Hey, don't be starting without me.  Just got back from my walk and we are having internet connection problems.  Seems my TV keeps wanting to hog my bandwidth so I yanked the tv cable and put my wireless modem in front of it.  Am going to have to get the cable guys out here but I really don't know when....no time off work for me this week except for appt tomorrow.  Have a doc appt at 11:00 and I plan to have a few drinks anyway tonight.  BP was lower this morning but after this internet problem I think it might be a little higher tonight.  I will take it later after a few drinks.  I think my expander is turning more.  It needs replaced.  Speaking of expanders, someone please check Dees ID.  I am not sure if she is old enough to be in the lounge.  For shit sakes Dee, you look like you are just graduating high school.  Good luck with your 900mL fill tonight.  Lori, you are just adorable also.  I think your hair looks great.  I know you don't like to spend a lot of time on it.  I don't either.  Your pic with brother is great, and what a beautiful baby!  Glad you had a great time.  Now I want a percotini!  Hold the olive please.  Junie, check in girl.  CAZ...hope your trip was fun.  Can't remember how long you were supposed to be gone.  Jaybird, hope your new bathroom is fab and you can sit and soak in a beautiful tub with drink of choice.  Kitty, how did the pink square thing go?  Stories paleeze!  Kathy, hope you are back in full swing after the time warp!  LOL.  OK, I have yapped long enough...gawd...you would think I just got internet service!  LOL....XXXOOO  HunkyD

I'm baaaaccckkk.........my very first thought after reading and trying to catch up was to slap Goldie's hand for trying to nab one of my MLs--but then, had to laugh--there is endless ML here...grab away, Lori.   But, am really peeved that when I grabbed for my flask at one of my meltdowns during the festivities, it was EMPTY...I had several "get me out of here" moments.  I'll share the worst one with you all.   For some reason, dear step-dau decided to have the wedding pictures taken prior to the ceremony--at a different location than the ceremony.   It was a total fiasco.   We showed up, after driving around and around and getting lost--big art festival going on and lots of through streets closed...found the place; finally just pulled in and parked where we shouldn't because the parking garage was closed which would have provided easy access to the area where she wanted to have the pics taken.    Walked forever to join the group, only to find out that the photographer was going to take the pics on the OPPOSITE side of the building.   Not a big deal--if the building hadn't closed for the day so couldn't just walk straight through to the other side (huuuuuge art museum that the building alone covers several city blocks....)    soooo, we all walk forever to get to the end of the building and walk forever to go around the side of the building, only to discover that you then had to WaLK down 2 flights of stairs to get to the other side.  Not a problem--I could get down all those stairs, but NO WaY could I get back up them.   and, groom's mom is in worse physical shape than I and I could see she was totally stressed--so, I piped up first and said--"I'm so sorry, but I cannot do this.   "There is no way I can nor will I do this..."   She was so relieved that I took the heat off her........so, father of the bride (DH) and I and groom's mom and dad take the long hike back to our cars to drive to the park for the ceremony.   DH and I got turned around and lost and we drove forever in circles, it seems, and we were at each other's throats after a few minutes...wasn't pretty.   and, I had to pee so bad I thought I might throw up--couldn't find a filling station or anyplace to pull into........FINaLLY found the park and got parked.  We were both so angry at each other by then--I had lots of things I wanted to say, but FIRST I had to pee, so I grabbed a big plastic cup and climbed in the back seat of our van...[I have peeing in a cup in the car down to a science because when I have to go I have to go NOW...when we're on one of our many road trips a real bathroom isn't always convenient.  It drives my DH nuts, but he appreciates how quick the stops are compared to pulling off the highway and finding a filling station--but, he always gives me a hard time...]    However, have never had to do it in a long dress and pantyhose with people next to the van--but it was an EMERGENCY.   Don't ask me how, but I managed to get that skirt pulled up, the pantyhose down, peed in that cup, and nowhere else, managed to get all pulled up, straightened out, and climbed out and walked over and emptied cup in the grass.   I felt soooooo much better.    When I walked back to the van to put the cup back inside DH grabbed the cup and climbed in the van--I am so proud of him--somehow, tuxedo and all, he managed to sit in the back of the van, with no piror pee training and use the pee cup.  [he does NOT remember this, but it is a true story]    after that, we were good to go.

The wedding was lovely; rain held off; my dress was fantabulous;  aND, I am so glad it is over and I am back home.   Probably a blessing in disguise that you all emptied my flask before I could...

missed you guys and glad to be back in touch.   Lots more to jabber about but am heading out to the pool with another bucket of icy MLs to just veg, get a massage, and enjoy...

gigantic huggggsssss to everyone--see some new names--BIG welcome...

ohhh, need to toss out my thoughts for a get-together.....way long ago,  as a result of this drinker's thread there was a meet up in Las Vegas.   It was so much fun.   I would also like to throw out Tunica as an alternate--can fly into Memphis from almost anywhere and take a shuttle to Tunica, if too far away to drive.

hushing up now because too tired to type any more.....love all y'all.....

Hunky, I was so glad to get up and find you were here last night. Such a good girl doing your walks. I hope you come back with good news from the dr appt. And I totally agree with you about Dee. Well, you asked for stories.....Junie provided! Oh boy did she ever! I would be willing to bet that we have all had "pee in the cup" moments, at one time or another. Sounds like you got some exercise too June! And glad it didn't rain.

We asked our wedding planner what we do if it rains and she said they always predict rain and it usually only lasts 5-15 minutes and in 50 weddings probably only had one that was rained out and that was in the winter months, so I am keeping my fingers crossed and thinking it will be just fine.

Oh...and Junie....thanks for sharing your ML's with me and not slapping my hand!

Here's to peeing in cups. Just don't grab the wrong one to drink out of.....LOL!

Hey Junie welcome back, glad you had a pee-pickin' good time :)

Warning! I am about to start whining: I was sick again late last night with another gall bladder attack. Went into work and had to leave to see the doc. They are sending me to a Gastro doctor to get some testing. Why can't they just take this thing out? I have been sick on and off for almost two years with the darn thing!  I am home feeling like crud and sorry for myself :(  The pain from the fill is out of control, but I'm too afraid to put anything on my stomach yet. I HATE being sick! I am going back to bed, so I will talk to you all soon! Maybe a new drink with Pepto Bismol would be good.

    Hugs

Welcome back Junie.. hell of a pee-ickle you were in.  When you got to go...you got to go.  Your skills astound me keeping the dress clean, and being able to get the nylons up and back in place.  Whine away Dee.  I will join you...I now have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on meds for it.  Doogie Howser said "don't worry, I'll get your blood pressure down before surgery."  We just need to watch it close so it doesn't go through the floor.  Lori, I might be down in your range before the week is over.  For hell sakes, the drug he put me on is an ACE inhibitor derived from the venom of a Brazilian pit viper.  I need to monitor myself a little bit in case of a reaction he says.  Ha!   He also insisted I have flu shot, tetanus shot, pnemonia shot..and he brought up the hiny scope.  I said..hey doc, how about I get through this next surgery first.  For the love of god.  I have only been put under 4 times for surgery in the last year(not counting alcohol abuse.)  I understand he was just being thorough.  Well, I guess I am done bitching now too.  Bring me a coors light please....I need to keep my fluid level up before that snake venom dries me up completely and opens my veins up the size of the Grand Canyon. Dee, seriously, hope you can endure all this.  I feel for ya girl.  I don't know where the rest of ya are but we need a drink master here for Dee.  XXOO....HD

huggssss to Dee and Hunky--bummer to the extra crud you're dealing with.  Hunky--I've been so confused about BP meds for a long time.   Was first on one; then another doctor switched me to another; then a new PC dr changed again--and now, current PC has me off BP meds.....really confused about it all......not sure where to tell DH to direct a malpractice lawsuit if I stroke out one of these days....and, know I really need that h-scope thingy but it is on the furthest back burner I can put it for now.....

Lori--I'm getting excited about your wedding.  Don't worry if it rains--it will probably last for just a few minutes and you may end up with a beautiful rainbow as a backdrop......you are going to love Hawaii....and your day is going to be so special....

Dee I hope you feel better today and they can get the gall bladder issue taken care of. Maybe have Jocks fix you up with a "High Gall". (play on "High Ball", is that a drink?)

Hunky, wishing you the very very best. Get that blood pressure down so we can get this surgery done. And like you said,  worry about all that other crap later. One thing at a time.

Looks like Kathy is MIA.....must be getting one hellova massage!

CAZ, KitKat, Jaybird, Casino Girl, Stormy.....and the rest of you MIA......hope you are all doing great.

Lori, Wishing you the VERY BEST for your wedding and vaca in Hawaii!! We will miss you here, but glad you are taking us along with all our pink finery. Singing along with the song Dee mentioned.... :) Hope you get to check in and let us know how everything went, and yes, we sure want to see some pics!!! Will be so cute, with your grandkids as part of the ceremony. Hugs to you and Darrell....and a lifetime of happiness together.

Sorry I've been MIA...just sent DH off for 3 days in Tunica...cause I have TONS to do here b4 parents arrive. Started restaining the deck yesterday....got a nice splinter that took all night to finally dig it out...ouch! Want to paint the front door a bright chinese red (green now), and get lots of organizing done. Will finish staining the lower deck today too... upper deck will have to wait till next spring. Wait a minute...I send DH off to have FUN, and I stay home and WORK...what is wrong with this picture??? Surprised

junie, I cracked up with the "pee cup" incident...you have talents we never knew about...lol. In Japan all the public restrooms we found (even in a new mall) had the stalls w/ hole in the floor to pee over....felt lucky when I would find an "american" stall w/ regular toilet (sometimes would have ONE of those)...but usually did not have the seat part on it. Once when girls were in line waiting for the type they like, the stall door was open w/ the toilet in it, so of course I went in there...and could hear them giggling! My DD said her MIL (grew up in Korea) prefers just the hole in the floor, also. My SIL in AK is used to going in the bushes (when outside w/ nothing else avail) and can't understand why I prefer to wait for a toilet....I just never learned that "art" I guess...lol. Glad the wedding turned out well, in spite of all the stress and problems beforehand. AND glad to have you back!!!!

Well gals, I've got to get to work. Hope there will be a fantastic time at HTL tonight...I will be ready to PARTY!!!!  Cool

    Hugs,

    Kathy

Lori, best wishes to you.  We didn't have a bachelorette party for you!  Crap!  We will have one after you get back!  I promise!!  Kathy, you are working too hard.  It's making me fret for you.  Also, I am so....so... sorry you never developed the fine art of squatting to pee!  It was a something my grandmother taught my mother, and my mother taught me.  We camped and explored a lot as a family growing up!  I can pee anywhere.  LOL.  I'm humming along to Dee's song too.  Dee, hope you are feeling better!  Junie....glad you are home and hope you are resting.  I am hoping for some good wishes and toasts to our friend Lori tonight.  All the rest of ya, and you know who you are...come on down!   I expect to have my surgery on the wedding day, Oct. 6, if everything comes down like it is supposed to...I will be in lala land and Lori will too!!!   Yippeee!  XXOO   HunkyD

(((Dee))) BIG huggs to you - can't you just get your gall bladder drunk and make it happy???

Lori - Happy Nuptuals! I'm sure any rain that does happen won't dappen your happiness!

HunkyD, what can I say? I need to make sure I'm never drinking (???) when I read your posts because I'm tired of alcohol coming out of my nose! (what a waste!)

Tonight I'm sad but celebrating Heidi's life with some Macallan Select Oak. Avery is with my aunt tonight so I can indulge. I'm off to Germany tomorrow and will bring back some beer I'm sure.

If someone can once again explain how to post a pic from photobucket (that's the only way to here, right?) I'll share some pics of Avery and of my new bathroom. We're all (me, her and the dog) sleeping in the 'office' (my entire upstairs is torn-up) so my computer time is limited but will gladly share if I can figure out how to.

Cheers to all and especially cheers to all of our sisters who can't drink with us in this dimension.

CAZ - I mostly drink red wine, but I'm not that picky - mostly whatever I have in the house!!!

I am so excited - I am turning 40 - yes 40 - this Friday.  My sister (who also had BC) is coming to town with my niece.  My mom is coming, too.  We're having a big wine party at the house on Saturday.  I can't wait!!!  I already bought 4 bottles of wine (and a variety of beer for my hubby's friends).

Hunky - I am the queen of the pee squatters!!!  My husband and I have a system, when we're out riding ATV's and I have my riding boots on.  He steps on the tips of my boots, grabs my hands and I lean back really far!!!  LOL!!  Of course, these days, I can't do that, but oh well.  I can still drink - that's what matters!!! :)

Hope tomorrow will be a super day for you, and then of course, Saturday with your wine party! Happy Birthday young'un!

Ok...a funny for those who can "pee" anywhere....

Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out.
Both were very faithful and loving wives, however
They had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi
    Breezers.

Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to
pee, so they stopped in the cemetery.

One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought
she would take off her panties and use them.

Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive
pair of panties and did not want to ruin them.

She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave
that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she
    proceeded to wipe with that.

After the girls did their business they proceeded to
    Go home.

The next day one of the woman's husband was concerned
that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in
bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said:
'These girl nights out have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect
the worst. . . my wife came home with no panties!!'

'That's nothing' said the other husband,
'Mine came back with a card stuck to her ass that
    said..

'From all of us at the Fire Station.
    We'll never forget you.''

    Hey gals,'

I'm not lost, just enjoying our 2 week road trip to California and Oregon.  Hunky and Dee, I hope you gals are through the worst of it soon. Hunky, I loved the picture as always.

Junie, glad to see you survived the wedding.  We were pulling for you.  And by pulling I mean drinking.

Lori, the Italians say "a wet bride is a fortunate bride."  I don't think it's as dirty as it sounds.  Best of luck.

Kathy,  I hope you relax about your folks visit.  I'm just glad your Dad is well after that scare.  Great joke, by the way.

Somebody help Jaybird out.  I have to see that bathroom and Avery.

While we were at Mono Lake they were filming a Japanese pop star's music video.  Every time one of the Japanese would pass by they'd pull up their surgical mask.  Amusing turned to annoying rapidly.

Our first day on the coast, the fire dept showed up at our restaurant during dinner to warn us of a tsunami watch.

In Oregon this morning I couldn't get a black coffee.  The closest they had was an Americano which is evidently espresso watered down so it tastes just like a...wait for it...BLACK COFFEE.  Back to amused.

    Cheers y'all

CAZ, Glad you are having a good time...and be aware if there are any tsunami warnings! I thought they would have warnings for HI, but apparently just for the west coast. I did pm jaybird about the pics (from HunkyD's and Lori's help to me!), so hopefully we can see Avery and the bathroom redo, soon.

Cannot believe I will have to put FIVE coats of paint on the front door....sheesh!!! Four coats don't quite do it. Wanted to do so much more while DH is away, other than the front door. BUT on a good note, he is winning me money from my slot comps, using my card...yay! And so far is on a win for himself too....of course the night is still young. The HTL is sooooo empty...where is everyone??? Well, had happy hour, and now Survivor is on soon. Oh, when we were in Sydney, some racers ran by our hotel right as we stepped out, w/ 3 cameramen following them...now I wonder if they were part of the Amazing Race? If they do end up going to Sydney, I will have to watch and see if we are on tv...lol.

    Pau Hana gals,

    Kathy

Very good joke Wahine.  I am often blessed with public displays of disgust, but I am also not holding in my pee for anything.   At my age, I don't think I could anyway.  LOL!  Turned the furnace on last night.  We dipped below freezing last night, so I think we have fall to stay.  I have been working like a mad woman trying to get stuff done at my job, and am hoping to do some last minute house cleaning this weekend.  I also hope to consume beverages this weekend so I am in for Kittys 40th.  You young little whipper snapper!   I hope you have a great birthday.  Jaybird...I am anxious to see your pictures.  I assume you have photobucket account?  If you do, login, and upload your pics off your computer to photobucket.  If you have a snazzy camera, chances are your pictures will be huge in size so you will have to resize them somewhere around 650 pixels.  There is an option under edit in photobucket to do that and it will maintain the correct aspect ratio or proportion.  Then click on replace original.  It will take you back to the album page where underneath the picture you can click on direct link.  That will copy the image to your computers clipboard.  Then come in this BC.org box and click on the little tree icon you see above.  It will bring up a new window and the first little box it will say Image Url.  Place your cursor in there and hit edit paste, or control + v.  That will paste the url location of your pic in the box.  I usually then click left under alignment and that is all I do.  Then click the insert button.  Play around with it a bit and you will get it.  If your don't get it the first time try again.  If you get to a point and have a specific question....holler!  I can just see the all of you sleeping in office during the turmoil of construction.  Would love to see a pic of Avery again...it seems like it's been a while since you posted her pic and (beloved pooch?) on her birthday.  Happy travels to you in Germany!  And CAZ, are you still on road trip?  How is your Mom?  Casino Girl?  Hope you guys are doing well.  Guess Halloween is coming up.  I hope everyone dresses up in costumes to come to the bar.  Kathy, I think I am going to need help in the party planning for Lori. Junie...you may have to take over that job.  I might not be fit to fiddle for a while, and you seem to be the hostess with the mostest.  Dee....how is your stomach issues?  Hope you are doing better.  Love it...Booze and Botox...my PS is running a special on botox November 20th.  $10 for one unit.  I don't know what one unit is but if it is one cc, I think I might need a shitload of them.  OK, I think I have plastered this board with enough rambles.....Booze, Botox, and Birthday (40)!   XXOO....HD

HunkyD, wow that is some special for just $10/unit of botox!!! IT may take 2-3 units I think(?). Would be fun if we all went to your dr at the same time and got botoxed...HOWEVER do you watch So You Think You Can Dance? Last night, Mary Murphy looked soooo bad...and her face didn't move... finally figured out she must have had botox by her eyes...but it was a bad job. Or else it needs time to settle. It really, really made her look like she was sick...not good!

    Gotta run,
