I guess I should be looking into getting a webcam and Skype!
Had gallbladder us today. The scan was done by an actual doctor and she kept scanning and scanning and I kept thinking uh oh, something is wrong cuz she is not scanning the gallbladder area.
Turns out the gallbladder is okay, no evidence of stones, but she saw a cyst on my kidney. I had already know that was there from ct scans, I was afraid she was seeing something else. So I guess all is well here.
I am so jealous...it is cold and snowing and blowing here in Central PA. Ugh!

Yay Carynn! It's so nice to meet you finally. This has been a fantastic week... Leah, Melanie, Marsha ... then Catherine and now Carynn.
I'm posting today's pics... my apologies for the lack of excitement but we needed a day of rest after all the excitement yesterday.
We left Disney before noon and headed to the Outlet stores for a little retail therapy. I promised I wouldn't buy any shoes but... ack... I think I have a problem. We lounged around the beach house waiting for the snow to start falling (it's unseasonably cold today/night). While Leah cooked a marvelous pasta dinner we chatted a little with Catherine on Skype. The meal was delicious despite Leah's protestations to the contrary. We capped the evening off chatting with Carynn, followed by a Group Hot Flash. I don't think it was Carynn's fault.

Catherine messaged me today about not posting recently and all I can say is - looks like I am missing all the fun! These are terrific pictures and it is obvious you guys are having the most marvelous fun!!! My favorite photos are of Leah and the poncho, the roller coaster ride and the one of you guys on the private yacht on the bed!!
No wonder you needed to rest the next day!!! LOL But you all look amazing and beautiful and CRAZY. I am so jealous, and I am missing you by just a month as I will be in Orlando the first week of April. Marsha, will your play still be running then? I would love to come see you!! Where is the playhouse? Even if it's not, I want to come meet you.
Just got back from 10 days in New York and my nipple reconstruction - anxious to see how it all looks when the steri strips come off in a couple of weeks. All I can see thru them right now is the purple marking pen from surgery. Looks like a nipple with a black eye.
Melanie - did your nipples shrink? I still had one "original" and the new one is definitely larger, but I have heard women say they shrink to about half the size? Is that about right? And how did your areole turn out?
Other than that I have been going nuts with work now that people know I am "back." And my old manager quit, so from September until the first of January I was really scrambling trying to do two jobs and find someone new. I got REALLY lucky and was able to get the PERFECT person, someone I worked with for 15 years at the previous company, so now I am in seventh heaven. We are working at getting several new programs started, but hopefully by the end of May we will be on auto pilot.
Plus I have to admit I did sneak those two cruises in between the beginning of November and the middle of January so I have been playing just as hard as I worked. As Twink says, why limit happy to an hour?!!!
Is everyone feeling better? Looks like we are all getting our hair back - yeah!! I can't believe I did it, but I actually had about an inch and a half cut off of mine trying to get rid of some of the super curly chemo hair. The hair that is left is still wavy, but at least I can straighten it with a flat iron finally. How nice to be able to worry about the mundande stuff like hair again!!
Keep posting more pictures - they are marvelous!!! And if anyone feels like heading out to Vegas - your private tour guide is waiting!

Hello Ladies!
Twink, Leah, Marsha; Just wanted to let you know that I made it home without a glitch this time....whew. I did have disappointing news when I called the onc this afternoon. I have to go in next week for a needle biopsy of a node on the left side. The head radiologist says we must check it. This is the swelling that showed up on the scans that were done right before the FL trip. The swelling that the onc said there was absolutely nothing to worry about.
That said...it was such a pleasure to get to know each of you. I am so happy that we did this! I think I showed even the "anti-disney" Miss Marsha a different side of the "Mouse House". And I am still wondering how "Tequila Twink" got me to do 2 shots. Have a dirty martini for me tonight dear. What a pleasure it was to have Leah to prepare such a nice meal. Truly enjoyable.
I am a bit tired right now, so I will post more later...

Wow -- you four look like you've been having an amazing time!!
I've had a weird week, both very good and very anxious. The good part -- my ds had a wonderful birthday party on Sunday with 19 of his closest friends - LOL! And, he had a great real birthday, too, this week.
The anxious part -- the pathology still is not back from my Monday 7:30 am biopsy. The resident I spoke to this afternoon was very nice -- she said not to read anything into the delay, as she's seen it go both ways.
Mel -- Good luck on your biopsy next week ... I hope that your pathology department is faster than mine!
Twilah -- I've broken down on the low-fat diet thing this week ... somehow when I'm stressed I crave fatty foods. And chocolate!!
I might try to phone the three of you left in Floriday tonight ...

Just dropping in whilst at school something I shouldn't be doing. Your trip sounds wonderful girls, wish I could have been there two.
We are looking at getting skype as DD2 is now back in Scotland and DS is busy applying for jobs in the UK so it would be handy.

It was so nice sitting listening to that great music
and talking last night. I haven't talked that much with anybody about the experiences of this last year. It's a good feeling to spend time with other women who (as Leah says) get it. I'm sorry this week is almost over. I expect Leah and I will lounge on the beach a little today even though it's still chilly. I hope to hear good news from Hillary today.

ughhhh....I finally got the reports from the radiologist on my scans.
2 prominent nodal appearing masses have developed superior and medial to the left breast measuring 2.5 x 1.5 cm and directly anterior to the left breast implant measuring 1.5 x 0.5 cm.
IMPRESSION: Interval bilateral breast reconstruction with development of two nodular densities admacent to the left breast impant and along the left chest wall. This would be amenable to percutaneous biopsy. This node may actually be palpable.
It said the 2.4 x 1.8 cm hemangioma within the right lobe of the liver is relatively stable .
Everything else is clear....except for those mildly degenerative knees...lol. I will still keep on dancing!
I have a needle biop now scheduled for next Friday as I have plans to be out of state until at least Wed. I emailed the PS with the info and then I called my BS. Well....they don't want the radiologist doing the biopsy. She said the BS would want to do an incisional. WHAT? I am not sure now what I will do. I have left a message for the BS to call me personally. I want to hear his reasons.
I suspect Twink and Leah are spending a quiet last evening. Twink is probably trying to find a place to pack all those SHOES !!!
