     I read this and it seemed so appropriate that I had to share it. May it bring comfort to all who is in need.

    Robin what a lovely blessing.........it seems so fitting ........I know Nicki will be touched......

    Lisa I don't know if I have ever mentioned how much your photography has meant to me.........it is so beautiful.........

    Your Indian Picture did bring a smile to my face..........he is the Kokopelli Man in Indian folklore......

    He is the Don Juan Pied Piper of Indian legend..........he is an old man (the humped over back) that can play the "flute" so beautifully that he can seduce all the young Indian girls.......(he represents fertility)..........Nickster are you getting this????????.........I hope you are smiling......

    I also wonder if it is too late to learn to play the flute???????.......ha

    I am not sure if Nicki is reading but I am wondering if either Terry or Nicki's sister might be able to read her this thread......these lastest posts from her good friends........

    I would love for Robin's post to be read to her.........if she is having trouble reading and or seeing..........I think she would find great comfort in that blessing........and to know how much she means to the wagon circle..........and the wagon circle girls.........

    As I'm new to this circle, can anyone tell me about Nicki.  Most all of the posts refer to her and I joined recently and I'm not familiar with the situation.  She sounds like an inspiration.

    Nicki was, I think, about the fourth or fifth person to post in this tread when it began years ago.    She is a wonderful friend and been so supportive for so many people as they  battle  this beast.

    Denise .. it's good to see you posting here .. again, welcome to the Circle.

    Nicki started out her journey with Stage II cancer and two years ago she found out she had mets.  She's been on chemo ever since.  Recently, she decided to quit all chemo and go for quality of life in the time she has left.  She is currently in a hospice facility receiving rehab and pain management treatment.

    She's been a dear friend to so many of us for many many years.

    Wow, one thing for sure..........the Circle may lay dormant for sometime, but when someone is in need, we still band together.

    Hello to the oldies and Hello to the Newbies...................sending a Big Hug to Nicki and sure hope she sees that the thread is back and all are thinking of her.

     Now Shokk...........the fire needs stoking and I've got the munchies.............take charge my friend!

     DeniseDay if you go back to the beginning of this thread Nicki is Chemosabi.........you may also find some post of hers where she is palaminoridesagain.......

    she loves the Chicago Bears and Horse Racing........

    Denise I don't think it is a very good idea to put me in charge.........as many of the circle girls know I am pretty much full of hot air..........and some other things........

    but in the last few weeks since Nickster has stopped chemo I keep getting drawn back to this thread.......I have been reading from the beginning........it is like we have all been journaling our journey through this nightmare of a reality called breast cancer........

    there are posts that are cute, fun, sad, bad husbands and boyfriends, bad friends and good friends........bad doctors and good doctors.......

    DeniseDay there is a thread called Pinkstock.........it was several of the wagon circle girls that came together in New York for a couple of years in a row............so there were tragic times when we lost someone we cared about and then there are these joyous occasions where there was partying....... laughter, memories being made.......and it is all here........

    well ladies it is late..........

    this is the last place I come now before I go to sleep..........

    Nickster I am thinking about and praying for you everyday..........

    I think about you all of the time.........

    try and get some rest...........

     we have some storms north of the Red River that I am praying make it further south..........

    it is amazing how much of a weather barrier Lake Texoma is to us............

    Nickster I am praying that you're pain is being managed..........

    also praying for Terry and your sister.......they must be very worried about you.........

    it was homecoming dance night in my little town tonight.........

    saw some mighty handsome young men and some beautiful young ladies tonight on my street..........taking pictures...........

    I was going to say good evening but I think I should just say Good Morning..........

     Nickster the Bears won.........that makes two weeks in a row..........GO daBEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

     the Rangers won the 4th game so I think it is tied 2 to 2............

    just wanted to stop by before I go to bed and let you know I am thinking about you........

    the campfire feels good tonight...........

    Will Nickster it is late again tonight...........

    the Rangers won so now the World Series is 3 to 2 in favor of the Rangers.......

    it is very quiet around the campfire........it is always nice to see some familiar faces here..........

    a bit chilly but that makes the campfire so much nicer...........

     going to toss another log on to keep the fire burning through the night..........

    Nicki you get some rest..........I hope you are having some wonderful dreams..........

    Nicki and all the Circle Gals:   I never posted much on this thread in the past but I consider Nicki a dear and sweet friend and when I saw this post I just wanted to add in my voice and heart to say what a wonderful person our Nicki is.  As I said, I posted on bco since 2003 when first diagnosed and that is where I "met' Nicki.  We have kept up our friendship on Facebook but as I said, I just had to join in with you all in praying for and sending love to our gal!!!  Nicki - many hugs, prayers and love to you, sweetie!!  Love,

    Awww, I was saddened to read some of the recent news posted here. I remember many of you fondly. I am doing well. Max (the sheltie) keeps me walking but even he is slowing down a bit (he is 10 years old now, he was 4 when I got him right after chemo and radiation.)

    Need to buy a pumpkin and make pumpkin gingerbread. In the meantime hot cider will have to do...

     I know our time is short now..........you have no idea what our friendship has meant to me.......

    and I know I can't speak for the circle girls but I think it is obvious how much you have meant to so many........

    I am not sure why we clicked but we did and I will cherish our friendship always........

     I know you will soon be in the arms of your sister.........

    you haven't seen in some time.........

    I hope your new journey is beautiful..........

    O God, look with mercy on those who suffer, especially our sister NIcki, and heal their spirits. Restore hope for the desolate, give rest to the weary, comfort the sorrowful, be with the dying; and bring  them, finally to their rue heavenly home, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

    Hey, Nicki...

    This is the first time I've ever posted on the Wagon Circle thread, so I hope it's okay.

    I'm not a praying-type person.  I think I'll let others handle that, especially Chaplain -- she's so wonderful with her words.  I'll just tell you what I'm thinking.  You probably aren't reading what we're writing, but I hope you can feel the love and comfort reaching out to you from everyone who knows you or met you here.  Nicki, you've had such a very difficult time -- a truly sucky time -- but that time is nearly over, and you will be at peace.  Soft, warm, loving hugs to you...  ((((Nicki))))
