Hurray, Its Saturday! Why can't everyday be Saturday. Kind of reminds me of that song 'In Camelot'. Life is perfect there. I've got the coffee on so everyone get their cups out.
Faith -- any news on Sarah's test resuls?
Saint, Spar -- I will post some of my cross stitch pictures for sure. I tried to take some pics of my finished pieces that are framed but got too much glare from the glass so I'm going to buy a polarizing lense to go on my camera today to take care of that.
Julz -- I would love it if you would share some of your music finds. There's no monopoly on joy and music is joy to me.
Harley -- welcome to our beach.
Margaret -- hi to you. I will keep your situation in my prayers.
Sahalie -- please don't mind us land locked southerners. We've never had oysters, most of us anyway. Shoot, we just got us one of dem thar starbucks coffee shops and thought we was uptown. We're the ones who still go to walmart in our curlers and house slippers. I kid you not. But I love it here anyway.

Spar & Harley--as a newcomer I am not sure what problem you are sharing, but Ai's work with the same IDEA (to block the reception of hormones by the bc cells) but each uses a different mechanism. My onc has explained how each one differs as I have switched from one to another. I have been on tamoxifen, femara, faslodex & now aromasin. Hugs & prayers for you both.
F&F---did you know Bobby Vinton is in Fish Creek this weekend??? Bet you & Al will just beat a path to his show!!! hahahha

Today's pic is the cool, beautiful coastal redwoods. They only exist in a 26 mile stretch of No Ca. Truly a natural cathedral---was deeply touched by the morning we spent there....

I'm sorry to read about all the side effects. At one point on Neulasta or Decadron or whatever
the heck I was given, I was curled up in a ball for 48 hours in excruciating pain.
Chemo knocked my socks off from here to Scotland.

Maui is calling you Margaret. Do you hear it. Tell Lahaina hello for me. If you have never
gone up to the top of the Haleakala Crater I recommend it big time. It reminded me of
the sliding down a huge sand dune but it really takes a while to trek on down into it.
There are huts down in there for hikers to stay if they wish. Beautiful place. One big sand
box. Have fun!

It is with a lump in my throat and sadness in my heart but I no longer feel comfortable posting on Sahalies beach thread. So will not be posting here anymore because I guess I am too curious and really like to get to know people inside not just the superficial. I will miss you all and if anyone wants to keep in touch with me you can pm me or I might start a thread to show our amatuer crafts. I have come to care about each and everyone of you. Let the foamy water crawl up around your toes and wash away again and again.......enjoy the serenity of this calm beach and the gentle tropical ocean. Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing in and out......We are here on this beach for a fleeting moment and even though we will walk other paths in life, we are all present today.

I was not aware that any thread was the "posession" of any 1 or 2 ppl. Correct me if I am wrong, but is not Each person here an Eual participant on this thread?? As far as I can tell, there are some who post often, others who just stop in ocassionally & others (like F&F & I) who have an established relationship. So be it! As I said on entering this "beach" I want a sign that says ALL ARE WELCOME! Why can that not seem to happen anywhere on this site?? I came here in hopes of leaving all the stress of women not getting on in the chat room---then I find it here, too? Can this be changed?

And apparently I've offended someone with my comment.
What can I say? I'm two and a half years out and lately I have been wondering what it is that draws me back to bco. To be honest, I think this was a sign for me that my time is over here.
This is okay though...it was good for me when I needed it...and I met some really great people. It's time to go spend time with friends in my real life!

Okay, I don't know what the heck is going on. All I'm going to say is that I love both of these ladies: {{Sahalie}} {{Spar}} <in no particular order> I've learned that the worst thing to do in these situations is when others get involved in a disagreement/misunderstanding between two people. It just makes the situation worse. You are BOTH cherished and an integral part of this thread. I hope that in a few days, things will look better to both of you. The beach will be here waiting for both of you with open arms and unconditional love for you BOTH.

Okay, I didn't get to the store to buy the lense I needed because...its hot out there and being such a 'delicate' little flower, no way in heck I'm leaving my air conditioning. So...I took some pictures and hopefully you can just ignore the glare.

AlwaysHope, i absolutely agree with you. I, too, love both of those ladies: sahalie and spar. I also think that things get quickly out of hand when others get involved and give opinions about what is going on between two other people. It just makes things a lot worse. The beach thread is here waiting for you both like AlwaysHope says.

This wonderful thread is not mine. I had nothing to do with it's creation. It was as I said, created by Angel Charlene who was treated so horribly wrong. We all have carried it on in the manner she created it and respect for her and one another.
I wish Charlene was here so she could also tell you to please stay.
Spar* Please reconsider. You are such a loving wonderful friendship part of this thread.
The biggest drama on this thread was the horrible way Charlene was treated by those who got her banned and they were not a part of this thread.
I've just tried to bring my own ways of smiles and comfort. Like each of us.
I don't know what else to say.
I hope Jazz and all our beach babes in the path of Gustav are safe and have all the supplies you need to see it through.

The written word, not having any tone, can be easily misunderstood. Your last post, Sahalie, was easy to understand & had the kindest tone. HUGS
Every shell on the beach has a story. I hope everyone can appreciate the cracks & chips that come from rolling in the surf. Some of us have traveled a long distance & may not look so pretty, but oh the stories we can share.
Just as in "real" life, there will be storms on this beach. I would like to think that we all choose to stay & see where the waves will take us.

Don't anyone leave, please. We have enough losses already. I don't post often but enjoy all of your company, your music, photos and art. It's a pleasant and supportive diversion from my darker thoughts.
I've been busy making place cards for the reception and figuring out who should sit where. It gave me great satisfaction to do the invitations myself. I don't know what I would have done if I were working. One day I'll figure out how to post px so you all can see my grandchildren, me and my husband and some of my art work. The sand sculptures fascinate me. What a lot of work and talent to be wiped away so quickly by the shore - a life lesson I guess.
