Had my US yesterday. Finished the US and she tells me to go ahead and go to the bathroom and when I get back we'll do the transvaginal US!!! No one told me that. I made her show it to me. I came back from the bathroom and she started in and would you believe I had another full bladder. She said she couldn't see my ovaries so she had to pull it out, I had to go to the bathroom again and she had to reinsert it!!! Then, after I'm done the door opens and who is there - the dr. She had to do another US because my endometrial lining is about 3 times thicker than normal so she was going to recommend a biopsy or follow up by my gyn. Does it ever end?
Sorry for whining. I didn't even read back but I hope everyone is fine. I'll be back later tonight to say hello to everyone.

Saint, I just saw your Devils Tower pic! We went there twice when we were in Sturgis. It is the most awe-inspiring thing I've ever seen. Just unbelievable! I think I have that same pic, lol! I'm sorry you are going through tough times now. Hugs to you.
Computer virus at work is almost dead. The tech said he couldn't believe how bad it was. There was a big ole Trojan Horse, among other things.
We are leaving for our trip tomorrow, so I will talk to you when I get back! Beachie keen!

Julz--thanx for the info----doesn't Big Brother sound like a name for a popular TV show? Like Weeds?? What would I know? Until this winter when I had little else to do I hadn't really watched TV for years!!!!! Now I'm hooked on all kinds of crap..like Weeds...lol
Spar--now that F&F & my dd have tutored me on posting pics I will try to show you some of the things I have created. I always use the word PRIMATIVE to describe my stuff--hahahaha

Hi to all you Lovely Beach Babes, I am back and not feeling well. I caught a cold while away and it is kicking my but. My dh's back went out yesterday and he is not having a good time of it. He is upstairs in bed and I will be joining him when I finish here.
The weekend was great, the college is very nice and the weather was wonderful. We did a shopping trip to BJ's, Target and Walmart for a pretty penny. Oh well, it is worth it for Katie to have food and a place to put her clothes. The hotel was nice and the casinos were great.
I will catch up on everyone in the next few days. Enjoy your Holiday weekend and enjoy your beaches where ever they my take you. (((((HUGS))))) to all.

BikerJan - Travel safe on your holiday bike trip. We have a picture of Devils Tower too and Mt. Rushmore. Will try and post sometime.

Sahalie - I have never tried oysters......they look good. Is your redwood down? I'm sure it was hard for you to lose it. We are in the process of having a mature maple tree cut down. Sad about losing it but it makes such a mess in the late spring with the little helicopter seedlings plugging up the pool filter and clogging up our gutters. DH thinks he can chop it down himself. I asked him how much our house insurance deductible was cause he may as well use that towards hiring someone. I can just picture the tree landing in the pool area or garage. Timber........lord help him!
JaZ - Hope you have some time off for the holiday weekend. Tell me your not planning on cleaning out any closets this weekend.
Spar - Thank you for thinking of me and posting that lighthouse picture that had all the twinkling lights. I would love Christmas cards made from that picture. I have always been fascinated by lighthouses. My kitchen is lighthouse themed and I collect miniature lighthouses. We have visited just about every lighthouse in MI while on our motorcycle. It is a dream of mine to spend a night in a lighthouse. I have a sense of peace/tranquil when I am near a lighthouse. It represents a pillar of strength and there have been times in my life when I have had to stand strong. Other times I have felt all alone in the darkness and have needed a beacon to guide me on the right path. And that is part of why I am a lighthouse freak.
Margo - Having the biopsy will give you peace of mind to move forward. Enjoy Hawaii first...... deal with it when you come back.

Dear Beach Friend, I want to thank everyone for the support and the footprints, That reminds me I am never alone( With the Lord and friends) I have been at P Therapy to do my own workout and got a name of a lady with a brain tumor that is blind! I am so blessed, I hope to take her out and visit or work on helping where I can. I know I cant do too much. But I am very lucky even with all the trails I can see. Well I need to go ice, I am swollen. Thanks again and my prays are with you all. Faith, New Dr same clinic, Sahalie time for treats and better cuties! Spar, please give your son a hug for me. Good morning beach friends. Another busy week has started here and thank goodness for cofee. I never used to be a cofee drinker for years but since starting this strange journey it seems to be the thing that keeps me going through the day.
Celia -- you had a shot in your shoulder? Sounds like you have frozen shoulder? I'm glad the shot is helping it to feel better. Yeehaw on the great follow ups. Its so nice to get through them with good reports.
Julz -- I'm so glad that things are looking up for you and your family. Don't work to hard and get lots of sleep. Maybe one day we can win a lottery and all retire to the beach for real.
FPAngel -- did you post the results of your biopsy yet? I hope they can find you some relief. What a wonderful thing for you to do for the lady with the brain tumor. You truly are a beach angel. You do so many things for others. Hang in there. We are going into September next week and cooler temperatures are ahead. Before you know it we will be complaining about the cold and the snow and ice.
Spar -- looks like you got caught by the 'remote linking' police. Too funny!
Faith -- 50 lbs of salmon??? Can you two eat that much?
Congrats on finishing your illustrations. It sounds like your restful getaway has inspired and blessed you. The TV news is awesome! Travel safe to Ohio. Any news on DD Sarah's tests yet?Saint -- I remember your easter egg head picture! I wonder what happened to the dreamcatcher site and all the pictures. I guess Andreana gave it up. I hope she is okay. I wish I had saved some of those pictures of Faye in Australia and Linda_CR, KarenFL. You're no thread mooch. Everyone brings what they have to offer and takes what they need. Sometimes you can offer more to others and then there are times when others will carry someone else. Its all good. Big Brother is a reality TV show where they put 12 to 13 strangers in a house full of cameras and microphones. They live together for 3 months and have to eliminate one person each week to get to the ultimate prize of half a million. There is manipulation, deceit, and trickery and you can watch it 24/7 on the internet through livefeed cameras. Plus, they have 3 shows on CBS a week to see the results of the nomination, veto, and eviction ceremonies. Its addicting.
Sahalie -- 200 oysters????!!! I've never had an oyster. There's just something about the thought of eating one that makes me uneasy. I was raised on the USDA brand food. If its not stamped 'USDA Approved', I don't eat it.
Sige -- love the footprint on the beach pics.
Margo -- I had one of the vag US and it was a big yuck factor. So sorry about the need for a biopsy. Are you taking tamoxifen? I've heard that it can cause thickening of the lining, doesn't it? Enjoy your vacation.
Biker -- glad to hear you are getting the computer back in working order. These people who do these lame viruses...imagine how much good they could do if they put their intelligence to something that would help people instead of hurt them. Have a nice time on your trip and travel safe.
Moose -- so sorry you are not feeling well. Starting college is such an exciting time. I'm glad you got DD all set up. I bet it was hard to leave.
Wings -- heck no I'm not cleaning out closets on holiday. Not this time anyway. I'm going to try to do something artsy crafty. I have a ton of UFO's that I really need to get finished. I have several cross stitch pieces that are 90% complete and I'm going to try to get them finished up. I love your travel pics.

I can see that I am going to spend lots of time going thru old pix to load into my album! It is also good cuz it will spark me into pulling out the camera again--been too long!
Shahalie--I was raised on LI----we had clams & oysters at all local festivals (like they have corn on the cob & cheese curds here! LOL) Your smoked oysters make my mouth water-----any chance we could get some shipped overnite??????? I so miss the shore.......
Jas--I had LOTS of unfinished stitching laying about. When I first realized that the rads to my eyes were going to compromise my vision I pulled them out & stitched for a few weeks---it ALWAYS takes longer than you predict--but I finished them---my favorite was started over 20 years ago!! talk about procrastination!!!! I will try to take a pic & post it-- I am proud of it inspite of the mistakes--but there is a well held belief that we SHOULD make mistakes in order to personalize our creations-so I COULD say it's on purpose!! LOL-that's my story & I'm sticking to it!

I'm am finding I look forward to this thread---I am glad I was invited & thank you for making me feel a part of the beach party! Especially YOU, celia my friend!!!!! When we work with any unnamed cats at the humane society we can name them-- I have decided everyone here will get a kitty named after them!!! I'll try to take pix & post them as it happens. It may take months, but I'll do my best. It will be different going alone next week with everyone going back to school/work.....sigh. How DO you send kids to college?? my oldest is a HS senior this year & I already feel sad about his leaving...............

Only we are so new to each other. I guess you could say that's the Magic of the beach!

hi beachies! yesterday i got together with my long-lost pal and had an uplifting visit. She is absolutely a fascinating person. Finding her again has been such a positive experience for both of us. She is an entrepreneur and it is amazing to watch her mind create opportunities to explore with her abundant energy.
jasmine, you always sound so organized. You said you are going to work on some unfinished projects today. I have so many unfinished projects, but thankfully, i have many more finished ones that i have done in my life, that i don't let the unfinished ones guilt me out. I just think of them as "works in progress" and i contemplate them now and then. Once in a while one of them takes off in my mind as i mull it over and i am able to do whatever action i need to do to declare it finished.
saint, i love your pictures...please keep them coming!!! keep loading them in your album and bring them to us. You certainly are a very capable beachie with your new found skill. I love the beaded Christmas balls. I was doing beaded drawings when i was diagnosed with bc and that stopped me in my tracks. Now i am on to new things. Part of my theory in art is to embrace mistakes because you can learn a lot from them and can develop a new and unexpected path to travel on with the project you are working on. You are a very strong woman--- i can see you always facing the truth squarely on. I am happy to know you and glad you are here on the beach!
