Kitty....How was your K-walk?  Would love to see some pictures from it.  I don't do facebook but maybe you could post one sometime of you and your gals on the team here.  Hope you are resting now and having a nice glass of wine. I am certain it was so emotional.  I am so proud of women that do the walks.  I can't cry in public and would be an emotional wreck, so that makes it impossible for me to do and  "my loss."  Still waiting for my horse to slop his way to the finish line in the Derby.....come on Lookin at Lucky!  HD

Thanks Hunky.  I did the walk and amazingly did not get emotional.  I am not good at crying in public.  My husband got a little teary eyed in the beginning of the walk, probably from seeing me with all the survivors for the photo op.  We did the walk last year for his dad and my sister (dx a month apart in 2008).  I just didn't know then that I had bc.  I was dx a month later.

I'll post some pics from my camera.  I don't know how to post pics on this forum...???

Yes, we are going to some friends house tonight for tacos.  It'll be nice to get away and sip on some Pacificos or margaritas!  :)

    Dee, I am thirsty toooooooooooooooo!!!!

kitty, Hope you had a good night with your friends, and escaped from thinking about bc for awhile! Hope you're able to post some pics.

Nice Sunday to everyone! We sure dodged the bullet again...were under tornado watches all day, but the storm eluded us. We actually NEED some rain now...LOL. Two hrs north, in Nashville, they had 5 people die, and so much flooding...so sad. Dee, I hope those storms didn't make it up your way.

    Cheers to Thirst Quenchers!

Lori, you can post any of the pics I have in the Susan G Komen Race album.  I need to add more pics to that album from our camera (the pics I have posted are from my blackberry).

I'll let you all know what happens tomorrow.  I had a nice time at our friends house last night.  They made sure I wasn't thirsty.  I had my inlaws over tonight.  My mom made chicken fried steak and I had some savingnon blanc!  Yummm!!!!

Dee - I love the thirsty comment!!!  :)

Heading to Vegas today for the trade show. Staying at the Las Vegas Hilton and we have a gal flying in from Tawain to meet with us. Not sure if we will be back Wednesday or Thursday evening. Kitty, good luck to you today....like Kathy said "feel our arms around you". I'll try and put some of the pics up today during our drive.

    Love you all!

Enjoy your trip to Vegas, Lori! Neat that someone from Taiwan is meeting you there...Taipei,Taiwan is the sister city to our city here...and its such a small island! Wonder if Terry Fator is still playing at the Hilton...he was when we were there, but too $$$ (he is a wonderful ventriloquist that won America's Got Talent a couple of yrs ago). Would be neat to see Barry Manilow too! Have you been to "Ellis Island"? I think it is not far from the back street the Hilton is on...they make micro brews there, and also make root beer...both are YUMMY!!! Have fun!

Dee, neat to have margaritas today....my DH has been drinking them for just a couple of months now, but makes them with either 1800, Caba Wawa, or Patron.....and then some Grand Marnier on top....verrrrrrrrrrrrrry good! He is now spoiled and won't drink regular tequila.

Thinking of you, kitty.....wishing, hoping, praying for the very best results!!!!!!!

    Mahvelous Margarita Monday!

Thanks for posting those pics, Lori! Heather, you are absolutely gorgeous!!! You and your husband make a nice looking couple, and what a nice picture of you with your mother! Thanks for letting Lori post those pictures! Lori, your greenhouse is top-notch!

Spent all day out with my almost 90 yo mom, and we ran errands, went shopping, and out to lunch. She kept up with me ALL afternoon! I think having that new coffee at McD with the espresso in it, really helped (hope she can sleep tonight)!!! Trying to get her into a painting class tomorrow, so she can recall how she used to do it,as she was a fantastic artist, and we all have some of her paintings.

Heather, did you hear anything today??? Arms, legs, eyes, everything is crossed for good luck on hearing good news!!!

    Pau Hana Time!

Thanks Lori for posting the pics!  :)  I love the greenhouse pics too!

Well, I'm heading back into the surgery room again tomorrow!  I saw the BS today.  He said he's never seen a recurrence of bc after a bmx for DCIS.  The tumors were imbedded in my scar tissue.  Because the margins were positive, they have to go in and take more out tomorrow.  And they have to look at the nodes.  Another week of worry, surgery and waiting for pathology.  He told me that regardless if the nodes are + or -, they will most likely do chemo because this is a very aggressive and angry cancer.  I wasn't that freaked out to hear that.  Maybe because my sister said the same thing.  I want to get a 2nd opinion from another onco though.  Mine seems to be to conservative.  We'll see.

So, I'm going to have a drain from my surgery.  Yuck.  I'm also going to a different hospital than I've been in before.  I'm doing the Las Vegas hospital tour! LOL!  Hopefully, I can post tomorrow and let you all know how I'm doing!  Keep a round of percs handy for me!  :)

    Good morning to all!

Good luck in your surgery Kitty, I am sending you my best wishes :) Hopefully they will get the wide clear margins. I am glad you are going for a second opinion. The drains do suck but necessary to keep you healing well. Take it easy!

I need to get back to work and find me something with caffeine!

    Y'all have a great day!

Oh yes, tomorrow is Cindo de Mayo! Sounds like we should be fully staffed and margarita-ready.

Kiiiittty!   We'll all be raising our glasses to you! Another cool feature of the HTL is that you can join us anytime so you won't miss out on Cinco de Mayo!

I got home mid afternoon today.  I feel crappy from the morphine and anesthesia. :( I'm having a hard time staying awake enough to post messages and email.

The BS removed more of the area and some lmph nodes (I don't know how many).  The BS said that if I have positive margins again, he will have to go in and take out more of this scar tissue or capsule.  Then, there wouldn't be enough to support the implant.  ARGH!!!!  Not only am I scared to death that I have this cancer again, now I'm freaking out that I'll be lopsided forever!!! Can't the radiate the area??  I'm not going in for surgery again until I get a 2nd opinion!!!

Well, I hope everyone has a good evening.  Happy Tuesday!!!

Kittycat, that REALLY sucks, BIG TIME. If your BS has to go in again, could your PS be there too, to make sure he can get a good outcome as far as supporting your implant? Oh, I reread and saw your last msg....glad you emailed your PS, and hope he will answer you asap!!! Praying that this time the margins were clear, and the nodes are clear also. And that you can sleep tonight and have dreams that don't have anything to do with the bc beast. Unless in your dream you are kicking the beast to the curb! Thanks for keeping us updated even though you are still feeling crappy from surgery. Here's to MUCH better news tomorrow! Hang in there dear friend, we are there with you.

Glad that the party plans have been taken care of, and we can just show up tomorrow!!! I've been pretty busy with my parents, and also getting things ready for my DD and g'kids who arrive on Thursday. Seems like there is a never-ending list of things that need to get done. OR maybe I will just tiptoe out to the pool and drink with junie.....no worries junie, I will definately bring another bucket of ML's! Gotta get in practice for all the drinking tomorrow night.............

    Salud, Dinero y Amor!

Wahine - it's funny you mentioned sleeping.  I sometimes wish I could fall asleep and wake up with no breast cancer!  :)  I didn't hear from my PS yet.  I did get my path report from last week from the BS's office.  I'm hormone negative again, so this has to be a recurrence and not a new BC.  I have to see my onco on Friday.  I called his PA today to find out my path report.  He was really annoyed with me on the phone because he was meeting with a patient - SO DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE DUMBA$$!!!!  I'm getting very impatient with my onco's office.  I'm currently shopping for a new one.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!  If I felt better I would enjoy a nice stiff cocktail with y'all!  Have a few for me!  :)
