how about drinking?

Hi guys - Yes I do STILLLLLLLLLLLLL have the horrid wretched awful miserable annoying hateful pillows under my arms and I hate them - somedays it makes me cry ! Yes mine was lat dorsi but don't think it was flap surgery.....
Oh Kathy- I know you will miss your mom!!!!!
( Any chance you can go visit them soon?? I'm so sorry, I can only imagine how hard that is...... (((HUGS))) Where oh where is everyone???
There was a great big chocolate brown dog on my front porch and he was panting and foaming at the mouth so I got him some water and read his tag. Went in to call and he wandered. Turns out his owners are in Chicago on vacation and he was being dog sat by some neighbors - hmmm not too good... Anyway, after many phone calls and finding him as he actuallys stayed in my yard but had crawled under some bushes to get cooler but when I went out again to look he started following me. Anway these guys came and picked him up.... they weren't really nice but the dog recognized them and being on the phone to the owner knew they were the right people. Whew!
Then went to hear Mendlesson's Elijah - Wow, tremendous performance! The couple whose house the movie was filmed in - he sang the part of Elijah( amazing Baritone!- sung at Carnegie Hall - not too shabby and he is the lawyer friend! ) and his lovely wife sang in the chorus - Fabulous stuff! But then ran into a girl (woman) I went to grade school with...... hmmm she looked ancient and all I could think is Oh My Gosh do I look that old!??? Horrors.
Bought a new washing machine! it won't be delivered till the end of the week though but they matched the price of the lowest one I found online And I get a $75.00 rebate from the power company so I saved about $230+ so not too bad...
DorK - Wow, congrats on going to Myrtle beach, I've never been but I love any and all beaches.... just to sit and listen to the surf and watch the waves sipping something lovely like a G& T I'm in heaven

Hi LadieZ.....
Back from my cycling adventure, and I am sure all of you are thankful I popped into the shower prior to showing up at the lounge. The good news is that we didn't get any rain despite the predictions we would get soaked. Nice for the weathermen to be wrong

Did just under 80 miles of cycling, with the first day being more than 40. A faster group than I am used to, so needed to work hard. Great training and I was able to keep up.
The landscape was just stunning as a coastal plain, just south of BC. In fact, BC has more of it than the US does. Lots of critters, and lots of hay, berries, and other crops. We gorged on fresh blackberries today.
The hostel is now being run by a musician who runs the place which gives him a place to stay so he can play gigs, and still eat. So really artsy, and spotless now. They are making a profit now. Was really funny watching three different people preparing super-special coffee in the kitchen this AM. I drank one of the concoctions and it was excellent.
I am now fitter than at any time in my life, so that is good too.
Came back with a steak, bison burgers and veggies. Am having the steak and veggies tonight.
Plus some of the beer I bought to have with dinner last night (we bought chickens and salads and ate in). So a yummy meal.
And just so much fun to be out there. This is the group I cycled two years ago just prior to getting a final diagnosis. So was able to show them how well I came through. - Claire

Wow, Claire - that is truly amazing! 80mmjiles! Oh My!! I think that is wonderful you could let them see you are more than good now! Good for you!
I'm jealous you can let so many yummy things and exercise to stay fit! Congratulations!

DorK - sorry, not going to click on that link! I remember the drains and hope I never need them again but they do their job.
Kathy - mmm, white ginger is heavenly! We have angel trumpets that smell really nice in the evening. I love having something fragrant in the yard. Last year I bought a little fig tree but the figs are so small and only a few. The tree is only about 4 feet tall and I think everyone was hoping it was dead when the leaves fell off last Fall... I just love figs but it never occurred to me that no one else likes them.
Had fun with our friends yesterday... one is DH's childhood friend who is getting a divorce. We used to go on family vacations with him and his first wife and another couple. The husband of the other couple came too but he is also divorced (the ex-wives are BFFs and the ex-husbands are still friends). The one friend who is in the process of getting a divorce brought his (2nd) ex-wife's brother and wife. Hard to believe that this guy is getting another divorce and that he is still hanging out with his ex's brother... I was a little concerned that it would be a downer or that DH would romanticize being single (as he did the last time this friend was dating). It was good to have some organized activities - visits to a couple of beautiful mountain wineries...
... and then back to our house for dinner. I had everything marinating and just had to dress a salad and have DH grill the meat and veggies while I sat and drank wine with the guests. After everyone left DH commented on how lucky we are to be together when both the other couples are not. He said he feels sad for his friend because this is the time of life when the kids move out and you get to put your energy into cherishing your wife again. He also said he was a little worried about me drinking and wanted me to assure him that I am taking care of myself. So today I finally got to share with him all the details of my treatment, my oncotype test score, etc., that he never asked about because he has been blocking out everything and making it scarier than it has to be.

Wow, Claire! Glad you had good weather for your ride. It was beautiful here too this weekend.
Oh, I did a bad thing... I was looking for the silver paint I used in my bathroom so I can finish my door project, which resulted in leaning out the paint cabinet in the garage. I labeled all the cans with the room, name of the color, and an estimate of what year I painted the room as the labels were starting to fade. As I identified the paint for a room, I opened the cans to make sure the paint was still ok and took a few minutes to touch up the paint in that room. After I finished cleaning out the cabinet, I went back to the pantry where I started and I used the wrong paint so now it is all spotchy and I will have to repaint the room. Weird because it is a dark blue and there are no other blue rooms in the house. Weird.

Good (?) early morning Loungettes! Hard to think its good, since it is 4:30 am and we will take my mom to the airport soon.
. Thank God the airport is close by.Gail, Amazing that your evening went so well, with so many divorced/divorcing guys. BUT this time your DH realized he is the lucky one, and not them. HOORAY for that to finally hit him. And glad that he finally was ready to hear about your dx. Sounds like a milestone, to me. Hoping this will really let him cherish you, and being married! That sucks about using the wrong paint.....weird too that no other rooms are that color! Could it have been a small project some time ago? What a gorgeous photo!
Claire, Glad your weekend was so fantastic!
Stanzie, I had written a long post last night, and hit the wrong button, and *poof*, gone. I hate it when I do that, but know that I am not alone. As for the gal your age who looked so old; you DO NOT look your age, you look very young!!! I know how you feel though as a few days ago I saw a woman who I thought was 10-15 yrs older than me, and found out she is just 1 yr older than me. It seems that most of us on this thread look a lot younger than our years (due to drinking?lol). My hs class was mostly asian, and I swear a couple of the girls still look like they did when they were 17/18! I think thats why my mom gets more comments about how young she looks, and people never believe her age, here. In Hawaii with so many asians, a LOT of people look much younger than they are! So she doesn't hear it that much there, or maybe it is because I am not there to tell people how old she really is! LOL. But, just enjoy the fact that you look so young! So glad you bought your new washing machine (so quickly!), and it will be there soon. And nice of you to take care of that doggie....he was lucky to show up on your door, so you found where he belonged!
OOPS....gotta jump in the shower and hit the road. Was trying to wake up a bit, with some coffee first. Love you gals!

Gail, could the paint have turned being in the garage? I know my painter says paint only lasts so long..... But I am a terrible painters right after I got married we bought a house and it needed lots of work which my ex could luckily do. But we decided to paint everything thing so I was to start painting doors so he started me with the Back of a door. I never did it correctly so after a full day of making it worse and worse I then got to remove layer after layer of wall paper.... no wonder I don't like this home maintance stuff....
planning on going to see the movie The Help today. Two of my kids read it for summer reading and the author lives here. A woman at church is the author's best friend so that will be interesting to see.
Now worried about the washer I bought as it dawns on me the saleman said it is new and he hasn't sold many but there was one that was returned which I was going to buy cause it was a lot less but because it was returned it voided the warrenty. Sigh, I'm sure it will be alright...
Gail, so glad your evening turned out alright.... Also that is just wonderful he is maturing enough to understand how important your relationship is and how yes he does need to worry and take care of you! I hope things really get better for you now that he is willing to come out of denial and fear and start being there for you. I agree the picture is lovely, no not the monkeys but I do like them too. One year when my kids were about 2 and 3 I dressed them up as the Three Hear No Monkey's they were hilarious, as all three were the same size!
Hoping for a good Monday for everyone!

Just got back from the airport.
Stanzie, On your "new" washer, I would ask how long the place you bought it from would stand behind it, and then if they say 30 days,I would really use it a lot before then and make sure it is all okay. IF its a front loader, be sure to run the "clean" cycle, as thats where mine leaked. I didn't know until right before (few days) the warranty was up, and finally got them to replace it since they never did fix it right. I bet you will love that movie, and nice to know someone who knows the author. I can't wait to see it too, but will prolly wait till I can rent it. We just don't go to movies much anymore; just so busy. But it DOES sound like an excellent movie! Re painting; I think my DH does a bad job on purpose, so I won't ever ask him to paint! J/K, guess he never learned though, so the job always ends up being my job.
Happy Day B4 Tuesday! Except I am NOT happy today....
Glad though that I can always stay with her till she boards, and she is flying 1st class, both flights today, so she will be just fine.0 -
For the beer drinkers......it is GOOD for you.....

Kathy- thanks, yes I think I have 30 days - its Lowes. And since I had put off laundry for a while and had just started with the other died yep I have a bunch of laundry to try it out. Nope it isn't front loader as when the architect drew the design he just quickly wrote W and D well he really wrote D and W so they are reversed!!! Ugh. Didn't notice it till it was all installed and since they had to build a whole wall and chase for the dryer vent and had to re-configure my daughter's closet to do it - well to reverse it involves moving Two Walls! So just never have had the money to fix it. So can't do front loaders as their doors do not reverse. Anyway it is one of the new ones without an agitator and is supposedly high efficiency energy saver and such...
Glad your Mom is flying first class - they will take good care of her, well not that I actually know as I've never flown first class - hopefully one day.....

Stanzie - wallpaper removal is not one of my favorite things. I'm not crazy about painting either but I like the results. I really hate painting trim and doors because I can't ever seem to get a smooth enough finish. Even when I use the best brushes I can see brush strokes. We have exposed beams in our living room that were stained a soft gray-blue. The people we bought the house from got white paint (from the walls) on the beams and it took me several years to get rid of it without ruining the stained finish. I try to keep the walls touched up so I don't have to paint as often... Love the monkey story! When my daughters were 2 years and 2 ½ months I dressed them as The Princess and The Pea (baby Pia was a pea pod)... miss those days!
Kathy - hope your mom has a nice flight! Do something nice for yourself today.
DD2 just went in the pantry and yelled, "Heah, Mom! The pantry looks nice." Could it be that the paint problem resolved itself. She was kidding of course.

Good Morning Loungettes, missed you all in the last few days. I was crazy busy this weekend. We had Minors Days in the little town I live in and the kids and I were in the parade throwing candy from the float
. They had a blast with all their little friends calling out to them, then we had lots of events for both kids and adults alike. Then I had to get the kids ready to go to their papa and gigi's for the week then they are off to their dads the following week. Going to be weird not having them around for that long. I am heading to Victoria BC on Wed and will be there until sunday. Am really looking forward to the get away. Hopefully the weather will behave you never know on the coast. Kathy a twoonie is our version of a two dollar bill. It is a coin our one dollar is also a coin. Forgot you dont have those in the states lol maybe I will mail you one they are pretty cool.
Claire as I was reading through the posts you mentioned Eggs Benny and now I cant think of anything else...I LOVE EGGS BENNY.
LJ yep defenitly have some wobbly pops here in Canada lol. sometimes a few too many.

Kathy sorry your mom had to go today, glad she is going first class though how lovely I dont think I will ever get to go first class but hey you never know I could win the lotto then I could come and visit each and every one of you....a girl can dream.
Had radiation number 10 today, only 23 more to go.....yikes have a little bit of burning under my breast guess I have to try and find a sports bra that fits, I have still been wearing my underwire ones as the girls are a tad too big for the sport bra variety even with the half they took out of one.
Hope you all had a great weekend, hugs all around and a shot of sour puss just cause lol
and here is a little parting gift

Wahine-great pics! I am really having trouble picturing that area flooded, it must have been very surreal. It's amazing how a casino can decorate, isn't it?

Goldie-I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble keeping track of what day of the week it is! I just don't have any where near as good an excuse as you. And yes, yoga with a 3 yr old and 5 yr old is HILARIOUS! I think I got more exercise laughing than stretching and holding poses. . . WOW! What a pic of Harrahs. Surreal, just like I thought!

Claire-I'm still praying for the perfect job for you! Too funny putting the doggy with cabbage farts in the room with your father, even funnier that he never noticed!

AStorm-I think the cleaner brand is Mr. Clean. I think the white tornado was before the guy with the white shirt and ARM MUSCLES! But I could be wrong, I was just a child at the time, after all. . . .
Doing home care I've been the homes of bikers and others that I was a little scared of, and every time I have found them to be the most courteous and thoughtful people, even if the language was a little rough. Funny how life is like that.
Stanzie-If you can't do the word document thing, then try jotting notes on a piece of paper, then writing your post off that. Not that any of us can tell that you aren't saying everything you want to say, and it's not like all of us are perfect in that area! I'm hoping Junie will grant me some luck in the casino, but we're not going to be spending very much time in them this trip. Living in Vegas my cousin and her husband get lots of BOGO and half off show ticket coupons, so we're going to do more of that stuff. IN all the other trips we took there (before they moved out there) we would see one show, so we haven't seen a lot of the shows and things. Going to be a little different experience this time. It is going to be soooo nice to get away from Maine for a while, too! And yes, salt water will help dry up a shingles rash (and many others, too!) but docs don't tell people about that because they are conditioned to write prescriptions for things like Donboro's Solution, which is just weak bleach! AJAX is the white tornado, not Mr. Clean! That's right! Yeah Stanzie! Your poor Sister and BIL! Couldn't the clinic work them in somehow? Oh, there's the update. Phew. Glad he's got a plan in place now, even if it is a scary one.
We did see this one in Vegas:

And I really want to see this one:

Never seen this, yet:

DorK-glad I could entertain you! This weekend was pretty good but sort of chaotic, typical full moon weekend. Didn't need to do a lot of clean up work this am, so that's a plus! Amazing how much yanking and pulling they do during surgery, isn't it? Hang in there with that last Pratt brother. Everyone is different, I had one drain for 6 weeks after recon, and they only took it out because the stitch holding it broke. I had to change a wet dressing over that spot 3-4 x day for another couple of weeks. It will come out, I promise you!

Claire-sounds like you had a great cycling adventure! I'm laughing at the 3 people making coffee scene, me here with FOUR ways to make coffee in my house! Good coffee is a wonderful luxury, to my mind!

Wahine-you may think I'm weird but I actually kind of like spending time in airports! I love checking out the different places to eat, getting a massage, trying fancy coffee drinks, and people watching. I'm sure if I traveled more often this wouldn't be such a treat, but I get to indulge again next month when I fly out to Vegas to see my cousin! I'm sure you mom had a great time, and you did, too!

AStorm-I can't get smooth finishes with paint brushes, either. I do trim with sponge "brushes" and it comes out much better. Not perfect, but better!

DOTD:Five Before Flying, (also good before Painting)
1/2 oz Southern Comfort
2 tsp Brandy
1/2 oz Bourbon
2 tsp White Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz Creme de Bananes
4 oz Coffee
2 oz Heavy CreamDirections
Pour the bourbon whiskey, Southern Comfort, creme de bananes, brandy, creme de cacao and coffee into an Irish coffee cup or glass. Pour the cream carefully over the back of a teaspoon, so that it floats on top of the drink, and serve.

Hi everyone.....
Needed to share this picture, looking southwest to the San Juan Islands. This was a bicycle path and the most glorious vistas. - Claire

Beautiful picture, Claire.
NM, such funny cartoons! Love the $10 chg for oxy mask, except if they ever DO charge for it! Yeah, I am tired of hanging in airports....we used to travel almost non-stop. Back then we had the highest level w/ Delta, so flew 1st class a lot, and also got to use all of DL's airport lounges, which we did enjoy. Free drinks, computers, and in the LA one there are even showers. Now we are just barely medallion members, so only get 1st, if none of the higher members take it. For my mom's trip, I used miles for the upgrade to 1st.... her coach tix was SO expensive, so was glad to add 1st class to it, w/out more $. I know you will enjoy Vegas, and hope it won't be too hot in Sept, there. We also like to look at the conservatory area in the Bellagio, esp at Christmas, but it always has a nice, large display (free), year round. The cirque shows are always good, and a couple of trips ago we saw Ka (I got bored, but most people like it), and last time we saw "O" which we really liked (lots of water). I also liked the Crazy Horse show. And of course, all the free stuff I never get tired of, like the Bellagio fountains!
Kymn, Wow....you will be kidless for awhile, and bet you will have a blast! Your trip sounds like fun too. Lets see, almost 1/3 thru with rads....YAY....I'll dwink to that! Ohhhh what a yummy picture....is that a *bulge* I see?

Well, back to covering up this sofa. I am on the LAST seat cushion now, but then have to do the l upholstered areas on part of the frame (most is dark rattan). Not really happy with the fabric I bought, but was tired of trying so many different samples! Much easier to have several fabric books to choose from. Oh well....lots to do. Will join you all for Pau Hana later...
So, later gator....

Hello girlies,
I hope you are all having a super mmmmmmm......day before twosday!
NM, yay, you are in the lounge, I always miss you when you are working! Glad that the full moon has passed. I also think that the looonies really come out of the closet during the full moon! Loved all your pics and comments (as usual). Especially loved the comic of the dead man intruder with the caption "I told him to fart when burglars enter". Thanks for sharing your drain story, I will stop worrying about it and let it do its thing. It has gotten easier now that I have located my ON-Q fannie pouch to keep it in. I was pondering touching base with my PS today just to let them know what is happening. I sure hope to have it out before I travel next week. I will have to tell the TSA people to watch where they touch as I have been sliced n diced.
Gail, so glad you hear that your DH is turning around and actually showing you that he cares about you and that you talked about your BC. What a sweet story about your night out with the single folks and that he is glad to have you. I am happy for you, girl!
Stanzie, congrats on the new washer. I agree that if anything is wrong, it will be evident as you catch up on the laundry. I would do the same thing to save a wad of bills!
Kathy, I bet you are missing your mom. Do let us know when you find out she arrived home safely. Thanks again for sharing so many Mom stories, it really did affect my decision to visit my parents. I will not be coming home until the day before I am due back to work. I mean Stella will return, oops. I have to remember to keep my mouth shut about this when I get back to work. Still hoping for an extension, God knows, I hate that place and I'd rather be at home drinking with you girls!
Claire, 80 miles?? I would be lucky to do 8 miles! Are you sure you are not part machine lol! Gorgeous pic you posted, keep up the good work. I guess your ankle feels all better, yes?
Lori, where are you today, I was looking for you this morning. And have you heard from Jeanie Beanie? I am so worried that she is in a funk...still hoping she is just busy. We need to make a lounge rule about going MIA for too long. Hmm, how to enforce it? Send the new hunk that Kymn brought in to ensure all is well? Oh baby, I would hide just to have him come to me! Oh yeah.
And congrats Kymn on ten down, clapping I am!! I hope you enjoy your time without the kids and hang with us more!
I saw the hand surgeon today and sure enough, I will need surgery to correct my issue with numbness and weakness. The doc could look at my hand and see the damage. Still not sure if BC related. He diagnosed me with cubital tunnel syndrome which is entrapment of the ulnar nerve. I was suprised to find that the surgery site will be my elbow and not my hand. I have to have an xray and another test first before I can set anything up. Geez, I think my employer will be happy to hear I am having yet another surgery in additional to the upcoming exchange. Maybe I will get employee of the year? hehehe! Seriously though, I might as well take care of everything I can since I have met my 10k cap on out of pocket. I am still elated about that and can not believe after all the whining I did on the job that no one figured this out or no one bothered to tell me, we all have the same POS insurance plan. I would have had the xray today on sight but no, CIGNA has to send me somewhere else to make it inconvenient. Oh, don't get me started....oops, who got me started?
Time for a drinky but I am waiting on delivery of my big bottle of booze, been out since Saturday but had two at my sisters last night. It is happy hour, who's in??? I lift my cyber glass to toast each of you wonderful gals! Please allow me to say I love you all!
CheerZ!

NM - Thanks I will try at least taking notes next time but this is just a quick pop in....
DorK - at first my PS said it was just swelling and the BS said it was the muscle but in March he said when he tunnelled the muscle he caught fat up and it got stuck above the muscle under my arms. The weird part is the side(rt) wher the lymph node was removed is not nearly as bad as the other side. The RT side looks like the breast just keeps going under my arm but it is squishier than the other side. Now the left side has more of a definite bulge above the muscle and it squished up under my arm and is hard and sore and painful. Trying to wear a bra is awful as it cuts into the muscle and fat and is just painful - it also makes me look like I'm about 70 lbs overweight at my breasts having these bulges of skin..... I just feel so ugly and old, it is miserable! The other thing is on my left side there is a dent in my breast. Originally he said oh that happens as the implant is a circle so the dent is where is doesn't fill in. Well, I found if I take my hand and squeeze the bulges back then there really wouldn't be a dent it would be where a "normal"breast ends. I showed my PS and he agreed losing the extra fat bulge would make them look like normal breasts - but still not covered.... gee thanks! Worst part is he originally said it would be covered, I guess that really made it worse. Sometimes it all is too overwhelming so many things going wrong with this house, feeling depressed and all but then at the same time - I think well just need to concentrate on what is good and more than anything enjoy my kids as it won't be long before they are gone - Now that is what really scares me so otherwise I'll just deal with it best I can.....
Oh the movie The Help is wonderful! I cried many times - but it was really great - my kids really thought it was well done as well.

Thanks for asking about my ankle. Ever so much better. I was able to power walk last week, and not swollen after cycling two days in a row. Still a bit gingery getting moving on my bicycle, and hurt some times doing hills.
So thrilled to be on the mend.
There were some nights a month or so ago when I didn't sleep that well because of it. Seems to be moving forward healing really rapidly now. So glad!!!
Remember it needs to be in primo shape for ski season. - Claire

so girls, what would be the best sports bra to wear for us bustier girls, I have never bought one cause of lack of support but looks like I need to invest in one....all opinions appreciated
Pantz surprise me with something delicious and heck stick an umbrella in it too

Hi, just a quick hello to say I'm still alive...I am okay but very sad over some problems - not health problems. Just been to sad to even log on.
I think of you all every day and you are on my daily prayer list. I could use some prayers too to get through another tough time. Geez, the universe is infinitely creative...
Is it happy hour yet? I could use a big dwink...~Beanie

Kymm.......I bought two Donna Karan techno bras for surgery and have since recycled them as sports bras. Lots of support and no underwires. I wear them cycling and skiing.
In your shoes, I would go to Holt Renfrew and ask for help. I got mine fitted at Nordstrom. The "post surgical" stuff was awful, but fortunately, I saw these and knew what I needed. Then I got sexy camis to wear over. I have those too and wear sometimes.
Will join you in an umbrella potion.
p.s. I went to the sports places here in Seattle, and those were a major bust (no pun intended).

WooHoo Pau Hana time!!! Yay! DorK, did the likker arrive? Ya know we don't run out here at the HTL, don't ya? Plenty of Jack for you! My mom was funny in the VIP lounge....I may have said this already, and if so, I'm *you-know* (can't say the word but it starts with *s* and ends with *y*). She buys cheap scotch as she recently changed over to scotch. Well, she had Chivas at the bar, and commented about how good, and how smooth it was, OF course, they made the drinks super strong, so her head was spinning! But at least I know something to get her for her birthday. Any scotch dwinkers here? Is Chivas or Dewar's better, or something else I should look at?
DorK, that really sucks that *Stella* has to have surgery yet AGAIN! But, to get the numb hand taken care of, is worth it. IS it her right hand? Hoping her employer will be patient, and let her keep her contacts! Good you got your out-of-pocket taken care of! Maybe most of them do not get up to the 10k cap, so didn't know to mention it??? I got the ER bill and it was 6k, but we just pd $125 copay. Wonder if the ambulance bill will be separate? And haven't gotten the stress test bill yet, but our ins is pretty good. Nice that you have the ON-Q fannie pack to use for that last Pratt boy....I never was given one of those, so sewed pockets INSIDE large shirts that I bought, and I put the drains in those pockets. ALso bought "dusters" with pockets, for the drains.
Stanzie, Glad the movie was so good! Have you seen another PS for a 2nd opinion about how the fat got trapped under your arm? Since your dr admitted the fat got caught up in the muscle, maybe it is HIS fault, and he knows he can't submit a bill like that. But maybe another dr could submit a bill for taking care of something that was not done correctly. I mean, my PS was able to do a "revision" since I had some fat pockets settle on the sides. YOU SHOULD be able to get results that are the best they can be. Maybe call your ins co and tell them what happened?? Just hoping you can get it fixed!
Well, my mom should be landing in about 2 hrs. I have been watching the flight tracking. I have kept super busy today, which is what helps me when I might get sad. Also, not getting much sleep last night has me like a zombie. I NEED A DWINK!!! I like the one NM posted....Pants, puleez make me several of those yummy DOTD's!!!! Mahalo Nui Loa.
ChEARS,
Kathy

Oh Beanie!!!!! I'm so sorry!!! If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.....

Kymn- what about those Spanks bras. My sister bought one and she said it was too big for her so she gave it to me??? Ummm she is much larger than I am but ?? Anyway, I will say it was really comfortable to say the least - not sure about support as it wasn't the correct size but it was really comfortable. The other thing I'd suggest is perhaps those camisols which has a shelf bra - I lived in those and they were really comfortable.... Maybe the others can give you more specific information.
0 -
Kymn - just saw your note about a sports bra...the kind I've got are cotton and super comfy and I still wear mine loose as I'm still healing. I'm a lot bustier than the woman in the pic and I don't use these for exercise unless I have a tight leotard over to hold meselves in tight so I don't bounce. Anyway, these bras are just so comfortable for working at the computer, they offer some support and little discomfort...and the price is right. I usually just order online. I haven't been able to wear a regular bra yet and really don't miss them. Best of luck to you...

OOPS looks like I bumped into at least 3 of you gals! Took me so long to do my post, as DH interrupted (shame on him to come in here to talk to me! LOL).
Beans!!!!! You are IN da lounge!!! YAY! Yippee!!!! BUT I hate that you are down. You know we will pray for you, thats for sure. Please stick around, and maybe you will feel a little teeny bit bettah. You know we all love you and want you around even if your mood isn't sunny. And even if you can't be funny. And even with me making a "punnie". OH< that was baaaaad. Come on Beans, we need your neat sense of humor!!!!
Kymn, I threw out all my bras after my bilat and recon. I did get a couple of sports bras, just in case I need "covering up". Good luck!
OK, now for some serious dwinking......

awww, Beanie, sooo sawry you are having problems, wish there was sumting I could do for you to make the problems go away. For now, I will just head to the chapel and say a prayer that you feel better soon. thanks for checking in, doll, I have missed you so much. I am here for another happy hour, got my drink on, yeaH!
Wahine, Stella has the issue with her left hand but is right handed. The thing about this that drives me crazy is with typing. I am constantly putting the cap lock on instead of hitting "a" and it does slow me down quite a bit. I think I also lose more posts due to the numbness and hitting the wrong dern keys. I wish I knew what key I was hitting to make my posts nessapear. Perhaps I will start a thread on losing posts, it seems common.
Well I am off to the chapel to send word up to help our Beanie....feel better sister!

Stanzie, it sounds like we have a very similar issue. I did not realized with the dorsi that muscle was moved. I feel also that the muscle got stuck in my armpit and have a feeling that they had issues in the OR. No one has said anything other than that I am swollen. I know after nearly four weeks that should be gone. And my forearm was very bruised when I came out of surgery. My PS said that is because they had to roll me to tunnel the muscle. I just have a stinking feeling that I will also be stuck with my boob extended to my armpit. I can poke my armpit and feel the wooshing saline from the fill too. I fear what will happen when I get another fill. I pray that the armpit does not inflate, OMG! And I have not worn a "non-training" bra in over a year, since my bmx. They hurt me bad. A few months into having my implants which I got in December, I wore a "real" bra to work. I went to the ladies room and came out with it stuffed in my sock, it hurt too bad although I did look hot for uhhh an hour! I did not have to wear the compression bra this time so the last time I had a bra on was walking to the hospital on the day of my surgery. I HAD to wear it as I was missing a boob at the time. It is nice having something there but God, I pray that what I have is not what I am stuck with. I will have a lot of questions for my doc when I see him. I hate this too, you have my sympathy. Don't ever think you are not beautiful. I also think you are quite attractive and look great. No one notices these flaws as much as we do since we have to look at ourselves naked. Or the alternative, Kymn style is to tape newspaper on all mirrors. Hah, it was pathetic at the time but I now find it sort of humorous, sorry Kymn.
Kymn, one of my favorite cami bras is a coobie. You can find them on ebay. I like them as they are very comfy and have skinny straps. The other line I like, which I purchased from herroom.com is an Elita. Both are very soft and so comfy. Good luck in finding the perfect bra. I will be out there searching with you one of these days but I think it will be awhile. For now, I am braless, four weeks wednesday....here is to woman's lib hehe!
Stanzie, I almost missed your post since we got to a new page. I do hope you feel better soon. Try to take a day at a time, the kids will not be leaving anytime soon, enjoy them! Hugs to you!
I am feeling quite uncomfortable tonight and not sure why. I was sitting outdoors for a bit but got bitten up. Darn mosquitos suck. We had two days of very heavy rain. I guess my bones are feeling heavy and sore and I am itchy. I do not know what to do with myself other than lay down and watch TV...ughhh. Or make another drink and hope to feel better, weighing it.......

Oh dear Beans, here is a BIG (((HUG))) for you. Can you feel all of us girls wrapping our arms around you and holding you up? I hate it that you are so sad. Looks like you have been dwinking a lot from DorK's JD though......and go ahead, remember there are no hangovers here. I am glad you came back to the lounge though, as there is power in prayer, and power in all of us dwunks sending good vibes your way. Beans, beans beans, I just want things to go well for you again. Just give your DH a big kick in the head so he will come to his senses. Sheesh! It totally shocks me how many guys cannot stand by us when we are down. Now is when you need him to hold you up and comfort you. I am so sorry, and praying that things will work out.
Sending love and hugs to a bweast fwiend in need,
Kathy

Hugs to you Beanie- Do not believe it is possible not to like da Bean - no way not possible... I'm so sorry.
You know I've been thinking, Not only do I hate Cancer I'm really hating this Menopause thing and the hot flashes and not sleeping - that is really changing me as I can be so irritable and snappy....... My favorite past time has always been sleep and I hate that it is so hard now. The Melatonin does help but ugh!
Off to get son to school, take a walk and a swim and go help my music director as he puts it cut and paste paperdolls to make the composer's hand written notes readable for the choir - of course we end up talking more than working which always works for me! Hang in there Beanie - we love and adore you!!!!!
