    Hey Buds~

J - I hear ya on that vodka "doing you in" thing.  It did me in Sat night in Eureka. Holy cow....  Think I'll stick to wine myself.  Hope this merger doesn't cause you any heartburn.

As Junie mentioned, met up with some drinkin' buds over the weekend in Eureka Springs, AR.  Junie & Christine were the only drinkin' buds there but I drank enough Sat night for all of us trust me.

It's a lovely little town.  Too bad it started SLEETING at 11:00 Sun.  I couldn't believe it!

I'm leaving Sat for FL again, but unlike every other vacation I've been on I'm not super excited about it.  Probably because I'm hoping BF Mark and I don't strangle each other....our trip to FL last month was fun scuba-wise, but not so good in the relationship area.  Maybe having his sister and BIL around will make him chill out a bit.   If not, I see a lot of wine in my future next week  Tongue out

    Cheers,

    Donna

Glad to hear y'all had a great time.  Wish I could have been there.  I just popped the cap off my first of many MU for the night.  Tax extensions are done and in the mail - tomorrow is a holiday so plan on sleeping in and not waking up with a hangover!!!

Have a great trip to Florida Donna (AGAIN) just not fair!!!

    Cheers to all

Sam--we missed you!!!  Next time, for sure!!!

Bottoms up all, please, a toast to the "Beaver Bridge"...this is a one-lane suspension bridge that has had a lot of controversy since we've moved here concerning maintenance, community pays/state pays--cloudy issues.   With the unprecedented rainfall and dams letting water out and flooding---well, bottom line is, this bridge is under water.   We can still get where we need to go in the "big city" for dr appts, etc--without it, just adds an hour drive each way to our trip!!   This bridge is our short-cut to civilization!   "They" are saying it will be 3-6 months before it is determined if the bridge is structurally safe after the flood.   I'm about ready to move back to civilization--but had the most glorious sunset this evening...

only thing I can think of is to have another ML and ponder this situation!!!

    Bottoms up!!!!

    HI all,

I just discovered the Miller light  lime beer, and it is pretty good!! I went out to lunch with a friend last week, and she got one, so I had to have one, too!  It was good, so I told my dh about it, and he bought some... I even bought MORE when I went to the store yesterday!!

I don't have time to catch up on this thread, but I'll try to read thru the posts later... today, I've GOT to clean this house!  My MIL will be coming over later.  We are going out to dinner for my BIRTHDAY, which is on Monday!!

I'll drink to that!!  Hand  me another capt. Morgan & diet coke!!

Happy Birthday Harley!! I'll have a drink to help you celebrate tonight!

Jaybird - I would have NO idea how to post a pic, at least you've given it a great effort! Hope you had a drink after that!

Well I did it. I went and had my foob tattooed. Two red roses and a pink ribbon in them. It looks so real! Just like a corsage! I'm very happy with it!

Hope everyone is doing well! Gotta get to work,

    Bottoms up!

Hi, Sam!  horning in on your post and sent J. my e-mail addy too so she can maybe cc me when she sends you pics!

Hope all is well with everyone!  Think we're home for a few weeks before our next "mandatory formation".   That's what Bob calls all the family/kid/grandkid havetogoto events.

Roofer has maybe fixed our two leaks.   More rain expected later tonight; if it is a heavy rain, maybe we can tell if all is well with the roof.   Boat ramp still under water.   Weather is warming up enough that we are getting antsy to take boat out...think it is going to be a wild, interesting season!

Happy Birthday Harley!  Lynne--contrats on the tattoo!!!  I imagine how neat it is!

big hugggsssss to all and bottom's up--think I've got room for one more ML before I go to bed!!!

    Hey ya'll,

Lynne, I bet your tattoo is BOOB-eautiful!!  I got tattoos of my aureolas, and now they are looking less like a couple of water balloons, and more like real breasts!

Thanks, everyone for the warm birthday wishes!  We still have that bottle of champagne in the fridge, so we will be celebrating another night, too!  We are going over to the neighbors house tonight, because she is making a cake for me, and I'll bring a bottle of wine, to go with the cake!!  I don't want to share that champagne with my neighbors!!!

I can't wait to drink that champagne...it's my favorite!!

    Cheers!

    Hi Buds~

    Happy belated, Harley!

Lynne - your tats sound great!  You'll have to post a pic Wink

Junie - glad to hear your leaks are fixed.  I could tell Bob's a handy guy!

I'm in FL, and yesterday we went to St Augustine and it was a fun day.  Ended up in a little local bar (shocker) and had several beer and two shots of tequilla.  Surprised But don't feel bad today (yet).

J - hope somebody can figure out your pics.  Haven't seen little Avery in forever!

There's a storm moving on shore here, so we'll probably just stay inside and drink LOL!  What's a girl to do?

I'm going to call Marsha! Marsha! Marsha! today.  I think she's in Oscala (sp?) to see if we can meet up.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Cheers,

    Donna

Hi all!  Thanks for all the great feedback on my new addition. I would like to post pics but have no idea how....or if I was allowed to do that. My tattoo artist is going to post it on her website. I'll update everyone when she does!!

Bad news yesterday...my mother in-law was just diagnosed with DCIS. She said the mass is about the size of a quarter and she thinks there's another spot also. She'll find out more next week Wed. when she meets with the Onc.

Hope everyone will have a drink and hope for the best for her!

Donna - the beach sounds wonderful  and a lot of fun!!

Harley - Did you get that other bottle drank? I sure know what you mean about the water ballons! LOL I did have  a nipple recon.but I covered it and love my new decoration!

Junie - Hope you're starting to get dried out! ( and don't mean from the drinking!! )

    Better get to work!

    Bottoms up!

    ...hi, Lynne!

My dh decided that we should take the champagne to the neighbor's house last night, to have with the cake!  So, I had one glass... it's gone now!!    GRRR....

I am getting the nipples done on May 22nd... This has been going on now for over a year, and it's time for my ps to get busy, and FINISH already!!!

Well, it has to be 5:00 SOMEWHERE!

    Cheers!

Hrmph. I can't believe none of you fun ladies live in SLC or Washington DC! I do have some 'better' layovers in May and if they are such that I can go out at night I'll put my schedule out here and maybe we can have a get-together. I might have a free night in NY the first week in May  :)

Okay I have  short night here in NY and have to finish off my Banrock Station Shiraz/Cab before I crash at the crash pad so

buh buy and cheers for now!

Donna--glad you checked in--hope trip is going well, other than a storm coming in--cuts down on the scuba diving, doesn't it!

Lynne--we're not drying out--far from it!  2+ inches of rain yesterday and maybe 2+ today--it has thundered and rained non-stop for last six hours!   But, so far, roof isn't leaking...we keep checking!  I love a good thunderstorm--it echoes through our Ozark hills and I love the rumbling, growling.   From our deck and family room we can see 40 miles and can watch the storms coming in.  But, I am getting weary of day after day after day after day!!!!!   Bet Sam is getting soaked again, too--and I mean by rain!!!  (LOL)

And we think a group of coyotes has been flooded out of a low-lying home and they've taken up residence in our valley.  Been waking us up every night with their howling!   Keeping a close watch on our monster dog when he goes outside!  Sorry to hear about your MIL!

Jaybird, have you been able to see the cherry blossoms in bloom in DC?   Can't remember when they peak, but think it is in April.   I used to travel to DC way too often for work, but one year was there to see them in full bloom--awesome!

Bottoms up--one more ML then off to bed to listen to the pitter patter of raindrops on the skylight and the wild animals!!!

    hugggssssss, junie

    Good Morning to all!

Harley - I know what you mean about getting done already. It was a full year for me from start to finish on the recon. Seemed like 5! Nipples should certainly help to feel like your more "complete" Sorry to hear about everyone helping to finish your bottle. Guess you better get a replacement!!

Junie - Sorry to hear you're water logged! I always like to hear the thunderstorms also. Unlike you we can not see storms coming. We are not in a real "mountain" area but do have some nice size hills around us. Two weeks ago the neighbor said a tornado came right over the hill and went right over our houses, it touched down in the town my cousin lives in. Damaged about 30 homes. It wasn't very publisized, I think because fortuanetly no one got hurt. We also have come coyotes in our area. My DH saw them across the rd last week. Hopefully that's as close as they come! Well I better start wrapping up so I can get to work!

Jaybird -sorry you had to drink alone! I certainly would've drank the cab with you! Maybe someday!

    Bottoms up girls!

    Hi ya'll

Lynne, yep, I can't believe how SLOW these ps offices are!!  When I first started going to see this guy, there was NOBODY in his office!  I got in right away!  But now, it feels like they must be giving something away, 'cause there is always a line at his office!

Anywhoo... I just wish he'd finish already...cause I have this nipple on my leg, and it is really starting to annoy me!!  If you haven't read about my  nipple on one of the other threads, the ps took my nipple from my GOOD boob, and stuck it on my leg, to wait til all this was finished, so that he would know where to find it, when it was time to put it back!   YICK!!  It was SO UGLY!

Well, this isn't the 'bitchy' thread, so I'll go for now...

Hope everyone is staying dry, and warming up!!

    Cheers!

Haven't gotten motivated to get off of here and start working yet!!

Harley - OMG I have never heard of that! I'm sorry but I'm LOL! It's a good thing he put it where he could find it! I'm sure May 22 can not get here soon enough for you! I think I need some kahuala for my coffee today!

I really have to go now!

    Lynne,

I know, every time I am feeling depressed, I just think about that nipple!  It makes me laugh!  I am just joking when I say that my ps put the nipple on my leg, so he'd know where to find it!  That is just the way he does it...  EEWW!!  Sorry if this is TMI!!  You are right... I will be SO GLAD when May 22nd arrives!  If they did it the way I suggested, they would be finished now!!  Before my bi-lateral mast., while I was in pre-op, I told the anesthesiologist that I needed to talk to my surgeon.  When he came in the room, I said "We decided that we are going to use my dh's nipple!"  I heard a loud roar of laughter, and then I was OUT, like a light!

    It is SO funny!

Hope you have a great day!!  Yes, a drink sounds pretty good right now.

    Cheers!
