Fortuitously, I left from Dallas earlier today and made it into Orlando without a problem.  I hope Leah does as well tomorrow.  I'm camped up in the local Marriott waiting to go and pick Leah up at the airport tomorrow morning.  Marsha.... are you ready??????

*sigh*....my flight was cancelled.  They called just as I was waking up this morning.  I have been rebooked, but will arrive much later this afternoon.

Twink;  I am so happy you have made it safe and sound.  I left a message with Leah letting her know my flight changes.  I didn't get her....so I am hoping she made it out of the ice and snow and is now in warm weather.

All of the flight changes make me nervous.  I think I will carry my little bag on with me.

I am sure we will be catching up with you all here in the next few days!

Melanie, Twilah and Leah, somebody call me!  It is 10:15 am and I have two shows today and then the matinee tomorrow so don't have a lot of time to be on the computer.  If I don't answer leave a message and I'll call you back.  Will have a dinner break between shows, from about 4:30 till 7.

You guys need to be at the theatre by 1:45 for the 2 pm matinee tomorrow.  Can't wait to meet you all!

Good morning, the Florida girls... great pics, thanks!!! The bright colours should lift your spirits, not to mention the "exotic" artwork...Smile

Where is SammieKay-godmother-fairy magic wand when we need it... to transport us all there... just when Denver airport was clear from snow...

Still swamped in a project, but I have to send it back today then I'll look into Skype...

You enjoy, sweet ladies, and take care of yourselves... give hugs for me to Marsha... enjoy the matinée...

Marsha's play was absolutely fabulous! She was the hit of the show! Sassy, sexy, outragous- it is the perfect part for Marsha! She plays Louise, a fan turned friend of Patsy Cline. Funny, funny woman and a perfect foil for the woman who was Patsy Cline.  It was so fun.

I will let Twink post the pics. But it was fabulous!

Today's pics... as you know, we went to see Marsha's performance.  It was wonderful.... words just can't describe how wonderful she was.

Leah and Melanie at the Playhouse.

    Our beautiful Marsha...

The blur on the right is you know who...  Patsy on the left.

And.. finally, the four of us in the playhouse lobby after the performance...

That's it for today.  Wish you were here.

Oh Dear - I'm sitting here crying in my coffee before getting ready to go to my class.   I'm so jealous - I wanna be there too!   It's so wonderful seeing the pixs tho.  I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Been quite some time since I've posted.  I try to check the list every couple days - I have 2 major project deadlines nearing and have little time for anything personal but I do think of you all on a daily basis.   I am so looking forward to 7 days away from this grind and I AM NOT going to check email more than twice a day.

I have been closely reading of all the diagnostic uncertainties with both sisters and dear husbands and I wish you all only the best outcomes.

Leah, Twink and Melanie - enjoy that Florida weather.  The crap doesn't quit here.  Seems every 3 or 4 days, we get dumped on.  Terry and I are only about an hour and a half apart so I can sympathize when I read her weather comments.  It sucks!  Save some of the heat for me next week.

Well, gotta run.  Need to head for the fitness center and hop on the treadmill for a bit - class at 8:30.   Get to go home Thursday evening and get everything ready to go for an early, early Saturday morning departure (after a day's work Friday).

Hugs to all!  Marsha - hope to see you soon.  Keep the pix coming!

Girls, you should see those 3 Feb Chemo Cruisers!!  They are all absolutely beautiful and sooooooooo healthy looking!!!  Leah is exactly like her pictures with the biggest, cutest grin you ever saw on anyone!  Twink looks like somebody that EVERYBODY wants to party with and Melanie is just flat out classy looking!  We had a quick visit right before my show and again afterwards, I am definately looking forward to spending more time with them this week.  I'm meeting them tomorrow (Tuesday) at Disney, Melanie has a surprise lined up for us, we are staying one night at the Boardwalk at Disney then going back to the beach house.  I guess Melanie was the first to show her new "girls" hahaha.

This time last year we were all feeling the first affects of chemo and starting to lose our hair.  I still remember, with a laugh, Leah leading the pack and describing in detail what we should all expect.  Now a year later, meeting up with "sisters" who have become immediate friends.  I so wish you could all be here.  We will be thinking of you all!  Much love all around............. Marsha

Wow ... these pictures are amazing! It seems that Melanie is winning the hairgrowing contest, though we haven't see our beautiful Marsha our of her costume and wig!

Terry and Phyl -- Can we do a PA-area get-together? Karen is in Md ... not too far away. Maybe wait till spring (see next paragraph) ...

Phyl and Terry -- Beeing quite a bit closer to the city, we don't get the weather nearly as bad as you two! School was canceled on Friday, but I think that they were just worried about the potential for freezing rain, which never happened. So instead, we got a nice coating of about 3 inches of snow, which has already started to melt in most places! And the weather was delightful for my ds's seventh birthday party on Sunday. 20 7 year old boys and no meltdowns!

Regardless, I wish I was in Florida with the others ... I'm going to have to get Skype set up tomrrow.

I had my biopsy this morning and I'm a bit woosy from the ativan I took for = now what the's appropriate word for anxiety about biopsies and needels -- biopsy-xiety? biopsyphobia? Anyways, I should have results by tomorrow afternoon. (Yes, Twilah, I'll phone you.)

I had a good conversation with the radiaologist about the pros and cons of MRIs for follow-up. She thinks that they are good at staging during initial diagnosis. But, she think that in most cases when using MRIs for follow-up, you can have too many false positives which mean a biopsy which drives everyone crazy. She thinks that most women would do better a mammo once a year and good CBEs quarterly.

There are exceptions, and she did conceded that I was one ... dense breasts, with poor surgical margin due to proximity near chest wall and presence of LCIS in other breast. If the biopsy results are clean, she agrees that I should have an bilat MRI once a year staggered with a bilat digital Mammo once a year. So, I'd get a bilat MRI in six months and a digital mammo in a year.

OK, I've got some mind-dumbing work at work to do on a numbed mind!

    Hugs to all,

    Hillary

We had a wonderful chat with Catherine.  What fun!  It's so nice to be able to put a face to the name and words we've been enjoying this last year.

We spent the evening in a Southern Cooking Class.  I have come to realize that I don't like grits.  I think we consumed fat grams for this year and the subsequent five...but it was great!

    Pics to come...

Wow, what beautiful survivors!!!  You all look fabulous.  I am so sorry I couldn't make it.  Hopefully there will be another get together and maybe closer to Texas.

We went sailing this weekend.  Sunday was great sailing, but Monday not so much.  We had 30mph winds.  Mike was exhausted by the time we got the boat out of the water and lowered the mast and prepared to trailer it back home.

I have to work tomorrow, so better get to bed.

Hugs and love to all.  I will write more tomorrow.  Sammie Kay

Hello the Florida Girls... were you in the dark at Disney... Hope you are all sound and safe and that you'll have a beautiful day at the beach tomorrow with Marsha...

Leah, thank you for "motivating" me about the Skype thing:  I talked to my dad yesterday and my sister this morning (both in France)... great fun with the webcam...  In fact, this may be our new format pretty soon for the FCC... contact groups and video conferences to check on one another...

Have all a great evening... keep warm (for those in the icy cold... it's fine here, I even biked 12 miles this afternoon, after my chemobrain session -- 2 hours of tests, fun, too... My DH was in the next room and told me he was really impressed by my memory skills -- verbal and numbers... nice to know...)

    Till soon,

Catherine (not working... sigh of delight)

    Evening all!

Checking in for my nightly picture fix. I wasnt sure if you all were effected by the power outage. I bet it didnt put a damper on your fun, and may even have given a new story to tell. :)

Catherine, you may be on to something!

Have a great nite all. Talk to you soon!

We...ahem... were unable to post pics last night.  I'll let the pics speak for themselves.  We had a blast!

On our way to dinner, it rained and Leah had some difficulty with the poncho.  We didn't help her immediately.

    Our personal fireworks show...

    Lounging on board the yacht.

The last pic of the evening.  All others have been destroyed to protect the innocent.

OMG Melanie out did herself!  She had an absolute wonderful day planned for us in Orlando!  We stayed over night at the Boardwalk Resort Villas ( a huge 3 bedroom/3 bath condo).     First we went to MGM and had lunch at this cute little 50's style diner.  Then rode the Aerosmith roller coaster (yes even Leah LOL) and the Tower of Terror.  For dinner we went to Epcot to the French section (in honor of Catherine) and ate at the French Bistro (Twilah had to tell them how to make an expresso martini, 3 martini's later we left there and Melanie had a yacht rented for just the four of us (plus the captain)!!  Wine and desserts (chocolate dipped strawberries, yummy).   He took us on the Disney lake and stopped for the fireworks show.  Unbelievable view and what a show that was from the water!  Two bottles of wine later we went to Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar.  Twilah is such a bad influence, ordering us a tequila shot.

We are back now at the beach house.  Sooooo beautiful.  Leah is cooking dinner tonight.  She brought her Italian cookbook so I know it's gonna be good.

Wish you could all be here with us.  Catherine, I hate that I missed the "visit" with you.  The gals said you are adorable!  Carynn, are you gonna get yourself hooked up and talk to us in person???  Talk to you all soon.  Love from all of us.......... Marsha

Wow wish I had known sooner that you gals were going to be at Disney this week - I would have tried to pay you all a visit.

The photos are great, but could someone tell me who is who?

Glad you are all having such a wonderful time.
