Stanzie, maybe you can click on this instead of trying to copy,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMSkbH0LuTc&feature=player_embedded
Neat to see that, thanks for giving us the link, DorK!
Sooooo stuffed tonight....after 2 glasses of champagne, had a glass of wine, with 3 lobster tails, prime rib. large shrimp, raw oysters, swordfish, and an assortment of amazing desserts! We had such a great time.....my DH had 4 lobster tails, and all the rest! Too full to have any drinks after dinner, but I won some $ on a machine, so am ahead, and came to the room instead of giving it all back! Good band playing tonight too. Wish you all were here!
Cheers!

Kathy.....
Sounds just divine!!!
All............am off on a cycling tour so will not be at the HTL until Sunday evening.
Chicken dinner w/veggies and couscous salad was just divine. Plus great wine to go with.
Have the most wonderful weekend!!! Hoping the rain holds off until Sunday evening.
But so thrilled to be able to do this fun stuff. Drinks are on me in the HTL!!!! - Claire

Thanks RW, how did you make the link "clickable"? I did go through internet exporer to copy it but not sure how you got it so I can just click into the link versus doing the copy and paste into the browser. Gosh, I am also not too good with the computer, especially considering I studied computer science in college. Darn. I suck at this, you are not alone Mitch!
I viewed the trailer many times, Stanzie. I presume that was also your neighbors swimming pool? I can't wait to see the movie, something about knowing that parts were filmed in my breast friends hood makes it more special. And I am sure the movie is good, Disney has never let me down! When does it come out?
So I am up toooo late but that is because I napped from 3-7 pm, oops again. I can sure sleep.
Happy Cyclying Claire. Thanks for the dwinks, yummy. Me tinks that Pant's put toooo much likker in mine but who's complaining, certainly not me!!
And wtg, Kathy, calling it a night before giving that money back, yippie, that takes discipline, no doubt! I hope you double your haul tomorrow and am still hoping you have a suitcase full of hundie's when you come home. I am glad you are having a great time and wish I was there too! the food sounds awesome,it made my hungry just reading your post. Happy gamblin' now show me the money $$$ ! And sorry you missed Hunk, if you see him, tell him I said he is fn hot! lol, 'cuse the language.
Who's in the lounge, any of my W. Coast gals here? It is quiet, I need someone to toast with....ca link clink!! Cheers my friends, happy days to all.....

Gail, loved your bar/biker story. My dad was a biker as well as a founder of a bike group in MI. All fully dressed Harleys. I think it was called Michigan Dressers.
Mitch, wow.....your friend has certainly had some luck, and I don't mean good. I too hope she can make it for a visit with you. Too bad you don't know what the stain is, as it would be more helpful to try and figure how to remove it. Could it be lipstick? So glad your BIL was able to get in. Sending prayers your way and his. Yes, they can break those kidney stones up, but I don't think it's a procedure they do in ER, and probably why they told him to follow up with a urologist.
Kathy, glad you are a happy camper! Not sure if Hunk is in the video or not, as we had 2 of that picture. One before Hunk was on it, and then the one HD did. (yes it was her, I am not that good, she is the QUEEN). I might not have put him on the video, just for privacy purposes.
DorK, click the "space" bar after pasting the link. If you just hit enter, to go to the next line, for some reason it doesn't pick up the "link". Hope you are feeling well. You always sound so upbeat, and rarely say anything, I forget about your recent surgery.
Well, we managed to see the movie finally, Cowboys and Aliens. Daniel Craig.....hot cha cha, what a bod!

It was good, but a little corny when the aliens came in to play. Sort of a mix on old west and sci-fi. Storyline was good, and some action. Stopped by to see my friend while in Lowes, she works there and we are in there every week. We went through BC around the same time, well she just had abnormal CT and can't even get in to see her doc for over a week, he is on vacation. Area of concern is in her sternum, she said she could see all the activity on the scan. So she is just scared to death.
As usual, working on the Shady Lady and cleaning. Happy Weekend ALL

Glad you finally got to see that movie, Lori. So, is DH doing okay with that last stone? Love the bod of that actor, but I don't like his face or big ears.....so for me, I will crop it in my teeny brain! SO sorry about your friend at Lowe's....how scary to see that, and then have to wait to see her dr. That really sucks, big time. Hoping it can be taken care of, and kicked to da curb, and she will be ok. Hmmmmmm.....when I post a link I just click "enter", have never had to hit "spacebar". BUT glad to know about that, in case it doesn't work for me, will now hit the spacebar. Thanks! Have fun working on the Shady Lady!!!! Isn't it still hot there, though?
Sounds like a perfect weekend for you, Claire. Hope you have wonderful weather too.
Well, we are still full, but have the breakfast buffet to go to, soon. We always do waaaaay too much eating here! DH just went downstairs to get my mom and me some cappuccinos...yummmm. Then, breakfast (can I really eat anymore?lol), then "on the road again".....long trip home. We really enjoyed having my mom here with us, she is just so happy with everything. I hate to see her leave Mon am.
Hugs to all you Chicas!

good morning, loungettes,
Lori, thanks for the tip on posting a link. I will try that next time. Glad you enjoyed the movie. As for your DH, my guess is that the urologist will suggest surgery to remove the stones forever. My ex had that procedure after suffering many years of kidney stones. He said the surgery was pie and he has had no issues with them since.
Kathy, so sorry you have to pack up and drive, geez that went by so fast. I know what you mean about the good eats using the comps. I eat so much that I come home feeling as if I will never eat again. So glad your Mom is enjoying herself so much. I know you will be soooo sad to see her go "home". I will be here to support you.
I am still draining, I would damn that Pratt boy but know he is doing his job. Ughhh, Wesnesday will be four weeks. I just found a link on the lap flap forum showing a video of the procedure. It was taped at Jefferson Hospital where I have had my recent surgeries and the doctor that did the procedure is part of my doctors practice. I tried watching it yesterday but as soon as the doc started cutting, I turned it off. I went back in this morning and watched most of it. Now I know why I am still hurting so badly, yikes, that was quite a procedure and I am glad I found the link after mine was done. I probably would not have shown up lol.
Well I hope all you gals have a super saturdey. I am off to the pool to float...ahhhhhh, life is good! CHEERZ!
0 -
Dork - you are a brave one! If I even thought about the details I would never have undergone surgery and I just had implants... well that is how I think of it, "I just got implants" (yeah, after they removed everything except my very thin skin, put those awful expanders in and injected me with saline for weeks). Can't see how anyone could deny us a beer!
WARNING: Don't try this at home! Last night DH wanted a margarita and nachos so we went to a restaurant downtown and ate in the bar. He ordered his favorite pricey tequila in a marg and I ordered somrthing they call a "skinny margarita" -- tequila and lime with soda water. Tastes like a watered-down shot. Felt cheated but didn't want to order another drink cuz I knew it did have a full shot of tequila in there... will have to make up for it today...
Friends are coming for a wine tasting adventure. We have several wonderful wineries in the mountains with great wine and gorgeous views... I'm a member at most of them (shhhh! I keep adding more). I'll try to remember to take a camera. Then there is a bbq at our house... more pie and ice cream.

DorK - so sorry you are still draining.... I can't remember at all how long it look me to lose the drains but I'm sure it wasn't that long. I guess everyone is just so different but I'm sorry hope he gets to take leave of you soon.
Nope that isn't my friend's pool, they don't have one..... think bits are filmed all over.... interesting.

Gail and Stanize, Thanks for your sympathies on the drain. It is just so annoying. I have to measure the "stuff" that comes out of there and also "bleed" the line twice a day. The whole thing turns my stomach. I have not really been eating too much lately. I seem to have lost my appetite over this. By the time I eat, I am ready to pass out from nausea. Good think I drink likker cuz I know I MUST eat to hold my likker. One would think my scale would show this but it doesn't.And I feel that my stomach is just blowing up bigger. Prolly bcuz I hardly move most days. I wish I was like Claire and could start riding my bike now but every bump still hurts me. I feel like such a pansie!
Stanzie, thanks for the answer on the trailer, I thought that may be the case. IBut is the pic of the home I see your neighbors house or the house you were referring to with an unknown location or just some of the inside pics such as when the kids are jumping? I find this very exciting and can imagine it will be super cool to take your kids to the movie knowing it was partially filmed on the next street! I am going to go back and look at it yet again!
Where is Beanie? Beanie baby, come out come out where ever you are!! I hope you are just busy and not too down to visit the lounge
Me loves you and miss you, hope to see you for SNHP (sat night hat party, BYOH!). I worry when my breast friends go MIA. Beans, I hope all is well. I am going to find something to eat, mix one up a strong one (no skinny drinks for this gal, thanks for warning Gail)! Now come out of hiding and tell me you're alright before I send my people to check on you. They are not all bad, my people that is! Cheers, and tiddy up!!

Okay, girls, I am testing my newly learned skill on posting a link that is "clickable", thanks for the lesson, Lori!
WARNING - this is the video of the lat flap procedure, only for those of you who are as crazy as me and able to stomach this....I found it quite interesting but maybe because I just lived it and wanted to see if the subject ended up with a breast in her armpit....I will give away the answer, NOOOO, this girl's boob job looks perfect, of course they would not tape mine although I had to consent to recording the surgery since Jefferson is a teaching hospital.
http://www.or-live.com/jeffersonhospital/1858/event/rnh.cfm
Yeah, it looks like the space bar works. If anyone does look at it, it is Dr. Steve Copit who is partnered with my doc at Jefferson Plastic Surgery. Feel free NOT to click this. CheerZ!

Popping in to remind everyone that tonight is a full moon. Take your biggest purse outside, hold it up in the air, and yell "Fill her up, Junie". According to legend, you're supposed to come into big $$ within 3 days. One time, Junie mailed me a check for $7.00 (postage reimbursement) and carefully planned it to arrive the day after the full moon. Then she told me to quit my bitchin because it worked!
0 -
Oooooohhhhhh.....ow, ow, ow, ow, ouch! Been watching part of that video DorK, yikes! Glad too, that you didn't see it beforehand. Very interesting, but ouch! SO dear, take your time recovering, and remember da Pratt boy is doing da job. One of mine was in for 5 wks, so just think....since it has been almost 4 wks already, you will have earned "bragging rights" at the very least. LOL. We are there with ya, girlfriend....wishing I could take some of that pain away. Soon, soon, soon, you can use him for a lawn ornament....j/k.
Allison, Good idea......thanks for letting us know about the full moon. Girls, are we all going to get a large purse and do this? Hoping for no rain later on...came home thru strong storms, they just let up, but more will come thru in an hr or so. Two homes were hit by lightning and on fire, in our county. Haven't heard just where, yet. Glad I didn't hear about that before we got home!
OK, Gail....no "skinny margaritas" for this bunch! Thanks for the "heads up". Sounds like a fun night you have planned.....wine tasting, then BBQ.....heavenly. Since we ate so much this morning, dinner here will be sparse.
Yeah DorK, I am worried about our dear Beans, too. Sure miss her funny posts! All you MIA gals need to come back here....HD that means you too!!!!
Hugsssssss,
Kathy

Girls, my white ginger is all blooming soooo much right now, I keep bringing some inside but there are so many blooming outside! It smells heavenly. AND our fig tree has so many figs on it, I brought in several ripe ones a few minutes ago. Wish I could share them! We did make 2 trees (1 for parents and 1 for DD) from one of our trees. Ciao!
OMG I just did a search in my main email acct for saved messages FROM Junie....I have 298 saved messages from her. Do not want to revisit them yet, but when I feel I can handle it, will reread them and just save a special few.

Will have to watch that video as I hate having the stuff under my arm ----- Hate it so so Much!!!
So my washing machine died but not before flooding - luckily the overflow worked or I think it would just have to be committed somewhere.... Anyway, I need a new washing machine - It has to be a top loader as they revered the washer and dryer so I can't use the front loaders! Anyway does Anyone have a washer they like but is energy efficient but without bells and whistles. Something that actually works and lasts...... ughhhhhh - Hate all this! Oh and my beautiful new Cherry Tree planed last year I think has died!!!! I'm not having grand luck at the moment do you think.....

Kathy, thanks for checking in. I am glad you made it home safely but sorry you had to drive through strorms. I am surrounded by storms but they seem to be just missing here. I hope the next round in 'Bama is less severe. Are you join me at the HTL for a hat party? I have such a cute hat on. And we can all bring our oversized hand bags and talk to Junie about filling them! I have my hat on and am ready to party! Thanks for your support and caring words, it means a lot. I do try to stay positive despite my so many set backs with reconstruction but could not have done it without you gals.
Stanzie, sorry you are having a bad day. I have asked the staff here to ensure you have a good tomorrow. If they let you down (and they better NOT), I will have to send my people to hurt them. I am sorry your boobie is also in your arm pit too. Weren't we supposed to get a beautiful perky set of new girls?? Ugh. BC sux!
Here is a toast to tomorrow~ SUNdey. May the sun shine on all my gals here. CHeerS!
Allison, LOVED your Junie story about her sending the check, thanks for sharing that. And RW, you are blessed to have so many PM's saved from our dear Junie. I can understand why you are not able to read them now. I am still sad over our loss but was not as tight as you were with her. I tell myself that she is not gone, just away and I will see her again. She was the first bwest fwend I lost :'(
0 -
DorK, Junie is the only breast friend I have lost, also. Don't want to lose anyone else! Can I get a rain check on the hat party? Really, really, really want to be there, but sooooo tired tonight.....just caught up on 3 hrs of taped shows, and plan to go beddy-bye soon.
Stanzie, NOT another disaster!!!! You poor dear, so much has gone wrong for you, this year. Gotta start going the other direction! They now are making some top-loaders that use less water, like the front-loaders. I really miss my top loader, but my set is pretty new, so I hope to have it for awhile. I would just look at all the sales, online and at the b&m stores....then search for online reviews for the models you are considering. Don't forget some stores will price match, and if they have free delivery and will pm to a cheaper stores price, you will do great.
Nighty nighty girlies!

Hi girls!!!
Dotty, I sure hope that drain settles soon for you as I know what a pain they truly are. I checked out the link and found the whole thing very interesting, thanks for that. The days are counting down!
Kathy glad you had a good trip and you got to enjoy the company of your mom before she returns to Hawaii. When you speak of your white ginger it reminds me of my SIL's garden and her ginger and the perfume it exudes.....just heavenly!
Stanzie, sorry to hear about your washer....it's a right pain when that happens. I have a Kleenmaid..yes I know they went bust here in Aus but I was wondering if they are still available over there. I've had mine for ten years already and it is still like a new machine. The only thing I've done to it in all those years is service it and replace the brake pads....there are no bells and whistles, no computer parts only a dial to turn and pull to start and push to stop. It is belt driven so no fancy parts there either. If they are still available over there I highly recommend it.
Gail, hope your wine tasting and bbq went well and you enjoyed your time with your visiters.
Allison, loved the Junie story too and was just wondering if took a big bag outside if the fill would work down under as well? I sure hope so I could do with some extra dollars for my trip....lol
It's Sunday here and I'm heading back to the city in the morning for my final visit to the doc before leaving in a couple of weeks, actually two weeks from Tuesday. While I'm there I will pick up the tickets and all travel documents, the suitcases from my sister and I'll visit my mother and say goodbye as I won't have a chance to do that before I leave...........I am definitely on the short countdown now!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
0 -
Chrissy, NEVER heard of Kleenmaid before, but maybe someone else has. I just got a chuckle when you asked if the fill would work down under as well? LOL....of course you would have to hold the big purse UPSIDE DOWN...j/k, I couldn't resist. But thanks for reminding me, I need to go outside and do that before beddy-bye.
0 -
Kathy, they could be marketed under the name of Armana or St. George.
0 -
We do have Amana in the US. Couldn't even think of what I have, so had to look....my set is Whirlpool Duet. Chrissy, can you grow white ginger where you live? SO easy to grow here, I have some from my mom's original plants from Hawaii, that she brought to the mainland over 30 yrs ago, and we have taken some from place to place. Grows better here than where she lives in Hawaii! I do love the scent, also! Our magnolia trees are blooming again too, and they are very fragrant. My gardenia is not blooming as much this year, as it suffered in the very cold, snowy winter we had. But it is healthy again, so hopefully willl get more blooms soon.
0 -
Kathy, I haven't tried to grow ginger here as I think the winters are too cold and the summers to hot and dry. They usually like a little more humidity than we have but where my SIL lives, it is tropical weather so perfect for the ginger. I also love gardenia but again it won't grow here.....I have tried and lost.....boohoo. We have had some freezing nights here this winter and they have affected a lot of my plants but I'm hoping that they will come on again now it has started to warm up a little.
0 -
Chrissy, Too bad the ginger and gardenia won't grow where you are; I just love the scents of both. Hoping you did not lose any of your plants due to the cold winter. You are traveling during a great month, in the US, as Sept is usually mild. Note I said "usually", as October usually is too, except the year my youngest DD got married in an outside wedding by a waterfall here. It was so hot, that most of the food ruined! We sure did not expect that. And we were worried it might have been too cold! But I do think you should have very good weather here, for your travels. What is the countdown now???
Morning Loungettes, Hoping for a nice Sunday, and as DorK, said, emphasis on the "Sun". Did anyone else go outside with the full moon and open a big purse and say "Fill 'er up, Junie"? I think my dogs thought I was crazy as they were already asleep, and it had rained, so was wet outside. Had to go out from the deck roof, to see the moon! Hmmm.....nice buffet the TT's made for us today, and thinking I will start out at the mimosa fountain.....then lay by the pool...lovely day! Anyone else here yet?
Hugs,
kathy

Hey Kathy, I'm glad the weather over there will be in the 'mild' category while I'm there as I don'tolerate too much heat at all. I usually function best when it's cool......lol. Strange how we all are affected differently by the temperatures. The official countdown as of in the morning is 15 days!!!! Not long now!!! The moon hasn't risen yet so I'll have to check it out a little bit later.
Move over there girl!!! The tenders are preparing us a tray with eats and drinkies so let's get comfortable!!!!!
TITZ UP!!!!!!!

Hmmmm Kathy, I always have to hit the spacebar and then enter, to get to the next line. Oh well, whateva works I suppose. Have a safe trip home, and just remember....mom will be back soon, September? Oops, you are home already, forgot I am a day behind, since I am usually only on in the morning. So cool that you found all of those messages from Junie. I haven't been able to look back for any emails, or read any of her last posts. Just can't do it yet.
Oh Dork, watching the video, good thing you didn't watch prior like you said. The boob video that is (not the one you or Stanzie posted) Sorry you are still draining, don't be so hard on yourself, you just had major surgery and not the first one. Glad to see the spacebar worked for you. Junie is my 4th friend that I have lost to cancer.
Hi Allison, I did not see your post until this morning, thanks for the chuckle and the Junie story. Only her! The sky did open up last night tho!
Stanzie, so sorry about the washer. Agree, you are not having grand luck. I sure wish there was something you could do about your "boob in the armpit", as well as DorK. That just doesn't seem right, or the fact that insurance won't cover to fix it! That is really the icing on the cake. I think I would speak to a lawyer. Don't you have a lawyer friend?
Chrissy, I too am laughing at your question, referring to the purse! Like you, it's hard for me to grow stuff here, dry and hot in the summer and winters nights get below zero. And even in May we can get freezing temps and the wind is horrible. I hated Michigan winters, but I could grow stuff there! I'll join you and Kathy poolside, but will have Pants and Jocks fix us a plate, and anyone else that joins us. Jocks, could you bring us all a Mimosa first pleeeeeeze love?
0 -
Lori, I only found those messages by doing a search, but DID NOT read any yet. I am not ready, either. Just was curious to see how many I had saved. I have toooo many in my inbox....main email has over 20k and other one is overr 30k, plus about 7k in my gmail acct. Some I don't erase like family history info, emails from departed loved ones, and TONS of purchase receipts. LOL. Someday maybe I will find time to delete thousands of messages. Not sure when my mom will get to come back. Just talked to her, and we are all so sad that she is leaving. She said she was trying to think of how she could just stay here! But of course, my dad would not agree to that. They will be back before our trip in November, just not sure when. And seeing how bad her memory has gotten, I am very sad thinking this may be the last time she truly remembers us, and enjoys doing things. She does not enjoy painting anymore, and that was her true passion for most of her life (that and sailing by herself). She had wanted to get back to it so badly which is why she built that 6' folding easel to have here. But when she realized she did not remember how to paint like she used to, it got her pretty discouraged. Hoping she will get over that, as I think what she has done so far, is pretty good.
Yumm, yumm, yumm....keep those mimosas coming! Happy Sun-day everyone!
Hugs, Kathy

Hi Ladies, I hope it is not too late to you Chrissy, Kathy and Lori for a mimosa drink and a huge plate of eggs, surprise me.
Lori, I am very sad to hear you have lost three breast friends, awwww, that sucks so much. I know you are still hurting badly over the loss of Junie, she was one special lady and a great loss to us here and God knows how many other are devastated by this loss. Sending you a big hug!
I was hesitant to share that surgery video but really found it interesting. I am glad that a few of you actually watched it. I had no idea how I got so bruised on my left arm but now know it is from being flipped. In hindsight, I think he should have flipped me further to get my tit on my chest and not running into my armpit. I hate it, just hate it.
Stanzie, I replaced my washer about four years ago. I bought a Maytag and purchased it from Lowes. As always, I did shop for best prices. Lowe's also has free delivery and haulaway. My washer is labled Maytag Performa, sounds sort of jive to me! It is over capacity for large loads, quiet and no bells and whisles. It is energy star compliant and I have no complaints. I am still shopping for the fridge, I may have to sacrifice the idea of cold water on the inside as I am not finding the size I need based on my personal specs. Anyway, I am very sorry that your washer took a crap on you, it is always freaking something ehhhh?
And Stanzie, I am curious, you talk about a pillow in your armpit, did you have the lat flap as well? I am dumbfounded as to why this is happening to me. I mean my doc is supposed to be one of the best, how could he have f'd up? I am just noticing that the liquid used for the fill is all squishy IN my armpit. And last time I had the TE's, they felt hard as rocks. I can not even feel them inside me. I hope and pray that next time I get a fill, that my armpit does not inflate. OMG, what a thought. I ought stop thinking and start drinking, ehhhh?
I was not able to dance under the moon light with my big ass bag as last night was a wash out. It has been storming pretty heavily since last night. I woke up to a very violent thunder storm and it seems that it will not let up, it is thundering now again. My dogs are not happy, to say the least.
I will be going to my brother in laws birthday party this evening and have to get out to by a card. I hate driving and running around in the pouring rain but it will be nice to see my sisters and eat some real good food too! So much for a SUNdey! Oh well, we need the rain. My grass is back to green and my swimming pool will need drained as it is filled to the top. I think I will grab a drink and fuggetabout it. DILLIGAF? (a variety of dillagas)....
Cheers my friends, hoping to see Beanie stop by today. Also thinking of NM and hoping they are not working her too hard. Happy day!!! Wishing you all peace, love and longevity! Tiddy upz!
DorK

Hi Dotty! Hope the storms don't get severe! When do you see your dr again? Maybe you can ask him again about the armpit boob, and how you want reassurance that it WILL settle in the right place. I forget what Stanzie, had,but at first I thought she had little "pillows" of fat on her sides, under armpits, like I had. For that, the surgery I had last, did help some. But my boobs are in the right places, so am hoping AND PRAYING that yours will end up in the right place soon!
Yes, I am missing our Beannie also. Just not the same with any of our breast friends missing from the HTL!!!! Take care, chicas!
DILLIGAF???? (For all the crap that is going on right now)!!!! Hoping for brighter days ahead for everyone!

Kathy, I had a doc appointment on 8/4 to have the final drain out but cancelled it since it is not ready to come out. I am to call when it is ready. I do not need to see the doc for that as a nurse can take it out (as I can too hehehe, glad I left it alone). But I am due for another fill so will just wait until the drain is ready to come out to see him.
I had Stella find out what procedure Stanzie had and it was the dorsi flap, not the lat flap.
And guess what Stella did today? She booked a flight to Myrtle Beach leaving on 8/24 and returning on 8/29. Thanks Kathy for putting the idea in my head. I am so heart broken after speaking to them last week and feel the need to see them. I have not flown to see my parents in many years, we always fly them here. I want to spend some time with them and see what I can do to help them with their many problems. I can't believe that "Stella" is going away, it is our little secret. Her employer would not be happy to know this. Hoping the drain is out, can't imagaine being patted down with that darn thing.
It is still raining here. I wanted to go shopping today but it looks like I will just stop on the way to my sisters to grab a birthday card. It will be nice to shower and actually put on some make-up, have not done that since the surgery. I just hope I do not get stuck in a down pour on the interstate. I have to get on Rte 295 to get to my sisters home. Damn this rain but we sure need it.
In light of the rain, I am having a few duck farts!! Off to the shower, CheerZ!
0 -
Ohhhh Duck Farts!!! Yippee! I never did get to try them at the casino as I wanted the asti champagne with peach schnapps instead. BUT will try them in the real world soon. YIPPEE DorK, I am SO HAPPY that you will be visiting your parents. How super! And also you can see how they really do, day-to-day, in their own environment. That is just fantastic....I am smiling from ear-to-ear (well you know what I mean!). Glad I might have had a teeny part in your idea to go and see them. And with all that rain you are having, have you thought of "making" a card for him on your computer? Such cute online ones, like at American Greeting, and I am sure other sites. Then you could really personalize it. Just a thought!
Took my mom shopping, and a neighbor came over to visit her just as we returned. The neighbor asked how I was doing, and I said "I am soooo sad". OF course she knew why, since my mom is leaving tomorrow (so early it will still be dark out). She is just so forgetful now, that I wish she was able to stay here so we could help her. I try to emphasize all that she does, and not what she doesn't do, so she won't get too down. But I know she will prolly get depressed after she leaves.
OK...waiting for phone guy to fix her phone (again!), as we still can't call in. THEN Pau Hana time! Who will be joining me? Maybe we can open the casino back up and play some machines for Junie. Of course we will have to make sure the free ATM machine is back in business too. Had to have all that closed for awhile in Junie's memory, but I know she would want us to party on.
ChEARS dears!
Kathy
