I am just curious on how many members have mets? And to what location on the body? Thanks in advance for participating. Rebecca
my met is in my lung
bone, malignant pleural effusion to lung/heart
yep,,lung was left out..that's me..sherry
I thought the lungs were also an area where breast cancer spread??
Bones, lungs, sternum lymphs. With the oopherectomy and the femara the bone mets are stable and the lung ones have reduced to almost nothing. There has been no spreading to any new organs since diagnosis of mets a year ago. I'm confident that it shall continue like this for a few years at least.
I have met to lung, bone, and liver.
lung mets only
Question, How are bone mets treated?
Parrothead..have you seen Jimmy Buffet this year when he toured? It was a pretty good show but not as good as years past!
Pharmmom - I have multiple mets, so I am not 100% on all treatments for just bone, but, my best answer is - it depends. If your bone cancer is hormone receptive it can be treated with hormone supressents and a bone strengthening drug. If not, then chemo is used. Hopefully someone else 'in the know' will respond. lungs, mediastinel nodes
