Grabbing a couple of buckets of ice cold beer, ML and Diet Coors! Planning on sharing of course!

Kathy, are you all packed? Will you be able to check in with your favorite drinkin buds? (or should I say "drunken buds") LOL When will you be back? Does dad have his favorite drinks ready to smuggle? Maybe Jaybird can offer a few tips on that.

    PAU HANA!

Wow, glad some people came to the bar.  Had an hour and a half at the dentist and thats long enough for me.  Have to go back next month...drats.  A couple more problem spots.  I felt quite strange there today....the gal was cleaning my teeth and they tie that lovely dental napkin from your collar right over your boobs to catch drool, wipe their tools, etc.  I kept wondering if she could feel the exapander (turtlle shell) under there when she wiped her tools on the my chest.  I was hoping she wouldn't. LOL  Hugs to ya all, I am headed out to find Lori and Wahine.....want to tell wahine...yeeeehaw on her bloodwork.  Junie, enjoy your company.  Dee, I hope you are feeling better.  Jaybird....how was the birthday?  Lori, I would love a diet Coors!!!  HunkyD

    I'm here! I'm here!

HunkyD, I have a good relationship with my hygenist, and would have had to say something corny to her! Her name is Lori and her hubby's name is Darrell! (He recently and suddenly passed away) But we always laugh about the names, and she knows all about my cancer. In fact, one day, on my way to the airport, to fly out for chemo....we were both at the same gas station. Talked for a bit, finished pumping gas.....and I realized that it was her. I looked at her and said "Lori?" She said "yes". I said "Its me Lori, pulled my wig off, told her I had cancer, blah blah! She didn't recognize me with the short blonde do! We hugged, talked some more and went on our separate ways.

I got a phone call tonight about one of my tests. The bone scan, it came back negative! So I have good blood work, negative bone scan, and just need to wait for news on the CT scan. Whoop whoop! Give this girl a drink!

    Cheers to no fears!

Lori, YAY on your negative bone scan......FANTASTIC NEWS!!! I am so happy for you. Hope the CT scan will be just as good! NO, not packed....I keep trying to, but have had lots to do. Trying to get DH to get his clothes together too. Be back late on the 16th, and yeah, my Dad has his bourbon all packed! My mom has had their suitcases packed for a few days now. All our hotels sound amazing, so that will be really nice. One is even what used to be the treasury dept bldg, so lots of amazing architecture. And one really snazzy one is ABOVE several floors of shopping...how great is that...lol. What a coincidence about your hygenist and her late DH having the same names as you & fiance. I hope she is doing ok...sooooo hard to lose your spouse. I still miss mine and it has been 17 yrs.

HunkyD too bad you couldn't find that Hop Stoopid beer....maybe then the spots would have disappeared, and wouldn't need dental work. Ha!

Jaybird, looking for birthday pics, and hearing about her big day!

Enjoying all those drinks Lori, and toasting your good results! Suck 'em Up!

CONGRATS Lori!! SO glad all your tests came back clear and your CT scan WILL be fine too. Kathy, I wish I could climb in your suitcase and go along on your trip. Like Hunky, I haven't had a vacation for such a long time. I am doing okay, but my forehead has little bruises all over it...lol   So what's good to drink at the lounge tonight? Line em up and keep 'em coming Tongue out

Here's to whisky on the rocks but NO BOTOX!!

    Hugs to all,

Kathy, I did not know about your husband, I am sorry. I am sure you will miss him always. Have you re-married? Glad to hear dad has the important things packed! You will have soooo much fun. I think it is so wonderful that you have, not only the opportunity to do this, but to do with your parents. You too, will have to post some pics.

Dee, I am still laughing (sorry). Did you at least get to come out of it wrinkle free? Hope you have been able to calm down and I love your cheer. Good one for you!

Jaybird, yes we want some pictures of the party. If you have trouble with it, you can send them to me, and I would be glad to do it for you. PM if you need to.

Hi Lori, Thank you. He was my true soul-mate and adopted my kids when we married (they were 2 1/2 and 4 yrs old). Was an excellent husband and father...died when they were teenagers and we had a small farm and horses to care for. He was a grocery store mgr and also a Jump Master in the National Guard Green Berets (had been in VietNam as Green Beret also). He was just 41 and is missed every day! I remarried almost 12 yrs ago...great guy...adores me, and loves my family like his own...just not quite the same. But, life goes on! I appreciate your concern. Yes, it is great to get to travel with my parents. We traveled alot w/ my mom and late step-dad too. My parents just remarried each other 5 yrs ago! DH lost his parents many yrs ago, so thinks of my parents as his own, which is very nice.

    Ciao,

    Kathy

Wow, Dee....thanks so much for letting me know about the nose.  Only a true friend would tell someone that they had something hanging from their nose.  I went to the ladies room and freshened up.  Wahine, you have found two good men in your life.  That is a miracle indeed.  I think it is great you like to travel with your parents, and so very nice your DH loves them like his own.  If chemo brain and alcohol didn't kill all my brain cells, I think when I first started posting here, that I remember you telling about your dad packing his liquor in a prune juice bottle.....so funny!  LOL.  I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip.  Hope you take some pictures too.  I need to get out to the pool and get settled in.  XXOO Hunkydory

Hey, Jocks--bring a bunch of cold beer!!!   Company gone, but paybacks are hell and we've decided to head to their house for the weekend--we're about 2 hours apart.  LOL--last time we went for a weekend, we stayed for a whole week!!  My heart's not in the trip, but we'll be able to go to their local casino which is always a fun time.   I'm just tired--think I need a massage from one of our guys tonight.

Sounds like all are getting good news back from tests so that's a great reason to lift a few cold ones!  Hunky, I've got some major dental work coming down the road--have decided to wait 'til after step dau's wedding to get it started.   Maybe by then, I'll figure out how I'm going to pay for all of it!   Need impressions, teeth pulled, partials, and deep cleaning...and talk about panic attacks--think I'd rather go through chemo again than go to the dentist!   Stretching that just a bit, but have a real hang-up with dentists--always have had.    MORE BEER!!!

shhhh!   Don't tell Wahine, but I am transforming myself into a piece of lint and am going to Oz in her pocket!!!    Can't wait to hear her stories and see some pics!!    Would love to visit Australia but the lhought of such a long plane ride does me in.   I'll just enjoy hearing about her trip!

    big hugggssss to all!

HunkyD, you sure have a FANTASTIC memory! Yup, it was my dad putting liquor in an empty prune juice bottle...that was for a cruise though since you aren't supposed to bring liquor onboard....shhhhhhh! I thought that was supposed to be on your nose, like Lori did. Maybe I need stronger glasses...glad Dee is here to keep things straight! We do all look after each other, and that is sooo neat!

junie, Glad you get to do "pay back"...lol. Hope you have a blast at the casino, but bet you won't find anyone like our "hunk" there! Maybe if the guys here give you a good massage before your trip, it will bring you luck. Want to hear about your big jackpot! And I wondered what that darn pile of lint was in my pocket...now I know....will try not to wash you out so you can go on the trip...ha ha. Yeah being on 1 plane for 15 hrs straight from LA is not going to be fun. Relatives are filling me in on stuff we can do, so should be fun.

Babysat most of the day...sure enjoyed pau hana time! Felt like I deserved it. CAZ, where are you girl? Seems like it is just a small motley group these days...but we have TONS of fun! Are the guys planning something for tomorrow (hint...it is Thursday!)????

Dang, 15 hours on a plane? And I am worried about 6! I really don't like to fly and then to have to fly over the ocean, yikes! Although if you crash, I guess it really doesn't matter if it's over a body of water or land, right??? ! ! !

I'm still laughing about Hunky's nose! I don't think a day goes by, that I don't come here and laugh.

Junie, have fun on your trip (I know you will). The lint comment was cute!

Kathy, those boys better be planning SOMETHING.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! I am suppose to be 51, but since I spent my "50th" on a plane, flying out to get chemo, I think I should be able to make this my "50th"

    Love ya's

WOW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lori!!!!! Now, I know why the guys have been decorating the HTL like crazy today. Thought it was for our "Thunderous Thursdays" but it is for "Lovely Lori's Birthday"!!! We will PARTY tonight! I agree...this should be your 50th, for sure....and celebrate it twice as much...you deserve to have a great birthday this year. I do not have ANY of the photo skills that HunkyD does (HELP, HunkyD...please post the lounge all decorated for Loris birthday!), but tried to make your pic look festive. Wish I could have done better though. Your pic looked better b4 I tried to add stuff, so hope it is ok with you (I tried hard!). HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been by lately.  For better or worse, my life is getting back to normal, so I'm not on the computer as much.  You've been busy while I was away...losing money, learning to surf, turning 3 and 50ish.

Dee-I still can't get past the botulism toxin part of the BOTOX.  I've heard that some PS use it to prevent muscle spasms after fills.  I might have resorted to that after my first couple of fills.  I hope you're feeling better.  Certainly the boys can concoct a XOTOB drink for you.

Lori-I'm so sorry I missed you again.  I'll PM you my e-mail.  We'll make this happen sometime. I'm glad your tests came out okay.

Hunky-sorry about the dental work.  I haven't had to have any done since I discovered the Hop Stoopid.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.

Junie-you need to let someone wait on you for a while.  I hope you win some money or have fun losing it at the local casino.  It was fun to hear of your Vegas shenanigans from Sam.

Hunky-I'm getting closer and closer to a Hawaiian vacation just listening to you.  I am fortunate enough to have a soul mate, too.  I can't imagine losing him.  Our 18th anniversary is coming up next month, and I'm grateful for every day.  I hope you have a marvelous trip.  Don't drink the water (I can't remember where you're going, but the beer is bound to be better than the water).  Glad your tests were fine.

Jaybird-how about a cool one by the pool?  It is supposed to be 112 here today.  I actually went to the pool for the first time since all the surgeries this morning.  It was refreshing.  I think I'm more buoyant.  I don't know if it's the silicone or the lack of exercise.

Happy birthday to you.  Happy birthday to you.  Happy birthday dear Lori.  Happy birthday to you.  Who's that popping out of your cake?

May the light always find you on a dreary day,

When you need to be home, may you find your way.

May you always have courage to take a chance,

And never find frogs in your underpants!

    Happy Birthday Lori !!

    Peace and health,

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lori!   Hope it has been a wonderful day.   Looking forward to a great party here later tonight!    Lori, think when we went to Hawaii we flew from here to Houston then the 6 hours from Houston to Hawaii.   It wasn't a bad trip at all.   We were with some friends so we played cards and chatted and--oh yeah--DRANK!!   Lord, airplane drinks are getting so costly--we add extra money to our trip budget to cover drinks on planes and in airports.  I am horribly claustrophobic so always try for an aisle seat--plus I get up and move around every hour or so to stretch my legs; go to the bathroom--piddle away the time.  I also get extremely BORED, so am always bogged down with mags, books, games, cards, crosswords--anything to keep my mind busy.....LOL--Jaybrid would not enjoy me as a passenger on a transAtlantic flight!!

Wahine--you did a bang-up job with Lori's pic!    Hope you are all packed and about ready to go.  While you're gone, we'll "sing you to us"... so you'll know we're thinking about you and missing you.

Dinner is about ready--hope to be back later for the big party!!   I see lots of trucks pulling up--Coors Lite, ML, and even a Hop Stupid one!   Lots of beer on hand for later!!

    huggssss to all!!!

Stopping by for a drink to toast the birthday gal, but she isn't around. Lori, now you know the guys are planning something special, so you need to come here for a bit, tonight. A mighty large cake, as CAZ mentioned....someone will be popping out of it, I'm sure. Looks like quite a celebration. Well Lori...this ones for you!!!

CAZ, I'm going to Australia on Monday...I think you got me mixed up with HunkyD? Water should be okay, but beer and wine would be much for fun! Wish Jaybird would chime in about some good Aussie wines I should try.

Hi junie, we were writing the same time, so came back on here to say hello! Nope, not packed yet....maybe tonight...lol. I will miss you all, but will take the little netbook so maybe we will find some internet connections.

    Hauoli La Hanau Lori!

Wow!!!  A lot to keep up with--the Birthday Girl's been in the bar, in the pool, in the casino...think she is getting lessons in Hawaii-speak from Wahine just now    Junie's running around trying to catch frogs to put in everyone's pants---I swear, that is one of the funniest expressions I've EVER heard!!   Hunky keeps checking her mirror looking for boogers;  Think DEE is giving floating lessons in the pool and CAZ is inside the bar with the A/C on high!

Jocks and Pants are having a hard time keeping up!   Ahhhh, they're bringing out this humongous cake--I get the chocolate part!!

    Happy, happy day, Lori!!!

OH MY GOODNESS, this is the best BIRTHDAY I have EVER had! Surprised

Thank you girls, so very much!

Kathy, you are just as good as Hunky with the pictures, I saved it and sent it to my mom! Now if you could explain "Hauoli La Hanau" (and how to pronounce it) or I could ask Darrell ! ! !

Dee, thanks for the cheer, I love it! I actually have a pair of panties with frogs on them and I will wear them to the casino. Darrell is always putting his hand in the wasteband of my pants while we are playing, and for luck says "rub the froggie, rub the froggie"! I hope your forehead is healing!

Junie, I think we are flying out of San Diego or L.A. We have friends going with us too, so hoping that will help. And I bet Jaybird would love to have you as a passenger. You have everyone pegged to a tee, boogers, floating lessons, A/C......LMAO!

Hunky, you have done it again! We love your additions to the HTL. What a cute little froggie, just keep him out of my pants please, he looks pretty big! And even came dressed for the party!

CAZ, one of these days....one of these day!

Thank you all so much, you all mean so much to me! What a party! Now for some cake. No calories, right???

Darrell decided that we should go to town yesterday for my birthday, instead of going today (our usual day for going to town) and took me out to dinner and then over to some friends house for drinks. So, that is why I wasn't able to check in. So what a nice surprise this morning when I logged in.

Big big hugs to all of you! (I hope I didn't forget anyone)

Hi Lori, Glad you enjoyed your birthday at the HTL, even though you were MIA! Sounds like Darrell gave you a very special day..so glad you had a good time. Of course....no calories in any cake you eat on your birthday...DUH...lol. Ummmm.....this might be TMI..."Darrell is always putting his hand in the wasteband of my pants while we are playing, and for luck says "rub the froggie, rub the froggie"!"  J/K....I know how you meant it...just had to kid you. As far as "Hauoli La Hanau"...that means Happy Birthday. Would LOVE to know how Darrell would pronounce it...lol. I will try to help.... How-Oh-Lee La Hah-Now...of course hard to transfer where the accents should be, but hope that will help some.

Junie, Hope you got your fill of the chocolate cake...BUT I got dibs on the frosting!!! I swear, I could throw away the cake and just eat frosting...yummy...thats the best part. DH likes the cake best, so that is a good match.

So much fun last night! But... :(  I will miss having my birthday at the HTL, cause it is on the 13th, and we will still be in OZ. But you all can party anyway, and I will stop by if I am able to get online. Any excuse for a party here, right???

    Have a Happy Day gals,

    Hugs, Kathy

HunkyD, Thank you for wishing us a great trip. We leave on Monday....travel all day to LA, then the 15 hr flight to AUS...won't get there till Wed am! (There is a time difference...I think 14-15 hr ahead of CST). AND how wonderful for you to wish me a Happy Birthday in Hawaiian...that is very special..thank you! OF COURSE I am hoping to check in and see how everyone is doing...guess it depends on how easy it is to find internet access; sure hope to have it at n/c in the hotels. I love coming here too....this place has evolved into such a fun, silly, caring place to be.

Just 2 happy hour drinks for me tonight...still trying to pack. Tried on tons of clothes now have to see what I can fit in the suitcase...lol. So I can't be having fun with you all at HTL.... :(     Maybe I can join you all for some fun tomorrow night. Be sure to keep Pants and Jocks happy in my absence!

    Hugs to all,

Hunky, I am not touching that comment about the warts!

Kathy, I hope you were able to fit everything in your suitcase and remember to leave that peice of lint alone! Have a wonderful birthday, we will miss you....I hope you are able to find internet access somewhere, surely they would have it at the hotels. You'll probably fly right over me on your way to LA, give a wave and a hollar! Have a super fabulous time and a safe trip.

We went to an auction yesterday. They had some old rusty barn roof tin we wanted to bid on for out Old West Town, but there wasn't enough of it Frown. So that wasted half of our day as it was an hour and a half drive out there. Today I need to finish up my house cleaning and we are painting the outside of the house since we aren't quite ready to side it. That will be next years project. Our house is a double wide modular. Must have been a repo, and was in awful condition. Was a 5 bedroom, 3 bath. Roof leaked something terrible, walls were soaked and moldy. We completely gutted it, right down to the studs and made it our own. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. New everything, roof, windows, walls, plumbing, electric, floors, ceiling, tin roof. Brand spanking new inside. Plan to make the outside something to look cabinish. But not in the budget right now!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

    Lori
