The Oaks have to be tenderly and very carefully pruned.

glad to hear the oaks are just pruning and sad to lose the big red wood but The huge tree in our front yard is only about 8 inches from the porch and the roots have already split the porch but the grandkids swing is in it and bird nest of robins so can't bring myself to cut it down. The new house will be far enough away from the trees front and back that we won't have to worry about roots. My stepson calls me a tree hugger because I can't bear to lose any. We did cut down a horse apple tree because not only was it ugly the horse apples are good for nothing and ruin the lawn mower. My husband is wanting the computer so back later this evening.

Good morning all my beach friends...thank you so much for making me feel so welcome on this thread. I don't usually name each of you individually (my brain sucks that way) but I read all!
Sahalie started a beautiful idea with the sea shells...
...candy sea shells on a bed of brown sugar sand (can you tell I am dieting???)...
...and a beautiful amber studded stairway to the skies...

hmmm.......is this beach at Roswell??
I had a fantastic day yesterday meeting up with a friend that i had lost touch with when i was diagnosed with bc 4 years ago. We spend hours catching up and laughing. She has grown so strong and confident in these last years and i enjoyed every minute of the day.
today i am taking my closest friend in the Pacific Northwest to her birthday lunch. Will have to check in later to hear what is happening on the beach. Have a great day beachettes!!!

Sige: you are the PERFECT fit for our beach-full of delights for the senses, eye candy, word wit, music-of-the-world, shells, frothy drinks -- well, that does encompass a wide cross section..... all are welcome indeed. LOVE these shell images.
Sahalie, interesting about the redwoods near the house, a certain recipe for distaster for a house. We were able to hike the redwoods when our kids got married in CA, several years back. Towering, mamoth. Inspirational.
Spar: nice to hear that you're sharing your computer!
Jasmine: just nice to see you checking in with a country two-step. Work. Necessary evil.
Margo: so tickled to see such a lengthy post from you. Glad that you had a moment to catch your breath and catch up here. I've never been to Hawaii, so I'll be living vicariously thru your trip. Safe travels. Enjoy the looking forward part of the journey.
Footie: thanks for the explaination of your interview. Awesome. Glad that you were able to draw concern and attention to LE and the way that heat aggravates the condition.
Celia: are you out being creative somewhere? Painting perhaps? Always looking for you.
Julz: what fun..... a household of men. Can just picture it, after raising two girlie girls.
Time to go "work" before this afternoon's gazebo concert -- it's Wed.
Saint: check in when you get a chance...... when will you get the results?
Wingers: can't imagine what you're up to, so come and tell us.
Shrink, Lisa, Deborye, summer, Janny, HeyMoose and the rest of the crew, happy sunny afternoon to each and all!!

Good afternoon beachettes. Just a quick pop in during lunch. Its been raining all day here and its such a nice steady soft rain with such a lovely sound off the metal roof of my building that its putting me to sleep. Going to do a few laps around the building since I still have a few hours to go. I hope everyone is having a fantabulous day too.

Beach buddies, I got some wonderful news that I want to share, my best friend in school, her name is JJ. She is stage IV but chemo kicked cancer butt and now her liver is clear but she is starting on arimidex and we all know what that can do to ya. She might be joining the board, hope so anyway. I am going to try to find some beautiful or at least strange beach art.

Hi All,
Still trying to recoup from my FUN weekend. DH and I participated in the MI midnight motorcycle ride. The ride is held at night to enjoy the cooler temps. We raise monies for Juvenile Diabetes. There are about 3,000+ motorcycles and we all gather at various locations then ride up to Mackinaw Bridge together. This is our third yr we have joined in on the ride. I have a few pictures to post later.
Julz and Faith - Thank you for the lighthouse pictures. I would love hanging out in them.
Hugs and greetings to all.

Hi All! I thought we could use some music on the beach tonight! Since Spar has the food & drinks, plus some really neat pics! When I post songs I have to use Internet exployer to get the songs easily to everyone. So I cannot post pics the way we do on other posts. This will be my last post for the night. Good night to my special beaches. Good to see you Wings, Faith, Spar, Heymoose, & to all the other Beachette's who were watching silently tonight! Enjoy the Tunes! LOVE TO ALL HERE! Julz
