Last morning of getting up at 4 am for the semester!   Had a wonderful massage this afternoon, after lying on the deck long enough for my back to get a little scortched.  It's Margarita Time!  I want a GOOD one, and make it BIG!   Time to PAR-TAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have one of those! Last week I had a crack in the windsheild; today it was a dead battery. Such things used to bother me.  On second thought, I'll take 2 of those!

Ok, maybe Manu Chao was too reggae... how about something a bit more traditional.

The Susan and Simon video is great!  I guess there are many versions of the La Cucaracha song but the one I learned (in GRADE school music class!) loosely translates that the cockroach can't walk because he has marijuana to smoke.....

I just need a quick nap before I head out to the pool and hot tub...pulling my sombrero over my nose and wrapping my serape around me--Candie will wake me in 15 with a fresh Margarita!!

    Big huggsss to everyone!!

(((KK))) BIG hugs to you! I hope you find an onc you're happy with, if happy is the right word. Undecided

Lori, I LOVE (envy?) your greenhouse! Ever think of hosting Pinkstock? Don't you have a lot of space out there in AZ??? Wink I hope to get my vegetable garden going next week.

I've been doing mothering things and housework and yardwork for 4 days so no real time to read here, or write. Not even drinking tonight, will have to make up for it next Sunday. Still doing laundry (it's 11 frickin' p.m.), then off to bed, then off to NY in the a.m. and then London tomorrow night. Will say "hi" to the queen for everyone! Cheers!

Hi Jaybird (and bye again jaybird!), Glad you had a few days at home before you have to leave again. Hope you'll have nice weather in London! And maybe ask the Queen when her grandson is getting married.....surely she will confide in you.....LOL. Nice "seeing" you again....and have safe travels!

Kitty, Pinkstock really IS an event! Someone has held it for at least the past couple of yrs on their property in upstate NY....everyone is invited, and it looks like they have a ball. You might be able to search on bc.org to find it. I have the CD that was made at "08's event....cute songs. Would be neat if Lori could hold it at her property there in AZ.....but would probably be a LOT of work!!!! I can't think of the gals name that has done it, but her whole family helps out, and they rent campers, porta-pottis, etc. I can't even consider that, with these horrid hot flashes, as it has been held in August, I think....I need the cooler weather for outside events!

Joining Lori under the stars....what a gorgeous night! I must've had too many 'ritas, as somehow I lost the sound on my computer, and can't hear the music links that Gail posted...Frown, so its pretty quiet for me, LOL. Maybe I can figure it out tomorrow!

Nice party.....had a great time....real comfy hammock (tied on trees near Lori's hammock)....night night everyone!!

CRASH!  BANG!  sorry, that's Jocks using the ice machine to fill up my bucket!   Trying to be quiet because I see a few bodies still sleeping it off in hammocks.   There are three sombreros floating in the pool, but thankfully, no bodies!   My last memory of the party is of us all dancing the Macarena around the edge of the pool--not sure who fell in!!!   Great party!!!

Jaybird--travel safe--looks like that volcano is spitting again!!   Kitty--Pinkstock is a real thing--maybe try typing that into the search function--should bring up several references.  It's always held at a time not good for me but have always wanted to go.

Will sit quietly with my bucket until someone wakes up and joins me at the pool!!!

junie--I'll join you at the pool, my nerves need serious dejangling.  Long day today, starting with sitting for 2 hours watching students taking the final exam, then a very quick lunch, then a very long and boring meeting, came home to a very muddy dog that is ralphing up half eaten grass and large amounts of water and a message that my pre-op appointment for May 14th has been changed to the 21st.  At this point I will even drink beer if it has alcohol in it to sooth my nerves.

Have I ever mentioned that I get really, really upset when appointments get changed at the last minute?  Pants, Jocks, I need a serious nerve dejangler--maybe I need a liquid valium?

NM, Sorry about your dog -- he should really watch out for those margaritas! and your appointment -- you get all psyched up and then they change things... happened to me too and I think the surgeon just wanted a day off. Anyway I thought about it and I didn't want someone who needed a day off operating on me...

AStorm....loved your avatar with the cat hat.  Now is your cat having a hangover siesta?  I am sure someone hit me on the head last night with either one of those cockaroochies, or I got hit with the stick swinging at the pinata!  Ay Caramba!  I am headed out to see my girls with the buckets of beer.  Hoping you all are having a good day.  Kitty.....gentle hugs to you.  NM....I would love to have my pre-op at the last minute or even later.  Makes for some really good EKG's and blood pressure readings.  Seriously, good luck on that.  Hope your pooch gets over the flu....I know a little somethin' about grass eating dogs and puking, and it isn't good.  Jaybird...great to hear from you.  You certainly are busy in the air.  Lordy....can't keep track of you.  Keep your luggage wheels well oiled my friend.  Junie, NM....I am on my way out to join you.  Kathy, are you and your mom running in a 5K marathon tomorrow?  LOL!  Wow, your mom is amazing.  Hope you are having a great time.  Glad to have you back Lori!  Dee, happy Friday tomorrow. Who I have missed...I am sorry.  I have a small fog covering the frontal cortex lobe of my brain. Hugs to all....HunkyD

NM - sorry to hear about your day.  We definitely need to send the bus your way with a big bucket of beers!!!  Maybe some Corona's and lime - I didn't drink mine last night!

I found a new onco today!!!  I see him on the 17th - or even sooner!  They're going to try and fit me in next week.  And, it's the same onco my FIL goes to.

Kittycat -- sending you hugs... good idea looking for a new onco. Of all the doctors you will probably have the longest relationship with your onco so you should feel good about your choice!

I'm hiding out under this comforter cuz I'm feeling a little weak from the party. Can't seem to find my antlers... or my thumbs.

Good for you KittyKat!  Hope you get in to see the new onc ASAP!

My poor Snookie is still not feeling well, moping around, not eating, looking very sorry for herself.  I'm starting to get a bit worried about her, she is such an old dog for a GSD--11 or 12 years.  I'm hoping she's just eaten something that didn't agree with her and it will pass.

AStorm--If Snookie were an under-the-cover type of dog she'd probably be right beside you!

Oh gosh, can't believe we are all so talkative after such a grande par-tay! Sorry to hear of anyone feeling under the weather, even our fur babies. Jaybird, always safe travels but glad you got to spend some time at home. NM I am sorry you have wait even longer now for your appt, ay yi yi! When it comes to cancer, why can't we just get everything PRONTO!

Pinkstock here in August would not be much fun. Very hot and its monsoon season! Besides, the only gals I know on this website are you guys! So I doubt very many would come, and even they figured out how to get here, they might not find their way out!

LOL, HD hope your head is feeling better.....but it wasn't me!

Heather, hope you are starting to feel better each day. I'll make sure they keep the percotini fountain filled for you.

What happened to our new gals? Hope we didn't scare them away. Aruba Jane and Beanie......(don't remember others) come back and visit with us!

Connie, how are you doing these days?

Happy Friday girls, we are heading to town later this afternoon. I still need to get some of my plants out of the green house, but its still too windy here. But glad I have somewhere to keep them. And I have hummingbirds everywhere! I love those little guys.

    Huggles to all

OK folks, today officially SUCKS OUT LOUD.  I had to have Snokie euthanized this morning.  She was dehydrated, having bloody diarrhea, vomiting everything she tried to drink.  This morning she could barely stand, and by the time I got her to the Vet she couldn't stand at all.  The vet offered to do the IV fluids and antibiotics thing, but with at best a 50/50 chance of her getting better I couldn't see putting her through hours of misery.  I'm going to go get drunk and cry myself to sleep now.
