Great news, Tracey, you must be so relieved!
Deb, great to see you checking in. I know what you mean about life being crazy.
Our first 9 week report cards went home today. We had a few sad students, but for the most part they were pretty happy. My son, Joe, who is redoing his sophomore year due to some issues the last couple of years, got all A's and B's. I am so proud of him. He has really turned things around this year.
Hope you all have a great Friday night! Yeah it's Friday!

wow another quite day.
Has anyone here done the implants that they just fill? no expanders?
I have a gal in the CMF thread that is getting implants that the PS is putting in and then just filling. I told her I'd ask around.
She doesn't want to go to the recon thread cause it doesn't seem like most of the gals there are getting this type.
Hey Nicki, haven't seen you around much lately!
Charlene how you doing there girlfriend?
Amy how are you doing in your treatments and how is Tuckers arm doing?
Sure would love to see updated pictures of the "kids", ( mazer, Hey Jude and the pups)
Our pictures have had updates lately. When I get my other computer working again I'll try to put some I took today on. If I can get the computer working. Glad I was able to dig out this older one and it still works pretty good. Just hard to get to!
Gina how's your treatment going?
Vickie good to see you and what a DD you have getting those guys to wear Pink!
Think I'll go lay down for a bit and try to check in later tonight.
I'm going to the 14th annual Komen Survivors bruch tomorrow with a gal I met at the retreat last year! Will be great to see her again.
Hugs and prayers to all

Good evening sweet ladies...whew...TGIF!!
I am so tired. So glad the weekend is finally here.
Talked to DD...she is tired too...an exhausting day for her...they pushed pink all day in a major way. She had all her associates talking all about us, bc, testing, mammograms, early detection...the works. They sold tons of pink merchandise (that Walmart itself will donate the proceeds from) and she had her people making and selling pink ribbons in our honor. At last count they were over a hundred dollars, one man came up to her and shoved a handful of money at her and said "I don't need a ribbon...just take this for you cause". She had no idea how much he handed her, she just put it in the jug and went back to running...She will let us know what was made on the ribbon sales that will be sent to bco for the circle girls. She is very sorry she didn't get more pictures for me to post...It became pretty crazy and she was so busy that she just couldn't get a chance. She said that it was a beautiful thing to see though. She knows how we feel about the "pink" but wanted us to know that they pushed the "pink" for us today in the right way. And yes...I teared up too.Yea Tracey...happy dance your way! What great news.
I am way to tired to post so its off to bed for me. I am really tired of being tired LOL.
Sending love, hugs and wishes for sweet happy dreams to all of you tonight.
Oh...did I mention that we are building a winter lodge in the center of the circle with big comfy couches, a fireplace, big screen tv, pillows and blankets to cuddle with so we can all meet together and be out of the weather. Hot chocolate, coffee, snacks, donuts, everything you need will always be on hand.
See ya all in the morning...I'll make breakfast...how about sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs and cinnamon rolls with apple slices. Hot chocolate and lots of coffee.
Till then
Vickie

Good morning circle family,
Well it is pouring down rain on this end of the circle so I am going to make a mad dash to our new little lodge and sit on the comfy couch in front of the fireplace for some hot chocolate.

CY...How are you? Thinking and worrying about you daily. Sending up lots of prayers too.
Jasmine...where are you? No fair disappearing on us you know.

Hello to everyone. I love Halloween. Have a big week-end coming up. I would love to join your party, but I have 2 different parties to go to already this week-end. Have fun and enjoy.
CY: Hope your feeling better
Vickie: Hmmm how did your daughter get the Walmart to donate to bco? All the proceeds from our walmart is going to the Komen fund.
Enjoy this weekend

Nicki...my daughter did the pink ribbon thing on her own and was allowed to donate to her own cause since it was her project and idea. All the proceeds from the sale of Walmart merchandise will go to the Koman fund (plus...she's a manager and gets away with murder LOL).

Vickie, your daughter has sure been working hard. Cool she could choose where to send some of the money. I hope to post on the party thread, but haven't gotten any pics yet.
Kind of a quiet day here. Dh is home from work (on a SAT) and we are just vegging around the house in between doing laundry. It's kind of dreary out, but perfect for staying inside.
Have a great Saturday!

Hi I haven't been here in so long. Been working alot lately, trying to pay off these awful medical bills.
I have read back to Oct 22 so far.
Welcome to Gracie,Shrink and Maureen (hope I got that right)
Maureen, I had 33 rads right after 12tx of chemo. The only thing it did to me was make me extremely
fatigued. I had a lil burning but Dr gave me great stuff to put on it and it was gone in about 3 days.I finished rads this past March and my energy is back again.
Cal girls...I have thought of you often and hope you are safe.
Deb...so glad your markers are coming down. Wahoo!!!
Peter...glad to see you are still posting here
Charlene, thanks so much for suggesting the Eucerin calming cream---has made a world of difference in my skin
Susan, a very Happy belated Birthday
ok, going back to read. I will be back again
Hugs to all!!

Hi everyone...good to be home from the shelter and the house and pool are just dirty from the ash. At the moment I am doing a needed wash and dry..they asked us to conserve energy but I figured a Sat would be a good time to do it..CY glad your parents didn't have to evacuate...hope they are OK....how is your Dad doing??

Worse air quality day for us today. Ash everywhere. The clouds are keeping it all in. Went out to the desert yesterday where they moved our local HS football game to. It was so nice to have clear, warm, breathable air. First time in days that we don't hear the air tankers. Wonder what that means? It's so quiet. Kids can't go out and play. All sports cancelled. It's just so depressing here. Just dropped off more clothing for the fire victims. Can't imagine how they feel.

Hi Sheri...sweet dreams.
Hello to Candie...medical bills suck...I am so sick of my mailbox...I may blow it up myself.

hey Deb-
I am so sorry you are having a rough week. What are you able to eat? Try and add as much mild flavored, high calorie food as you can...cream, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter...see if any of those taste good to you. Try and eat VERY often. Even if it is just a few bites, eat every hour. Milkshakes and icecream before bed....a box of your favorite chocolates by your side. Have you tried Ensure or one of the meal replacement drinks? A milkshake made with Ensure instead of milk is high calorie.
I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs

Deb, I hope you can try to keep eating. You've been given some good advice, just keep getting down as much as you can.
I hope you are all having a good Sunday. It's a beautiful day here on this side of the circle. A little chilly, but blue skies and sunny. Nice after all the gloom we had last week. The boys are outside getting some fresh air.
Have a wonderful day.

Hey Deb- Good job on the breakfast. You have come to the right girl when it comes to adding pounds...I am an expert I wish you lived next door, I would cook for you and fatten ya up good
In all seriousness, I know how hard it is too eat when you don't feel well. Do you have an alarm on your watch or a kitchen timer you can set for an hour? If so, put it near you and every hour, eat something, even if you are not hungry. If you really are not up to eating, drink high calorie drinks....add cream and sugar to any drink. Make and old fashion Cream soda....put a 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 2 shot glasses of vanilla coffee syrup (or any flavor you like) in a big glass. Add crushed ice and soda water. It is soothing to drink and has a lot of calories. Think about tea with lots of honey, hot chocolate made with half-and-half instead of milk, floats and milkshakes...you can get lots of calories in liquid form. The important part is to eat as often as you can, at least once an hour.
Hang in there hon. I am sending you lots of hug and some chocolate kisses XOXO

We San Diego gals all got together for our Lunch Bunch today..
we had a great time...
0 -
It sure was fun. I love meeting with our San Diego bc.org group every month. This time we had 2 more new faces with Lini and Kaye joining us. They drove almost 2 hours each to be with us. I feel pretty special today. We spent almost 3 hours over lunch. Does anyone else want to join us next month?

I sure wish I could! A few years ago I would have been able to, but it's kind of a long drive for me now. You all look so wonderful. How great to spend time with each other, especially with all the trauma in CA these days. Lisa, keep posting your pictures of your meetings, they are so good.
