As Kathy would say, it's PAU HANA TIME!  Hope you are having a good time Kathy.  Still miss you!  Looks like there will just be a few of us here at the bar.  Junie, glad you popped in last night for a bit.  You have more energy that anyone I know.  I am sorry you have a sick dog.  I understand totally about the medication thing as our poor big girl has canine diabetes.  We have to give her two shots a day and monitor.  Hope you can get the seizures under control.  Lori, glad you have the hot dog cookin' utensils...but, that is a gas firepit I believe.  You better go back and look before you cook....LOL!  Dee, for hell sakes...get to the lounge girl.  I can't believe how good your eyes are.  Yes, I did get my tounge pierced.  I don't wear it in the pool though in case it would turn my tounge green. OK, I didn't really get my tounge pierced everyone...just in cyberville ...Tongue out   Sam, I love 21.  I just miss the old days when everyone dealt from a single deck rather than those shutes that hold fricking 5 decks or whatever.  Cool that your husband is firechief.  I can picture your children with the big asbestos gloves on or whatever!   That is hilarious.   You should post a pic if you have one.  Strolling on out to see whats going on tonight!  HunkyD

Hunk, I've been in the pool for an hour waiting on everyone else. That's me with the huge expander floatation devices. HAHA  Can't we roast weenies over a gas fire pit? I have a gas grill so I think it should be okay.(?)

Here's to Cold beer, big ears tight rears and roasting weenies!

    Hugs   Dee~

Dang Dee, sorry I missed you in the pool.  Your expanders look so natural!  LOL.  I really didn't know what you looked like.  You are probably right about cooking dogs over the fire.  Guess it should be OK...sorry...my mistake.  Party on!  HunkyD

I went on a small business day trip yesterday and I'm paying the price for it today.  My manager asked me how I was doing and I told him I was in pain.  He said - go home and rest!  Got home a little earlier today. So, here I am, drinking a glass of wine.   I was going to make dinner for me and my hubby, but I'm not as ambitious!  LOL!!!

The pic is great!  I love the pool, the fireman, the girls and the firepit!  How about some good stories to tell around the fire?  Maybe some fireworks (we sometimes light some off when we go camping in the desert).

Junie - sorry to hear about your pooch.  I hate when one of my animals isn't feeling well.  They're my babies.

I don't know if I'll stick to wine or move onto something else.  Although when I do, I regret it the next day.  We're actually having people over this weekend to hang out in our pool.  Who is going to clean the house?  My darling hubby???  LOL!  He invited these people over!  I can't even go in the pool right now and wouldn't be caught dead in a bathing suit (esp since I went from a D cup - I had implants before - to some kind of strange A/B cup).  I wouldn't even call them cups - maybe discs or hockey pucks!  HAHAHA!!!!

    Happy Labor Day girlz!!!!  :)

Hey, kitty, glad you popped in last night.  Hope you have a good time with DH friends around your pool.  Don't worry so much about the clean house. I have dust so thick that you can text in it all over the house.  I just can't keep up with it all the time.  Hope all the rest of you gals are having a great Saturday night!  We are also doing a "barbie" (sp?) tonight.  (Hi Kathy!)  Yum...it will be better than dogs on the firepit.  What a night last night.  I think I might have imbibed a little too much.  Hope I did not offend anyone!  I love all you wonderful women, and can't wait to hear from you all again.  You all are so kind to me.  Cheers, beers, and slimming mirrors!  HunkyD

Hunky - what is up with your hair??? Did the chlorine fry it? Surprised  (BTW, LOVE the pics!)

Back from Moscow and having some scotch! Slept most of my layover but there isn't all that much to do there anyway except buy stuff (and I go all the time) so I didn't miss much.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend! Cheers!

Hi gals! Just popped in for a minute as this internet connection is tooooo slow to do anything. Didn't get to read back msgs yet, but someone mentioned Junie's dog being sick??? I hope he is better now, I know how hard that is, and am hoping things have improved a lot. Saw the firepit....WOW! Awesome! Glad jaybird is back from Moscow! Having a super time...relatives were amazing and served us umpteen courses (of course also had shrimp on the barbie, and great aussie steaks!). Opened lots of Australian champagne and amazing wines....he loves his wine, so it was very good. Couldn't believe they paid about $150 for cab to pick us up and take us back....whew!!! ANyhow parents are doing well....today is Fathers Day here! Dad (almost 93) walked to harbor yesterday with us, took ferry across to zoo, and walked around zoo over 3 hrs! Mom does amazing too. Cruised around the Opera House, etc. NO....they don't say the "ChEARS" thing....even the college age kid hadn't heard of it...lol. They say "cheers" as a "goodbye". Didn't mean to write a novel here. Doing well, having fun, miss you all, and will check in when I can. Hope everyone is doing well, welcome to our newcomer...this is a fantastic place to hang out!

    Love and koala hugs,

    Kathy

Good morning ladies. Hope everyone is having and enjoying their holiday week end. Today I am doing the barbie thing for a few neighbors. Just burgars and potato salad.

Kathy, so nice to have you checking in from OZ. Sounds like you have been quite busy. So glad to hear that your parents are doing so well, especially at their age! Amazing!

Dee, I my stupor......I don't remember doing such a thing! Do you Hunky?

Jaybird, welcome home! When do we get to see some of Avery's b-day pics?

Hunky, I hear ya on the "dust bunnies"! I better get my pledge out before the company gets here. I want to know where I can get one of slimming mirrors! And would you quit flicking that tongue ring on your teeth please! (you know how the kids do that, that have theirs done) LOL!

KitCat and Junie, hope you are both enjoying company and having good times. We should put that margarita mix in the fountain KitCat. Glad to see you keep popping in.

Well I better get to dusting and making hamburger patties, and oh yeah......the tater salad.

    Big hugs, Lori

Good Afternoon everyone!  Kathy, so glad you popped in.  Sounds like you have a full agenda most days.  Glad you are having fun.  Jaybird...also wonderful to hear from you.  My hair is annoying after swimming.  I hope the chlorine doesn't damage it, as I don't have much yet to spare.  Once I got close to the fire I guess the static electricity took over.   It is getting there though.  I am going through the terrible growout stage.  At present...I tuck sides behind ears with a little help from a pomade product, and then just let the rest go free,  I don't have the curls...just a bit of wave I guess.  My gawd Dee...were you on the Colorado BullFrogs or whatever those drinks are CAZ told us about?  I do not remember streaking.  Lori doesn't either.  I just remember Lori having to pull me out of the pool with her weiner cookin stick.  I was worried she would poke my expander with it.  Kitty, your margarita sounds delicious. Hope you had a great pool party last night!   Jeeze, I am drinking again tonight.  Wish I lived closer to Lori and I would crash her barbie and get a burger and some tater salad.  Well, going to take my tounge stud out.  P.S.  Lori...I don't know where to get the skinny mirrors.  They have them in a lot of the high end department store dressing rooms.  Funny how you look pretty good in there, and then get home and look like fat girl you really are!  LOL...HunkyD

Hi, lounge ladies--having a great week-end with kids/grandbaby (but, if their dog pees just ONE more time on my carpet, I'm sending them packing!!  LOL--they'll be leaving in the morning, then we'll have to shampoo the carpet really good...)   Lots of rain while they were here, but this afternoon was lovely and spent several hours boat riding.  Got some fun videos of grandbaby (2 yrs) "swimming" in the lake.  Upped dog's medicine a bit so hoping that will do the trick, but still uneasy,  Friggin' fur babies!!!

I have a sign that hangs over the entry into our family room.....""Dust is a County Collectible"...that pretty much sums up my thoughts about house cleaning!

Glad to have Jaybird back home for a few days--but already looking forward to where your next flight will be.   Kathy--glad your visit is being so wonderful--your parents are totally amazing!  Keep in touch as you can.

Happy holiday week-end wind down to everyone....heading out to the pool to see what's going on!

    Hey hey all,

Well the party is over! Tried to have everything outside. Had everyone out, started the burgers, brought everything else out, and wouldn't ya know it....it starts to rain! Started to bring everything back in, and everyone decides to come through the patio door off my bedroom, as that is the door that goes out to the area of the yard we were in. Everyone with muddy shoes, and they were just going to trapes thru my bedroom to the kitchen/living room with their muddy shoes. NO NO NO, take your shoes off PLEASE! I don't have carpet, but still did not want all that mud! What were they thinking? I would never walk through someones house with muddy shoes. Most everyone was here by 3, ate 4 and they were all gone by 6! Lots of work over the last 2 days preparing and then it only lasted 3 hours! Then I realize last night, while on the phone with my mom, I forgot to do the baked beans!!!

Hunky, having you come over and crash my party for a burger would be ....... I can't even think of the right thing to say....... awesome, wonderful, unbelievable, a blessing, OMG, exciting, .... need I say more! Maybe it was us that had too much to drink and don't remember streaking! And a good thing I didn't poke you in the wrong place with the weinie stick, could have flooded the pool...LOL! I too have to put my hair behind my ears, but I do have the curls...big time! If I take the blow dryer to my hair, I look like I have a 70's fro. I might have to take a pic and show ya.

Junie, thinking I would rather clean the mud than the dog piddles. But glad you are enjoying the little one and having fun out on the boat. Also hoping your pooch does better with more medicine. No animals here, just my hundreds (at least it seams like that many) of hummingbirds. I just have to make sure their feeders are full, I go through sooooo much sugar when they are here. Probably 3 cups of sugar every 2 or three days!

Hoping for a relaxing day today, maybe go out for a ride on the quad! Hope everyone here can have one too!

    Luv ya all, Lori

Quick question for my lushy loungies....oooppsss, meant LUCIOUS loungies!!!

Was looking through our little liquor cabinet today and discovered a bottle of never opened Kahlua from one of our trips to Mexico several years ago......ok---if it's never been opened, is it still good??   I'm having salivating thoughts of Kahlua and cream over ice--yummy!    Also, saw several bottles of god only knows what and where did they come from and when did we get them and are they still okay if they've never been opened?????   HELP!!!!

Got kids/grandbaby/dog off today--already miss them (well, not the dog!).   Tomorrow hopefully to be a fun day.  Road trip to Sam's to stock up on stuff, but nothing perishable because, then on to casino to meet up with friends and have dinner.   Pray for some big Ka-Ching!!!!

Sam always mentions me gambling because she thinks I got her addicted to 3-card poker at a get-together in Las Vegas!!!   Hah!  I'll bet Sam's hit more casinos than I have this year!!!

You all, each and every one, are invited over this coming Sat evening.   I was informed today that we are hosting the "end-of-the-season-fish-fry"....It is a really fun, good eats time!  Everyone else will bring stuff--I don't have to do a thing...LOL--just clean the house,  find chairs/seating; scrub any mold out of toilets; dust; pick up;  you know the drill...anywheres from 10 to 30 people will show up...I'll be ready!!   Someone mentioned energy a ways back--what the hell is energy?   I am so friggin' tired; think I could sleep for at least maybe 15 minutes!!!   LOL...

Going to get my hair cut before trip for wedding.  Taking a pic of Hunky--and letting them know THAT'S what I want MY hair to look like!!!

    hugggssss and love all y'all

Here is a link of a couple of pictures of my house. You can see where everyone was coming thru my bedroom to get to kitchen after it started to rain. I also took a couple pictures of the view out the back of my house and circled 2 of my neighbors homes. Now you can see how "out in the boonies" I am.

Hunky, I always have to go back and look at your pics. I always miss something! I hadn't noticed the other gal in the pool with you or the one in the lounge chair with the beer and weinie cooker! That one could be me, I had a short blonde wig I wore during treatments. But who is that with the HUGE floatation devices!!!! LOL

Oh, Junie, I wish I could make your party but my damn broom is in for repair.  You are hilarious. I am flattered you liked my hair....it was really such a mess.  I should wear a swim cap in the pool I know, but sometimes I just get drunk and forget.  LOL.  Lori....Hell, you are out in the sticks girl.  I know there are scorpions out there...I can just feel it.  Loved all the picturs.  You have done a lot of work on your doublewide.  That's such a good feeling.  You also have mucho hair.  I didn't get the curls like you did...just a darker color that I am letting my hair dresser take care of one month at a time.  Kitten, so funny about your dog shedding another dog monthly.  I was LMAO. I will maybe dust next weekend.  Maybe!  I have one of those iRobot roombas.  I turn him loose while I am gone to work.  He does great on the hardwood floors and tile. We named him Hop Sing.  Our dog has a shit fit when it goes near her food bowl.   Headed out to the pool....need a cold beer.  Going to see who's around!  HunkyD

    I'm here for Pau Hana!

No scorpions here Hunky, at least I have never seen any! In 8 yrs, seen about 4 or 5 tarantulas and 1 rattle snake. Of course other snakes, but I leave them alone, they like to eat rats and mice! But haven't seen many of them either. Needless to say, the rattler was be-headed! Would love to see your pooch when Hop Sing comes around and you are not there, you should set up a camera!

Junie, does a week end go by where you are not entertaining???? Good grief woman! I was going to come by for some fish with Hunky, but her broom is broke, so I guess I won't be there either!

Miss you Kathy, but know you are having a good time.

Hope some others stop by for Pau Hana, I am heading out to the pool with Hunky and joining her for a few cold ones.

How do you say......Good 'ay! (Aussie language)

Junie, about your old liquors. Although I don't have a clue, nor do I care for Kahlua, you could try it someone else! If they don't get sick...........then its good! Surprised  (J/K of course)

Lori, good on ya!  Glad you popped in.  I'm glad about your report on the lack of scorpions in your backyard, although, a tarantula would make me pee my pants also.  We were playing golf at a course in Saint George, UT once and one of those furry suckers was on the green.  I just shudder thinking about it.  We have black widows and brown recluse here.  I am totally paranoid of them.  Pants, bring Lori and kitty a drink please!  Guess I better mapquest how far it is to Junies house.  Is it Arkansas?  XXOO  HunkyD

Hi ladies! Pau Hana time for you (it is after 8 pm CST Tuesday  night ), BUT it is after 11 am Wednesday morning here in OZ! Finally found a decent rate for 24 hr internet at this hotel, so trying to play catch up. Didn't get to see Lori's pictures...didn't come through here??? Sounds like everyone had a great holiday, and lots of food and guests! Junie, I love Kahlua, and I think you can use it when it is even 20 yrs old! Have you tried a "tootsie roll"? It is Kahlua and OJ...not quite half and half..I forget the amounts...you can experiment (umm....fun!). Really tastes like a tootsie roll when you get the amount right. Hope your doggie is better, and you got all the other doggie leftovers shampooed out! You all are a riot...had to read over quickly, but will have to reread everything when we get home. In Melbourne now, but cold and windy. My dad got sick last night with a cold, so is staying in today, and of course I am worried sick. Got to get him well! Also we are supposed to fly to Adelaide in 4 days, and I know they don't like anyone to fly sick anymore....lots of  swine flu worries. They are just starting their spring here. Well fellow barflys, got to go and get ready for lunch....keep up all the fun, and keep  the tattie tenders on their toes (or whatever!). New word..."gobsmacked"...like when you are really shocked, excited, etc. As in.."I was really gobsmacked". They shorten everything too...McDonalds is "Mackies", and the university is "uni"...as in "I went to uni".

Enjoy your Pau Hana! G'day mates,

    Kathy

    Howdy Y'all,
I have been lurking around not talking much, but glad to hear all of you are doing well and having fun :) Just so much drama going on here, plus I cannot seem to snap outta this stupid depression. My daughter who is a pediatric nurse, called me yesterday and told me she has been exposed to the HIN1 flu, so now is on Tamiflu and had the flu shots. My car broke down and my roof leaked during the last rain we had. Sooooo, I am feeling pretty crappy and just overwhelmed with it all. I went to talk to a couselor and she actually was falling asleep while I was talking to her, MAN, I must be totally boring. I know it sounds funny and it kind of was, but it also pissed me off. Well enuf of me raining on all of y'alls parade, thanks for letting me vent. Cya at the lounge as soon as my stoopid car gets fixed. Peace and hugs to all,
    Dee~

Kathy, you don't know how happy I am that you even take the time to check in with us and let us know about the fab time you are having. I am GOBSMACKED! I sure hope dad gets well soon and this doesn't linger. Seems the older we get, the harder it is to get well.

Dee, we ought to just tie you up and spank you, or just tie ya up to keep you here. Bring all the drama you want, and vent all you want.....then we will have Pants & Jocks bring you all the drinks you want and pamper you in a way that will make you forget about all the crap! How's that sound? All kidding aside, I am so sorry. It does sound like you have a lot on your plate all at once. But I must admit, that IS funny about the counselor. I think I'd be looking for a new one. Now if the new one were to fall asleep..........then I would begin to wonder. Now I do hope your daughter does not get that nasty flu, you are able to fix "stoopid car" and that the roof is fixable.

Junie must still be cleaning up doggie doo doos! And getting ready for the next big event. That, or she has had too many ML's!    LOL

Hunky, the taranchula I saw, I dropped a huge rock on it. (certainly was not going to stomp on it) and after I found out that they can't kill you, I just watch them for a bit and then leave them alone. Now you spiders are deadly, aren't they? Yes, our Miss Junie is in Arkansas, but I am not sure which part. I am sure she has said, but I dont recall. Then we have Miss KitCat right in the middle of you and I.

Kit, since you are in Vegas, are you meeting up with the gals that are having the ta ta reunion there?

We are heading back down to Phx tomorrow. Dr appt and have some things to check on and do at the warehouse.

    Later, Lori

Dee, sorry for all your problems.  Things will settle down.  Remember, you have a couple tanks full of saline causing you pain, along with a lot of other stress.  The painful expanders alone are enough to make a person depressed or pissy.   Hell, if my broom was working, I would loan it to ya. No need to worry about rainy parades with me either.  At times I feel like the Grand Marshal of rainy parades.  This is the place to let it out for sure.   Hope your sister can skirt around the worst of the flu.  Thankfully, she got her shots.  I pray for her speedy recovery.   Kathy, also hope your pops is doing better.  So hard to see loved ones sick.  Glad you are able to check in.   Heading out for a drink!  HunkyD

    GRRR!

Okay I am total hexed. After work today, I was mowing the lawn on the riding mower, I was trying to maneuver between my neighbors fence a bush and electrical box. I hit the bush and when I turned the wheel to straighten out I ran into my neighbors fence causing my wheel to fold all the way to the left, now it wont turn right at all. UGH! Can you imagine mowing an acre only making left turns? I need to be rolled up in bubble wrap and placed securely in a closet somewhere.

Dee,  your stories are so funny, but sound frustrating at the same time.  I was thinking that if all you could make is left turns, then it's like you're in a NASCAR race.  LOL!

Hunky, a jagerbomb sounds good.  We have some jager in the freezer!  yummm..

Goldie, I am trying to get the ta ta gals to attend a Paint the Square Pink event for Susan G Komen.  It's the same time that they're in town.  Would be fun.  Wine pairings???  Who can turn that down?? LOL!

So, tonight I got home from my 2nd expander fill.  Wasn't as bad as the first fill.  I told my PS that I came for his torture treatment today!  He laughed!  So, I felt like having wine.  I'm almost completely out of wine - yikes (I have a bar that fills 18 bottles).  So, I attempt to open a bottle of Syrah.  I have one of those fancy openers.  I couldn't get the cork out and almost panicked - esp since I have limited mobility today.  Got it opened and didn't have to call 911!  LOL!!

See you all at the lounge.  Did anyone turn on the tunes???
