My friends...It seems as though the weekend has just been squelched.  Tomorrow I return to work....surgical apparatus and all.  I know I will be moving a bit slow....but that is to be expected I guess!   I am right now planning my outfit to wear...not in the same sense a high school teen might be...but something more in line with hiding the "cross my heart"  latino gunbelt/implant stabilizer.  I really seem to have a need to tug and re-adjust that thing throughout the day, so I guess my time in the ladies room might be quite frequent tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a great Monday....Lori...hope you are enjoying your time away.  Not going to name all our wonderful HTL friends names tonight....there are too many and I cant think well.....so, unitl tomorrow my friends!   HunkyD

HD, I'm sorry but is that your Halloween hair or did you get confused on which color you ultimately wanted? Love the cross-your-heart look though! Wink

I uploaded some remodel pics to photobucket and will try to post them here. Only a few more weeks until it's all done! Just realized that I can claim some of this on my taxes with the energy tax credit. Woo-hoo!

Donna, always good to 'see' you! Don't be such a stranger!

I'm on terra firma for 13 glorious days now - yea!

    Cheers!

OMG HD, you are sure all coordinated and accessorized for your first full day back at work....LOL. That should be your halloween costume....too cool. Hope it goes well for you....try not to overdo!!!!!

Dee, Hope your dau is better today!!!! Been thinking about her and your gma too.

jaybird, Glad you are on solid ground for awhile! Can't wait to see the remodel pics, and glad you will get some $$$ back. We just saved the church $47k a couple of wks ago....roof had hail damage and they didn't even think about checking w/ the ins co....so my DD mentioned it to the powers that be, and they checked on it, and voila.....will get $47k towards the new roof. Notice I said "DD" mentioned it...I am usually AWOL! BTW,how is Avery???? Bet she is glad to have you home for a few days.

Bar seems a little empty tonight....maybe everyone is getting ready for that big party tomorrow night. Looks like the TT's are starting to work on it already.

    Cheers to crossing your heart,

    Kathy

Dee - thanks for the birthday wishes!  I've been on since then and THANK YOU ALL for the wishes!  My 40th was wonderful.  My sis came out and got to see her post me getting BMX and her hair growing back from chemo.  She looked great and we convinced her to not wear her wig for most of her visit.

I had a great weekend - we went to a Halloween party last night and had a few drinks - not too many.  I didn't fall off the dance floor this year, so it's all good!!!

Cheers everyone on a great weekend and a great week!  :)

    Hi all,

I had another fill last night and today I am hardly able to move. I have plenty of muscle relaxers and pain meds but cannot take them if I am at work, which I am. I thought I would only have two more fills to go but was told by my PS that I will require three more, the last one is an overfill. SO .. I will be having a fill each week starting 11/9. That will give me froim 11/24 thru 12/16 to rest before the surgery. I got my surgery date of 12/16, a day after yours Kitty. I will be glad to get this show on the road! My DD is still very ill with H1N1 and has now developed pneumonia and double ear infections. I am very worried about her, she may end up in the hospital if she doesn't turn a corner soon. Well, aren't I a ray of sunshine?? I will let you know what happens..take care all!

Dee, Talk about having your hands full (and your boobs full...lol). You sure have too much cr*p on your plate right now. I am so hoping and praying your DD will turn the corner soon and does not have to go in the hosp. You are understandably worried.....don't try to be a ray of sunshine right now....save that for when you talk to your dau....and let her know lots of gals online are thinking of her! As for your fills, would it be poss to just get 50cc @ time, even though it will delay your exch surgery? SO much easier to bear, esp w having to go to work. I'm trying to remember (and it gets harder day by day...lol) but I thought my PS made me wait 1-2 mo for exch...but as I told you b4, he would be doubly cautious about everything. Just a thought. Try to endure it till you get back home....THEN load up on those pain meds!!!! Sorry you are having to go through all that pain...end result will be worth it though!

kitty, I was going to do my headless butler costume, which is really neat, but now DD and g'kids will be here from TX, so she may want to use it. It is also very hot and w/ all these hot flashes now, I may not be able to wear it anyway. May do a scary witch, or pull out another costume from the stash!! I made a neat clown one that others have borrowed, so may do that one too and not be scary this yr (my neighbors little kids will appreciate that)! Your senorita costume sounds nice though! Where are ya going camping? Tent or comfy RV? Getting sorta cold here at night for a tent, but we used to have fun tent camping.

Cheers to Dee's Dau getting well,

    Kathy

Hunky, you wondrous creature.  I love the locks but hate what you're going through.  You have brought us so many smiles through your creative pictures, the least we can do is throw a pajama pity party.  Hop in some flannel and I'll buy you a B-52.  Then we'll write down all the things that bring us down and throw them into a bonfire.  Have you seen the firemen lately?

    Cheers all

Kitty--I think the only thing I will be on Halloween is, CRAZY!!!  I miss some of our costume party days from years ago.   One of the simplest costumes I ever saw was someone with a pan on their head--yeah, they were dressed as a pot head.   (...prob before your time....)    Not sure where I posted this, but one year DH came up with our costumes for a party.   He wore flannel shirt, overalls and carried a trowel.   He had me in red sweats in a big box that fit over my head...the box was papered with red wrapping paper and he had drawn lines on the box to make it look like bricks.       I was a brick wall and he was a brick layer !!!!!     But my fav of all was one year we had a come as your favorite SNL character.    (Halloween is hubby's birthday).   We rented our clubhouse for the evening and had about 100 people show up.   I was the Anal Retentive Chef and he was Julia Child--dress, fake boobs, wig, pearls, lipstick--the whole enchilada.   My most fun was shopping for his outfit at a thrift store.   I'm like a size 6 and he is a really big guy.....finally found a skirt and a blouse that I thought were big enough.   While checking out, the clerk holds up the blouse and the skirt to fold them and says, "Well, these certainly aren't for you!"    And, not thinking, I replied, "No, they're for my husband."   Man, you could have heard a pin drop!!!!!

now, gonna go put my jammies on and come join the party--anything to see our firemen again!!!

hugggsssss to all--and, this round is on me!!!

Hi CAZ, Nice to have you back here again! HunkyD, I hope your week back at work is going well, and that gear isn't being too much of a PIA. Dee, how is your dau doing today???? And gma? And your painful fills...really hope things are going better. Sounds like everyone needs a really good PARTY here...ummmmm.....I'll drink to that!

junie, those costumes are a hoot!!! So original...thats what really makes Halloween fun. Love the Julia Child outfit, esp w you buying those clothes for HIM to wear....LOL. I love seeing the kids in original outfits....those are def the best! I think it was last year that some teenage girls came, dressed sorta like fairies and DH answered the door. Asked what they were and they replied "nymphs". Well, he was stunned, and after they left, he turned to me and said "I didn't know what to say...those girls came as "nymphomaniacs"....boy was I ROFL!!!! He had never heard of "nymphs".

    OK...where are those firemen?

    Hi Buds~

Reading back trying to catch up!  I've been away too long!

There are several of us in our small office that usually dress up for Halloween...this year I'm dressing up as chicken pot pie.  There is a story behind this that I will share later....

Junie - I would LOVE to have seen Bob dressed as Julia Child - what a hoot! And you telling the clerk the clothes were for your husband TOO funny!

Kathy - good to hear Lori is still kickin' lol.  In bed by 7:00?  That girl is going to be ready for some drinks when she returns.  I hope Pants and Jocks are up for it!  That is so funny about the girls dressed as "nymphs" and your husband thought they were nymphomaniacs.  These days, it would surprise me!

Hunky - yet another hilarious pic - you crack me up!

Jay - 13 days off?  WOOHOO for you!  Did I read you are going to post some pics? Laughing

Dee - sending well wishes for your daughter bless her heart.

Took a scuba trip week before last to Cozumel.  Saw some things I haven't seen before....nurse sharks, giant parrot fish and coolest thing was a seahorse!  He/she/it was SO precious I want to bring he/she/it home with me!   I need to figure out how I can get paid to scuba full time lol.   I will try and post some pics.  Mark got some awesome shots, which is good, because screen on the camera somehow got messed up in the overhead compartment on the trip home.  Frown

Better get back to work now.

    Cheers,

Hi Donna, That scuba trip sounded amazing!!! Even growing up in HI, I never scuba'd (sp?)...just snorkeled. What cool things you saw. Would love to see some pics! OK, I need to hear more about the "chicken pot pie" costume......

Hope everyone is doing well tonight! Pau hana time!!!! As for me, I am still trying to get the house in order for DD and 3 g'kids, coming tomorrow for a few days. Then when they get here I wonder why I had it so clean when it gets looking like a total disaster a few min after they arrive...LOL!

Gals, going to have to come back to check in later.  We got broken into yesterday (house).  Thieves took 4 guns, 2 laptops, and all my jewelry and some Rx drugs.....we both took the day off today and filled out police reports..canceled credit cards, banking info....etc.  Not a good day.  They emptied all my drawers upstairs...I felt violated.  Came home to a shattered, broken back door and knew what had happened.  So...no computers....I did go out and purchase a netbook today just to be able to change passwords etc.  signed up for identity theft protection and other stuff. Oh...sorry to go on about this but either myself or my husband is going to kill someone.  Now I am scared shitless to even be in the house alone. I had another good crying jag again last night....OH, P.S....F'rs took a good pillowcase also to hold all my jewelry and shit from up stairs. Just thought I would let you know that is why you might not hear from me for a bit...I had so much info stored on my laptops it was stupid...taxes....social security numbers...etc.  No more pics for a while either...they are all gone.  Dee, still praying for your gram and daughter...XXOO HunkyD

    OMG Hunky!

I am so sorry that has happened to you, my heart is just breaking for you. I can't imagine how awful (violated) you must feel. I'm just glad you are okay and it didn't happen while you were home alone or asleep last night. If there is ANYTHING I can do please don't hesitate to ask. Damit, I hope they catch the scum who did this to you. I will be on yahoo if you want to talk later. Love ya!

Ohhh, Hunky--so sorry to hear your news, on top of every thing else.   Hopefully, you will be able to read/post here soon and know that we are all thinking about you and sending you the biggest hugggssss we have.   Some years ago, I had my house broken into 3 times in about a six-month period.    It was a total friggin' nightmare, so I know first-hand what you are feeling and dealing with just now.   Hang in there!!!   Do be cautious about replacing things immediately--my insurance company told me to go ahead and replace stuff (some jewerly, tv's, vcr's (pre-computer days), and other items.  I did, and had what the police told me was considered a back-to-back robbery.   The mother's came back 3 weeks later and cleaned me out again.   Police told me that was very common--thieves often hit the same house soon after,  assuming the homeowner had replaced everything.  Just a heads up--my insurance company should have warned me about that!!!   And, when you do replace things, don't set the empty boxes out for trash pick-up--dead giveaway.

Donna, glad you had another great scuba adventure at Cozumel.  Don't scuba but have always loved to snorkle--Cozumel was one of my favorite places.   Totally awesome!!!

grabbing mybucket and heading out to the pool.   Have had connection problems most of the day so huggggsssss to all.

Oh HunkyD, I am dumbstruck...that is just HORRIBLE...I can only imagine how mad and scared you must be. The worst nightmare! Only break-in we had was in a condo rental in Spain....and I felt so violated just with that....and scared to sleep. So it is hard to imagine having someone in your home going through your stuff and taking everything they want....like they deserve it or something. My heart breaks for you! I hope they catch those rats. I can't imagine how hard it is for you now to try to list everything they took, and replace things you need. Please don't stay away from the HTL too long....you know you can vent here. Is there someway that the police can drive by your home during the night, if you tell them you are afraid the crooks might come back? I think I would be pushing up some heavy furniture against all the doors! Not to make light of this, but reminded me of something that from long ago....when I was divorced w/ babies, there was a rapist on the loose that preyed on young single women w/ kids....had attacked some in the apt I lived in. THAT was when we realized the darn door hinges were on the OUTSIDE of the front and back doors....how dumb was that. He would go by during the day and loosen the pins, and come back at night and take the door down and attack. So....now this sounds dumb....but I put chain locks all up and down each side of the doors! Figured if he broke in, I would at least hear the chains rattle! Also slept w a rat-tail comb (remember those?) to attack him with as I didn't want a gun, w/ my babies around. He did mutilate some of the gals, pretty badly....took them months to catch him. PLEASE let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do. I can't belive this happened...with all you have been through....and now this. Boy, when it rains, it just pours.

Big (((HUGS)))) for you, and please keep us updated.

Hunky, if what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, you're going to be freaking invincible.  I'd fill that monkey with pennies and brain a burglar for the cause.  Not that it is much comfort, but I'm sure they don't want the inconvenience of running into a homeowner.

Hoping you can find serenity in the madness.

Hi girls....spent another full day filling out reports and wondering if the MF's are coming back to the house.  Husband went back to work but left me with the big dog and my singleshot shotgun loaded.  I can barely type on this barbie sized netbook, so typos will be often.  I have no software programs on this..just email and internet.  Thanks for all your support....I think the last picture I posted might actually be my daily attire as I feel like I need a lot of ammo and a couple side arms wherever I go.  As far as replacement items go....that will be a while....we lost so much we will be meeting with insurance agent before we buy...and even then must have it approved and notorized.  You would not believe the pain in ass it is too resolve all of this with cops and insurance.  Of course..my husband spent the entire day going to pawn shops with police report.  I am sure we will never see the stuff again.  Once again...thank you all for feeling a little bit for me...I have not had a good week. Jeeze....what is going to happen next?  I won't even think about that!!!  Love you alll...HunkyD  P.S.  I did change my password here at BCO so this is really me posting!

Hi HD, I think you might have a sh*tload more lemons that I have, so lets run over to Dee's and mix that with her vodka! Also, here they have "Lynchburg Lemondade"......lemonade and Jack Daniels....so that sounds good too. Glad you still have that wonderful sense of humor....I am sure it is soooooo trying right now, but sounds like you are making some progress. Cannot even imagine what you are going through, but we are definately here with you every step of the way! You know the netbook you are using...well now my DH uses that as his main computer! He doesn't come upstairs for his desktop, and his laptop started having issues....so there he is with that teeny tiny keyboard....so I know what you are going through trying to get used to that netbook. That is what we take traveling now, and you actually will get used to it in no time. NOT what you wanted, of course, but at least you can stay connected to US!!!

Kids will be here soon....... Love and Hugs to Y'all, Kathy
