I've got "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh hopes, hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh hopes.... high apple pie, in the sky hopes."
Whew, Jaz as always ya pegged me square on the bull's eye. Seriously.
I was just comin' home from church and realized what's on my 'to do' list and started shaking my head with consternation.......
but I'll pretend to be an ant and I'll let ya know about the rubber tree plant! Thanks
Spar, my youngest arrived here safely last night. Haven't spent much more than a couple hours with her since Christmas time...... I too will be m.i.a. for a bit.
Lisa thanks for the wine.
Margs, just always happy to see that hugging pic of yours.
Sahalie, know you've got lots going on too. ENJOY!
Winger, thanks for lighting the path.
Footie, lemonade sweetie, lemonade. I'm gonna attempt to find a post that you'd written about family/friends. I think it may have been over at Norm's..... with your permission, if I find it, I may need to use it to write the remaining song for my collection. It really touched me at the time.
Shrink, we don't expect to hear from you for ages -- but wanted you to know i'm thinking of ya!

I just have to post this picture. We were in Nevada and my daughter is in Okla at the time. I guess it is a double exposure but it is beautiful.
This is a picture of a pyrimid and my daughters face appeared in the picture. It was truly shocking and amazing when I looked through the pictures and saw this.

I can't seem to get the photo bigger but we took it in Nevada, a pyrimid. My daughter was in Okla, I guess it was a double exposure but she appeared perfectly inside the pyrimid and It is so surreal.0

I did it.

Hi Spar, I wrote a HUGE post about an hour ago and just when I hit submit, my internet provider went poof. Then it was time for Big Brother. I will try to work on recreating my earlier post but I can't make any promises with the way my internet service is going. I can't really complain because this provider has been wonderful and hardly ever has problems. Our storms can quite challenging though. I should practice what I preach and use notepad like I advise others.

Well, I really hate this but the tornado sirens just went off again so it looks like this is why my internet has been unpredictable. I'm going to unplug and hopefully be back in a few hours.

good morning beachies..... one and all.............

Spar, did you make that stained glass? It's beautiful. Cool pic with your daughter.
Jaz, don't think I could handle the tornadoes.
Faith, sounds like the pre-big-bd party was fun.

Good morning beach friends!
The start of a new week. Its hard to believe that we are in August already. The time is moving fast. Has anyone looked back to see how they have done on any New Year's resolutions?
Sahalie -- I will try to find us a 'beachmobile.' I'm sure they have one somewhere. Or maybe a dune buggy will do. Have you been out testing that new power mower yet? I used to do my own lawn work until I was diagnosed. I found someone to hire to do the work while I was in chemo and never stopped using them. I just decided that I was too old to be out mowing this huge yard in the middle of July/August in 100 degree temps so I've rearranged my budget and put it as a necessity. I have the lawn guys mow, trim and weedeat my yard every two weeks and its so nice not to have to get out and do all that in this intense heat. The lawn guy was here yesterday while we are under a heat advisory. I kept an eye on him in case he passed out with a heat stroke. The guy came at 2 pm and that just about the hottest part of the day. I told him he could do it later if he wanted since it was so hot but these young kids are invincible. Sorry for the sour tummy. Did the new baby arrive yet?
Spar -- well I've finally gotten a chance to read back and see what all I missed. Spar, that must have been quite scary to hit a deer that totaled a car. We have a large deer population here but thank goodness they aren't in the metro area where I am. Our biggest road concern is hitting an orange barrel from the never ending construction work. You know we can send people into space but it takes 10 years to repave a one mile stretch of freeway. Are you still in heaven getting to spend time with your son this weekend? Love the new stain glass of the Iris but I don't see anyplace that looks messed up. It's beautiful. I love the pyramid picture. You should enter that in a photo contest somewhere!
Faith -- I am so very sorry to read about your sister's BIL. I love the babeez pictures. They really are growing and changing so much. How have they adapted to Dad being home? How is the songwriting coming? I love Lisa's grandson's lion picture too. I'm glad you liked the ballerinas and the bunny hop. They were so cute, weren't they? Those drift wood sculptures are amazing!!! Congratulations on your one year anniversary. I know you will have many many more. Those appointments can make for some anxious times though. Glad you had such good results. I get blood work every time as well. Thank goodness they can still use my port but I will be getting it out at the end of this year so I don't look forward to them trying to find a vein in the future. Enjoy the time with your daughter.
Julz -- welcome to the Beach. You are so right about our Spar. She is an amazing lady with a kind heart and soul. Please stick around.
Wings -- missing your sweet presence on the beach. I'm praying for our sweet lighthouse keeper that God will bring healing to you and yours.
FPAngel -- I missed your post before you deleted it. I hope things are okay with you sweet sister. Lots of lemonade is waiting here for you. I'm so sorry to hear about your insurance issues and the trouble with your neighbors. It doesn't make sense to me either but it sounds like they want you to 'spend down' to meet the income limit requirement. My uncle has to do this as well.
Margo -- its nice to see you popping in. I think when my current contract is up that I would like to try an iphone or blackberry. Maybe when my house internet goes down, then I will still be able to get online and check in. Sorry you are having trouble with your laptop. I guess I just figured if my laptop battery goes bad, I can just run up to someplace like Best Buy to get a new one but apparently that isn't the case?
Lisa -- thank you so much for all the lovely pictures you bring to the Beach. Such a pleasure to see the flowers, ducks, boats. The area you live in is very beautiful.
Jan -- hi there, hope you have a good start to your week.
Deborye -- photobucket is the only way I know to post pics at BCO. The picture has to be accessible from the internet. The only other alternative is if your provider provides storage space for you to upload pictures and then you can use the link to your personal online storage. Photobucket just seems eaiser to me. Lake Winnepesauki reminds me of that movie What About Bob. Have a wonderful time there and I can't wait to see pictures of the treasures you find there.
Celia -- wishing you blessings and a great week.
Shrink -- How are things going for you? I know you must be staying busy and also enjoying your peace and serenity. It sounds like you are a very creative and artistic person like Spar, Faith and Sahalie. How are the party plans coming along? Do you need a DJ to play some great music? Are the grandkids there yet? I know you will have a wonderful visit with them.0 -
For all those going through hard times right now, all our love and prayers go with you. May God give you peace and direction.

Faith, me too, that video made me cry too. I loved it. Now, where are you going on Thursday? I can't keep up with you.
Margaret, yep, the stained plexiglass is my new hobby. Love doing it and they are so pretty with the sun shining through them.
Shrink, have a wonder visit, nothing like grandkids to make you feel younger
Deb, I tried using webshots yesterday but it was too complicated so I went back to photobucket since it is so simple.
Always, so glad you are back up and running have missed your post
Jaz, are you still sleeping under a coconut tree or looking for sea shells
Sahalie, did you get a riding mower or push mower. Missing you. Watch out for the heat.
foots, post when you can and let us know how you are doing with ramp, fence, and insurance. So sorry about all of that.
Hug to everyone and hope you all have a beachy day.

Good morning everyone & thanks for the wonderful welcome. Spar invited me here, she said it was a great place to be. I whole heartily agree. Coming here feels like you all are a bunch of warm sunshine wrapping your golden rays around each other. To encourage, support, shelter & let fly when the need arises. Although it accures to me that it will take 6 months to figure out Who? What? When? & Where? LOL! I will try to hop along with the rest of you here. Beware I might be like 'Vinni' in welcome back carter A.K.A. 'John Travolta', "I'm SO confussed"! LOL!
Oh BTW my DH is a DJ, has been for 30 years or so. What music do you like for your parties? He has just about anything you can imagine. He still has the old 45's in the garage! I read this & have to laugh he was 15 - 16 when he started playing & I was 7 - 8.!
I have 3 more night's/days left of my vacation. Staying home this year as I have no money to go anywhere. Anyway this is the Dream Beach, what are we gonna get into today?

I'm so glad everyone enjoyed the song/video. Spar, no coconut trees for me today, its back to work Monday. I would love to be on a real beach looking for seashells though. Yay! Julz is back. 'To encourage, support, shelter, and left fly' describes our beach perfectly. We love to have fun and enjoy each others company but we are also there to give hugs and prayers and provide a shoulder when someone needs one.
Faith -- glad you enjoyed the post. Its only like the 100th time I've tried to post it. So far the weather is clear today and the internet seems to have stablilized.
I haven't started with the watercolor yet. I have so many UFO's (UnFinished Objects) that I decided I need to finish at least a couple of them before I started something new. So, I worked through the storms and finally got one project I've been working on for the last 6 months finished. Its amazing how good it feels to finish a project and know it is completely done.
Well, I'm off to get the workday started. I will hop back in a few hours for some fun at our beautiful beach.

Julee..... so glad to see you back!! You're right about needing some 'catch up' time to sort out the who's whos. It took me several months to have our 'regulars' in my brain, a bit. Ask questions and we'll help as much as we can to get you acclimated.
I have an idea for lunch today. How about Aruba? (We really did get to spend a week there earlier this summer -- no kidding, second honeymoon: awwwwwww.)
Here's the place I've got picked out. Get your passport and let's meet later today:

P.S. spar: we're leaving for an entire month to go to northern Wisconsin -- where we have a teeny, tiny 'get-a-way' place, a block from the marina in a quaint little village called "Sister Bay."
We will have internet, as we both actually 'work' from there..... just a different, humidity-free location, where we ride bikes and eat healthy and do lots of cultural fun to rejuvinate our batteries.
I go gallery hopping and visit lots of artist's studios -- as many as I can!
P.S.S. Jules: Jasmine = Jaz, our resident D.J. who's avatar/pic is also: ALWAYS Hope.
Edited to add that absolutely EVERY type of music is welcome on this beach.

Again, the music and video were very touching, Jaz.
As far as the honeymoon, we're going on a cruise to Burmuda next month. We do come up for air occasionally. After all we're both in our 60's (DH is 4 years younger), have been a couple for 7 years and lived together for a year and a half. I do check in every day to see what and how everyone's doing.
The grandkids will be here in about 4 hours. Better get that lasagna started.
Wishing calm waters and sunshine to everyone this and every week.

Jaz ~ I loved the video too. It kind of reminds me of the new song by Trace Adkins **Your Gonna Miss This**! I have 4 sons & my Oldest made me a Grandma Last month! I'm a Grandma at 41! Oh if we could turn back the clock sometimes.....But I wouldn't trade my Grandson for anything! Missing him! My Son, DIL & GS live over 4 hours from me!
Faith ~ Thanks for the help! I think I'm gonna need it! LOL!
Spar ~ I can't find that photo yet, but I'll keep searching or find something that will replace it!
Now I need to get back to the mundane daily house chores......
If only I had one of those Cabana Boys I read about on the first few pages to help get the wash done! I'll just keep dreaming of this Bikini (that I can't fit in, LOL), and take myself for a swim in that nice blue water! While I wait for my other clothes to dry!
