Kathy glad I could give you and your DH a giggle
Jaybird happy international womens day to you too, its not really big here in Canada either but I guess I am the international one here arent I lol.
AStorm thank you your very kind to say so, I hope I dont blow up like a blow fish I have heard you can retain alot of water during this process. Oh well time will tell.
Beanius its ok it was a groaner lol. Also thanks for admitting you had a drink lol I think in the third week I might be feeling like one or two but I guess again time will tell.

Hi Kymn, I'll sew a scarf for you if you can find the material! Enjoy your dinner and game. Not sure what we are having tonight, but need to watch Biggest Loser and then 2 movies DH brought home. Yeah, to us americans, you and Chrissy are the international galz! But then we would be that, to you. Enjoy your night, and bring your fabric over and I will sew you a scarf. Ciao! Chow!

Dang, it is just almost impossible to keep up with y'all! I love love love everything I have read and seen. It's just too late for me to go back and respond to everyone and everything.
I do like Beans first t-shirt for Dorothy. Laughed at K's large font.......you are the only one that has that happen to! Astorm, thanks for drink. Kymn, if I find a pink leopard scarf I'll have to buy two...pink is my favorite color. My brother got one of his daughters a purple leopard print bed comforter and sheets for Xmas.........or was it Zebra. No matter. NM hope all is well. Chrissy and Dottie too. Claire have fun skiing. Beans, you are just a hoot and BTW Kymn she put vodka in her morning cereal! Talk about a lush. Jaybird, I'll have my orangetini with you, Stanzie you need to cook for all of us, or we should just crash your party, Junie I love you and HD too. Karen, hope things are going better for you.............oh my gosh, who have I forgotten? I am sure someone, but I certainly don't mean it. Have one of the boys punish me for it! I can take it!
Happy Fat Tuesday and Int. WOMANS DAY
P.S. Astorm, there is nothing wrong with 53! Especially since I will be that age this year! For my 50th, I spent it traveling flying to my cancer center to have chemo the following day. So not much of a celebration for me either. But hey, every day is a celebration for us, right! And age is just a number, you are only as old as you feel.
Cheers, Chairs, Chow, Beers, Ears and No Fear!

Kymn - I don't think leopards come in pink. I retained water when I was preggers... thankfully it went away after the births as I imagine it would after finishing treatment. I'm taking tamoxifen which I am blaming for my bloat but mine is made of fat not water.
Lori - I agree (age is just a number) and I agree (nothin wrong with 53) but I'm not even 50 yet and I hate to rush things when I'm having so much fun. In French, people say they "have" so many years... I like that - the older you get the more years you have (instead of the other way around). So every year my DDs and I decide what age I should pick when ppl ask me how old I am since I "have" them all. Anyway not putting much credibility in the Wii Fit age since it aged DH at 83 - LOL he hates my Wii!
Wow, Beanie, I love Hurricanes! I got married in St. Croix during hurricane season but the only hurricanes that year were the delicious kind.
Where's Claire this evening? Love to hear what you've been up to Claire...

Doing a bit of coaching with one of my friends. Business review slides. Haven't lost my touch. But it took 2 hours. Drinking some red wine now while my lamb shanks finish cooking.
Otherwise, shaking loose the money my key client owes me (YAY!!!) and polishing up my own resume, as need to spread my wings and bring in some more revenue. Otherwise, I will be downscaling to Night Train and that offends my sensibilities.
Interesting how you can do collaborative work from across the world. Best example was one time when I did a readiness meeting for an online survey with me in NYC, someone in Seattle, and the programming team in India. Or the time, I did a call with one of us in Cairo, my former business partner in NY, and me in Seattle.
Have been dropping by to read messages, but too busy to respond.
As for age.....I failed middle age. Really failed it. I sit on the floor and roll in the snow. I get into all sorts of trouble to the point that I am amazed that a friend's husband lets her spend time with me.
My other news for today is that my Klimt giclee print came. This is an ink jet process on canvas, so really decent looking. And cheap. I thought I would experiment as it's going in my bathroom, so absolute quality isn't important. Need a frame, but will do something cheap.
Glad I don't have a lot of prudish friends visiting......... However, a lot less louche than some of the drawings at the show I saw in NY a couple of years ago. Suggestive art is nothing new. - Claire

Good morning loungettes,
It is Humpy Dumpty day, rounds for all....cheerzz!
Thanks all for the good wishes for shitty-titty, she appreciates it and hopes to officially be renamedd pirty-titty tomorrow when I see my PS. I have not looked an the incised area as has surgical tape on it but I am staying positive in thinking I will get to keep the implant. It does not hurt like it did last time nor is it red as a beet.
Kathy, I like your big font, I did that before but could not do again if I wanted to. I hope your Dad is doing alright.
Beans, thanks for the great t-shirt ideas, I like the one you found for marti gras shirt. Keep the ideas coming, they are great. DH will not wear a fun shirt but he will not get picked and I will not share the loot that I bring home, I will trade it for likker, oh yeah!
Kymn, loved the Sheen joke, and yes, probably true. My PS said I could be one of his girls, I said NOT. I don't like white powdery substances unless they are donuts!!
Karen, I spend my 50th birthday celebrating in AC and just had one girl at the time, I had just had my TE removed and flashed my girls in the elevator. DH was mortified.
Claire, wtg in turning aging backwards and carrying on like a school girl. Good luck with your bidness endeavors.
Stanzie, great pics yesterday, love the circus men,oh baby! I hope your dinner partay went well.
Chrissy, where are you down there? come on up! I wanna dwink with you. I hope your doc appt went well and the blood pressure is good and that you are feeling like uhhhh, drinking cuz you are happy happy!! Cheerz my friend.
NM, I am missing my drink this morning, come on in and let's toast. Glad you did not end up losing power. We are going to have heavy rain again tomorrow here and I am supposed to get the swimming pool opened. Let's toast to that!
Lori, glad the allergies are better. I can't wait to show you my girl cave when you visit. I am planning a cave party for us, cheers!
Where is Honky? with her PT again? I hope all is well. Astorm, I think I am missing you too? I have just popped in from work and read but have not had time to post. We had a problem yesterday with the washer leaking a load of water which put about a half inch of water in our laundry room and kitchen. Needless to say, my floors got a good washing. time to buy a new wet vac, my last one caught fire last time I used it. Ooops!
Sorry if i missed someone, I blame the likker. HaVE a great day lady friends. Peace and lots of love coming to all of you! God bless you all and may He look over each of you and grant you lots of peace. Mmmmwah!!

Dotty!!! Morning girls! I'm here and I'm home...yay!!! F/u for the shoulder went very well and the doc was extremely pleased with the range of motion I have already achieved. Said to not push it as there is still some swelling so once that is gone, it will be even better!!! Now, to me that is absolutely super!!! The blood pressure is another matter all together..........even with the increase in meds last week, it hasn't come down more than a point or two so he has now added another med into the mix and I have to go see him again in about five weeks. He wants to give this third med a chance to work.......hope it does. Got the results for the bloods that were taken last week and all is very good except for the danged Vit D. After achieving a level of 110iu/ml at the beginning of Summer, and still maintaining the 4000u p/day they have once again dropped to 72iu/ml so am now on the prescription 100,000 p/mth.....I really don't understand how it can drop so much in such a short time. I remember a time when I hardly ever took a single pill just for the occasional headache and nothing more, now all I seem to do is pop pills one after another.......Grrrrrr! I guess if they keep me kicking they will be worth it.
Dotty, ready for the drinkypoos now! how many you got lined up? plenty I hope! Oh shitty titty should soon be renamed pritty titty........all good thoughts coming to you!!!
To everyone else, sorry for not answering you individually but am way too tired right now so will catch you all tomorrow. Take care all, be well and ((((hugs))))) to all. Chrissy
TITZUP!!!! Particarlarly pritty titty!

Beanie-here's to tossing family problems "under the bus"! No more snowshoeing for me, everything here is covered in a skin of ice. Very beautiful, but not much fun! I did lose power Monday around 5 pm, it came back on for an hour or so around 8 pm, off again until 2 am. Then a 12 hour clinical day for which I had to go in an hour early. Talk about stiff and sore when I got home around 8pm! As to when you are officially a survivor, I think that is up for discussion. I use the date I got the biopsy results. That date is burned into my brain, March 9, 2007. Gulp, just realized that's today. Others use the surgery date, or the date they found the lump, I'm not sure there is an "official" date to use. Personally, I think we should be allowed to choose an anniversary date for ourselves. Take back control! Yeah Us!
Jaybird-HOORAY!!!!! For he clear mammo! It's great to know you have time to research and decide about future options. After my mastectomy I decided I was not going to make a recon decision for 1 year. I collected data, had consultations with PS's, asked lots of questions here on the boards and lived with Silicone Sally, my Boob-in-a-Box. (No offense intended to those who are happy with their prosthesis.) Ovaries can be shut down with medication while you decide about having them out. Set a future time when you will work on making a decision, and relax in between times. Your curiosity will drive you to research, and you may find your decision gets made pretty painlessly when you take the pressure off yourself. It did for me!Claire-beautiful scenery! No wonder you love to get out there and ski! Here's what it looks like around here:
Goldie-Sadie is GREAT bedwarmer. How does such a compact dog generate so much heat?
Wahine-I'm ready to join you for happy hour Monday and Tuesday-got some amking up to do!
Hunky-good to hear from you! Power's back on , no damage from breaking and falling trees, everything worked out ok!
Kymm-drinking for real during chemo is something to ask your onc about. Virtual dwinking such as goes on here is always OK, if not REQUIRED!
Chrissy-I CAN believe that you didn't realize how much pain you were in until it was gone. I felt the same way after my mastectomy, and I though I was in horrible pain the year before that. I just never realized how much agony I was in! Enjoy the pain free status! And the ice can be scary, but I grew up with this kind of stuff, and know how to handle it and when to just given an not go out in it. Sort of like living in tornado country, the thought of that terrifies me, by my uncle who lives in Texas says it's no worse that anything else, just shorter notice to take precautions. I'm not sure I really believer him.
Dorthy-the southern part of Maine got all rain, too. Just us special people further north and east got mix and ice! Aren't we special? Can't wait to welcome pirty titty on Thursday! Good for you! Must feel good to be making progress after all you've been through! LOL at the joke! Very good one!
I would SO much like to flash my nip-less and scarred boobs and see what kind of reaction I get! Will I get more beads? Fewer? Horrified looks? Arrested for indecent exposure? CAN I be arrested for indecent exposure with no nipples???
Good Lord, miss a day and a half here and it takes forever to catch up! But such fun reading!
We definately need to keep the Mardi Gra theme going for our DOTD. How about a Mardi Gras Flasher?
2 oz Dark Rum
1 tsp Grenadine
6 oz Ginger Ale0 -
ROFLMAO NM!!! My Gawd we missed your posts yesterday! Glad you are ok, and are respecting the ice and being vewwwwwwy careful. Sad to see the broken trees though. I still hate it that I didn't think of hitting off the snow when we got the 9" here, cause we had to cut down about 5 tall trees. I know you do that, and don't know why it didn't occur to me to do the same. LOVE, love, love your pictures, esp the mardi gras one with the painted ladies flashing. We could all do that!!!! You could even paint on nips! Anyway, welcome back, you were missed! Love the DOTD.....so appropriate....Pants, puleez fill up the bar with the Mardi Gras Flashers, and we will flash for dwinks!
Dorothy, Still hoping and praying that the reveal tomorrow will be GR8! Glad it doiesn't hurt and is not red....promising! I know, that large font is so strange....I tried several times last night to recreate it and could not get it to appear again. Must be our HTL ghost. Hope your floors survived that flooding!EECKS, and glad you were able to take care of it. That is the only reason I did not put wood in the kitchen and laundry room...after having the water damage that we had in the front rooms, do not even want to risk that happening there. Happy Hump Day!
Chrissy, OMG I hate to hear that your b/p is STILL high...sure hope the new meds work!!! And the vitD problem....is your body just not processing it? DId you also recently have a bone scan? Hope all is well there, esp with the vitD deficiency. I'm a little leery of having mine done next month, as my last one was showing some oesteopenia (sp?). Very glad your other numbers good, though! Sure wish I could have seen you when we were in OZ, as that is such a LONG trip I am not sure when we will get back there. Do you ever come to the states? Would be neat if ALL of us could meet up some day! TITZ UP!
Junie, Good luck with your dr appt today....hope you get very good news and that things are getting lots better!! My BS appt is tomorrow, but that is just for the "manual" mammogram. Dotty, hoping tomorrow your boob does look GOOD and is healing well. Happy Hump Day to all, and lets partake of all these Mardi Gras Flasher drinks that are lining the bar! Cheers!!!!
DILLIGAF? (Of course I do!),
Kathy

Glad to have amused you all!
Chrissy, I lurk on the Vitamin D thread and have learned that Vit D comes as D2 and D3. D3 is the form we want. Also, Vit D, being fat soluble, needs to be take with a little food. I found a supplement that combines Vit D3 and omega 3 fish oil a while back, been trying to find it again as that seems like the ideal way to get the Vit D. Or maybe we should have Pants and Jocks spike all our drinks with Vit D? Get healthy while we get wasted? Works for me!

Beans, Verrrrrry pwetty scarves! We should all get one and wear it for Kymn, sorta like on Survivor they all wear the same colored "buff". Could wear it on our head, to cover our boobs, whatever! And yes, my surgery is Monday....you are so sweet to think of coming over in the bus! Wow....so many of you are still getting snow!!! Our temps have been cooler lately, but more like sweater weather. Been real rainy though. Be sure to order a ton of pink leopard scarves for the HTL....and of course Kymn gets first pick!
0 -
okay wahine these are for all tipsy survivors so we can wear pink leopard scarves!!! Yipee!! Found them on eBay, Kymn!!! So we're loading (and I Mean Loading) up the bus for Monday in AL. Then screaming over to Canada on St Patty's Day - Man that will be some fun - to be with Kymn for chemo #1 right? Yahooo!!! Green Beer, Green Chemo and Green Pee day!

Beans....so pretty. Just dreary here in Seattle. But that kind of day as I managed to get some sort of head cold. Would love to go to bed with a hot toddy, but can't as I have things to do.
Love the scarf too.
Good news is that I am getting more $ than expected from some of the work I did back in January. However, none of this is in hand yet. Also making contacts for contract work.
NM.....I remember the 1997 ice storm in Northern New York State. My parents were withough power for 10 days. It was interesting because many of the trees that looked nearly dead that summer survived. They could be seen growing new branches from their core a couple of years later. So not the devastation initially assumed. I haven't been back in ten years so no idea what has happened since.
My parents got through as had a wood stove, and neighbors came with generators to keep food from spoiling in the fridge and freezers. I remember my mother saying it was wonderful when she could bathe again.
They had quite the time. Not enough linesmen to restore power, and the ice kept forming in the mist. Glad you are through the worst. Careful with the footing underneath.

Hellloo all!
Dinner went great last night after an afternoon of misheavals and last minute unwelcome surprises such as clogged powder room toilet, takeing my daughter to soccor only to find out she had no idea which field the game was to be played on while I'm desperatly trying to clean up, find the recipe for dessert, set the table and of course try and take a shower and get dressed. Anyway, all turned out very nice and had a lot of fun! I'm too much of a worrier I think to do this very ofter.... sigh.
Gosh how to comment.... Oh Kathy!!! Wow, so soon for your surgery?!! Gosh I'd love to hear more needless to say! Glad the bus is going on over... I know you have told me but where in Alabama? How are the storms in your area- we have been drenched...
Kymn - those scarves will look beautiful on you - goldie should have guessed your favorite color is pink!
Jaybird - feel better!!
Claire - congrats on the extra money!
NM - love all the pictures and jokes...
OK, i'm hearing music and no it isn't just me the cat looked up when it played also --- ghost?

-
OMG, I am cracking the hail up here reading yall's posts today. I don't know where to start! Oh, with a drink, Pants, please, rounds for all - on you (can we sip them off you)???
NM, you had me rolling and now my face hurts from laughing. Uhh, as for the flashing, I had just had the TE removed and DH took me to Atlantic City (AC) for my 50th in Oct. We were up until 5am partying like rock stars. DH kept telling people it was my 50th and I think I drank a gallon of JD and soda that night. We were going up the elevator and I was so drunk that I lifted my shirt to show the girl next to my new friend my boob job that i told her I told. DH was pissssed, he said there were cameras in the elevator but I did not care. As you said, it is not indecent if there is no tittty! Or one nippleless mangled titty.
Chrissy, sorry about the blood pressure. It took me a few years to get mine stable. It still goes high at times which I add yet another pill. I have also had issues with it dropping way low. I think low pressure makes me feel worse that high pressure. I take 2-3 meds for that. And what about vitamin D, should I be taking more than a multi?? I hope you are able to get it regulated.
HD, love your new pic, you are looking sexy. Maybe the botox is working or is it that hot new outfit and scarf? You are a hoot!
Beans. great job shopping for scarves, I think I will order some to in Kymn's honor. Not to mention that I am a wanna be, after all I got the same barstool she has. I am not a copy cat, merely a wannabe. And wtg on shoving those toxic people under the bus, I always say get them b4 they git you. Again, I know people if you want my services. lol.
I have to run and eat, DH cooked some chicken and fettucini alfredo, fat food fest for me. I will be back and cats up with de rest of ewe girly girls. Peace girls, love ya all. Pants, one for the road, please...and not one of those premixed, they are so lame (kathy, I would need 14 of them for a buzz),,,,,,,,oodles of toodles!!!
0 -
Dorothy, LMAO at your comment about the pre-mixed dwinks....you are right though! Mucho bettah to mix your own and pour lots of likker in it! OR keep playing with Pants and sipping the dwinks off of him, and you won't even care~! Enjoy your dinner...nice of your DH to cook such a nice meal! I have a Prime Rib in the oven....love this recipe as you have it at 500 for 30 min then leave the oven closed w/heat off for 2 hrs....turns out crispy on the outside and rare inside, how we like it. Just add some au jous and it is purrfect. Guess we'll do some sweet potatoes or something to go with. Beats my dinner last night of popcorn....LOL. Sometimes we don't think about dinner till we are hungry. Trying to watch a gazillion movies by Friday as I bought too many movie coupons and they expire soon. My eyes are sooo red!
Junie, Heard anything yet? Hope you are doing good!
Pau Hana time! Dwinks are on Pants (literally, thanks to Dorothy!)!!!
DILLIGAF?

I go for the leopard undies!!! Silk if possible.
Which reminds me I need to get out my Dolce bra. Not the greatest support, but who cares????
Dorothy.....I suspect that elevator "action" makes for interesting view when the security staff gets bored.
Kymm.....forgot to mention that my silk thongs did wonders to keep my spirits up when I was getting hammered.
All......I keep thinking that I didn't do much work during chemo. Well, I was putting together a spreadsheet of last year's projects for my client and the end client. I did PLENTY of work during chemo, including last year's version of the spreadsheet. Needed a break as was getting tired thinking of it all. Plus, I am major dragging today.
Think I am headed back to bed as have met my commitments and still have the cycling club meeting tonight. Leopard-covered BOTTOMZ AND TITZ up!!!!
