OK...I was traveling yesterday and didn't see the show.  Who got booted off??  I saw Monday night but not Tuesday.  I guess I can google it and find out.

TheDivineMrsM - "Cabaret" is the first thing I thought of when I saw Gilles and Peta's costumes!

I am REALLY tired of Kelly's pouty, pissed-off, mopey face.

DANG - I wonder how Shawn will do without Derek's choreography next week? Or will he still create the choreography while she dances with Mark? Hope Derek recovers soon!

BOOOOOO about Sabrina being voted off! Yell That just sucks. She was one of my top favorites.

So let me see if I've got this straight...next week, there will be a show on Monday, but not on Tuesday? (Election Day)? Or will there be a Tuesday show but no eliminations?

I think there's a double elimination the following week.

I bet Mark asked his good friend Derek to fake it so he could get the chance to dance with Shawn just to piss Bristol off!  lol  Shawn won the mirror ball trophy in 2009 with Mark as her partner, so I don't know that they need Derek's choreography, altho he may still develop the dance.

Ok I must of missed it - why is Derek not dancing next week?

OH NO!  I can't believe Sabrina got eliminated:(  I'm glad I didn't see it.  I guess she just doesn't have the fan base because she got eliminated early the other time.  It certainly isn't her dancing which is top notch!

Apparently, during Shawn and Derek's country dance, he re-injured some of the vertebrae in his neck. (Has done it before...will take next week off to recuperate...)

I too was shocked and dismayed at Sabrina & Louis being eliminated.

To go from three 10's, a perfect score from the judges on Mon to gone on Tues - crazy!

    And another thing....Yell

In all the seasons we've been watching, I've never been very fond of Louis. I thought he was arrogant and full of himself.

But in the past two seasons, my opinion of him has really changed. It stopped being all about "Louis" and instead showed him really connecting with his partner, doing whatever it took to make sure she got what she needed to be successful.

Now, dang it, he's outta there! Boo! At least he left while he was at the top of the leader board. Undecided

Yeah, one of my favorite parts of Monday's competition was when they showed Louie teaching Sabrina about her dance and he was explaining there was beauty in the imperfections, ect. Sadly, I don't think Louie has the fan base that Max or Derek has, which doesn't help his partner as much with viewer votes.  Lots of people like that male chemistry some professionals bring to the mix, and with Louie being gay, he's just not going to have that particular connection. Possibly if Sabrina had been with Mark she might still be in the mix.  But then, we'll never know.

My faves this week were Shawn & Mark, what a nice duo they made, tango/paso.

Derek found himself a piece of limelight, though, and says he'll be back next week.

Also liked Emmitt & Cheryl's rumba/samba, their dances were interwoven - hard!

Got a chuckle out of the fake commercials sponsored by the faux interest groups.

Actors not Athletes (anti-Olympic athletes Shawn & Apolo)

    Women of DWTS (anti-Kirstie)

Stars with More Than 5% Body Fat (don't let near-nudity influence your vote)

Didn't catch the last one but thanks DWTS from a swing state deluged by ads.

    Loved those faux commercials, too!

Ha, ha, Mark & Shawn--take *THAT* Bristol Palin. I did like their routine.

For me, tho, it was Melissa & Tony's night.  They have built on the magic that they developed when she was on the show previously.  I don't think Emmit and Cheryl are as impressive this season as when they won before.  And Apollo and Karina just don't go as well together as he did with Julianne Hough.

In the 'eh' category, Giles/Peta and Kelly/Val.  It was the judges own fault they had to watch Kirstie this week, after scoring her so high last week.  Now they're back to reality.

Brooke Burke must have a different stylist these days because once again, her hair and dress looked lovely.

My favorites this week were Apolo (who has never been on top of my list before), Melissa, and Shawn.

I had to turn off the music during the group dance with the "troupe"....didn't enjoy that much at all.

LOVED Apolo's number and thought he got robbed during the scoring, since the judges gave him such glowing comments. But looking back, maybe it was Karina's choreography that sucked. Maybe they didn't "fuse" their two styles as seamlessly like the rest did.

Shawn and Mark were AWESOME! But yeah, Derek had to worm his way into the limelight like the spoiled kid he was for so many seasons. He's a terrific choreographer, but sheesh!!!

Kelly and Val also did a nice job, and I thought I even saw her smile once. Woot! The rest of the time, though, ick. Yell She always looks like she's waiting for a root canal.

Good for Kirstie for actually organizing the truck and collecting supplies for the storm survivors, when everyone else was just paying lip service. Unfortunately, it seems like she's wearing herself out on the dance floor, and some of her moves are just painful to watch.

Melissa and Tony - great job in both dances. She sure has energy to spare!!!!

Cheryl and Emmet, well, sorry....they just seemed boring tonight. Blah.

Gilles and Peta kind of blow hot and cold. Sure, he looks good out there on the dance floor, but sometimes sexy just ain't enough, and the moves look sloppy. But he is nice to watch!

Thought the fake negative campaign ads were hysterical!!!

blessing - You said it very well.

I think every week I like Gilles a little less.  Too me he comes accross as being a me, me, me type, rather self centered and self important.

I was on vacation last week (Pigeon Forge) and missed the show (we were watching live shows on Monday and Tuesday) and the internet at the hotel was horrid so I couldn't watch online. Had to wait until Wed morning on GMA to see who was voted off. Last night I was so tired from the vacation, I fell asleep about 9:15 and didn't wake up for an hour and missed the several of the individual dances as well as the group dance.

How was your weather in Pigeon Forge?  I've never been, but would like to visit the area one of these days.  It was a good show last night, but not spectacular.  I think the coming weeks will really be good.

And no one will be voted off this week, there will be a double elimination next week.  I predict Kirstie and Apollo.

I loved Tony and Melissa this week and Apollo and Karina and of course Shawn and Mark were amazing.  I liked the kids dancing I thought they were terrific who knew Utah was the hot bed of dancing.

Ms M, the weather was cold and rainy the first part of the week because of Sandy, then it was just cold. We could see snow on the top of the mountains around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. All of the photos we had taken at the shows/museums I was wearing the same fleece jacket. We went through the Titanic Museum, and several other museum attractions, the Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg, saw the Dixie Stampede dinner show on Nov 1 (their first Christmas show) and a couple of other shows. I had to come home to rest up after the vacation.

I hope that Kirstie is one that will be voted off next week. I appreciate her spunk but her dancing to me is not up to the others.

Oh, I am shocked and saddened to read this news today:

'Dancing' co-host Brooke Burke has thyroid cancer

NEW YORK (AP) — "Dancing with the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke says she has thyroid cancer.

Burke posted a video message Thursday on YouTube disclosing her condition and her plans forsurgery to remove her thyroid.

The 41-year-old mother of four says a lump on her thyroid was found during a routine biopsy.

She says in the video that the surgery has been scheduled, but she doesn't specify when. She says it will leave "a nice big scar right here," tracing a line across her throat.

Although initially shocked by the diagnosis, Burke says she now feels strong and confident and her doctors are optimistic. She vows to make "a positive out of this negative thing."

Found in the front of the neck, the thyroid secretes several hormones that influence metabolism, growth and development.

    ****************************************************************

I do want to add that I work with two women who've had thyroid cancer, surgery and radiation, both of them had it a number of years ago and both are doing just fine.

I worked with a woman who had thyroid cancer and it is one of the most treatable and curable cancers. Let's hope Brooke also makes a complete recovery.

What in the world is going on with so many cases of thyroid cancer? Three women in my church were all diagnosed the same year. They have all recovered beautifully with no complications, but I don't ever remember hearing about so many cases in the past.

Stupid friggin' cancer - the Equal Opportunity Disease!

    Wishing Brooke the best.....

So sorry to hear about the thyroid cancer...it is completely curable if caught early and hopefully her's was.  My friend had it about 10 years ago and she is fine.

Yes,and she talks about the scar, but the doctors do a great job concealing it in the fold of the neck...plus she has access to great plastic surgeons and make up artists, so that's eventually not going to be an issue for her.

    Loved tonight's show.

Len's '7' for Shawn's trio dance......crazy!  I loved that dance. Derek's right, as a viewer it's great to see something new like that.

Loved Melissa & Tony's Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy dance.

Wasn't feelin' it for Giles or Emmett's trio dances.  Tho I did like Giles & Peta's first dance. Kelly's trio dance wasn't bad. Kirstie looked like a housewife in a bathrobe in her trio dance, bare feet and all, and that was a turn-off for me.

Apollo...I think he needs a new hairstyle.  I was very impressed, tho, with his trio dance; there were times when I couldn't tell him from the professional.  His first dance was pretty good, too.

Agree with you, Divine. I also loved Melissa & Tony's Boogie and was impressed with Giles & Peta in the first round. Kelly looked better than she has looked in the past. I did like Apollo in the trio. Kirstie seriously needs to go at this point, not sure who I'd pick for the other one out though.

Call me cynical, but I suspect Kristie's Sandy Relief effort may have bought her another week.
