Morning all....-2.3 on the deck this am but I see a mid-week thaw coming so hang in there, girls!
Buddy...still laughing! No...my house is not "House Beautiful" just home! I throw things away quite regularly but DH does not. I really haven't done this much closet clean-out since we moved out here almost 9 years ago so it was past time. One thing I was looking at was having the master closet done as I know the space was ill-used. HOWEVER....wow. Very expensive for us altho DH said go for it. I did look at easyclosets.com where you design what you want and they deliver it and also buy it yourself from Lowe's but then....I shouldn't be lifting all that stuff and while I have the knowledge to install, once again...from my back's aspect, shouldn't be doing that either. So.....and listen up girls....I bought those "skinny" hangers...just 50 of them to see if they really maximized space. And...they did! Wow. I changed the whole closet around, bought 150 more hangers and I am not kidding...I have almost doubled my hanging space (also added one of those double rod thingies). So...for about $125. total (also includes some bins for the shelves) my closet looks brand new! The hangers I found on clearance at Bed,Bath and Beyond - 50 for $20.99 and I had a 20% off coupone. Try them! Clothes don't slip off either.
Gee....that was a boring story....
Rene...glad that it was nothing more serious for you! I now work out on Randall Rd at Fitness 19...I think it is South Elgin. It is by no means a huge place but for only $12/month (we got a deal when our gym closed) it was a no-brainer. Also has little TV's on most of the cardio equip. so that works for me! I did check out LA Fitness but that wasn't me....they do have lots of classes tho...but in the evening when I don't like to work out...but would probably work for you. I do have a guest pass for Fitness 19 if you wanted to check it out some Sat am with me...but we would need to get there at least by 7:30 as it crowds up pretty well by 8:30-9. BUT...I think it's probably too far for you...maybe I am guessing 20 min. at least. Until the bridge is done that is!
Laura....Shelby will do fine! Does the HS have some type of assistance program? Which HS btw? You mentioned that you will miss DH when he goes back to work! That is great news about his new job! I am so happy for you guys! Whew!
Jackie...you do sound tired! Hopefully the weather will let up a bit for your ferals (and you!) Is your shower fixed yet? And I hear you about miserable weather and things going wrong in the house. Last Sunday am at 3:50am the CO2 detector starts beeping. Of course...low battery. And do I have another one...No...of course not. So took it apart and threw it in the sink. Then I went back upstairs, but wondering why it was a bit chilly even tho I know we have a set-back thermostat. So back down I go and of course....low battery! And it was 60 in the house! Thankfully those batteries I had and I went back to bed...of course, now wide awake! Jeepers. Like can't batteries go bad at 2pm when it is 65 out????? C'mon! Still remember going to the bsmt last summer the day before the day before vacay...and finding the big puddle under the hot water heater....figures.
Well...I think I had waaaay too much coffee this am...I am so chatty!
Susan...I hope you are feeling much better! And an "app" stands for an application that you can load onto an iPhone (or smart phone) so you can do stuff other than make calls! I have a bunch of them...a few are games but most are things like the Weather Channel, Google Earth. Next time I see you I will show you...fun stuff!
I know I've missed most of you but I hope you all have a great day. I will need to come back later...

Morning everyone -- oh Renee' very lucky you, with the Maine Coon. Even if it's only part -- you sound like you are getting the good part -- size. The other interesting thing about Maine Coons is that many are pterodactyl ( sp?). This means that they have a "thumb" at dew claw level, and most of them can use it just that way. In fact, many people get on waiting lists from cattery's that specialize a bit in pterodactyls. Thing is -- you don't know if that is what will come or not until the litter is born. It is never for sure. Figures I'd "reply" to cat first huh !!!!
One further thing -- I have a cat named Lily as well. Donated to me from the other secretary at work -- when I absolutely was not about to "take in" another cat. I gave her the middle name of Ann ( other secretarys' middle name ) and Lois is her official Godmother -- and Lily Ann expects nice cat treats, presents, etc from Godmother -- Lois, it's been awhile.
Thanks for the movie reviews. I was wondering about them myself -- though not much time to go to movies lately. Whew -- maybe they better not give me so much time off -- it is hard to go back and get back in the swing of things -- and now business is really slow. At least I was fortunate for that.
Another frosty, bitter day outside -- but aha!!!! they say around 40 by Wednesday -- we will have a great thaw and probably mud all over. Friend Maggie's kitchen floor is white and Diva comes in while I take care of the cat apt. There is lots of mopping in my future come Wednesday.
Wendy -- I have wondered myself about those hangars. Dh -- the never throw anything away unless it is someone else's guy keeps using up all the regular hangars I buy. Shhhh everyone, he is worse than any woman -- more clothes and shoes and undies -- he could go two months with me gone and only then maybe be out of gotchgies and socks. Makes you wonder what happened last life, doesn't it ????
Susan -- sure hope you are feeling better. I never did get that H1N1 so am hoping that I don't catch anything -- although for the most part I just don't seem to get that stuff or colds etc. I have credited that to working in negative conditions for so long -- feral cats etc. Also, all my cats here and I never stopped cleaning their litter trays etc. I think it has helped make me a hearty soul -- but that does not mean I don't sympathize with those who have had to put up with "flu". I can imagine -- .
Donna, I am so sorry about the fibromyalgia. I have known a couple of other people who had that and it was very debilitating for them and somewhat hard to get a handle on. I think most of the auto-immune diseases have some difficulties that way. Though not a big help -- at least you do have a diagnosis to work with and so -- a starting place. I know a gal who was taking something called Reliv" and she went from needing help to get out of bed to pretty much back to normal but she had to take a lot of that stuff.....and for a long while. So, it is possible to get it into remission or gone I guess. This is not an ad for the stuff -- more just wanted you to KNOW it can go away and that is what I certainly hope for you.
Hmmm -- speaking of things going wrong at in-opportune times. Today when I came back in from feeding the dogs....my zipper in my 12 yr. old coat gave up. So -- guess who will have to go coat shopping very soon. St. Clair Square --- hope you got something I like. That is really the pits, but the zipper has been hard to handle for a long, long time. Just that I hate to go shopping and as well -- that coat was about $100.00 12 years ago --- wonder what a "coat" will cost now. I may have to rob a bank on the way to the mall.
Renee.....the statistics do sound small for se's but it would still be un-nerving to a degree -- am hoping that you are able to manage things w/o more problems -- no wonder this is such a frustrating disease -- you have to treat se's for how long after.....sigh !!!
Hope you are all going to have a great week-end. I am going to try not to work too hard, but my list is longer than I would like. BTW --- thank god for the bathtub as shower is still not working. Dh is laughing at me ( a little ) as he says that it is the built-in hot water shut off that is not functioning correctly in the new shower single faucet that we bought --- I say it is in the pipes somewhere. The old faucet -- double handle was not working either. We have one of the tank-less water heaters and it is working fine -- so we will see. I normally only use the bath tub for soaking sore muscles -- not really for bathing --- but just glad there is something else. Dh hates it but that is good. He will use his day off and get something done with that shower --- or do I have to call a plumber. Hmmmm.
Anyway....stay warm if you go out and I will -- with the coat wrapped around me and not zipped. Have a great Saturday.
Hugs, Jackie

Feeling better...just hope I can face baby Henry again and not remember this awful flu. I forgot how sick you can feel. I am still not eating, bit unfortunately will soon enough.
Wendy, thanks for explaining apps...I need all the help I can get with tech. That sounds pretty basic so I may be in very bad shape.
I am really worried about Bustersmom as I imagine we all are, Let us huddle around her in prayers and thoughts that she is okay.
Laura, your niece strikes me as very articulate and intelligent.. The Catholic School of her choice will be thrilled to have her.
Have a good evening.

Thanks for thinking of Shelby! Positive "vibes" - in any form and IMO - really do help! lol
PJuliet - Just wanted to let you know I hope you're doing okay.
Susan - I was just thinking about you and wondering if you are feeling better. Glad to read that you are. It was SO nice of you to sit for baby Henry. I laughed out loud: ...just hope I can face baby Henry again... - OMG too funny! Hope you continue to feel better...baby steps as they say. And thanks! Yes...Shelby is always welcomed just about anywhere she goes.
-----------------------------
I spent a good portion of this day sitting in at a forum where some of the candidates spoke...gubernatorial, senatorial, congressional, etc. I am really educating myself so that I can make very well informed choices at the upcoming Feb 2nd primary. I also was trained last week to be an Election Poll Judge to work at my local polling place. The voting process is amazing! I had NO clue as to all that takes place - before, during and after the voting process. The reason I am sharing this with you girls is...if it's something you're interested in participating with, please feel free to PM me and I can give you the info. It pays pretty well and it's a great way to be a part of the process.
I would like to add - I will not talk specifically about candidates or politics at this thread or any thread - way too "touchy" of a subject these days.
---------------------------------------------
Hope you're all having a nice evening. Keep warm!

Hi Rita,
I also live in Bloomington, IL and had breast cancer. I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in 2/08.Had a 5 cm tumor and am HER+. Had six months of CTH with the Herceptin lasting for 12 full months. I had bilateral mastectomies with 15 lymph node dissection 7/08 followed by daily radiation treatments 8/08-10/08. I have been NED since 2/09. IBC is a rare bc but also aggressive. My treatments have been at the Community Cancer Center. I am due for my 3 month follow testing next week and see my onc the following week. I'm anxious to get to my 2 year mark as IBC has a high recurrence rate during the first two years that drops significantly after 2 years. It still has a dismal 40% five year survival rate but there are more and more women surviving far longer.
Where will you be having chemo? If no one has told you, there is a BC Support Group at the Community Cancer Center. It meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month 5:30-6:30.

Laura, good decision on the pm. I personally wish to keep this thread as "politics free" and keep it a safe place where we support each other with no knowledge of personal political affiliation. I personally am very concerned with important issues and how our state responds, but on this thread I will take pass on my views and just just give support to women andi men facing disease. Again, thanks for your discretion.
0 -
Susan - I TOTALLY AGREE! And thank you for taking the time to respond. Our thread here is one of support. And I totally love the fact that we can help each other along the way.

Oh and btw...I just talked to Shelby...she said the "test" was 'EASY". I just love her! Your positive "vibes" helped! Thanks so much!0
-
Go Shelby!
Zap-Glad you are feeling better, and hope you got my email.
Bustersmom- How's that little guy doing? He doesn't like the snow if I remember correctly! Hoping you are doing ok too! Think of you often. Post when you can.
Everyone stay warm, and have a nice weekend!

The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched. ~Henry David Thoreau0 -
Morning.....- 7.9 here this am but is warming rapidly....almost 4 now! AND.....it snowed by my SIL in Fl yesterday! And they are south of Cocoa Beach! Niece's car was encased in ice and none of them of course have ice scrapers! No winter coats! Their plants are all dead! They had a WINDCHILL yesterday!!!!! Jeepers.....
Just popped in quickly to see if Juliette had posted yet.....Hope you are OK....Hugs!
And Laura.....thanks for "no" views! I'm just glad that we all have some views...means we do pay attention to what's going on and that's what's important.
Off to see if the upstairs computer is working yet...won't connect to the internet. Another thing that is going bad......

Good morning everyone. The rugged weather continues but thank goodness the end is in sight ( I hope and pray the weathermen are not wrong ) and we will enjoy a veritable heat wave mid-week at around 40 degrees here.
I have some sad news to report. My sister-in-law Heidi passed away early in the morning yesterday morning. I think I mentioned she had severe arterial disease -- had heart bypasses and some in the legs, neck as well....needed others, but fell out of bed trying to hand a phone over to another patient and broke her hip....bones collapsed -- too soft, so after a couple of months the hardware and some of the bone was removed from the hip..... to await a possible "fix" much later.
Sadly, she spent the last 8 months of her life in nursing facilities. I'm sure her body -- with all the bad arterial damages and the lack of exercise and insult of all the needed surgeries just wore her body out. At the end she was filling with fluid as her body could no longer process the waste materials.
I do not see the cessation of life here the same as many. It to me just represents a brief interlude, and certainly releases our soul from worn out, and used up bodies and gives us the ability to seek what stance we will have in our eternal life. Having said that, I will, as I always do grieve the fact that there is no longer someone here I can physically feel or speak directly too. I am glad for the fact that the pain and distress of her daily life has to be suffered no more. Heidi was 54 years old.
On another subject -- I am happy as well that a few subjects are pretty much taboo here as I think it should be. Often money and politics cause much more grief than they are truly worthy of at any given time. Life is so much more -- if done with love and care, things will always improve, always.
Sending warm hugs today...
Jackie

Jackie, I am so sorry. I know this is very troubling for you. I am sorry Heidi faced such troubles.
Cagney, we seem to have a number of women from the Bloomington area. Rita has completed chemo ahwile ago as this thread has been going for awhile. She will pipe in pretty soon, as will many of the other women facing treatments and enjoying survival.

Cagney, welcome to the Illinois Ladies thread. I am glad to hear that you are doing well. It's a pretty traumatic journey, isn't it?
I was diagnosed in November, 2006 and began my chemo in January 2007. It was at this point that I started this thread. The support group at the cancer center was nearly nonexistent at that time and I just needed "an ear" and a "shoulder to lean on." It's amazing how all these Illinois gals came to the thread........one by one..........and how close we have become over the years.
I did my treatments, both chemo and rads, at the Community Cancer Center and still go back there for my oncology check-ups. My surgeon is in Peoria so I do the mammo and other checks at Susan GB. Komen in Peoria.
We also have a group of bc survivors at all stages (some in treatment, some out, etc.) called the Bosom Buddies that meet once a month for talk and entertainment on the third Thursday evening of the month. We've done dinners, a picnic during one of the warmer months, had our nails done by the beauty school, and toured Broadview Mansion and then ate appetizers and desserts there for our Christmas gathering. This month we are meeting at Famous Dave's. If you're interested in joining us, PM me and I'll give you the details. I'd love to meet you.
Jackie...so sorry to hear about Heidi. It sounds like she had a rough last year. Hugs! It's always so hard to say good-by to those we've loved.
Susan, so glad that you are feeling better. That sounds like it was pretty nasty stuff. Pamper yourself for a few more days! :-)
I also feel sorry for my outdoor feral cat and the roaming black cat who stops by quite often for a meal or two. The black one was sitting on the front porch when I got up this morning. His whiskers were frosted pure white and what a sight that was against his black fur. The truly feral cat. Mz. Sissy, came and ate and then hustled back under the porch to her warm spot. I'm glad there are alot of "softies" like us out there to feed them and be sure they have some water.
WendyTY...hope you're enjoying your vacation and hope it's lots warmer there than it is here!
Ginny...I've been thinking about you and hoping that you're doing well. How's that new laptop doing?
Laura....so it sounds like hubby has a new job? If so, that's wonderful. I hope it's something that he will enjoy. Also glad that Shelby will be able to continue in a school where she will be appreciated and welcome!
Well, I'm off to start a fire in the fireplace and do a load of laundry. I hope everyone enjoys your Sunday.
Rita
Wendy...how I wished you lived closer! I would hire you to help me reorganize this house and finish up cleaning and regrouping my former office headquarters. I get so side-tracked when I start in cleaning that I never get much accomplished. I do have some of those hangers that you were talking about, though, I do like them.
0 -
Jackie - OM...I am so sorry. She was so young!
Cagney - Sorry - I missed your post. I hope all goes well at your next appointment. It's so difficult to not be concerned about bc after treatment has ended.
Rita - I am with you on the ferral issue. It truly is heart-breaking. I have one that I feed. It will only come at night, but the prob is that sometimes - the food freezes and then it can't be eaten. It's a very elusive ferral - so I have no way of knowing when and if it comes by. And sometimes I worry that the raccoons eat the food because I heard terrible fighting one night. It was awful.
----------------------------------
dh DID NOT find a job! lol I posted that I will be sad when he goes back to work...meaning that - IF AND WHEN - he goes back to work I will be sad. I should have been more specific. lol
Off to Costco...going to get a corned beef for dh to make for dinner. I love it...then he'll make corned beef hash with the leftovers for b-fast tomorrow.

Wendy - Yes, South Barrington is just a tad too far for me. Considering that I have a hard time even dragging myself to the park district facility that's about 5 minutes away! Thanks for the offer though. I really need to change my lazy ways. The thing is, once I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is work out! I wish I had that kind of stamina, but I don't. I know it's a self-fulfilling prophecy though.. if I'd just start doing it, it would get easier. I didn't know they were building the bridge (across the Fox River, right?). I've always thought they really needed it, but I don't live in that area. I know it was pretty controversial for those who do.
Jackie- I'm so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. 54 seems so young, but it sounds like she had quite a history of physical ailments.
I'll have to take a new picture of Lily to post later. If I can get all of her and that massive tail in one frame!
Susan - Uck... the stomach flu is just awful. I think it's going around like wildfire too. Glad you're feeling better.
Laura - Yay for Shelby! It sounds like she did really well.
Cagney - Welcome to the forum. You really have gone through an awful lot, but you'll find a lot of support and understanding from the wonderful ladies in this group.
0 -
Laura... Yay, I'm so glad Shelby felt good about her test.
Jackie... I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL. It's never easy to loose someone close to you.
Cagney... I am still what I would consider to this board but can tell you that it is a great place. These women have helped me with tons of questions and concerns.

I have cd's for Mamaq, Rene and Elf but I do not have addresses. Please PM with addresses, ladies, if you would like some music. OMG....I feel normal again...that was a scary thing! My DH is so sweet but knows not a thing on how to take care of sick people. He wants to, but just does all the wrong things. He thought I would feel better if I coated my stomach and so he brought me a huge glass of eggnog. EGGNOG! Oh, I will never look at eggnog again in my life!
0 -
LOL - Okay - just so I have this right...you will never look at eggnog again AND it's possible that you won't be able to look at baby Henry and not think of the flu! OMG....I am LOL! Thanks for the laughs Susan!

HI Girls...just stopping by for a quick hi. I have been sooooooo busy. We had our H1N1 clinic Friday and it went very well. The County nurses were very impressed on how well it was organized. I told them it was the teachers who really prepared the kids for not being scared. So I bought a huge thank you cake for the teachers tomorrow. I know they love to eat.lol Next is the dental clinic...will it ever end...not until June lol
Jackie..my deepest sympathy to you on your loss. hugs to you
Wendy...ok I see that you are waaay to organized..how about doing my house. lol Just put all my xmas stuff away today. The house looks so bare now. Any suggestions...
Laura...good for Shelby that she did so well on her HS test. My niece loves it there. Dh cooks all those yummy dinners..maybe culinary is in the future for him. Food for thought. lol
Rita...hows the weather down by you. I can't wait for spring, warm weather, and that good old sunshine. I think I am really tired of the snow now. We need beach /golf weather lol
Zap...sorry to hear about your dreaded flu and baby Henry. It made me laugh. lol Men really do not now how to take care of sick people. My mil has back surgery the other day and guess who had to be staying at the hospital everyday to take care of her. Me of course. My dh figures I can talk with the doctors and make all the choices for her care. Hope you are feeling better soon. Oh I just love my cd!!!. I play it all the time. thank you
Jo ..hope you are feeling better.
Rene.. how are you doing. I know how hard it is to exercise after getting home from work. But I try to run ..but I tell myself I run at school all day long so does that count. lol
To everyone else I missed I hope you are all doing well..As for me it's jammie and tea time.
I have a busy week at school so I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Stay warm and lets think spring.
Remember to be healthy...be happy and enjoy life.

Morning! Already 14.4 on the deck....sounds so good! LOL
Susan....OK...I admit it. I am laughing! What was DH thinking???? EGGNOG for the stomach flu????? Well I sure know you indeed will never drink that stuff again! And your choice of words was funny too...usually talk about keeping stuff "down", not "in"! That pretty much said it all! Glad you are feeling so much better.
Blackjack....I'm really not all that organized but when I cringed opening up closets it was time to do some tossing. I did well enough that I have filled up the garbage cans and I have lots more bags to go to goodwill. How about some plants to fill up some of the bare spots? Something tropical maybe???? I bought some really nice and healthy plants from Lowe's of all places and put them around. That with my vacay pictures and various Hawaii prints and tropical pillows on the couch (remember...I bought all that Tommy Bahama fabric? I covered one side of the couch pillows...they look very nice!). It may be January outside but it looks quite beachy inside! Just a thought.....when do you leave for LV? Glad yr clinic went so well....and yes, teachers do like to eat!
Laura.....glad Shelby thought the test was so easy! Wonder how we would have done???? I have trouble with some of the questions on "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"! I took calculus in high school and college - hah! I probably couldn't get past the 1st page today! Maybe you could ask Shelby what some of the ?'s were and see how we do! That could be verrrrrry funny!
Elf....you haven't been posting for a while, not on FB either! You OK?
Kater....I was always so leery of EVER considering zometa as you got so sick after the 1st tx so I am glad that you posted that the next few went just fine. Guess you just got sick....but not from the zometa. I have moved from normal to slight osteopenia after almost 2.5yrs on arimidex. I will increase my calcium and will have my D level checked next blood draw. How's your Mom doing BTW?
OK...time to get off my fat lazy butt and shower up. Off to the gym as I have not been there since last Wed. The weather was ridiculous and I can use all my weights and tune in to an exercise program right at home where it is nice and warm. (not that I did of course, but I thought about it LOL). Have a great day!

Good morning gals! Brr....I'm still cold even though we are having a heatwave!!!! LOL Guess I need to start another fire in the fireplace.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. We spent Saturday looking for furniture for our little family nook. It's a fairly small area so we're limited to what we can put in it. The furniture in there now is being to show quite a bit of wear so it's time for a facelift! I wish I was better at visualizing how things will look in that area. We didn't buy anything but at least I've gotten some different options. Next Saturday we'll hit the Peoria area and see what they have to offer. We even thought about going up to Good's in Kewanee Have any of you ever been there? I've heard the selection is tremendous but the pricing is firm and a little more expensive.
Annette.......how are you doing? We haven't heard from you for ages! Drop in and let us know what's going on in your life!
Blackjack....you're on the downhill slide of the school year now, aren't you? Just think! You're really into the swing of it now! It won't be long and you'll have a couple of months off to re-energize!
Well, today's another "stay at home day." I need to get some things accomplished around here because tomorrow and Wednesday are jam-packed with things to do.
Hugs to all of you. Stay warm!
Rita

Here is something to welcome the spring we all wish was here. It is a little way off yet, but maybe this will inspire us anyway:

Good morning everyone -- I'm sure it is going to be a great day. Dh has the shower fixed and the cable company will be out to see just why our t.v./dvr won't play movies. In checking I think the first installer who came out with un-opened boxes for all the needed equipment actually pulled a switch. After he left, I noticed the remote he gave me was dirty -- I definitely don't think ( that one ) came out of any of the un-opened, till in my living room boxes. Anyway -- that problem should be solved as well.
Also ( though probably not today ) I got a new sink for my kitchen. I had the type that is just one big bowl. Dh talked me into this ( against my better judgment ) as it was not porcelain but one of the new light weight type sinks. Of course, it was no time at all till it had stains that would not come out. I looked and looked -- found nothing to suit me and just settled for a stainless steel sink. Little by little we are getting some of the tedious projects done.
I think I am going to adopt Wendy's attitude about exercises -- thinking about it is almost as good as doing it. That would be a great way to get my work done, huh !!!! Just kidding....
Hope you all have a good day. I'll be checking in later.
Hugs, Jackie

Morning -- Dh is having to blow the furnace out again....don't know when it quit working but it was 63 in the house when I got up. The hot coffee sure is great. Furnace man said it could happen again. Got my fingers crossed that this will take care of it.
Otherwise, it will be a great day. I think sunshine is out there so more thawing will go on. By Wednesday with our warmer temps we will have a good start. Strange winter we are having....but last year was as well.
Hope you are all going to have a fantastic day.
Hugs, Jackie

Hey Everyone, Trying to warm up here. It has been cold here. Not as cold as you all but still cold. We have been in the low teens and the 20's for highs. It is supposed to warm up in the next few days. Thursday and Friday will be in the 60's. Yeah..that's what I am talking about.
I have been pretty lazy lately. Just have no energy to do much and lay around in bed most of the day. I hope to feel better later this week or next week. I won't be on chemo(Abraxane) anymore but will still be getting Avistan and Zometa and Falsodex. Those do not cause all the icky side effects as the Abraxane does. Just wish I felt better. I do go out shopping some but that really wears me out for the next several days but I hate sitting around too. I just can't win.
Zap..thanks for the cd. I havn't listened to it yet but the song list looks awesome. Hope you are feeling better. It took me a few minutes to get the whole eggnog thing...duh..
Rita..I am liking my new laptop but don't use it much as I use the big one alot especially when the kids are not home. I will be bringing it to the oncology center when I get my infusions.
WendyTy...congrats on the new job..Hope you like it..
Well..that's about it for now. Everyone take care and keep warm...

Ginny,
So good to hear from you and glad that you'll be finishing up on the Abraxane soon. Maybe then you'll have more energy. In the meantime, stock up on some Debbie Macoumber (did I spell that right????) books and just enjoy some leisure time. How's the library in your town? I always love to go spend a few hours at the library and always bring home a sack of books to read. Instead of lengthy shopping trips, you might want to try a library trip......and it's free!
I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and you need to continue to keep in touch!
Hugs and good vibes across the miles........

Ginny, so good to hear from you. I looked up that chemo you were taking and it sounds like hard stuff. I am crossing them all that it gets better.
Rita, good suggestion on the library. I just read that due to cold and even more so the economy, library visits are at an all time high.
I am all better so working tomorrow and Friday. I like the structure that working even few days povides.
