed out about 7:30 pm.

Lini: Hoping today is a better day. Just put on those socks with the little toes.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good Morning Ladies!

(((Lini))) Belated hugs! Hope you don't need them anymore. Feel free to e-mail me, okay?

Donna, WTF? A dirty Ex? Well, good riddance to that! And good luck on moving. I'm sure it will be wonderful once all of 'your' things are in place and there are no traces of the slob! Cheers to that!

Nicki, pass out whenever you like. I do! If I can I'll catch the late game on Sunday. I work late most days this week so I'll probably only catch Christine since the rest of you are too busy to hang out! I currently have nothing but work in my life so here I'll be.

Oh, and nothing happened in the hot tub last night. He's a nice guy but despite his attempts at 'romance' I didn't respond. Guess I'm not such a slut after all? He jumped right in au naturale but I wore my bathing suit. And, no, I didn't peek at his stuff!

Happy Saturday to those who aren't working today. Me, I'm off to work and I'm looking forward to us breaking the freezing mark this weekend! Woo-hoo!

Janis...I can't believe you didn't even peek!!! I would have for sure, what can I say! It's supposed to warm up here today too...at least compared to the past three days when its been positively FREEZING!
Donna...good luck with moving today and I can't believe he would leave such a mess for you to clean...wait...he's a man...I do believe it. Jerk.
Junie...I went to Florida a couple of years ago in February so I know what a shock it is to come back to freezing temps. We went to the ocean when we were there and it was great but all the Floridians thought we were nuts...It was winter for them and you just don't play in the ocean in winter! Little do they know.
LINI...have a drink...Lexapro and Xanex are my friends...couldn't make it without them. Have fun in the fruitcake tent but come back later.
Hmmm...hope we didn't scare MK off!!!
Missing Teena...will try to call her later today and see how she's doing.
    Till tonight ladies.
    Hugs

Hey all, finally feeling back to normal, after this past whirlwind week.
Welcome home Junie and Janis! Junie, I would liked one of those ML's with a little bloody mary mix (like a red beer)
Oh Vickie- give Teena a "Holla" for me, where has she been?
I am staying in tonight. I am usually so beat by Sat night, it's the most I can do. Maybe a glass or two of vino is in order. I am gonna write my Christmas cards, so not too much wine.
Janis- I definitely would have tried not to sneak a peek, but he sounds, like he was sure proud of himself and maybe disrespectful of the fact that you weren't "that into him" Maybe he thought he'd win you with a lil surprise "package" lol.
Shel, I left Mike a message in his thread. Make sure he is checking his messages. What is his user name? We could pm him and welcome him, NOT!

Ha Christine! He wasn't really acting stuck-up, we met on an "adult" web site so perhaps he thought.....

He e-mailed me today wanting to get together tonight but I worked late and have to work early tomorrow and just wanted to stay in and not have to deal with saying "no" again so I declined. He was a gentleman actually but I'm not attracted to him, not even for a quickie. I'm hoping to connect with another guy I went out with recently!

Oh, and I'll post a pic of my trip soon, as soon as I load one onto the computer. Looking forward to watching some football after work Sunday. Go Bears!

    Cheers,

...mercy--I love this discussion! Weaning myself from the bloody Mary's to just good ol' V-8! YUCK!! Christmas cards!!! ohh, lord--I have an assembly line procedure that Bob screws up every year, so some people get two cards from us! If he would only listen to me!!! Got to get serious about some decorating--just now put away the pumpkins and scarecrows!

I'm thinking we all need to ponder on a drinker's get-together next year--hmmmmmm, not that far away timewise--but, wouldn't it be FUN!!

I discovered how to keep dh from screwing up the assembly line of cards: he now does ALL the cards. Works out beautifully. He wouldn't listen to my plan either, so I gave him the whole list.

Thank you my friends for the support on Friday. Was feeling totally down. My husband took me out to dinner at a nice Thai restaurant and then for a few drinks afterwards. It actually knocked my butt back into the living. I think it was just what I needed, and we're going to do it more often. Went to a memorial for a family friend yesterday. He was only 58. I will quit wallowing and live my life fully. They showed a video memorial and I realized how short our time is here and how we truly need to make the most of it. So, cheers and bottoms up!!!

So i'm a little pissed/depressed and have not been drinking so much. Which is good since I lost 7lbs so far, been walking 10 miles for the last two weeks. Praying to get a job soon. I do get to collect but f-it don't pay the bills.

Anyhow seems like you all been having fun. Will come back later when I"m in a better place!!!!!!!!!

RANDI...sending you hugs first of all. Lousy Thanksgiving and laid off...yup...you need a drink and you need us. You don't deserve all that and you have every right to be pi$$ed and depressed. You can hang out here no matter how you feel though and we'll do what we can to brighten your day.
debf...sorry your feeling like crap, I always felt the worst the three days after chemo too. Cute motto but, I most definitely have had bad wine...really bad wine! You are welcome here anytime...it's been a bit quiet lately so it's time to wake everyone up.
Hi Kim and welcome to you too...
    Christine...Still haven't gotten a hold of Teena.
    Donna...are you all moved in?
    Janis...do we have pics yet?
    Lini...still smiling?
    (((shel)))...where are you?

(I tried to post some pics but am SO retarded that I don't remember how to). I'm trying to use photobucket (as I have before) but it's not working. Well, maybe some of my pics will be posted here before too long?

    Hey Buds~

Well, all my stuff is moved in, but most of it is in boxes. My friend Debbie from Joplin, MO came to the house Fri night and seriously, she saved my sanity. She's a cleaning machine, and worked her ass off cleaning so I wouldn't have to move into a total pig sty. She's coming back this weekend while I'm on vaca to clean some more. She's a great friend!

The first night at the house (Fri) when the furnace kicked on, I thought it would take off, it was so loud! How ex slept with that racket is beyond me. Anywho - BF came over Sun night, took it apart, and the reason it was so loud is the fan had so much dirt and gunk in it it was making it clang! You wouldn't believe the black stuff we sprayed out of that furnace fan. It's much quieter now, thank God!

Vicki - I think you're right about the man/dirt connection. They have tons of energy to play golf or whatever, but God forbid they pick up a dustcloth! I swear - he didn't dust or clean AT ALL for 2 1/2 years!

Janis - did you have fun on your trip? Find any young, hot Guatamalan men?

Lini - glad you're feeling better!

Randi - sounds like you've had the last couple of weeks from hell. But a 7 lb weight loss is GREAT!

Nicki - no drinking EVER? WTF? I have a feeling I'd wind up breaking those rules. I like Janis' alternative solution

debf & 2kids - welcome to our "happy hour" that goes nonstop, 24/7.

Need to get back to unpacking boxes. What a pain in the ass. Packed up all that crap to move it 3 miles.

Also need to finish packing for vaca. Tomorrow at this time, I'll be on my way to Montego Bay WooHoo! Can't remember when I've been so stressed, I am SOOOOOO ready!

You girls behave while I'm gone

I get back late Sun so I'll try and check in Mon.

    Cheers!
