All right Illinoisians is it raining and thundering and lightening now it's 10:46PM--I'm sure it's calm by Jackie's home but it'a not here. My Katie-Kat is hiding and the dog is pacing. As oon as I see my cat and the dog settles down then I can relax.

Tim I don't know if storms got worse or it's my age but when they come now it's more scary and more brutal to me.

Certainly, in our own little sphere it is not the most active people to whom we owe the most.  Among the common people whom we know, it is not necessarily those who are busiest, not those who, meteor-like, are ever on the rush after some visible charge and work.  It is the lives, like the stars, which simply pour down on us the calm light of their bright and faithful being, up to which we look and out of which we gather the deepest calm and courage. Well, I did receive an update last night and my dear friend has passed.  Cry  I am without words to describe my sadness!  Her inner beauty, kindness and faith will live on forever.  Thank you all, again, for your prayers.

Ok, ok.....have to admit it ----we had intense growling like noises, with lots of thunder and lightning....but as I fell asleep before it started....had no need to stay awake and enjoy it like Dh.  He always makes it sound like he was awake for a long time, but I doubt it.

It is very wet out today with sun showing through the trees.  Still, weather report says that another line of rain squalls will be coming through later in the day.....from Oklahoma area ( not a welcome thing to them I'm very sure ) but we may not deal with it until tonight.......hmmm, most of our storms this year so far have taken place during my sleeping hours.

When it is time to sleep....I usually do just that.  I even had a late cup of coffee last night ( came home late from work as I stopped to visit a friend ) and that didn't have any effect on keeping me up.

The devastation is Oklahoma is horrific.  Beyond my ability to even imagine.  Looking at some of the pictures from the news and it is just like piles of sticks everywhere you look --- home after home is now nothing but a pile of sticks.  Seems like ( global warming ) storms of that nature are getting much worse which is certainly not a great thought at all.  Prayers for Oklahoma and for all the citizens there.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Peace and love,

    Jackie

Well Jackie I'm glad u finally admitted to rain storms u;r way--I said last night on the board u were sleeping, but I'm glad u'r husband can prove it for me. I should be talking to him about u'r wether he sees it like it is.

OOOHHH I was watching TV most of the night about OK and all those poor babies--it's so so so sad. I can't not imagine the nightmare everyone is living thru. This area is so prone for these weather conditions, why do people rebuild and live there over and over again. I'm not saying they are wrong in doing so , it's their home and lives but I can't imagine living in an area that's a tornado alley. I over think things like this and the news, obviously.

C.....I am so sorry to hear this news.  Prayers and love for your friend's family.  I hope they make the transition into her loss without major discomforts and her love and spirit will help them in the days to come.  I hope you can as well find some strength to carry you through.

    Peace and love,

    Jackie

Ugh!  That knocked the wind right out of me.  So sorry.  At times like this I feel as though we are all one.

Life is just too random.  I hope she's in a better place but it's hard to accept the pain that her innocent children must endure.  There are no words...

So sorry C-squared.  When something similar happened to me about 4 years ago (my nephew was killed in an accident) and since I have no children, he was the object of my affection..... I tried to think of him in a place where his soul might be meeting or bonding with someone who has also passed.  Maybe your friend is helping with the young children who have passed in the tragic tornado in Oklahoma and she is comforting them.  Without sounding like a complete whack job, it somehow made me feel a little better as weird as it sounds.  My caring thoughts to you.

peki --- I'm not C-squared, but it does not sound at all weird to me.  I have many ideas, feelings, and convictions that are not quite 'like' anyone else's.

    Love and peace,

    Jackie

Give the best you have received from the past to the best that you may come to know in the future.  Accept life daily not as a cup to be drained but as a chalice to be filled with whatsoever things are honest, pure, lovely, and of good report.
Making a living is best undertaken as a part of the more important business of making a life.  Every now and again take a good look at something not made of hands--a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream.  There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world.

God uses simple things and ordinary moments to reveal himself to us, if only we had the eyes to see and the ears to hear him.  Everything has meaning because everything speaks of God and points toward God.  When we see God everywhere, our faith in him grows deeper.  We can see him in the sunrise and in the sunset, in the rainbow and in the storm clouds, in smiles and in tears, in the humblest wayside flower and in the face of our neighbor.  God is always present, but often we are not aware of him because we are so busy running here and there, so occupied with daily matters, that we have become deaf to his voice calling us, guiding us day by day along the path he has chosen for us. Thank you ALL so much for your kindness, prayers and support.  My friend (DM's) service is tomorrow and while I know she wants it to be a "celebration of her liberation from cancer" I am SO sad that she has left this world and her daughters, her husband, and so many loving friends behind at SUCH a young age (39).

She was such an inspiration to me through such trying times.., I had little to complain about when I listened to her encouragement, her prayers, her belief, and her devotion!  She NEVER complained throughout her 9-year journey!!!  While some may think that she did so "behind closed doors".., I PROMISE you that she did NOT.  She was such a strong believer that she consistently sought the comfort of her Savior and wished  the same for all of us.

Tomorrow will be a very sad day!  The celebration of her life will attempt to bring "closure" but the loss will remain.  Again, I truly appreciate your well-wishes and I am so grateful for this forum to help me through this difficult time.

    Hugs to all!  Embarassed
