Glad you checked in, Sharon.  I was just thinking about you last night.  Weren't you concerned about a bruise a few weeks back?  I assume that has cleared up?  I hope so.  I like the idea of a lunch at the casino.

Karin - my bangs are getting a little longer.  Maybe by the end of the week - LOL.

Good luck with your tests, blackjack.  You are in my thoughts.

I'm nursing a cold, so I don't feel too hot today.   Didn't sleep much last night as it is at the scratchy throat point.  Oh well - I can handle a little cold.

Have a great day girls.  So nice to see the sun!

Good morning gals!  I'm thinking about all of you, but especially Blackjack with her biopsy today.....and hoping for the absolute best!  We'll be waiting for the results with you, Blackjack!

Laura, don't the days just fly by when you're so busy?  It seems that you just get started and the day is over!  Glad the foot is improving and hope you get that car ready to go.  We all need our "play time," and believe me, I've scheduled in lots of it!  LOL

Sharon, so nice to hear from you.  I loved the quote about the worry train.  I have a friend who is having a biopsy in 3 weeks and I'm going to steal your quote!  So glad that things are going well for you. I hope I get to see you again when you get back into the states in August.  Did you see a doctor over there yet?

Wendy, have that grill ready!  I think that today or tomorrow will be perfect for grilling out.  Rain is supposed to come into our area this weekend again.  So what fun things do you have planned for the day?

Michele...good to see your post.  We still need to come up with a time to hit the boat for a nice supper and a few tugs at the slot machine.  Let me know when you have a free night.  We have alot going on for a few weeks, but I haven't forgotten you!

Hi Leesa....Hang in there!  Thinking of you!

Hey Connie...It won't be too much longer and you'll have your kids home again every day!  You'll be super busy and Susan will have some leisure time!

Kater...did you ever have that date that you mentioned?

Smerf...I think that you are the person we should be talking to about wrinkles.  You look great!  You don't have a single wrinkle that I can see.  Wow!  I'm envious!

Hi to both Nancys.  I hope today is bright and sunny for both of you.

Nancy in Barrington, when are you done with your rads?  How's the skin holding out?  How about you Suzanne?

Karin...I'm sending some of the sunshine your way today.  Hope it makes it over the mountains!

Jackie...don't do too much.  You need to conserve your energy.  It is O.K. to grant yourself some "resting and leisure time" during all of this.  There will be plenty for you to do when you are finished with the treatments and you will feel more like doing things then.

Well, I'll check in later.  I have some things around here to do and then I'm heading for the golf course again.  Yesterday was windy but still very nice.  Today promises to be even better!

    Have a great day!

    Rita

Blackjack....Thinking of you, and hoping everything comes out fine on your us and biopsy.

Connie....Have you tried the flatiron on your bangs? My hairdresser used it to get every bit of length possible. When I tried it I would usually burn my forehead, red stripe drawing ever more attention to that wide, white space. But I'm very klutzy, and maybe you would do a better job of it. My daughters both use it without the need for burn ointment.

I have to do some serious cleaning for Passover dinner on Saturday.

To all....enjoy this beautiful day whatever you are doing!

blackjack - Did I miss something?...I scrolled back through some of the posts...you're having a biopsy? What, where, why!

Sharon - Good to hear from you...lunch, casino...I'm in!

Leesa - Hope you're feeling better! Thinking 'bout ya...

    GIRLZ -

Have a great day! Seems like it's gonna be a beauty! I'm working from home today...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

After seeing the latest Illinois Girl photos...I think I need to make another sign:

OK...boy am I having issues with this website today on both computers! ONly avatar that shows up is Connie's and when I am typing my post...the print is itty-bitty. And....it is so slow or shuts off with a longer post.

All I get with the avatar is the dreaded red X...anyone else having issues? Is it AOL?

    I hate technology.....

I don't know if it's aol or this site, but everything is coming up so slowly again today. I can see most avatars, but a few are the dreaded red x.

I'm going back to cleaning, and getting outside for at least some of this great day!

Just checking....now you can't post graphics either! I guess they never heard the old adage...."if it ain't broke...don't fix it"!

Blackjack...sending good thoughts your way today! Let us know soonest.

Smerf....yep, I did the flat iron thing too. I finally stopped when I got the 3rd burn on my forehead. Think I would have learned the first two times. Duh.

No grilling for me today...wind is HOWLING across my deck. I don't think the grill would stay lit and I really don't have time today to do the clean-up if I blow up the deck. Hmmmmmm....wait a minute....a concrete patio would be nice! Maybe I will light it up and wait for the BOOM.

    Sharon....good to hear from you.

I'll check back later...even the typing on this website is slow. Yikes.

Hello ladies glad to see everyone is doing well.

Happy B-Day to all that I have missed.

Janclare you go girl.  You worked it.  Made me jealous.  Wish I had been there to see it.  Enjoyed the pictures.

Connie hope you feel better real soon.  And good luck Blackjack my prayers are with you.

I am doing just fine.  Got my port out on Friday.  Was a little hesitant with not knowing if the spot on my lungs is for surely gone or not.  But by faith I know it is.  I asked the surgeon before he took it out what should I do.  He left it up to me.  So I told him to yank it.  And thats exactly what he did.  He was having a time trying to get the thing out I thought he was going to crack my collar bone.  He shot me so many times with the numbing solution because I kept feeling him poking me with the scaple.  He said a capsle had formed around it.  I kept it for a souvenier.  Tamoxifen seems to be doing it's job.  The hot flashes have gotten worse.  Any suggestions on dealing with them?  If this is a glimpse of what hell is like then I swear I will be good for the rest of my life.

Any who just wanted to check in and say hello to all of you, rita, Nancy, Smerf, Laura and all the rest of you tough and beautiful Illinois women.

Have a blessed day and enjoy the sunshine.

    Proud Ladies from Illinois!

Oh my, I have been away for a few days and I am totally out of the loop.

First of all, Blackjack, I too did not know about the biopsy   I am so with you mentally now that I do know.

JanClare, chic as ever.  I loved the look.  Thanks for the pictures.

Rita, that writing project sounds like fun.  I know you tried Freerice.org.  Now they have Freeflour.org.  Give it a try.

Wendy, that sweet mom from another thread is having health issues. I feel sad.  I could almost sense it coming.

Smerf, you look lovely.  I do have two lines on my face that I would love to stretch out.  Well, truth be told, I have many more than two.

Ladies in chemo.  TAKE CARE OF THOSE TEETH.  Brush those suckers ten times  a day, floss, and be sure you are gargling with an antibacterial mouthwash.  The chemo and the steroids can do a number on the gums and bones.  I am facing a summer of periodontal  work.  I still "caught it in time" due to a referral of my  conscientious dentist and I do not (at this time) need the surgical aspects of periodontal work.  I am getting something called "Deep" cleanings and it takes a lot of time and is very expensive (I have dental insurance, thank heavens).

When he told me I had all this work ahead of me, he commented that I was taking it well.  I guess once you have been told you have breast cancer, you are just not so agitated about the state of your teeth!

Arimidex girls, do we need to worry more about our teeth (bones) if we are on arimidex?   My periodontist just admitted he did not know the answer to that.  I know we have to have bone density tests.  Kater, I KNOW you will research  this for us.

I am getting ready for DH's bowling party on Sunday.  He and our friends are so bad at bowling that I found alternate types of games (Yahtze Bowling) so we can all experience a sense of proficiency.

I am missing so many lovely friends.  I will catch up later.

Have a great evening.  Black Jack, I am with you mentally. It is clear we all are!

    Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone got outside today and enjoyed the warm sunshine. Ahhh, spring is in the air and the flowers will be blooming soon. My koi fish are stirring in the pond..the one's I can see through all the muck in there. I can't wait to open the pond , but not until the first week of May...then I know the weather will be better for the fish.

As for me, I saw the md today and told me the lymph node was ok and the rt mamo was fine. All good news. yeh!!! Fast forward...I was really upset when I read the mamo report and called the rads md on it.

The rads md forgot to read the rt side even thou the order was for bil mamo and the tech took pics of both sides... they missed reading one side.

So, girls..make sure to get your reports and do your follow ups. You have to be proactive in your care..because only you know your own body..so take good care of it. This is one mistake that should not have happen for anyone.

Just wanted to check in and I will post later...thank you for all your concern and good wishes. Hugs to all of you...you are all so special to me..thanks again.

Rita-we'll get together one of these days!

    Connie-Hope you feel better soon.

blackjack - Woo Hoo! Way to go girl...

Sabrina - You're brave...like Michele...I was put under anasthes. and had it done in an operating room! I am a whimp - for sure! But doesn't it feel good to have it gone? I hated mine...it hurt the entire time! Port begone!

Michele - Yeah...I jokingly call Wendy Wendrew...don't know why...maybe because she's such a goof ball...our class clown! lol

I will definitely let you girls know when we'll be at the track. I need to make a few runs to acclimate myself to the new engine, though. I'm somewhat intimidated by it...but hopefully we'll get the Goat back soon, and I can start practicing all over again!

    -----------------------

Our dog trainer came again tonight (once a week)...Buddy is all freaked out! Oh gee...the poor, poor thing...had to learn to sit, drop and stay! lol All this training is so that we will eventually be able to have the basement cat move upstairs with us (so I don't have to go downstrairs 5 times a day). The trainer said we have to have full control of Buddy before he can help us with the "merge"! lol We also want to teach Buddy the bang, bang, bang, you're dead trick.

    Blackjack...good news!  Yea!

Susan, I will check out Freeflour.org as soon as I get a chance.  I like that type of thing.  I am still laughing at your bowling party Susan.  What a cute idea!

I am taking my youth group bowling on Sunday afternoon and then for pizza.  We only have a few more weeks before we break for summer vacation.  Although I love these kids and enjoy teaching them, I must say I am ready for "free Wednesday" nights!  It's a pretty long time to commit.

Today was lovely but VERY windy.  Did we have fun on the golf course!  We never knew where the ball would end up but we really didn't care.  It was so nice just to be out there having fun.

And naturally, I love the idea of lunch at the boat!   LOL  I also love the Starved Rock idea.

Hope that some of the sunshine got across those mountains to you, Karin!

Well, for those of you who haven't invested in a recliner, I recommend it!  That's where I'm heading.

I'm thinking about what to do for my DH's 50th. I'm not very creativeFrown.

Blackjack- so glad your test results came back good!

Can I ask you ladies, what kind of followups are your oncs doing after you finished your tx. My onc does not do any scans unless you have symptoms. I will be having mamo's and breast MRI's at my surgeons request.

(PS- Up late for me, woke up and couldn't fall back asleep, so I came to visit you guys. Anyone try melatonin for sleep? I have to check with the doc first. Kater where are you?Smile)

Things were going pretty well, now I know, because that has changed.

ONe of my best teacher friends is getting a divorce.

Was trying to hire a friend to track her hubby who needs a job and she's a priv. investigator

My niece just slashed her ankle? I dont understand why, she called 3 x tonight and was in such a good mood about catching a virus in her new laptop.

by the way, a virus came from jackie's mass email, beware...i sent her a note i think,

my mom has chemo tomorrow and i'm dreadnig the trip because sheHATES me literally hates me right now because i'd like to put a restraining order on her lawyer he is such a total @$#Q@$Q@#$@Q$Q@#$@#Q$@#Q$Q@#$@#Q$Q@#$#@$@#Q$#@$!$Q@#$@#Q$@#Q$@#$@$!

i hired my lawyer to find out what to do but she's busy till next week...

i would like to get his ASS

    what else?

my online latest chatter, hasnt called since sunday, I think someone sold him the book called "the rules"..when i had todo taxes he pouted he needed stress reliever to meet me....then when i was done with taxes he said, oh,

i'm busy now till next week.......

we are supposed to meet saturday..

sunday night he ended phone conv. with....talk to you tomorrow

(this is thursday, hmmmmm he doesnt email....does he realize i HAD A BOYFRIEND WHO DIED FROM AN ACCIDENT?) damn these guys!

and since he is hunt and peck, supposedly, he has not emailed for many many days so i stopped emailing him, too.

he was SURE we should meet! ha! girls, be glad you are married!!!

a new online singles.....hasnt emailed me yet (rita, you asked!)

he has it set up so ONLY girls who write they are looking for long term, can write him!

kind of fun figuring that out, but is that psycho or what?

i changed mine back to "friends" (looking for)....after i achieve my goal of saying my two cnets. ha!

michele did you think you would start such a rampage?

i also WENT TOTALLY BALISTIC when one of my sweetest cats the other night would not come down from basement ceiling and i started thinking she had urinated in my finished basement ceiling.

i was hollering and banging and esp. witching very very loudly about my old boyfriend contractor for leaving holes in the ceiling they can climb in!

also....i had to go outside and BREAK THE REST OF A GLASS door in my moms old garage door for lack of being able to drive my car on two wheels out of my moms yard the other day because i got a new car last week!!!!!!!

geez, i think i need my life coach back!!!!!

my rashes have stopped, but i got some weird ones before they stopped,...

one good thing, tonight i saw my CA 125 went down to 18, more normal....was up to 24 on scale of 0-21 but I was sure it was from ovaries out surgery......

    what else??!!

dang it, i sure was getting used to normal life....my niece just had a big change in her meds....bought them yesterday, she's been talk talk talking a stream, i hope my sister gets back to CA okay....she was supposed to call and now i wonder....

we took her to airport for 535 flight..
