Hi everyone 😀 We’re spending this week at our cabin with friends, they’re digging trenches and installing the electrical, I’m watching.
Today’s DOTD was a strawberry milkshake from the drug store in town, tomorrow will be a fruity sangria in my new wine glass. Here’s some pics of the wildlife we saw on our was back up the mountain (donkeys, deer and wild turkeys)

Eye surgery went well. Will write more tomorrow 🦃

Hi friends- happy Thanksgiving. Oh what a few interesting days this has been!
I had my eye surgery early yesterday as planned and everything went well. I stayed at the hotel across the street from the surgery center and eye doctor's office for ease with rides (did this in Sept), and it worked pretty well again for the most part. My surgery was early yesterday, and I was back to the hotel by 8 a.m. Easy peasy. My friend went and got us some breakfast at a place nearby, and then she left for awhile and I slept. I had some CRAZY sedation dreams, but slept really well.
The weather people have been forecasting a snow storm for Thanksgiving, starting last night. It started snowing around 7 p.m. and went all night long and is just starting to ease up. Although the hotel had been quiet, it got pretty noisy with a lot of travelers rolling in that were probably coming off the road with the heavy snow that set in and roads that became pretty treacherous. We don't have a lot of snow plows here, so storms like this can cripple the city and the state. A less restful evening, and then the cable went out right before bed. So the hotel was feeling like a place I was going to be ready to leave today.
I was up early and out to check on some things with the snow, car, etc. and found there was a good six inches on the ground and it was still coming down. Now here in NM, we get snow in the valley (more so in the mountains) and will say I have never seen a snow storm like this in November, including at Thanksgiving time. This is a series of storms coming off the west coast that created a "bombogenesis" which is a cyclone and comes with loads of moisture. Denver and other areas further north are getting feet of snow.
I got a call about an hour before my follow up that they were closing the office today due to weather, so now have an apt for Sat am for my follow up. With that, I then had to figure out if and when I might get home (about a 30 min ride across town, but with this much snow and lack of plows, all very iffy). I finally saw a window at 11 a.m. where the precip stopped and loaded up, checked out and made it home okay. Roads were wet and slushy, but it was above freezing by then and felt like I could do it. As I drove in to the hood, the snow started coming down again pretty heavily. I made it! I had to laugh because of the irony, I planned for everything except a blizzard. It's going to be "weathery" tonight into tomorrow but I am staying home until Sat when I need to go out for my follow up and some other apts.
Relaxing at home now and plan to have some tasty food from Whole Foods for my dinner today. Got a few invites but not up to socializing today right after surgery. Watching the National Dog show, which is always fun because there are so many kinds of cool dogs I don't know about. I work with a woman who has a dog in the show (it's in the working dog category but cannot remember the breed name). Her dog wins a lot of shows and hope it wins at least the best in category.
My vision is amazing today and keeping up with my eye drops and natural tears in between, and grateful to be on the other side of this. Three follow ups to do between this weekend and in to December. Then I will be good on any more eye stuff until my annual check up next fall. Janky, you and a few others are up next!
Will write more again soon. I hope everyone is having a nice day!

JCS, I'm hoping the SE's are easier than what Xeloda is, I'm told the worse is the big D, but after a month should subside. Onc is starting me out at a low dose. Squash casserole, I'm interested.
Sandy, I have read about those USB ports being dangereous to use. They say to use your plug and plug that it in instead of using the USB port. Glad you got it all fixed.
Baby girl, that shake looks yummy and I love your wine "mermaid" glass. I have a freind in Michigan, she lives out in the coutry and backs up to some woods, and always has deer, and turkey in her yard.
Jazzy, glad to have that surgery done, and done well. As for weather, we got absolutely NOTHING. I can't imagine the I-40 being closed from Winslow all the way to Kingman. Folks, that almost the entire width of state. And Phoenix is in a panic cuz it's raining!
We had a wonderful time at our doctors house, lots people and a ton of food. Well, had someone call me in regards to my meds, to let me know the costs. I'm responsible for 5%, well guess what, 5% is like $640.00, then come January when you start your deductable all over, I'm responsible for 20%, do your math people, that's over $2500.00. Who the hell can afford that! He said there are no grants available but will contact manufacture to see if they will help.

Good morning ladies- I slept so well and deeply last night after getting back home and into my own bed. Kicking those ruby heels to just say, no place like home. I got a nap in yesterday afternoon, and then went to bed early for a really good deep sleep. Waking up to cold rain today and supposed to be like this all day. I am staying in and doing some work for my client site and also working on some home stuff. I love having three more days for whatever I need to do (nap, get my house in order, etc.)
I wanted to also say thanks to all of you for being in my pocket and for the good wishes on my second cataract surgery. I am being diligent with my drops and careful with everything else. I am loving my new vision and glad to be on the other side of this. Few follow ups to do in the next month and then onward we go.
Goldie- I am amazed that all this moisture missed you! I did not hear I-40 was closed that far, but know it often closes east and west of here in the winter with the storms. I was just looking at the NM AZ area radar and hoping you might get some of this today (unless you are having to drive). Your holiday sounded really nice yesterday, good to hear!
Cami- how did that hair cut and color come out? Did you guys have an easy day yesterday? How is Joey?
Ill- so good to hear you are out working on your property to be ready to relocate there for the longer term. How is the weather your way? Are you getting any of this big moisture swath?
Teka- good to hear you had a nice early Thanksgiving with the family. How is the weather in north country?
Chi- thinking of you in London town and wondering if you will see any plays? Do you visit Harrods too?
NM- how was your holiday friend? Did Sadie get some turkey?
Mistyeyes- how was your holiday friend?
Happy holidays to the lurkers here. I still think of the Karen's, Celia C, etc. and others who come here for the fun. And we are fun!
Wishing everyone a good continuation of the holiday weekend with whatever you are doing, including black friday shopping if you do that. Wishing you good deals if you brave the crazies!

Good Black Friday Morning to all! No shopping for me although I need to hit the grocery store. Had a great day yesterday. The hike was wonderful. I love being outdoors in nature with all the sensory input. Read an article the other day how being in nature helps with depression. I totally agree! Dinner was great with a lively three way conversation.
The first pic is the cypress knees in the swamp. Second is my DH walking on the boardwalk. The ground was soggy so we were happy for the boardwalk. We decided this needs to be a family tradition.
Will spend the weekend catching up on chores, watching football and making some soup to freeze. I have eaten through most of my freezer meals and need to make more. Also going to the mountains with my girlfriends next weekend. May even start some Christmas decorating. Hope everyone has something to look forward to

Mornin' ladies,
LORI that's HORRIBLE to actually charge that much for meds that are so needed. U know one of my meds was like 1500.00 <about> and no way could I afford it and told the pharmacist and he said lets see if we can work this out with the insurance Co. He called me and it ended up being 60.00 I don't know what happened but u know damn well those meds can be a lot cheaper and yet they go for the juggler when they can and of course there is no generic. WOW. But u do sound like u had a good day yesterday, glad to hear that.
Jazzy so glad ur healing well. But that much snow??? I know u get snow but that's more than I ever remember by you. So far we're having rain <turning into snow, maybe>. They're making it sound like a lot starting this weekend, but who knows. I think Sandy is supposed to come back this weekend so hoping the snow isn't to bad.
Oh jeez, I started this hours ago and fell asleep.
LUBS U ALL

Goldie- I know a few people who have had to go through some of the pharma plans for Ibrance treatments because their insurance would not cover it or not enough of it. This is where healthcare is such a disaster for anyone with a chronic illness. The out of pockets are not do-able. Can you petition the insurance company for help?
I know you like me do ACA plans off the market and every year, the deductible and out of pocket go up, up, up. I signed up for another plan for next year and the costs are going up again after dropping this past year. I have used my insurance ALOT this year with all the eye stuff, extra medical stuff around my yearly bc check up, etc. and thankful I can afford to buy it. Sending you big hugs on this.
I saw your note on FB you are getting snow and thought you might be getting moisture today based on what I saw on the radar. It is sunny here right now, but do see rain is coming again in a few hours in a big way. My sister told me they got hail in Southern CA today and it is snowing between there and Las Vegas? Strange weather this weekend. More rain next week, as I hear it.
Cami- well the snow is almost gone now with the rain and also the warming temps. Usually it sublimates here (evaporates from solid to the atmosphere) in this dry climate, but today it is just melting. Good for our dry climate here, but lots of moisture all at once.

Jazzy, I do have someone working on it for me. He did say there were no grants, so now we will go through manufacture. Certainly they would be willing to take what the insurance will give them as opposed to nothing....you would think!

NM - I hope that you found a place in such short notice for Thanksgiving dinner and had a great time with your mom and brother. The place where I bought the blueberry sangria has a facebook page : Cavallo Estate Winery - I have never been to their place, I bought my bottle at a fund raiser event for breast cancer. You sure are busy at work! It should make things better getting rid of the bad element.
Jazzy - So glad that your eye surgery went well, it must feel good to have that behind you. I feel bad for your sister, it looks like she will have a hard time for a while, its hard to watch family go through rough times and not much you can do to help.
Goldi - Saying a prayer for you and the medicine prices are outrageous. I think that the manufacture will help you. Sounds like a lovely Thanksgiving dinner.
Cami-Were you able to survive 2 dinners? I hope you had a great time at both of them.
Minus two - good luck on your upcoming eye surgery. I bet you will be glad when its done.
JSC - I love the pictures, looks so peaceful.
Illimae - I love your pictures, you always have the most photogenic drinks. The wine glass is super! The scenery of the animals must be so peaceful to watch.
I made dinner here and had my kids, grandchildren and my parents live close to me, so my mom comes and takes dinner home to my dad. She visits a bit and then goes and eats with him. I know I am very lucky to have my family living so close, but sometimes it can be really annoying and stressful. I have to watch my 2 yr old grandson next week, his parents are going on a cruise. I am trying to get everything done at the house, I know I won't have the energy when he is here, I have to take him to daycare on my way to work so I will have to do better getting up and dressed. I think I must have that ADD that everyone thinks there kids have, I get distracted so easily. I am looking forward to shopping this Sunday with my mom and two sisters. I am rambling, so will catch up with you all .
Hello to all I missed.

Happy Black Friday all! I have been with the little ones this week - so busy and exhausting, but enjoyable and know that great memories have been made!! Unfortunately my 4 year old grandson woke up with a tummy bug and threw up all morning before heading to his other Grandma's house, poor little guy was so woebegone I am off to Mexico Sunday evening, so once again will not be around much till after December 11th, though I will be thinking of everyone and sending all my great weather, and good vibrations to all.
jazzy - so glad you can 'see clearly' now! What a treat for sure! Minustwo is next in December, and I am not far behind January 28!
goldie - what meds are you switching to? Hopefully this is it!!
NM - I am sending extra rubs Sadie's way as I will not be around I am glad you are enjoying your work, it does sound rewarding!

illi - nice to see you popping in!
cami - keep your kitties coming!
JCS - I love those cypress knees, not sure if Georgia has them but I will be looking into them.
Well I am off now, hopefully will have a chance to pop in Sunday, if not, stay warm, well and laugh lots! Cheers! Janice

Came out the “other side” of the hacking. Turned out that AT&T has a separate “pop” server for the UK (regardless of who the mail provider is); and once I found out the port #s and added them into a “new account” in AppleMail all returned to normal. Still & all, using my AT&T cellular for internet—even my iPhone as a hotspot for my iPad Pro (not compatible with Verizon’s Day Pass in the UK).
Want to assure everyone here we’re fine. We flipped a coin today as to whether to visit the Tate Modern or Westminster Abbey, and the latter won (last time we were there was on a city tour, pretty perfunctory). When we emerged from the tube station, we encountered a gigantic anti-Brexit/anti-Tory/pro-environment protest march—exuberant & noisy, but typically English in its orderliness. Still & all, it added 20 minutes to our wait to get in, what with weaving around it to be able to cross streets w/o getting swept up in it. (Made me nostalgic for my college days). Westminster was moving and fascinating, especially with the free multimedia self-guided tour. We did some serious tchotchke shopping, including tree ornaments for Gordy & Leslie’s first tree together (got a Corgi in a Santa hat that looks like their new little terrier mix). Bob got a book called “Who’s Buried Where in Britain?” which came in handy after we visited St Paul’s cathedral yesterday, including the crypts. (He briefly considered parking himself in front of the Paddington Bear display in the gift shop, and asking a docent—in front of a little kid—in a loud voice where Paddington Bear was buried. Now you know Gordy gets his black humor from both of us).
En route back to the tube I got a text from my cousin in NY asking if we were okay because she’d heard of some trouble in London. Thinking she meant the protest, I tapped “Yes” on my AppleWatch’s text app and headed back to Mayfair. We popped into a cafe for a late light lunch & drinks, and I pulled up my AppleNews app on my phone. Yikes—first I’d heard of the terrorist stabbing attack on London Bridge! Here‘s the kicker: had the coin we flipped come up “tails” and we’d chosen to visit the Tate instead, guess what bus we’d have been taking at the time of the attack? (!!!)
We didn’t get to see everything we wanted to, due to jet lag, rain, fatigue and Internet Hell. But Wednesday we took the Big Bus tour for orientation. Thurs. we went through St. Paul’s by day and saw Sir Ian McKellen’s one-man show—sixth row center! He was hilarious, touching and moving. Second act he brought out all of Shakespeare’s plays and challenged the audience to name some—and for each he had either an anecdote, wicked quip or amazing monologue from memory. Can’t believe he’s 80. And no hiding out in his dressing room, either—during intermission and after the show he circulated among us shaking hands and soliciting donations for his favorite theater charities, educational programs, and the retired-actors’ home. (Yes, I shook his hand. No, I didn’t get his autograph—the Playbill cost extra).
DOTD time. Must confess I’ve been a bit of a reprobate on the vino front—but this IS vacation. Among other things was Veuve Clicquot champagne—in an actual glass, not plastic, flute—in the theater lobby bar for less than we pay in most restaurants back home. (Yes, we could take it to our seats). Tonight, as our last dinner, we had the tasting menu in the hotel’s restaurant—with wine pairings, about half of what we’d pay for the equivalent in NYC or even Chicago. Here were the wines: with the starter of tricolor beetroot, a Loire rose of cinsault & gamay; with the fish course (sea bass & orzo), a Macon (white Burgundy, Chardonnay); with grilled pheasant, a duo of a NZ Pinot noir and a Nero d’Avola from the Mt. Etna region. Cheese course was accompanied by a Bual Madeira, and dessert with a late-harvest Grenache from Provence, with a chaser of a 6 “puttonyos” Tokaj (from Hungary—the more puttonyos, the sweeter. Sweetest I’d ever had before this was a 5-er in Budapest).
Fading fast, ladies—breakfast early, finish packing, leave by noon to be on time for our 3:30 flight. What with today’s terrorist attack, Airport Security Theater is gonna be a fustercluck—Global Entry & Fast Track notwithstanding. Economy Comfort’s gonna be a letdown after Business Class on the way over (the latter was actually cheaper than Economy Comfort from ORD, but twice the price going home), but sleep in-flight’s not as critical, since we land 6:30 CST and probably hit our doorstep no later than 8pm. But it’s hit the ground running: as soon as we get home and show the kitties some love, I have to do my assignment for the Acoustic Guitar Project: there’s a Voyage-Air guitar making the rounds; I have to autograph it, take a photo with it, run through the chords for the song it inspires, record the song and then upload a short video about how I wrote it, and arrange to get it to the last performer in the round. (The concert will be Dec. 12 at 7 pm at the Society of Audio Engineers in River North—I believe it’s free, but don’t quote me).
And of course, resume Bar Show rehearsals Sunday morning, with our one & only chance to work with the pit band and mics before our Tuesday night tech run. (Bandleader took pity on me—my solo number doesn’t rehearse till 10:30 am, whereas the show’s stars have to be there by 9:30). Then after lunch, another dress rehearsal (I did a dry run last Sunday and the director approved my costumes) till 6pm.
See you gals on the flip side. Lori, I hope the mfrs. can give you some coupons (if you’re not yet on Medicare you might be able to get a deep discount, perhaps even free). Jazzy, congrats on the new eyesight! Cami, they promised to hold off the snow till Sunday, and only in the south suburbs at that. (Of course, a Lake Shore flood watch till then, but we’re coming home from O’Hare, not Midway). And no snow during the rest of the week, up through the 3-night run of the show (traditionally, we’d had either a snowmageddon, deep freeze or both).

Wow ChiSandy! That is one tight schedule! I am glad that you are getting some sight seeing in and glad that you weren't hacked! I am sure you will give a great performance. Hope you have some time to rest before show time.

We now have electricity at the cabin, yay! This is a huge step for finishing the build. We also postponed thanksgiving since we we’re gone, so tomorrow is our day and we celebrate with friends instead of family. DH is making me a special cocktail he found, I’ll post a pic. Anyway, tired from the 9 hour drive home, nighty night

Misty, I hope that 2 year old doesn't wear you out too much, wish I had one to watch!
Janky, you too. I'm jealous of anyone with grands! Have a great time in Mexico and be safe. I'll be on Verzenio/Faslodex/Xgeva. I've been on the Xgeva for quite some time.
Sandy, sounds like you are doing lots on your vacation. I am on Medicare, have been since stage IV diagnosis, I also have Humana.
Baby Girl, woooo hoooo for electric. Can't wait to see the new cocktail and how sweet of your DH to do that.
We got another 2" or more of snow last night It's super wet out there, glad we dont' have to go anywhere. My neighbor was telling me she had to have propane brought in next week. I told her those trucks are heavy and leave big ruts in the road that can't be repaired. She just moved up here in her brother's place about a month ago. And said she didn't mean to come up here and ruin our mountain. Geeze! Plus, it's dangerous for the driver. Our road is clay and it just coats on your tires and gets as slick as ice. Might put up our little tree today, haven't in several years, but DH wants to this year. Here is a picture from yesterday of our wet snow, and what it has done to our trees.
This is the same tree, so you can see how weighed down it is.

Good morning everyone- just wanted to check in this morning before I head to my eye apt then some other errands. The last of the storms came through here yesterday with a vengence, including tons of rain and really high winds. Most of the snow out front is gone now, still some in the back yard that will probably linger for a bit with a bit less sunlight. I still have some final leaf clean up to do this weekend, but will wait for things to dry out a bit more (and the dumpster to get emptied this morning too). Enjoying having this nice long weekend to rest, recover, etc.
I did work four hours yesterday from home to get caught up from a bunch of meetings on Tuesday and to make my re-entry better next week. I plan to confirm with them next week I am planning to leave end of December as originally planned. Eye surgery done, house about to be paid off, ready for better work for better people!
So here we go right in to the Xmas holiday season. I started writing out a few Xmas cards this morning and will pop those in the mail and do a few each day. Keeping things simple this year.
ChiSandy- I have been thinking about you hearing about the terrorist thing at the bridge yesterday and wanted to check in today to see if you are okay. Thanks for letting us know you ARE okay. So glad you were not in that area where things happened. Sir Ian McKellan in person too, how marvelous! I hope that your flight back goes easily and you don't run in to weather coming in to Chicago. Hope you get rested and back on your time zone easily.
Goldie- I was glad to see you got some moisture finally. The snow comes hard and fast and is gone in a snap as the sun comes out and things warm up. It was really pretty here on Thanksgiving morning.
Ill- yay for electricity! Enjoy your belated T-day celebration.
Will let you know how the eye doctor follow up goes today. I know you upcoming cataract folks want to know!

Jazzy, we got a couple more inches last night. It's going to be one muddy mess out here!

Sandy - Wow! You know how to find the fun everywhere you go! Glad the hacking thing is worked out. Drinking during a vacation is not really drinking, right?! When do you get to sleep during December?
Jazzy and Goldie - That weather is something. Where will all the rain/snow melt go? Are there reservoirs so you can keep it until the summer? Really crazy weather anymore.
Illimae- It would be so fun to have a cabin to escape to. And electricity is important! Enjoy your special DOTD.
It is college football Saturday. I hope to get a start on the Christmas decorating. Will walk this AM, then strip the beds. Have a few other house chores before my afternoon rest break. Plan on pan searing some salmon for dinner and relaxing with a glass of Pinot Grigio. It is supposed to rain tomorrow. That will help me get on the decorating!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Saturday! Boy am I glad to have a couple of days off. Sadie and I had a lovely sleep in this ayem, and expect to have another one tomorrow. I ended up working until 7 peeyem last night as the night shift nurse called out and the Assistant Director of Nurses was going to have to work the overnight after working most of the day. At least that gave her a few hours off in between for a nap and some quiet time. I'll be working a 12 hour shift Christmas day, and that will be the last 12 hour shift. Those are just too much for me. I'll work 8 hours covering and that will have to be enough help from me. I'm also starting to get a little behind in my own work and need to get that caught back up. Plus Christmas season with all the attendant Secret Santa and parties requiring gifts and such. Going to try to do all my Christmas shopping today, online and get it over with. And we've gotten a good covering of snow, about a food of the really heavy, wet stuff, that has a nice frozen crust on top, and is just miserable to try to move, and I need to get that mess cleaned off the back deck, too. Fortunately, I have 2 whole days here at home to get that stuff caught up with and then I'll feel more organized. Poor Sadie doesn't know when I'm coming or going anymore. The bedroom light went on at 5:15 this ayem, she nudged me with her (very cold) nose and "huffed?" at me. I reached over and turned off the light and told her it was a sleep in day, she licked my cheek, and snuggled back down for more sleep. Nothing like a warm furbaby to cuddle up to in a chilly bedroom!
Cammy Cat--I can just hear that little kitty roaring!I thought the mashed potato martini was pretty bizarre, too. Sounds like the hair challenge is hitting you and Les pretty hard! Must be not fun to deal with.
Librarian--Yikes, not feeling well and having a disagreement with DH is not a good combo. It is funny how he wants to protect you but has some blind areas about that very thing! It can be a worry about how some people will cope without their partners. Sometimes it's downright scary.
Chi--glad you arrived safely and comfortably!Enjoy your trip! Neat info about the name! Good lord, you really have been targeted by the hackers, haven't you? I was reading somewhere recently that using wall adapters is better than USB ports for charging for just that reason, particularly in airports and hotels/motels. What a pain in the posterior for you while on vacay!
Jazzy--We got a lovely Thanksgiving day snow storm. Rain, sleet, freezing rain, heavy wet snow, more slush, just yuck. All 1 1/5 feet of it!
Goldie--Hoping to get re-organized here at home today to the point of being able to do some cooking tomorrow, and plan to set up some freezer meals. If that doesn't work out there is a place online I can order frozen meals that are quite tasty AND relatively healthy tohave on hand. I'm alsoplanning on dialing back on the helping out next week. It's going to be hard to stick to with the Director of Nurses out taking care of her mother after a bad fall. Hopefully she'll be back next week, but we'll need to wait and see. I'm not so happy about the scan and lab reports, but I think you are taking the right road, and trying not to wallow in depression or anger. Some is normal, don't cut it off totally, but don't let it run your life, either. Hopefully the new med regimen will effective for a long time.
Cammy--my Thanksgiving was pretty quiet, Sadie and I sat and watched the snow and rain and stuff fall from the sky. I totally vegged, all day. And it felt very good! The Winter Sour sounds much better than the mashed potato martini!I think I made a record with that recipe--NO ONE in the HTL liked it!;)
Chi--glad you got the e-mail straightened out. What a royal pain that must be for you!
Teka--I love Thanksgiving leftovers! And I'm sure the turkeys love Vegetarians, too!
Librarian-sounds like your holiday is working out well! Glad you are feeling better.
Illi--looks like a fun place to be! The milkshake looks yummy and the wine glass is just too fun!
Jazzy--glad to hear the surgery went well, Take care and recover carefully!
Cammy Cat--Sadie likes the Thanksgiving Cat!
Jazzy--I heard about the bombogenesis storm on the local weather report, didn't realize you were in the middle of it! I remember getting a couple of them here in the last few years, they can be pretty intense and devastating. Glad you got home safely.
Goldie--Yikes, that cost is outrageous! So much for insurance actually helping anyone.
Jazzy--so glad the cataract surgeries went well foryou and you are enjoying clearer sight. Good for you being diligent with the drops and follow up!Sadie and I haven't gotten our turkey yet, I'm planning to pick up either a small turkey or a turkey breast to cook off for sandwiches. It was snowing and freezing raining so badly that none of us when out Thanksgiving day. But that's ok, I was glad to not have to go out and be able to nap and lounge and generally recover from the 12 hour shift the day before.
Librarian--I'm looking forward to the family Christmas celebration in a couple of weeks. And getting some freezer meals in place!
Love the Cat memes!
LOL at the sleeping tot and pup!
Misty--Our Thanksgiving day dinner got snowed out, which was fine with me cuz I was tired!I'll check out the winerylink, thanks for sharing! Nothing wrong with a little bit of rambling, hope you have a great shopping trip!
Janky--sorry about the sick little one. Never fun. Have a great trip, can't wait to see pics! I've loaded up Sadie's belly rub account in your name to cover for the next couple of weeks.
Chi--My goodness, what a lot of excitement you walked into! Glad it was orderly. Exuberant and noisy is ok if it's also orderly. The ornament you found sounds perfect for Gordy and Leslie. I can imagine your DH asking for Paddington Bear's crypt site! Wow, close call on the London Bridge incident! Someone was looking out for you on that coin toss. That guitar project sounds pretty intense and interesting. Hoping the rehearsals and shows go well!
Illi--HOORAY for elctricity! It truly is a convenience.
Goldie--that is one very weighed down tree! I hope you don't lose any limbs. Do you still have power or do you depend on a genny in this kind of mess?
Jazzy--Sounds like you have a solid end-of-year plan, good for you! The older I get the more I like life to be simple. Must be an age thing.
Librarian--Enjoy the college football games. And the Christmas decorating.

Mornin ladies,
