    I made chicken and pastry,collards, and corn bread for dinner. Come have a bite or two. We can spend some time telling about great blessings we are given.

    I brought alittle apple pie and ice cream for desert. The dinner was great

    kbugmom and everyone that joined us. I will put a log of peace on the fire.

    Hope everyone enjoyed this quiet place.  We are so lucky to have this line.

    Good evening circle girls..........life can be so interesting.........I think that is why we all try so hard to survive..........when I joined bc.org some three years ago I had been lurking for sometime.......I had chemo first.......I didn't actually even understand what was happening but I was drawn to bc.org and when Gina started this thread it became my go to stalking thread............

    When I finally made my first post I felt like I knew all the girls here but they didn't know me.........I was watching women's lives unfold before my very eyes..........cancer, spouses, kids, parents.....friends.......or people that we thought were our friends but once we were dx they seemed to drift away.........and people that we didn't even really know that step up to our plates and made sure that we were taken care of during treatment..........

    There was a certain core group of women that I felt very close to when I started posting.......one was a very funny girl Denise.........when I first started posting in the circle we were having a very turbulate fall with lots of tornadoes.........I kept having to go to my master bedroom closet with my youngest daughter (oldest was away at college)two dogs, two cats and a hedgehog that to this day hates my guts............Denise sent me a refrigerator magnet Dorothy (from the wizard of oz) in the mail.........I have it stuck right here on my computer as I am typing...........it was so sweet..........

    At the time of the first Pinkstock Denise decides that she is going to diet and orders one of those diets that they send you the food..........they can be expensive........we all use to laugh because she said when her dear husband got the bill he would start chasing her.........I told her that was why she was losing weight.......it was from all the running while her husband chased her waving the VISA bill.........that is what we started calling her diet.........the VISA Diet........

    And Fred (Denise's husband) was a man after my own heart..........when her old worn out dryer would not work because the door wouldn't stay shut while the clothes tumbled  Fred went out to the garage and got a board and prop it against the dryer door so it would work........imagine that Denise was irritated because she just wanted a new dryer..........ha........so Denise this is for you...........(we also loved the priceless MC Commercials that were popular at the time).........

    so Denise this is for you and Fred...........

    Board for dryer that Fred got out in the garage to fix dryer door...............FREE

    Cost of new Dryer that Fred bought Denise after she accused him of being cheap........450.00

    Cost of Denise's diet that she charged on the VISA bill so she would look hot at Pinkstock.........1,230.00

    The love between a Man and his woman...........Priceless.............

    It is with a very sad heart that Fred is now in hospice at home..........Denise we here at the circle are praying for Fred that his journey is swift and that you know how much we all love you.........

    You keep telling us that it is going to be alright......it is just like you........we all don't even know what to do for you but you keep telling us that you are fine.........somehow in all the madness in  your life right now not only are you taking care of your man but you are taking care of us........how in the hell do you do that?.........you are one strong chica.....are you sure you are not Texan?.............love Shokk

    Shokk, that was beautiful--I remember seeing pics of the dryer "repair" on bco, and I remember hearing alot about the "Visa" diet ! 

    Denise, you amaze me. I read your posts, and cry with one sentence, and the next sentence, you have me laughing ! With all you're going through, I'm just so amazed that you still have that great sense of humor. We all love you, and Fred. Keeping you in my heart and prayers.

    Shokk, That was a beautiful post and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I still have the picture of the dryer and of the snake, I shall post them soon for the girls who don't remember.  And the Visa Diet...............hilarious.......especially since I've gained it all back twice now!

    Thank you all for your kindness.............Freds time is getting very close now, and I'm scared, sad, and pissed.

    Pretty much says it all.............I've made him promise me that past 3 nights that he won't pull any shenanigans on me while we are here alone at night.

    I believe it was Madison who told me that he would be seeing Cy and Deb in the Heavens.......Cy in the Glenda Skirt and Deb with a Blue 'rink' in her hand.  He's alse going to meet his step son for the first time...........might just send a note with him to give to my son.

    I don't get here much anymore.

    I just read about this sad news on FB. Please know my prayers and love are with you and Fred at this time.

    I know he will be greeted by those you have lost and gone before. There will be peace, no more pain and the comfort of heaven to welcome him.

    I can't imagine how hard this must be on you, sending you warm hugs and keeping you close.

    Neesie.. I sit here with tears and Bob looks over.. he knows... we fondly remember all of our family members "crazy" enough to come more than once.. and what a great thing Fred did letting you drag him to this little place in NY... and after the first year.. letting you come back...and coming with you..

    please let him know we  think of you both often...and you are always in our hearts

    My eyes are filled with tears as I slide up to the campfire yet again.  Gather closely friends as the weather is changing and days are shortening.  Sending you all hugs and love, especially to Neesie and Fred, but also to shokk, who so poignantly penned the above post.  Coffee or hot chocolate is on the fire.  Circle round.  Blue and Fred and Neesie you are in the middle of our campfire.  We are holding hands and praying for you.

    Oh cookies sound yummy....thanks Footprintangel.  Yes, kbugmom...do tell everyone about this wonderful group. We also have the birth of a new baby to celebrate.  Denise and Fred are the proud new grandparents of a beautiful baby girl.  She was born yesterday. What a blessing that Fred got to know his new grandbaby girl.  The circle of life continues....

    Oh a new baby. Now that will light up everyones world.

    I am feeling pretty well and I give God all the glory for this. Get scan next monday and results that thursday. Those two dates are two of my sons birthdays.So I am claiming only good things. Thankful we have our circle.
