This is my poor ducky but here are a couple of happier pictures.  Emily into her "art" and swinging high on her old fashioned rope swing

faith, so happy to hear that you and saint and respective hubbies had a great time!!  You have been very good with your plan of not coming on the computer till noon.....give yourself a big treat!!!

spar, omg that poor duckie!!! well, it IS an instinct for the dog to hunt and when you are not at home, the dog thinks he is the alpha dog instead of you, and he acts on his instincts.  I agree with you to not trust the dog with the duck alone again.  Glad the duckie is ok.

i forgot to mention shrink earlier.   i hope shrink is having a great day with new hubby and grandkids!

julz, i am not sure what that sculpture is made of but i would guess it was wood or metal.

those baby pictures are so cute, they are adorable

Sahalie, those fish soaps would be such cool stocking stuffers for the kids at Chrismas

Shrink,  this is hoping for you to have a wonderful day with grandkids and of course hubby

Foots still hoping for the best for you.

The Oklahoma weather today was actually kind of cool, high 70's or low 80's still too hot for me though.

Faith, always stick you camera in your purse or tote bag, it gets to be second nature

Lisa, where are are pictures today

Got to go we are fixing to watch Nim's Island in a few minutes will try to get back on later. Happy evening to all!

Celia, thank you for the compliment about emily being cute.  I think she is adorable but you know how nana's are.

My DH was pitching out left over chicken to the dog and cat and I told him just give it to the cat, the dog already had duck for lunch.  We just watched Nim Island and I enjoyed it .

socal lisa, thanks for the ice cream cone....i am glad it disappears quicker than i can eat it!!!  That Mission Inn is quite charming!!  i am trying to figure out what the cylindrical projection is that is in the left top picture.  it looks like a small clock tower with little animals in the carved out part.  do you know what it is?  is it a nativity scene?  Thanks so much for posting your pics....so enjoyable!

spar, you have such a funny sense of humor!!!!!!

    night all!!

Happy, happy MORNING!! Beachie Bunnies, shining brightly in the sun.

It's the weekend and I think my resolution only applies to the week days. LOL.

What a joy to greet you in the morning!!!!

Everyone have a glorious day. Full of things that bring lightness into your heart and a bounce to your step.

I have a new challenge for us here. Nothing as encompassing as our extremely wonderful scavenger hunts...... but I got to thinking about Sige's posted gorgously young women-in-yoga meditation. She's just so young.

Who can find pictures of women of stature (age at least 45 or so) who are fit and trim and inspirational in their care of their body? I think it would be great to have some images of gals who are closer to "our" age -- who are making wise choices in diet and exercise.

That's my request for the coming week. Thanks in advance.

Edited to add one of my morning's in Aruba. Even w/rock formations at the beach, the water's calm:

A beautiful day for the beach, ladies.  My grandchildren have returned to Buffalo and I miss them.

I've been watching the Olympics and am inspired to try a lap in the pool today.  Maybe I can build up to two.  Wish I had one of those suits.  It's encouraging to see people over 35 still runinng long distances and swimming world record races.

Spoke to my granddaughter on the phone and she wanted to know why I gave her a short fork when she was here.  I have 2 sizes of forks and just set the table randomly.  She said, "I.m not widdle any more you know."

Off to the gym, then the beach, then the pool.  See you all there.

This is a gorgous day, a little humid here but all in all not too bad.  We will be leaving in a bit to go to church and then to take the granddaughter home and visit a while.  Shrink glad you enjoyed your time with your grandkids, do you see them often?  They do say the cutest things,  yesterday, emily and I walked down to the pond and she asked if she threw a stick in the water if it would go to heaven.  Where do they come up with these things?

Is the mission inn an actual hotel where people stay?  The beach with the rock formation is gorgous.  Love to all will be at the beach later.

I see my children and grandchildren about 4-5 times/year.  Not hardly enough.  Kids do come up with the most wonderful things because they're not inhibited I think, My grandson is no slouch either.  One day when he was about 4, I found him throwing socks up in the air.  When I asked what he was doing, he said, "watching gravity."  Both of his parents are science teachers.  I think I've done enough proud grandparenting.

Someone asked when our honeymoon cruise is - Sept 20, pretty soon.  We're planning a reception party a week before that.  I'm working on the place cards.  I bought a really expensive outfit at Nordstom's, totally out of character but I'll take it on the cruise too.

Well, off to the beach.  See you all soon.  Love the songs and the px.

Celia here is a pic of the clock in that picture at the Mission Inn you have good eyes!!

It is still a beautiful hotel..a friend drove up with me and she said her rich uncle used to stay

there for the summer in the olden days and she used to go visit and swim in the pool...her

non rich uncle used to be a barber in the hotel...it is still a wonderful place to stay..a little pricey for us...I guess it should be relocated to a spot on the beach...now that would be perfect!!

Ah Goodmorning all my beach friends! Back from church. I am Hearten to see my Church Friend there! It so good to see that although she is now bald, she still looks so vibrant in spite of all she is starting to go through! She has just started a job through our church, taking over the youth ministry. I think it will be a tough life lesson's for the youth of our parish....My son the 11 year old, saw that she was now bald. He ask why, I was up front with him. Understanding & beginnings of compassion in eyes so young!

Thanks for the beauty our beach Photo Bugs show us!

Shrink ~ Remember to blow that ships horn, so we can wave to you from the beach!

Faith ~ It's the weekend, your aloud to take a load off & Goof off with us! I will look for a pic of those women!

Spar ~ What glorious things Grandkids come up with! I can't wait to hear words from my grandson! My son called the other night & said someone wants to say hi! HE put the phone to his one month old son who was fussy! In his fussyness it sounded like he was saying 'HI'! Ohhh I just want to hold him! Thanks for the visual my Laugh Sister!

Celia ~ My favorite ice cream is a Turtle blizzard! From D.Q.! I haven't had one in a while. All this talk of ice cream lately! YUMMM!

Lisa ~ I don't know anything about this Mission. I'm glad your showing me new places!  It's always good to learn!

Jazzz ~ Where is the song of the day?

To all the rest of my new friends here! AHOY MATES! I'm off to dream land! Back to work tonight, for 3 more nights!

Good Morning Beach Buddies, I am a star! I was on TV last night cause of the heat and the cool down place in my city. Everyone in Auburn is asking me about breast cancer and lymphedema. I hope this can help others that are fighting for help. I am ready to buy an AC, But fall is not far away. I wish everyone the best and remember to be good to yourself. Sahile and friend I need a cool lemonade it getting hot again! Send hugs to all that need them.Take care, luv Debbie

Congrats FootsDebs!  Way to be the spokes woman.

I wish we could see it.  Way to go!

    *

    Enjoy.  Looks lip smackin delish.

Now I must really jump in the guzzler and head to the farm.

Oysters need shucking and smoking and the sun is making it's way through the fog.

    XOXO

Sahalie, I want to come to your smoked oyster shin dig!  My DH and I make oyster, jalopenas, and cheese nachos and they are wonderful.

Foots, can i have your autograph.  Do you not have any air conditioning at all??

We are treating the duck ourselves, he seems to be doing much better today.  I'm still mad at the dog but the duck started following him around again plucking at his ears like they are friends again but I will never leave them alone together again, one or the other will take turns staying in a dog house/wire pen my dh built, the dog house and one end is water proof and the other part is open to the weather.  So it should work for when we have to use it, hopefully not often.

Julz, that grandbaby will be called you something quicker than you think, time just flys by.

Am going walking on the beach and see what I can see. love to all
