YAY, so glad to hear from you NM. But hate hearing what your mom went through, even needing transfusions. Scary! Glad she is healing well, finally. And YOU TOO....sounds like we had more fun on your birthday than you did. Boy, having fluids...NOT FUN....I am glad to be on food again, but still taking it easy. GLAD you did NOT have pneumonia, but OMG you need some pampering now....seems like Pants if your fav tender? OK, done....Pants, you are hereby ordered to spend the day (and night!) pampering our NM like she has never been pampered before. OH, you say that is NOT an order....that you will willingly do that? Thats a good boy! We sure missed you NM, and it is great having you back in the lounge. Get LOTS of rest, ok? And if you get tired of fluids, having a teaspoon (or several) of honey sure helps give you some energy, that is if you are allowed to have it. It IS part of a clear liquid diet, I found out. Lori, Yummmmm Bubbly and Popsicles, all liquid...think we ALL can have that! My legs are doing well, my tummy is having some problems, guess I started on food too quickly, oh and the Seagrams/Diet prolly didn't help either! The big problem is my back...since I had to quit the mobic cold turkey....oh it hurts like H3LL. Can't see my spine dr till next month, then hoping to get on the schedule for a caudal epidural....steroids in spine....done is hosp under anesthesia, but sure helps for a few months. Cheers Dear!

Goldie - Tanks 4 sayin u miffed me...MIL and DH are estranged (DH was very abused by her as a child). On Valentine's Day she and her DH called with upsetting messages. They are toxic to us, so sent us both into hell for a while. Now bettah, just worried bout my bro and Dofey and my boob. I should start something called the Symptom deJour because every day there is some new thing on my bod that freaks me out that I have to get my poor dear DH to help calm me down about. I did my self exam (which I do ebbery month) and was concerned this time about a lump - it's been there but I got freaked out this time, so had my DH check wif me cuz he's not so emotional and he's psychic and felt the original alien and just has a 6th sense about dese tings. He calmed me down. Still upset about my bro who will need surg and plasic surg for a skin cancer. Then inlaws upset us last week. But that is a long boring story and I wouldn't tortue you with that unless you were way dwunk or already passed out.
Okay, I'm offering up THE CURE FOR THE SYMPTOM DEJOUR Punch Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 pounds sugar
2 gallons sherry
2 gallons brandy
6 gallons port
6 gallons ale
6 gallons champagne
40 lemons, sliced thin
2 rubber duckies
2 plastic cocktail cups
Directions:
Warm all ingredients to bath temp and pour all ingredients into bath except the champagne. Add lemon slices. Get naked and jump in the tub, then pour champagne over head. Splash around to mix. Use plastic cups to guzzle from and then play with rubber ducky till symptoms are all gone. You can bring a good friend too (that is why two cups and two duckies).

DorK.....I had my first revision on my implants 4 most post exchange....about 6 weeks post exchange, my implant went south...could of left it, but heck if I couldn't have my own middle age saggy boobs, then I wanted to be symmetrical....PS took out implant, sewed up the pocket, put a new impant in the pocket and stitched the pocket.....Then when I wanted new implants as I hated these....too perky for me, PS stitched the pocket even more....surgeires were like the exchange.....

Tied - saw a post from Goldie bout Claritin and L-Glutamine. I missed your question, but if it has to do with the GAWD AFWUL PAIN from the Nuelasta shots....then the antihistamine and ibupro the day of the shot and for 2 days thereafter, was what was prescribed for me. I took 2 Benedryl w/my ibu's (3). It did NOT stop the pain but DID help. I also took the L-Glutamine for the neuropathy. You can check the "chemo before, during, after' then look for Glutamine topic for more info. Also ref NM's post...I agree. As I am TP and I got all that info she is refering too. Knowing it will help you decipher stuff on these sites as it pertains to your DX. Hope this makes sense.

Lori sed...lets play video poker on one machine n win enuf to do a Casa Spa day tamary. WE WON! We dwank...we cabbed home w/a detour for burgers, fries, chicken at Micky D's. Monday...3 hours at da SPA....aaahhhhh! We stayed in Monday night n had Chinese n watched VOD movies. "Fireflies in the Garden" and "Dolphin Tail"
Tues...into Vegas for lunch with a diff girlfriend and her DH (from Bainbridge, WA) and her twin sister. Then my appt with the Cardo doc, then my Herceptin.
Today...laundry, bills, tax man, and some one on one with my DH. ALL GOOD!!!

Karen, Snow after a warmish day yesterday! And wind too....bet its purdy tho. I just saw the nat'l news and we are in the middle of a strong system for today and tonight that can bring 70mph winds, large hail, and tornadoes. Guess I'll stay close to the phone (we get weather alerts when it is in our immediate area, or coming to our area I should say). Used to pay for a service, and yesterday a new company offered it for free for the entire state. So we have dbl coverage...lol.
OK, I hear ya Lori and NM! LOL. I plan to call the Surgery Center tho and see if they have the signed report back, just don't care to deal with his office anymore....too stressful to get the run-around. Yeah, you're right NM....a$$hole dr!!!
Lori, the coconut soup is not very spicy, I think a T of asian spice in about 8 cups! It tastes almost like at our Thai place, but theirs IS spicier. Love it, but so rich and so filling....that is all we had for dinner, and not a whole bowl either! Our Thai place gives you a cup of coconut soup w/ any lunch entree....love going there! OH wait a minute, that pic of the cocktail is turning my tummy green....lol. Sounds yummy and lots of good likker in it, but I will hab to close mese eyes to dwink it. LOL.

I left a msg this ayem for my dr to call me, and of course no word, so I just called back, and said I need to talk to HIM. They got him on the phone but he is heading out to do another procedure, so he gave me his cell # and said to call him later tonight. I asked if he would have my records, etc., and he's like "Oh yeah I know that".....hmmmmmmm now dats why I wanted to have a dwink EURLY!!!
