Morning all! AGain...lots to do, but at least I am not cooking. Just want to say that for all you ladies who have to do the big cook tomorrow...please enlist some help so you guys can put your feet up!
Lisamed...Not sure exactly what time the lunch is but I know Blackjack got the room from 11:30 til 2:30. Would love it if you could take 1/2 day...even if you came around 12:30 or 1 I am sure we could save you a few scraps! Truthfully....we'll be gabbing for the first hour I am sure so the food won't start at 11:30 sharp anyway.
Blackjack..DD sleeping in this am is she? Funny story for you...I'll PM you later. Looks like it will be your iPod! Men are clueless sometimes. The bears got together last night and there are 10 on the list for the party and as most of them are small, I said that was OK.
Rita...enjoy your family!
WendyTY...good luck at your WAM party today! You are so lucky to have all those wonderful people in your life!
Jan...YAY!!!!!!!!!! And Yay for PORT B GONE!!!!
Laura...make any new trees? Post a pic of those...would love to see what they look like! Hey...do you have any of those birch log thingies? I can't seem to find anything I like for my dining room table...
Julie Chicago...enjoy your massage! I hear you with the kids. My nephew's wife took PTO this week to stay home with a 7 and 4 year old and I watched them yesterday for just a little bit. She actually sent them BOTH to bed yesterday afternoon...the tattling got to her. I just tell them "Knock it Off...Mama Winnie is so not kidding" and they do! Probably helps that I had Kelsy for her first two years and she knows if I ever start to count, if I ever even get past one, they are in trouble and she reminds her brother that Mama Winnie means it. I am such an evil baby-sitter!
Jule...7 down, 54 to go! ONLY KIDDING!!!!!! Rita described it perfectly...a slab of meat! But this is when Paris Hilton was in jail...so the techs (all male) and I had lots of laughs over that whole thing!
Gotta scoot....DH;s niece has her bil bx's on Monday...she never got the name of the procedure but since a surgeon is doing it in his office and she can drive herself...I am thinking core. He told her outright that she has a 48% chance that it is cancer, which infuriated me. Stats are good things to know, but come on! She is a Birad 4 so I guess he's right but I dearly love this girl and I just didn't like that statement. So...say a prayer for her, OK?
Love to you all.......

If we are ever to enjoy life, now is the time, not tomorrow or next year . . . Today should always be our most wonderful day."
-- Thomas Dreier
Good morning everyone as I make my doggies wait to be fed. Jule, it sounds like your rads are basically going well. Don't forget to use the lotion/cream----whatever they have given you. I think being faithful with that is probably the key. Towards the end I had a little "heat" show up but wasn't too bad. Glad it's going well.
JanClare.....Yah for you and what a relief. Now it may be easier yet to skip the Zoloft. Hope so, but whatever you need is ok..
Wendy....you sound like me. My kids, Jeff & Kate, knew when they heard the words "Knock it off" the time had come for them to DECIDE if they wanted to risk 10 more seconds of bad behavior. One time I left my kids in my Aunt's car ( she drove me to the drugstore ) and Jeff was she said, having a fit because I made the kids wait in the car with her. She said after a minute or two she turned around and stared real hard at Jeff. He sniffled a couple of times and said....." I got to knock it off now, don't I ". And so he did.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.......and if you've time cook as much as you can today so you can enjoy tomorrow a little more that would be a good thing. Talk to you soon.

Hi girls - just popping in to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your families and relax - we all deserve it.
We are headed up to MI tonight for just a quiet Thanksgiving with just the 4 of us. My family is going in all different directions that day and since DH is an only child, we went out with his parents on Saturday to Walter Payton's Roundhouse (Yum!). So, tomorrow I will be cooking a 10 lb bird just for us. I haven't cooked a turkey in about 15 years so I'm hoping I don't screw it up! They have a ton of snow up in MI already so the kids are looking forward to that. Our friends are coming up on Friday, so it should be a fun weekend.
So glad to hear about your scans JanClare! And the port removal - I was so glad to have that removed! I also like my oncologist, but wish my surgeon were my regular Dr. I do see him every 6 months so I like that.
Hugs to everyone else in treatment!

I nipped this out of the 2008 " Ain't It Great " site where Julie from Woodlawn posts. This is one of her posts. I thought it was pretty neat.

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I will be hosting but have PLENTY of help. As a matter of fact, what with all the help, I am just doing the turkey and rolls! We will have two cancer survivors at the table....me and our friend with colon cancer and this will be our second Thanksgiving since the DAY!
I put in for my personal day and requested the toughest sub on the list for our lunch date on the 8th for my 8th graders so I should be returning to something resembling sanity,
Connie, that Thanksgiving setting sounds ideal! Oh, how much fun!
Jan Clare, I am so happy for you! What a wonderful holiday this will be for you. Maybe you can recycle the prescription for the Zoloft with this new opportunity to be free of worry.
I am thinking of all of you, especially all in treatment. We have so many young women here with small children. With or without children, it is tough, but I so admire the strength of those who need to be the caregivers while enduring treatments. Keep forward thinking....next year it will be like Connie's Thanksgiving....just happiness!

Hey Wendy-- can I borrow you to babysit some time!!
Jan-- have been popping in every day to check on you results-- I second "YAY~~!!"
Kids and I had a full day, library, lunch, to theater to see Madagascar 2, out to dinner. Dinner was unplanned- went to Baker's Square to pick up the two pies I had ordered on line and was shocked to realize I couldn't even get into the parking lot! Had to park in an adjacent office park. The line for pies snaked around the entire inside of the restaurant, out the door and around the back of the building! There must have been over 100 people waiting! So called dh- he was on the way home from bookstore with kids- I thought I would only be making a quick stop- and he joined me. We sat down to dinner and the server brought the pies before we left. Clever me, huh. Got out of making dinner!
Will write about meeting with docs later. Everything is ok- but may be having third revision surgery end of December. Outpatient or maybe one night. Calmer about this as it's by choice and not an emergency situation this time. Maybe a bit soon- but do want to try and get it done before end of the year for insurance reasons.
Connie and Susan and everyone else cooking- hope the turkeys turn out great. I got off easy this year--- but it will be my turn next year!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Look forward to seeing everyone on the 8th!!

Ok --- I did it. I decided to try the cranberry pie recipe. I'm forever deciding on new recipes that NO ONE has tasted before. Guess it's a good way to figure if it really works or not. Should have made one ahead to try it beforehand.....then I could have taken something else if it didn't seem as yummy as the reviews. I'll never learn.....parts of me like to live dangerous anyway....but not too many and mainly when I'm cooking.
We did discover that we like cranberry sloppy joes that way....as well as the Butter finger cake I make.....and then there is the Grape Salad. I think I'll stop talking about food.....other than to say I did bake this pie in my toaster oven as my big oven is on the fritz. Good thing we were invited out....it definitely would have been a long haul in the kitchen for me with only a toaster oven. I did manage to bake some chocolate chip cookies this afternoon for our coffee break. They were yum.
Talk at ya later.
Happy Turkey Day.

Morning! Happy Thanksgiving to all......
Connie...your day sounds wonderful...just the 4 of you! Perfect.
Blackjack...thinking about you this am...such a beautiful sunrise. Are you up N?
Karin...what/where do you work that you have to go in today? Poor you!
Jackie...I'm sure your pie turned out great. Laughing tho at the picture of someone trying to cook thanksgiving dinner in a toaster oven!
Julieb...sure, I'll babysit for you, but your kids wouldn't like it much. Trust me...when Mama Winnie says "knock it off" she means "KNOCK IT OFF RIGHT NOW". Or...it's "butt in bed for 15". Whining, tantrums, tattling and crying are met with "that so does not work with Mama Winnie so...kinock it off, NOW". It works for me, probably cuz I can get away with it!
Hope everyone has a great day, and that you all are feeling super! My decorations are all up...just one stumble yesterday when the lighted garland around the door outside wouldn't all light and my gadget didn't fix it (the lights were about 10 yrs old) so had to run out to Walgreens. Tom is going into the city this am to watch football at the Boys Club...it's a tradition and he hasn't felt well enough the past 4 years to drive all the way there and stand around outside for 3 hours so I am happy that he is going. I am going to sit down and start on the Christmas cards for all of his staff.....or maybe just go back to bed with the first Harry Potter. My niece lent me all of them as I have never read them, or seen the movies. Decisions, decisions!
Hugs to all, and to all...a very Happy Turkey Day!

Forgot to tell you guys something funny....DH called the Coumadin Clinic late yesterday afternoon to make an appt for next week (this is at Central Dupage Hospital)....
Whoever closed the office yesterday inadvertently put in DH's cell # in as the forwarding # so whoever was calling the Coumadin clinic to leave messages for appts or to get results via computer, called Tom! It was CRAZY! And of course, Tom couldn't call anyone as he just kept getting himself! We finally called the hospital who called his Doc over there who called his nurse who luckily had the office mgr's # at home, who tried doing it over the phone but couldn't. So she is driving back this am to fix this. Very funny!!!!

- William Arthur Ward, 1921 - 1994
We hope that, when the insects take over the world, they will
remember with gratitude how we took them along on all our picnics.
- Bill Vaughan, 1915 - 1977Morning everyone. Hope you are looking forward ( even if you are cooking alot ) to this special day. It's a lot of work sometimes.....but it is a time to reflect a bit, and share in the warmth of a loving family. A pause from the hustle and bustle of everyday concerns ---- a time where hopefully peace and contentment can envelop you, at least for today. No matter what I have aways loved this day. The smells of the cooking, the laughter....and it did seem like everyone put their worries on hold to watch the parades and become inspired with the meaning of the day. Hope yours is spectacular.
Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings to all of you.
Love, Jackie

Happy Thanksgiving everyone - HUGS!!!!!!!

Hello~ ladies~! I hope everybody had good Thanksgiving~!
Thanks for the supports~! I had my second chemo last tuesday and got sick again for 5days.. I starting to hate chemo now.. And I had to buzz my lovely hair last weekend.. It was horrible and was every where in the house.. I got tears and my husband said, "your hair will grow back even stronger, don't worry" But still... I loved my hair very much and it was one of my favorite part beside my boobs.. I never thought I could loose hair like this.. After my husband gave me a buzz cut, my 2year son looked at me and said, "mom looks clean" how cute is that??
Next week my parents-in-laws coming for my younger son's first birthday~ They will help me for a week and my mom is coming too.. I haven't seen my mom almost 3years.. She is gotta fly long hours from Korea to Chicago.. I am excited to see my mom and she will stay with us until my chemo is done.. I have to strong for my mom because she will cry and cry when she sees me, omg...
My next chemo is on 4th... I love to meet the group on 8th but I don't know how sick I will be and how long..
Everybody sweet dreams~!

Morning! I am all nice and warm and cozy in my jammies....no Black Friday for me! I ordered the toys I needed from Amazon.com on Tuesday morning at 6am and they came via UPS Wed night at 7pm...how cool is that! And the shipping was free!
Hope your Turkey Day was a good one! Mine was crazy, but still a good time.
Elfsong...I am so sorry you are still having difficulty with nausea. PLEASE keep after the doc and nurses re. this problem. There are a number of drugs you can try. And I am happy that your Mom is coming. Nothing like a Mommy at times like this, no matter how old you get. And your hair? Well...it does grow back but doesn't help much today, does it? It's heart-breaking to say the least. It will grow back and it will be beautiful...and dare I say it...probably more so as you will appreciate it so much more. And it was so cute what your son said...Mommy looks clean! I loved that one! If you can come on the 8th, you will be so welcome!
Hope you all are having a great holiday weekend with those near and dear to you!

Morning all from me ( still stuffed ) from yesterday. Well, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving and even though Dh had to be to work this a.m. by 4:30 we totally enjoyed. Got to see nieces and nephews we don't see often as well as their of-spring. The ones I held in my arms as newborns when we first arrived back home here in Southern Illinois are now AHEM!!!!!! asking for laptops and other such gifts for Christmas. Pretty incredible to me to say the least. With the economy as is --- a few of those X-mas wishes will have to wait.
Today I will take the turkey carcass and make soup. Should be pretty darn good. Got some leftover veggies I brought home as well as pie. The cranberry pie was ok --- not as sweet as it should have been....next time I will put the amt. of sugar they call for. I was not impressed at all but since I love cranberry anything....may try one more.
Elfsong, I too am sorry to hear that your chemo is not treating you so well. I did notice for 5 or so days each time feeling a bit un-well, but it was quite tolerable once I got control of the nausea, so hopefully that will be the key for you as well. Like Wendy said --- keep after your medical team for the assistance you need with this. I'm glad you will get to see your in-laws and have your Mom with you through the rest of your chemo. While it may make her sad this is the way for you to get well and stay that way. Hopefully she will come to understand that it is a relatively short time to suffer for a lifetime of health afterward. I hope so for both your sakes.
Sun is out, not too much wind that I can see and soon soup will be bubbling on the stove. It is going to be a gorgeous day. Hope everyone has one and don't get too worn out from all the shopping. I don't think it will be nearly as crazy as last year. I am not doing much but I've never gone out on Black Friday before and not starting now either. Whatever you do today ENJOY and enjoy the leftovers too ---- yours hips wont' thank you maybe but your tummy will. See ya'll later.

Elf song, You are in the worse part of it now and it will be better when your mom comes to help. Do you get a wig? With your long sleek black hair you should be able to get a very good and natural-looking one. I personally feel you would look magnificent in colorful, silky scarves. I never had the knack of wrapping them, but someone around here will know.
Wendy, you will relate to this. My grandchild was approaching the fireplace and I jumped from my chair to the mantle....and yup...I pulled the back. Not too bad this time. If I am aggressive with ice and alleve, I will be able to move around tomorrow. I hope so as we have a play and dinner with friends and I hate being the one who cancels because of the back. On the positive side, Adeline was spared a burn and that was at the end of our wonderful dinner party.
Have a great day. Is everyone being more conservative in their gift giving this year? I heard a good thought. It is not the "stuff" you give but the thoughtfulness of one special gift and how it is presented.
Jackie, your thoughts were so lovely. Amen, girl! We have a lot to be thankful for and all things we face that are bad, do pass with time and are easier with support ...even the damn back.

Good afternoon everyone!
My son and dil have hit the stores for Black Friday and the little boys and I are just hanging out at the house. They are currently napping so Grandma has some computer time. LOL I hope everybody's holiday was as nice as ours!
Elfsong...I'm so glad that your mom is coming. You need each other right now. You will draw strength from each other. As for the nausea, be sure to tell the oncologist or the nurses about it. If it continues, call right away and ask them to change the medication. There are a host of anti-nausea meds out there and some work better than others. There is something that they can give you that will work for you. Do not suffer continuously with this. HUGS! I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time.
Susan, I'm so glad that you're going to be joining us on the 8th! It will be good to see you again.
Wendy the Younger's benefit for our Community Cancer Center went very well. I haven't heard exactly how much was money was raised, but the cash box was pretty full! Hopefully this event was the first of many annual benefits.
Gosh Wendy! I taught for 33 years at the same school. At first we got cards (and sometimes a turkey or ham) from the school district. However, I never got a card from my supt. in all those years. Just goes to show you that I must have been working in the wrong place! That's really nice that your hubby does that for his staff.
Connie...I hope you enjoyed your special family Thanksgiving!
Karin...I imagine that you're cooking right now! Have a good one!
Well, I have a few other things to do before the troops are up and moving so I'd better get off here.
Catch you again tomorrow!
Rita

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!...lots to be thankful for - this year and every year! Gawd...the last two-3 days have been a whirlwind... my mom, sis, my bro & his gf (she flew in from NY), my 3 nieces, all came here. dh and I cooked all Wednesday night and yesterday morning. Our dinner turned out great. AND THEN...everyone slept overnight! lol It's become a tradition. We had a fire going, played games and watched reruns of Scare Tactics...AND THEN... this morning dh cooked us all breakfast: omelettes, e-muffins, hash browns, YUM! From what I read here, everyone had a great day.
And... thanks for all your posts about our fame with the GOAT...can't wait to see what they do with the article and photos... you never quite know!...don't forget...I was in advertising for MANY years.! Yikes...gawd only knows!
Hey and btw...I am almost done with the Trinket Tree. I couldn't find "just the right" base to put it on... but think I have found one. I'll photog it later.
LittleC - Are you doing okay?
rita - You're a brave soul headin out on black Friday!
blackjack - glad your kids came in town. Are you done with your x-mas decorations? Your fall ones were gorgeous... I like how you did the harvest on the dining room table.
Wendy - Is that Tom looking under the stove? LOL TOO FUNNY - AND... I can't believe that about the clinic! OMG... only you two!
EVERYONE - have a great evening...

Happy post-T-Day everyone!
My PC is still out of commision, so I'm using my daughter's <incredibly sloooow> PC to touch base with usual internet haunts.
I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to make the luncheon to meet everyone. Maybe I'll get lucky and my pre- and post- lunch appointments will cancel. Yeah..not likely. It's a shame though, because Wildfire is only 15 minutes or so from where I work!
Since we always host Christmas for the whole clan, we went to my in-laws for T-giving. It's great not having to do all that cooking and cleaning, but I do miss having lots of leftovers to pick at.
Went to see "4 Christmases" tonight with the DH and both kids. Very funny! We all enjoyed it. My son is still sore from getting his wisdom teeth out this past Monday but he is getting better which is good since he goes back to school on Sunday.
Wendy - Centennial is one of the few grade schools in Bartlett that my kids did not attend. Since this is our second house here, and because of the boundary changes, my kids attended Eastview, Sycamore Trails, Wayne, and Hawk Hollow before they were finished with grade school.
Elf Song - I'm so sorry about your hair. It's a loss that we can all relate with. I had a phenomenal wig, and that did help, but it's still a trauma that's hard to describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it. It does come back, and you have to continue to remind yourself of that, even though it seems like that's so far away right now. I'm so glad your mother is coming to be with you.
Juliechicago - I'm seeing Fenner tomorrow morning for my consult. Good luck with your revision. Since I'm having my mammo and this BSGI test done at the end of Dec., I won't be scheduling any kind of revision surgery until early in the new year.
Have a great weekend, ladies. Hopefully, I'll be able to wrestle my dd for the PC again sometime soon.

Morning! I hear snow is coming....maybe. My snowblower may be ready, but I'm not!
Susan...how's the back? Mine has been pretty OK these last 2 days. Back pain is nasty, isn't it! Affects everything you do...even turning over in bed can wake you up. Hopefully the Aleve is doing it's job. That works well for me too. Nice little blue pill.
LittleC....haven't heard from you. Are you OK? We are all getting a bit concerned.
Rene23...sorry you can't sneak away for lunch. Yikes...lots of schools for your kids! DH had been at Centennial for more than a few years and he really likes it there. Close to our house too, but we actually live in the St Charles SD...he didn't want to buy and end up living next door to a student!
Rita....DH has always sent out Christmas cards. He also sends Thank You cards when one of his staff goes above and beyond. He also does "staff member of the week" which entitles them to park next to the Principals spot, right in front of the doors. Also gives that member a lottery ticket. Nope...no one has ever won. He appreciates his staff, and they all seem to like him, like working at his school. They never want to transfer to a different school...even if they move.
Laura...OK, I have to ask. What the heck are e-muffins? Muffins you get in e-mail????
Just a comment back to Susan re: gift-giving this year. I'm pretty much spending the same BUT....all cash except for what I ordered from amazon.com so no bills for us in January! DH took me to NaHoku to look at jewelry (it's a Hawaiian jewelry store at Woodfield) as he usually buys me a piece but this year as the last 2 years I'm just not interested in more jewelry. Just not important to me anymore. I am thankful for the pieces I do have but there are other things I wish for...like good health and a joyful heart and that you can't buy in a jewelry store!

Mornin'! I awoke to the weather report! Wendrew's right.... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...supposedly - we're gonna get some white stuff mixed with a dallop of wind and blended with some cold temps... I hate that recipe! LOL Oh well... buckle up... this may be the start of a long and cold winter... although this is the kick in the butt I need to get the outside decors out and arranged.
Wendrew - Oh come on! e-muffins = english muffins! lol
elfsong - Sorry - losing your hair is traumatic... my suggestion: get a short, sassy, sexy wig (maybe even try one in blond or red - check out paulayoung.com)! In a style you would typically not consider... you may be surprised! And if nothing else... perhaps it will give you a little entertainment... hope you feel a little better every day.
------------------------------
My latest creation is done! And it's a beauty! Keep in mind the scale... each one of the gifts that I hand wrapped that are around the bottom of the tree are only 1" wide by 1.5" long... I used empty match boxes. Also... just fyi... the photo frame with Elvis's photo is only a half an inch wide (the recipient is a big Elvis fan)... I add family photos and things relating to the recipient's life. (This creation is a going to be a pricey one... but I warned my friend!) AND MAN of MAN --- my fingers will never be the same.! LOL That hot glue gun... when you're using it to glue on things smaller than the fingernail on my pinkie... OUCHY - WOW - WOW! (These photos - however - do not do it justice.)

"Life in itself is an empty canvas, it becomes whatsoever you paint on it. You can paint misery, you can paint bliss. This freedom is your glory."
Osho
Laura...the tree is incredible. You have outdone yourself......well that is until the next time. Your friend should be very thrilled -- even paying for an LV creation. It is stunning.
Wendy, I think the minute I started reading your last paragraph I knew very well what was coming. Sort of the same idea about my "warehouse" full of unused things at my house but in reverse. I also find myself not really wanting much anymore as things are just things and have very little to do with having a happy and fulfilling life. I am not shopping this year outside of the office gift for the round robin game we play. Actually I had already started buying things for people......just whenever, which more than anything means if I have the money and it feels right.
Anyway, I do relate to seeing this season as a time to celebrate life in the spirit....I am just glad to be here and more than ever inspired to make my mark on the world even if it is a very, very small one. I will be happy and content trying in whatever way presents itself, to do what I can in a kind and humble way to make the life of those around me better --- even if today all I have is a smile and kind word. I will attempt to be good to the earth ( here's where my recycling efforts come in ) and keep it healthy too. I won't fill my life with things, but with love and care, enthusiasm and laughter, and other such treasures and share them all.
Hope you all have a fantastic day today....even though we are not looking forward to the brrrr weather trying to show up. Today I'm baking chocolate chip cookies for a friend in my toaster oven. Tomorrow I'm going to take another gal shopping who does not have her car registered or licensed yet. I took her to get her license ( she had to take the test and drive as well ) before I went on vacation. I'm off to start my day. Have a great one. I'll be checking back in later.

Morning Girls......It is a snowing here. Dh and youngest son are out shoveling but it won't do too much good since it is still snowing. Oh well they are having fun.
We had a great Thanksgiving. I didn't have to cook at all. My girlfriend invited all of us to her house along with her 5 kids/2 grandkids/her mother/her friend and the 5 of us. We had a good time and ate too much food. The next morning, my daughter and I got up at 4:00am and went shopping. We started at Kohls but the lines were crazy, we opted out and went to Bergners which wasn't bad at all. Then off to Walmart, which was crazy. People are so rude!!!!!!! We went in and got what we were there for and left. I was home by 6:30am. Went back to bed and then got up at 8:30 and got dressed and went out by myself. I had a good time but I was pooped by the time I got home. We got Chinese for dinner. We went to Best Buy later and ended up buying Rock Band for WII. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but kids convinced us to open it now and for Christmas we would go volunteer somewhere. It didn't take too much convincing. We played til midnight.
Saturday we went to Dunlap to friends for dinner. We had a good time. I really havn't had to cook the past few days which has been nice.
Jan...glad to hear that your scans are clear. What a relief.
WendyTy..glad to hear that your fundraiser went well...I was working Wednesday night otherwise I would have come to help out. Maybe next year.
My daughter moved back home last week. She wants to get focused on what she wants to do so she decided to move back here away from all the distractions in Florida. She plans on going into the Air Force the first part of next year. I think it will do her good. She still is doing her therapy long distance. She calls them everyday and then she will be having random blood tests here in town to make sure she isn't drinking. The boys are glad that she is here. They have missed their sister as well as myself and my husband...
My news is that I have lymphdema and going to a therapist 2 times a week. My range of motion in my left shoulder is really bad. So we are working to get the fluid levels down and stretching the chest wall area. I also have some lymphdema in my right arm. So I am to get this better. Once the swelling is down, I will get a compression sleeve. What fun...
Well....gotta get ready for Church. Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday the 8th...

The back rallied, Wendy, with a day of ice and rest. I went to the play last night with our firends and was fine. I am "lucky" in that it is not that bad. When it acts up, I am indeed in pain, but if I ice and rest and do the pills, within 24 hours I am okay. I need to do my exercises and lose a ton of weight so it is not chronic.
Ginny, it must be nice to have your daughter back so that you can help her reach her goals and face her challenges.
Rita, I have 80 report cards to do today! It is times like this that I know I am ready for the big R.
Hope all have a wonderful day.

Hi. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I just got back last night after visiting the family in Springfield.
Elf_song, I am so glad to hear that your mom will be there to help you. I know that right now is very tough, but know that you can get through this. Your body is just fighting really hard to get rid of the cancer, and unfortunately good cells will have to go as well. If interested I would see about a wig or a couple of hats. I have been pretty cold without my hair. There is a wonderful store in Willowbrook that does fittings...the staff is wonderful. It is also how amazing fast your hair starts growing back. I had stubble in September, and now I have at least 1 1/2 inches. Best of luck to you and know that we are all hear for you.
Ginny, sorry to hear about the lymphadema. I hope that the exercises and sleeve with help.

It's officially Christmas season here! We had our Thanksgiving yesterday. It was so nice to have family all together! Now down with the "Fall" decorations and up with MY Christmas! I guess I do kinda go overboard with the outside lights....... almost all our outside lights are controlled by my computer. It's fun to program the lights to music!
I better get my house cleaned.....everyone have a great relaxing Sunday!
