OMG Junie, you have been through more than anyone should endure! You poor thing. Glad hubby and pooch are doing ok despite of everything. And when you are done with your bucket of ML's, you can use it under one of your leaks.

OH MY HUNKY.....straps ons and monkeys. Boy you are certainly right about getting thrown into a phsyc ward....but you know what...........we'd make IT just as fun! I can only imagine what our doctors would look like!

Ok, not too many rainbows, it really didn't rain much. There were also NO tradewinds almost the entire time we were there. So it was sooooo hot (in the mid 90's with heat index) and then ad the 10000000000% humidity. Hot flashes and sweating constantly. And when you go somewhere out or even the hotels, Junie and Kathy you know this, they don't have air conditioning! They rely on the trade winds to keep things cool.

On the Big Island, where we stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa (whackyola) Village. OMG what a resort! Huge, gorgeous place. Had to take a boat to our room and to get around the resort. Plenty of pools and bars. On the big island we did a 2 hour helecopter ride, submarine, volcanoe, lava tube, lots of driving and just looking. I forgot to ad the Luau (sp) at the Hilton. Darrell paid extra to get a front table, our own personal server (everyone else did buffett style) and all the drinks we wanted (everyone else only got 2).

On Kauai, of cours the wedding. One day we drove up the north coast, stopping at some beaches, lighthouse and found a botanical garden that walked through. Another helecoptor ride, drive down the south coast, visiting Waimea Canyon (sp) and the coffee plantation. Also did an all day, 4x4 movie tour which lasted 7 hrs and they provide lunch. One of the stops is at the Coco Palms where we got married and our tour guide actually helped decorate the canoe for our wedding!

Then off to Maui to do Pearl Harbor and go home. We were ready to get back to some "dry" weather!

Erika, Don't pay too much attention to my posts.  I rarely know what I am talking about...LOL.  I just went through breast recon and the surical bra, strap, foam brick pads, slimline pads are all items related to that.  It really isn't lingo my friend...trust me, I would like to take them all OFF and but I can't do that yet.  Very irritating, uncomfortable post surgical garments indeed.  Lori, wow, you did get to do a lot on your vacation.  Bet it feels so good coming back to this dry climate you know after all that humidity.  We are glad to have ya back.  Junie, glad your DH and pooch didn't get hurt.  You deserve a Bucket O Beer!  I'll join ya when I get my errands done today.  Dee, get back to work!  LOL

Lori, What a GORGEOUS picture!!!! I just got to see it, but only have the teeny netbook with us, so picture is sorta small....but from what I could see, you look so beautiful....your hair looks great, and your dress looks fantastic on you! Love all the flowers...looks like ti leaves, bird of paradise (one of my favs), and pink ginger? Darrell looks so handsome too. Thanks for sharing that! And you are sooooo brave to go on the heli rides.....I can do parasailing, and would love to skydive, but for some reason the helicopter tours around the cliffs just scares me to even think about! Bet the scenery was breathtaking.

Well gals, haven't seen "HUNK" yet, but so far we are a little ahead. My 94 1/2 yo aunt and her DH just left, and it amazes me how good she looks, how articulate, etc....seeing her and my dad talk about their childhood was soooo cute. They said they will meet us in Tunica again, so I'm looking forward to that. Well, today just have had 1 bloody mary, so lots of catching up to do. This connection is sooooo slow, so won't try to comment on everything, just know that I am thinking of you all! Love the idea for the halloween costumes..."Mary Margarita", etc....so clever!

Well its pau hana all day long here! Cheers and hugs,

Kathy, Pau Hana!  Hope you are having a great time.  Have you won enough for us all too meet?  Tell Hunk we need a couple dozen complimentary plane tickets.  Erika, your halloween costume idea is a hoot.  I don't think I could fit into any kind of habit right now.  I am home and resting for the evening.  The little gal that did my hair just kind of looked at me like...what am I supposed to do with this!!  She didn't cut much, which I was thankful for.  Gave me some more "Highlights" and sent me packing.  It was so neat because as I was writing my check, I picked up my cell phone and said "excuse me, I need to call my driver!"  She laughed her ass off.  She knew my husband dropped me off in his work truck and was due to pick me up.  I was hoping it impressed some of the other clients but it didn't.   Someone come and join me at the lounge.  I would love some company!  XXOO  HD

Joining you Hunky at the bar! Way to go on pretending to call you driver. I hear ya on not being able to do much with the hair! While I was in Tulsa having my treatments, I did have a driver and was sometimes picked up in a limo!

I missed some posts between Hunky, Dee and Erika, while I was posting and when I seen them, had to lmao. Hunky telling Dee to go back to work and Erika not understanding the lingo!

Erika, just ask....someone will tell you! Or at the very least, make something up!

Dee, I hope it was you doing the bitchslapping and not the other way around.

Ok, here are some photos. I had to upload them to WalGreens website so I could get prints, and it said you could share. So if it works, this is great, and I only have to upload over 200 pictures ONE TIME. Suppose to be able to ad to Facebook too. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Dee...I loved the flying bitch slap.  Brought a giggle to me.  I have had many days like that for sure.  Hope you hear something soon about your gallbladder problem.  Lori....thank you so much for sharing the photos.  It really brought a smile to my face to see so much beautiful romance, landscape, and FUN!  I would usually say what a lucky man Darrell is, and I will.  But, I also want to say how fortunate you are because I can see a sparkle in his eye, and it reflects how much he cares about you.  I know you will be "Happy Campers" forever!  Now, let's have a drink!  HunkyD

Dee--the bitch slap pic is great....I'd like to bitch slap Walgreens just now.   Lori, when I access the above link, I get a create an account to view Lori's album.   Try as I have, it will not take any user name I enter--tells me that name already exists.......I'll try again tomorrow.

I'll bet the helicopter tour was beautiful.   We did that one time to view the Las Vegas strip after dark.   It was incredibly awesome.   Sounds like you did a lot on your trip in addition to getting married.   What great memories you'll have.

Heading out to the pool to join you all.    hmmmmmmm, Sister Miller Lite just doesn't hack it--will have to think up a better name.

Kathy--hoping to hear of a big REaL win.   Friends called this morning to see if we wanted to go to casino with them today, but just had too much to get done.   Think that is the first time EVER we've not jumped on a little gamblin' jaunt.    s i g h ......

    hugggssss to all......

Welcome Lizzie and Katie.   Pull up a bar stool and get your favorite drink, then we'll wander out to the pool and see what everyone's up to...

Well, here are a few more costume ideas for those who would like them:

Junie, I think you should be Sister Mary Millerhighlife (you could wear a bucket instead of the traditional black & white hat), and then we should probably branch out to Sister Mary SingleMalt, Sister Mary DoubleMalt, Sister Mary 151, Sister Mary Absolut, and of course, Mother Superior Flying Bitch Slap (just to keep us all in line!).

Hi Katie and LizzieB - I found this great place a few weeks ago, and am thrilled to have "met" these wonderful ladies - and so glad to see you here too. Sorry that it's on a bc group, but this is, by far, the greatest spa/bar on the planet!

Love & best wishes to all,

    E

Lori, THANKS SO MUCH for sharing your photos with us! They are so beautiful! I had a Walgreens acct, so no prob to see them. The hula pics were hilarious, the heli pics were awesome...isn't it neat to see the lava entering the ocean! Were you able to go up to the lava flow? When we went, it was ok to hike to the flow, its so amazingly HOT, but not sure if you can still reach that area. Too bad it was overcast when you were at Waimea Canyon, but isn't that so awesome also! Glad you went to the Arizona Memorial at Pearl...I grew up straight back from it, on the mountain. That is such a moving tour...and to think of the oil still coming up to the surface from over 60 yrs ago. The grounds of your hotel were so lush and gorgeous. You both took beautiful photos...so happy, and you both look so nice. Whose DD is that w/ the beautiful grandkids? I am so glad you were able to do and see so much....what an awesome trip!!!

Hi to all the newcomers at the bar! You will LOVE it here...and let Pants and Jocks cater to your every need, and every want. Just got back from Tunica...came out even, so was happy about that....considering the free rooms, free food, free drinks! Met someone that drove over from Phoenix (stopped overnight on way to Knoxville)....so all you AZ gals could surely drive over to Tunica if Vegas doesn't work out!!! Time for Happy Hour....nice to see such a fun group at the bar...cheers everyone!

You guys, I'm sorry.....I thought the pictures would just show up. I didn't know you had to create an account. I hate that, why do they do that? I know......so you will use their services!

Kathy, glad to hear you at least broke even. We did hike out onto lava, but not any hot stuff. There were alot of places that were forbidden, but if you knew where the hot flows were and how to get around to private areas, then one would be able to get to hot spots. Waimea Canyon looks like a mini Grand Canyon and the oil is still coming up in Pearl Harbor. They say it is the tears from those that were lost. That is Darrell's daughter that joined us in Hawaii, with her hubby and 2 kids.

Junie, I hope you are drying out, out there. Maybe for halloween you should be a sponge.

Erika, I think I will be Sister Mary Mojito. Had a few of those in Hawaii, yummy!

Hunky, I hope you are feeling better every day and NOT OVER DOING IT, as I think that could be a possibility!

Dee, hope you are doing ok too. When are you suppose to know something? I hope soon.

Welcome Lizzie and Katie. Hope you stick around, we have lots of fun here. I have posted links for you to look at, so you can visulize the same things we do! And might I say, they are nice visuals! Our lounge is The Hot Tatties Lounge, often referred to as the HTL. Our tattie tenders (bar tenders) are Pants and Jocks. We also have an outdoor area with pool, gardens, fire pit, etc. We call that area The Banana Hammock. The fire crew is there for any mishaps. We have had some fires and some of us get a little soppy and end up in the pool!

Jaybird, I don't know if you are home or away, but hope all is good. What is Avery going to be for Halloween? Is the remodel getting close to being done?

CAZ, just sayin hey.......hope all is good with you too and mom is doing well.

    Here Kitty Kitty Kitty...........!

Cleaning, laundry and hoping to do some garden clean up, for me this weekend. Then packing up again to head out to TN. Leaving for Phx on Wednesday, flying out Thursday!

Good morning to my breast friends!

BRRRR very chilly this morning! I will be trying to get all the pre-winter things done outside today. The raking and bagging of leaves, maybe the last nascar mow of the year too :) Get the hose and outdoor utensils packed and stored away. Last year I made the mistake of leaving the hose attached to the spigot and it froze and burst my pipe, what a mess! I am going to have to try to stay busy all weekend because I called about my test results Friday and the nurse wouldn't give them to me. She said that the doctor would have to call me on Monday. WTH? (bitch slap) I cannot imagine if it was something serious that he wouldn't have called me before he left for the weekend, right? *sigh* Okay, enough of that for now. I will need mass quantities of alchohol later tonight, so lets get the party started!!

Cheers to no fears and of course cold beers!

    Luv ya!

Oh Dee, that waiting for results is the WORST....wish the dr had called you b4 he left. Well, get sloshed tonight and that will help numb your mind until you hear from him on Monday. I am hoping that the results are not serious, since he did not call you right away.

Lizzie and Katie, So glad Lori posted the links for you to see this nirvana we created here! It is awesome. We also have a full casino...all free of course....and can add on anything else that might be missing from this perfect setting. The TT's will give you a massage, fan you with a palm frond, bring you unlimited drinks, etc. They also keep things stocked and all cleaned up....we can get real sloppy at times....lol.

Lori, Darrell's dau and her family are beautiful. They all looked so happy for you too....now you have a much larger family, and it looks like a very loving family. I am so happy for you all~!!! Love your idea for junie for H'ween...to be a sponge...perfect!!! She's had sooooo much rain...inside the house and out. I will prob be a "headless butler"...I have an amazing costume that looks so realistic, then I hold the candy out on a tray. Scares the little kids though....am I mean, or what???? I should post a pic of me in in. Have some other cool costumes I bought last year....forgot what they are though...lol.

VERY cold, dreary day here at home....and so much work to do here. Tempted to just hang out in the nice sunshine by the pool at HTL...someone twist my arm....

    Ciao,

    Kathy

Dee, I don't think nurses are allowed to give out information and I have to agree with the fact that since you did not hear from the doctor, that perhaps it is nothing serious. So, lets hold that thought. But WTF, why don't the medical professionals understand what waiting does to us??? I will be joining you with those cold beers and yard work. Just be careful with that last Nascar Mowing. Maybe you should hold off on the drinks until you are finished!

Kathy, the headless butler sounds fun. Yes please post a pic! Twisting your arm, but not too hard...don't want to interfere with your ability to hold a drink!

ChEARS to NO FEARS (Dee) and ICE COLD BEERS!

Well, I just woke up after being awake very early.  Had the opportunity to go back to sleep....so I did.  Have some housecleaning planned for later today as well as the usual.  I love all your costume ideas. Dee, I agree with Lori that the nurses aren't allowed to share info.  I also wish they would understand the waiting is torture on us. I am still drinking coffee and feel like a lazy bum today.  Did a lot yesterday though and think that tired me out.  Any of you ever do instant messenger?  I can't imagine us all yapping at the same time but would be interesting at times for sure.  XXOO  HunkyD

Happy weekend, everyone.   Having a lazy day here, too.  Kiind of chilly--last night weatherman mentioned we might see some snowflakes.   grrrrr.  Much too soon for that nonsense.   Hubby is off on 3-day annual hunting trip, so I'm enjoying watching MY favorite shows and getting caught up on shows I've recorded.   and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet.....

Here's a suggestion for chatting.  There is a live chat right here at BC.Org.   They  have 2 rooms--"Treatment and Beyond" and "Staying Connected".   In the afternoon and evenings, the Treatment and Beyond Room is usually pretty full, but I seldom see anyone in the Staying Connected Room.   It is easy to log into--once you've logged on to bc.org, click on chat instead of discussion boards and just login with the same id you use to log in to the discussion boards.   I've "met" a lot of wonderful people in the chat room; some of them in person, over the years.

I will pop into the Staying Connected Room this afternoon at 5 pm, cst time--maybe some of you will see my post before then and give it a try.

Guess I'll take a couple MLs out to the pool before I go back to the tv.

    Talk to you soon......love, junie

Well poop.....Junie, I think you and I are 2 hours different. I don't know which time zone I am in, because it changes. We don't have daylight savings, therefore we don't change time in the spring and fall. So part of the year we are Pacific and the other part Mountain. Undecided And I haven't a clue which one we are in now, I think Pacific.

Enjoy your time alone, I hope it doesn't snow or R&%*!

Well, poop again! I just tried going into chat, and this is what I got! Tried several times.

     Problem

Your computer failed to connect to the Chat Rooms either because the server has reach its capacity or because the server is temporarily down.

    Solution

Wait a few minutes and try again.

    If that didn't work ...

You may be trying to connection through an HTTP proxy server. The breastcancer.org Chat applet cannot connect to the breastcancer.org Chat server through an HTTP proxy server because it doesn't communicate using HTTP. Try switching the connection to a SOCKS proxy server or try using a network address translating (NAT) router for your firewall, if either of those options are available for you. The breastcancer.org Chat Rooms work fine through a firewall using SOCKS or NAT. Your network administrator may be able to help you change your settings.

anyways, Hunky and I managed to connect and we had so much fun actually talking to each other.......we took a break for dinners, dog duty, and are going to try and reconnect at 8:30 cst...hopefully Dee will be home in time...and wahine--where were you?  Maybe you can make the later show???  LOL............ps--we stole Jocks and he kept us well supplied during our chat.
