I am back on for a bit, can't concentrate or sleep right now.  Thank you all for your comments and prayers for Cassandra.  It reminded me of losing my dad because Cassandra's husband was alone in his truck and my dad was alone in his little house in the country, was sitting up leaning against the bed with his legs spread wide and the telephone between his legs and the receiver off so I know he was scared and had tried to call for help.  Tomorrow I promise to post sunny happier things.  Tonight just thank you for being there.  love and hugs to all.

    Look what I found!

May not pertain to anyone on the beach but the title is fun.

    *

    A snippet from Chapter 1

I'm not the kind of girl who wants anyone to feel sorry for her.

So after my fiancé jilted me less than four weeks before our wedding date, and since the invitations had already been sent, my only recourse was to lie low and wait for everyone to simply forget.

Consequently, I became a recluse. If I wasn't at work, teaching a delightful class of five-year-olds, who couldn't care less about my shattered love life, I could be found holed up in my apartment, escaping all unnecessary interaction with "sympathetic" friends.

And that's when it hits me. And it's so totally obvious I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. I will become a house flipper! Just like the people on my favorite HGTV show, I will figure out a way to secure a short-term loan, purchase a fixer-upper house, and do the repairs and decorating myself-with my dad's expert help, of course!

My profit margin and spirits are steadily sinking. Maybe my idea to flip a house has already flopped. Just like the rest of my life.

Sahalie, I am profoundly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved DH.  I didn't know.

Thank you for the wonderful Paradise Biker clothes!  I love them!  One of our friends (a biker), is a quirky minister and he wears those kind of shirts all the time.  We call them "Dan shirts", lol!  He even wears them to church, with a pair of flag-striped Converse All-Stars.

    Celia, just beautiful sand sculptures!

Uh oh, thunder and lightning!!!!!  Time to go.  I'll be back a little later.

Goodmorning beach friends.  It is cloudy and cooler here for which I am thankful.

Stepson is coming to spend a few days so I need to get to the grocery store sometime today.

I think first I will take a walk on the beach and clear my head and enjoy nature and watch the ocean.

I would love to visit all those places but I will also stay in where I am.  Once an Okie always an Okie, we do have rivers and lakes, beavers bend, a salt lake, a dunes park for riding 4 wheelers, the arbucke mountains and turner falls.  You can still get a nice home for a reasonable price. Plus most of my family is here and hopefully my son will be moving back after Kaleb graduates hight school.  I love the 4 seasons.  I wonder if we all feel that way about our states.  love to travel but love to come home

Oh my!  I got a new avatar and she looks naked!  I swear she isn't.  lol!

    Faith, beautiful pics, as usual!

Sahalie, is that a photo of your farm?  Even if not, it is just lovely.  I'm glad you have gotten some rain and hopefully things will cool off.  We had a whopper of a storm this morning.  It was dark as night, with thunder and lightning.

Julz, that storm was pretty impressive, huh?

Spar, that underwater photo is absolutely beautiful.  Very calming.  You post some pretty funny cartoon also!

I'm washing windows today, so I've taken enough of a break!  Back to work!
