TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Myra: I want to officially say hello and make sure you feel right at home here at bco. Its a wonderful place. You will find alot of support here.
I dont get to stop by the circle very much, just have too many places to go and people to talk to lately. But in the spirit of this thread when it was first started I want to put a few of our friends in the middle of the circle. Right now they need our love and support. We need to comfort our precious sisters and their families.
...Cy - you are in the circle. The light of the fire is shining upon you and your family. We are standing together hand in hand sending lots of love your way.
...Slonedeb - we know you are strong and we know you are fighting. We are here for you. Can your here the voices? Can you feel the hugs? The light of the fire is shining brightly for you. There are hundreds of candles and we wont let the light go out.
...Watson - we have walked this long journey together. Now you face an even bigger battle and I just want you to know that your friends are with you every step of the way.
...Naniam - we will keep you safe until your tests on Monday. You need a little pampering anyways.
...Gina - Its been such a horrific year for you. Chemo for a second time and now RADS. There is a special wagon for you my friend. Filled with lots of love and support.
Love to everyone here at bco.

Good evening wagon circle...I too decided to pop in and say hello. I don't get here much either...too many to keep up with and hate to leave anyone out.
Hi Nicki...there sure are an awful lot that need to be in the center of the circle right now...what a comforting place it is to be. I remember circling the wagons, building the fires, someone would be cooking dinner, someone would be walking around checking on everyone, we'd see more "wagons" on the way to join us. We would decorate our wagons bright colors with lots of cool interiors. Showers in the waterfalls and lots of love.
Guess Nicki beat me at putting our girls in the center so I'll just agree and be so happy for those of you that are doing well...Amy...been praying and following your progress! I laugh every time I talk to Sarah and hear about her backyard goats.
Off I go...sending love and hugs from A to Z...will check in more often.

Sweet happy dreams to each and every one of you.

Hi,
Another 9-9 day at work today. 45 min to go.
Charlene, wow what a long word to spell. I wouldn't have a clue. What a smart girl! The tumor marker came back normal...18.7. Onc says that's in normal range.
Jas, oh Footloose..another good one
Myra, welcome! you will like it here...great love, support, hugs and friendship. Come on back and tell us a lil about yourself.
CMB,welcome back
Amy,hope you didn't have too hard of a day today
Hi Nickie and Vickie, so good to see the both of you posting here. Do visit us more often.
I went to my cardiologist appt today...echocardiogram was good. I am doing well he says so I don't have to have a stress test this year. I go back for checkup in 6 months. He said my cholesterol was a lil high...he couldn't understand why if I am taking the crestor...um..I told him I stopped taking it when he said last time that it was ok. Well, he says I have to continue to take it especially while I am on the arimidex as that can cause high cholesterol. ok ok, I will take it..lol. He was pleased to know I lost a whopping 4 lbs and I am exercising now. He's a cutie.
ok,friends, gonna say goodnite. Everyone from A to Z, you are in my prayers and may you all have a good night's sleep.
Hugs and Prayers,
Candie

Good evening Circle Ladies. Well, I'm sitting here waiting for a bunch of white stuff. They say its only going to the county north of me but we all know how that weather prediction goes. We always get enough just to make getting out miserable too.
Candie -- I like anything with Kevin Bacon in it. He's a really good character actor. I'm so glad you cardio appointment went well. I'm on the vytorin for high cholesterol but I have stopped taking it until the controversy over the new study that just came out gets cleared up. The vytorin really did a great job of lower my numbers but now they are saying it probably doesn't work any better than the older drugs. This could be big news because the older drugs have generic forms and are so much cheaper. It really gets hard knowing which way to turn anymore. So much confusing and contradictory information.
Angel -- It sounds like you are making great progress on getting your house fixed up. I need to make some changes in mine too but that will have to wait until later.
Amy -- I'm hoping for NED for you too.
Puppy -- that is great news on you not smoking. Way to go, girlfriend. I'm not doing so well on the soda front. One long commute to work and I'm back to sucking the soda down. Full octane. Of course, now I'm sitting here waiting for the snow to come in drinking cocoa coffee by the boatload.
Myra -- welcome to the circle. Grab your favorite beverage and find a comfortable chair.
Hello to anyone I missed.
You know, I sit here and read daily about all the misfortunes that some people seem to have over and over and over. It makes me sad that nothing good ever happens to them. Only one bad thing after another. I often wonder why some people only have bad things happen while I have so many good things. Today, I was clearing off my dining room table which is my paper clutter pile. Anything paper seems to land there. Bills, junk mail, to do lists, etc.
Anyway, while I was moving some things around, I found a check that I had forgotten about for quite a nice bit of money. Its been there a while, over a year. I figured that it was probably uncashable by this time, but I called the sender and they are cutting me a new check. It couldn't have happened at a better time. I don't want to make anyone feel bad but I am so thankful to have such a good and positive life.
P.S. Amy, my true southern butt isn't going anywhere near the north until the sun is above the equator again...like summer.

Oh, I drove a mazda 3 several years ago when I used a rental and I fell in love with it. I usually get small cars for the gas mileage since I sometimes have to commute. That little car drove so smooth, I really wanted one then.

Puppy .. Thank you for your kindness. Too funny about how you used to always post in caps! I hope you contact your doctor about your lump.
Candie .. Happy to hear about the tumor markers. Oops about the crestor! A cute doctor? Too bad you don't have to go back for 6 months huh? lol
Jasmine .. I'm with you on Kevin Bacon. Reading about your unexpected good fortune makes me smile. You are a good and deserving person, and obviously grateful. I'm so happy for you Jaz!
Hoping all my friends have a peaceful nights rest. My back and neck are screaming at me so I think I'll pour myself another glass of wine. M&M's sound good too. Goodnight all.

Jas - I have a Mazda 3. Love my little car. Gets fantastic gas mileage. Just right for what I need and great for when I go out of town. Congrats on the find. I too have a paper table. LOl
Hi Char, Cheryl, Candie and everyone else I have missed. I haven't posted much but do read.
Please keep my friend Teresa in your prayers. Things are rapidly going downhill for her. I'm afraid the end is near. Also, I'll be taking my aunt to OKC soon for an appointment. She has a very large mass on her thyroid. No reason to think it's malignant - just need to find out for sure.
Everyone take care and stay warm! It's cold, wet and white outside.

Liz -- I will keep your friend and your aunt in my prayers.

Hi came back on tonight to share a story with you all. Every year at our company Christmas party we play some sort of game. There are 4 prizes and the grand prize is an all expense trip to somewhere nice. 2 brothers own the business I work for and they are like 2 lil kids at the party. They look forward to it every year, as we all do.We have a cocktail hour and a great dinner. We are a small company...only 30 people and we are very closeknit. We have great times together. We go out to celebrate engagements, marriages, births and the like. They were all so supportive of me while I went through bc surgery, chemo and rads.
Anyway, at last year's party(Christmas 2006) the game for the night was bingo. We had to have 4 winners. To my amazement I was one of the 4. But Larry (one of the owners) did not stop there. It always alot of work for us to get to the grand winner...lol...and we hoot, hollar and scream til we get there. People from other parts of the restaurant always come to watch..we do a Kris Kringle too.
So after the 4 of us wona bingo game we had to stand in the middle of the room and were handed 5 cards each.We had to add up the cards. The we had to pass out the cards to the co-workers in the room. Then they had to pass the cards around to others until Larry said to stop. The we had to go pick 5 cards again from our coworkers.Add them up again. Now there were 4 boxes. The one with the lowest # had a choice of box #1 or an envelope. Mark chose the box....he won a stereo system. In the envelope was 300. in cash.Next was Rocco, he picked box #2, he won a GPS system...the envelope he passed up had 350.00. Chris took box#3, a dvd/vcr/cd system....he passed up 375.00. Well, now we all know that a trip is involved here, so everybody was hooting and yelling cause everyone is already on to the fact that I would be the winner of the trip. I chose the box...but it was very heavy and I am thinking..shoot I hope the trip is in here...crying all while I was doing this. Low and behold in the box was a picture of a beautiful beach scene and Larry had put weights in the box...lol. Now Larry made everyone guess where I would be going. The whole room was crying even my DH. I won an all expense trip for two, all inclusive including top shelf liquor and excursions to Cancun. I had never won anything like that in my life. My DH was trying so hard not to blink, cause the tears were right there. All of my coworkers were so kind..they were crying too. I was so overwhelmed and I said to Larry...I can't go now (the trip is usually booked for Feb.) as I was about to begin radiation in a few weeks. The day I won the trip, I had had my LAST chemo infusion. What a day to remember. He knew that I had a one in 30 chance of winning so he hadn't booked the trip. My dr.'s wanted me to wait til about 6 months after radiation to go so I would not be so fatigued and get to trulky enjoy the trip. Well, my DH and I are finally going...next Tues. Feb 5th to the 11th. I am so excited and now at work we have a count down going on cause we have all waited 13 months for me to able to do this. Oh by the way, the envelope I passed up had 400.00 in cash.
I am so fortunate to have won this trip. My DH and I would never be able to afford this. This bc has really put a cramp in our finances and we are just everyday working people. I don't like flying...I haven't flown since 1995 and swore I would never do it again...but by golly I am getting on that plane on Tues. with a lil help from my xanax. Also, I don't have to use my vacation days for this...these days are a freebie. Since we all help one another in our trials and tribulations in life....can you all hug me and be with me as I get on that plane? I know it sounds silly but it would help.
So I thought I would share this happy time with you. Thanks for taking the tine to read this long post. I try to find the happy things in life now since bc..they are there...just have to look for them. I look for them harder now than I ever did before. Friendship, love, these are the things that are important..and you are all important to me.
Sleep well...talk to you tomorrow.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Don't know why I'm up since my daughter has a 2-hour delay due to ice outside everywhere. I'd much rather it be snow than ice!
Candie: Wow, what an incredible story! You are a great storyteller and I am so thrilled for you and your vacation. I'm going to miss you while you're gone! I'm looking forward to getting some of that warm Cancun sun you're going to send our way! Enjoy every minute of it. You'll do fine on the plane but you're in my thoughts. Just take a xanax and you'll do great!
BMD: Happy to hear you have a Good busy going on in your life!
OMG, I just read this in the news: "angel kisses and hugs, Charlene0 -
MB: Wish I had a massage therapist...the number of knots always in my back and neck are astounding! It's not covered under my insurance unless I go through PT and get massage that way. It's on my list of things to accomplish this year!
