This is so peaceful, beautiful clear blue water, white sand and a star fish. Such simple things in life can make us so much happier.

Dream time beach buddies!
Spent the afternoon curtain & school shopping. Then went for a decadent meal at Famous Daves---it's a chain (not sure how wide spread it is) that serves a trash can lid full of ribs, cole slaw, bbq chick, brisket, beans, corn muffins, corn on the cob & french fries---you get the general pig-out-picture?? Groaning.......
dd got a couple of cute accessories for her beach room--will have to take pix & post them soon..
Tonite's pix are of my dd---but like Sahalie, I tend NOT to post personal info or clear pix (my kids are threaned on pain of death if they do!!)-----so you get the dance class at the barre (she is in the middle) & a dark under exposed cut off head pic--this was her first pointe solo & she dedicated it to me!!! song was Let it Be...I cried all thru the whole surprise at that recital!! sob & hugs LOL

Sahalie, how is your weather? It's cooled down some, we're in the 80s now so it's
very comfortable. Maui is Friday. Have been to Haleakala a few times.
My favorite is still the road to Hana - have even been to where you're not supposed
to go with a rental car - felt like I was on Mars.Foots, how are you feeling today?
Shrink, posting pics. Good job, and love your pic.
Faith, love the aqua car.
Saint, that sounds like a good dinner.
Spar, you're putting me in the mood for the beach for sure.
Only a few more days! I called the hotel today and they have free internet
access so I'll bring my laptop with me so I can keep in touch.0 -
yay!!! we are going to be on the beach in Maui with Margaret!!!!!!!

I am handcuffing myself to you. Oh to go to Maui!!!
What a paradise
0 -
Ohhhh Margret---thanx for taking us along--I've never been to Hawaii!!!!
Faith- I fear you have created a monster! LOL I found one more pic of my girl en pointe when I was loading more pix at photobucket--so I gotta post this cuz I am so incredibly proud of her for staying with it long enough to be able to do this!!!!!! Guess this is one of those instances where she has had the opportunity because I never did! Hugs with a sweet pirouette.....

Happy Waves are Waving Evening to ALL and Each shining shell*
Today was the day I was telling you all about a few days ago out at a wonderful little
hamlet on the coast called Tomales.
It was the Founder's Day celebration today with parade and all.
It was a most fun filled smiling and perfect weather day.
Cooler temps. Clear blue sky.
Anyway* There was the parade. Tons of peoples.
And for our Jewels of the bike world there were tons of bikers.
Janny et al would have love loved it.
Wonderful live music and the aforementioned bbq.
I still smell like bbq smoke but I love it.
We enjoyed every minute. So many goings ons.
Even a small flea market selling used books and assortments of "junk".
Yeppers. Junk! I thought of you guys and if we were all there together
how we would be go through that place like locust looking for treasures.
Spar. Sweet shining shell thank you for your hand with daisy in return.
Daisies are also one of my mostest favorites.
I love that picture of the quiet beach with the lone star fish.
So peaceful.
XOXO
Margaret. Yes finally cooler temps just today.
But* It's supposed to warm up into the 90's again mid week.
Have a great time on your trip. I can smell the plumeria already.
*
Shrink. Wowzers. High five on posting your pictures. Congrats!
Saint. XOXO. I love the toe shoes and knowing they belong to your daughter
make them so very extra wonderful.
I love ballet. Thank you for sharing.
Celia. You are truly incredible with the pictures you find.
Some of those drift wood hearts almost
look like angels rising into heaven in their design.
Jazz. I see I have some Valentines so will answer them pronto.
Your needle point works are fantastic. Such dedication and life long treasures.
Harley. If you TP the cabana watch out for the beach patrol.
They love that kind of stuff and equally love any excuse to track you down
and tickle you into a confession.
Then they make you clean it all out of the trees while they watch
then follow it all up with a moon lit swim.
Foots. Thinking of you always.
This week will have it's challenges but always remember we are all here with you.
XOXO
And just think * * * Tomorrow is another day off !
Waves are waving*

Not to be left out of beach fun and frolic is our little black pearl named "Lilli"
She is always on the look out for wild and raucous sea shells who
scamper the beach with renegade and questionable rolls of Tee P or is that Tee Pea
and who abuse the privilege of keeping a clean and tidy Cabana.
Beach Babes. Meet " Lillie"

I love you all, so much more than you realize, so much more than is rational, so much more than is reasonable..... our 'extreme' situations have brought us together and will keep us together.
I'm so relieved to know that we can have misunderstandings and straighten them out. What an incredible example to those who read here regularly, but have yet to post. This thread was born out of conflict and it's an enormous tribute to it's origination that we have overcome.
Everyone posting here means a great deal to me, to my journey, to my growth. I treasure each of you and your contributions -- in ways that I don't even understand.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Glorious pictures Faith, thank you for all you do.
Well, finally got my outside chores done and am wringing wet with sweat. Decided to take a little break here on the computer before I start in indoor chores. My DH is in northern okla hunting with his 85 year old father and 1 of his brothers for dove, and they eat everyone they get. I refuse to cook or eat them so DH does it.
Was gonna post a pic of my new stained glass sun catcher but my dh took out the batteries from my camera putting them in his flashlight for the day. He left at 1am this morning to pick his dad up at 3am, are they nuts or what, but i love getting a day all to myself every once in a while.
African daisy modified daisy happy daisy and happy days.
gotta get busy love and hugs to all

Good Morning from the Quiet abode cabana of Sand Dune Street.
Today is the celebration of Labor Day so I hope you all have a chance
to spend this day with family and friends.
Have a fun bbq in the good old backyard.
What ever brings smiles and closeness.
Today is also a day of massive labor for those fleeing Gustav and the comfort of their
own Cabana's.
I wish the people of New Orleans and the beach areas of Texas or any areas hit by
Gustav could enjoy this day.
It must be so difficult building and rebuilding where water
meets the land in such a way to cause such strife and stress.
Never knowing what year the Atlantic will get whipped up and
venture inland.
*
Here on our beach *
So Party on.
*
Rockin' Island Party tonight at the Broiler Head Tiki Cabana.
Follow Parrothead.
See All's Mui*ana.
Can someone bring the little umbrella's?
I'll bring the limes. : )
Have a good one! Be safe!

Julz, after you have them in your documents you can sign up for photobucket and it has a icon to click on the upload the pictures from your computer to a page with them then you can rt click on the picture and click copy then go to bc.org site and rt click it again to paste. My computer will only let me paste from the web, won't let me paste pictures from my kodak pictures so I guess it has to be on the web.
Here are some drink umbrellas to make the drinks attractive.
wow, crafts can be made out of almost anything, a drink umbrella light.

The End of Summer in Real Time.
Never on the Beach.
We are supposed to know the end of summer has arrived.
I know perfectly well it's not the end of summer, at least by our hot weather.
Many of us are in for a sweltering September.
But it is the end of summer as defined by the calendar.
Labor Day is the symbolic seasonal bookend when we are s'posed to pack away our
summer whites.
No way in this Cabana. I'm actually buying more whites for my vacation.
Is it really the end of summer?
If so I don't want to realize it. I do love Winter though.
Just not ready to go there quite yet.
Still languishing in summer delights.

Spar shining shell. Perfecto umbrella's!
Julz. Go to Photobucket website. Open account (free).
It will give you all instructions.
Then you are able to "upload" the pictures you wish from your
own personal files.
Or and also.
Pictures you upload from the web to Photobucket to the Beach.
Voila'
Have fun!
We posted a back a few pages how to keep pictures in the 500 X 500
range to fit this box.
Very easy.
Don't forget to wear your flip flops while doing the above. : )

Good afternoon Beach babes. I just got home from shopping shopping shopping. I found some new things to make for Christmas. This time its for kids. Those quilted Christmas books. They had one made up at Hobby Lobby and it was just the coolest and cutest thing. Of course, I spent lots of money that I shouldh't have. I really need to stay out of Hobby Lobby, its like a drug for me. Happy Labor day to everyone. I'll be back later but I'm worn out and headed for a nap right now.

Oh Faith, I deleted the pics of my cross stitch from photobucket because some were blurry and some had glare on the glass. I finally got a polarizing lense and will replace them today so you will be able to see them too.

and hard to do
fun for others to find
and eye-boggling to look at too
WOW!!!

those tp'ers are so creative and full of energy and clever!!!
that sounds like it could be our spar doesn't it !!!
i have to hurry today and help a dear friend with a chore. Be back later.

No way, how did they do that! It is mind-boggling.
Jaz, hobby lobby does the same thing to me. I told my husband I needed to make a trip to hobby lobby and he just rolls his eyes but the thing is he goes staight to the sales isles and usually buys stuff there. He's loaded up on canvases and paints, which he will start painting again this winter, he is good. He works with oils. Those books sound so cool, how many little kids are you making them for?
It is so hot and humid here today. Just walk outside and breaks a sweat. I have 3/4 of my indoor chores done so going to finish the rest and be back later. hugs to all
